Hello Design

Not sure why or when this page was deleted? Even an explanation would help. Hello is an MDC Partners agency and if you look at the page for MDC, other agencies like CP+B, Bruce Mau Design, and The Media Kitchen all have their own pages. —208.77.232.38 (talk) 18:10, 19 November 2017 (UTC)

It was deleted in July as unambiguous promotion. Further, it was created by an editor with a conflict of interest; that doesn't always mean the article is spammy, but it increases the odds. —C.Fred (talk) 18:20, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
Also see WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. It doesn't matter what other articles may exist on Wikipedia; each one stands or falls on its own merits. If other promotional articles exist, that's a reason to delete them, not a reason to include one more. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:33, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

Albi Albertsson

The article contained a list of published works including very famous songs, to which this composer was linked. It is not uncommon for fans of popular music like K-Pop to look up an overview of a specific composers works. Requesting for the page to be undeleted with possible deletion of information not backed by reliable sources. —91.66.237.80 (talk) 05:19, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

Since you have started a DRV, we can let that run. It does appear that User:Kelvinlei created the page. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 11:36, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
My DRV was closed for being an "obvious sock" (I am not). I don't have time to argue with bureaucrats on Wikipedia to unblock me so I made a new account. Besides, Wikipedia is viewed by millions... if an article was incorrectly deleted (as this draft was it's quite obvious), it shouldn't matter what user is making the request... that's petty politics instead of focusing on creating a better Wikipedia for all. Simply stated, a valid article is bigger than any one user and should be treated as such. Judgewang1 (talk) 16:48, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
Well in any case this page is only for undoing uncontroversial deletions, and that doesn't include G5. The right forum for contesting this is WP:DRV, or potentially WP:AN. Hut 8.5 18:47, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

RareNoiseRecords

RareNoiseRecords was the wiki page of our record label, operating for now 9 years in US, UK, Europe, Japan. The Label's activity has been covered in the press, quite extensively, either directly or through reviews of the Label's production. The page was created by a third party (possibly a fan) and I proceeded to maintain and expand it from there. The page was crucial, as it provided a nexus to link together all the pages of artists involved with the label, whose output was listed on their pages. We understand that the page was soft deleted, and we ask that you please revert the page to its previous state. We are happy to provide you with links / information etc that you may need. Please advise. —Gbruzzo (talk) 12:48, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

Hillsong Church Kiev

The page was speedily deleted back in August because of a false charge of copyright violation by someone who has not done WP:BEFORE. The nominator thought the article was lifted from the church's Facebook page; however, the FB page he linked to is an _unofficial_ page; it's not the church's official page. I happen to be sure that some random fans created the page and just copied the text from the Wikipedia article (the page has a reference - "Content from the Wikipedia article Hillsong Church Kiev (contributors) licensed under CC-BY-SA"—although I don't see the content in question anywhere; I think it is a community page where the content is automatically fetched from WP, and since this content has been deleted from WP, it is also not there on the FB page). Although I now have no access to the history of the page to provide relevant links, but I happen to remember how that article mostly came about—it was a serious tug-o'-war between different contributors, so I encourage administrators to study the article history and see for themselves that the article text was not just lifted from somewhere. Moreover, Facebook Pages was introduced in November 2007, and I seem to remember that at least part of that text-congealing must have taken place _before_ that. I don't know how to look up when a particular page on Facebook was created, but I'm pretty sure the FB page in question was created years and years after the Wikipedia page; and if the page on FB is indeed a "community page", those were introduced in 2010. I can provide the original of the picture that is the userpic of this FB page (which its authors have lifted from here, Wikipedia). There was a page deletion discussion a couple of years ago, which happened without me because I don't really monitor my talk page. The result was "keep". I don't intend to put up a fight about the page as such (if someone thinks the content should be merged into the main Hillsong page, I have nothing against it), but I do take exception to an article of mine being deleted for copyright infringement where there was none. For all I know Wikipedia keeps logs of editors whose articles were deleted for copyright infringement, and my username is now on some blacklist or whatnot. So please investigate the matter per above, and please first undelete—and then merge or whatever. —Latreia (talk) 22:17, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

According to Timeline of Facebook, "Community Pages", which are populated with content from Wikipedia, were introduced in April of 2010. "Pages" as such were introduced on November 6, 2007. Some milestones that I remember from that time make me think that most of the article that is requested to be undeleted took shape around September-October 2007. Someone who has access to the article and its actual history can verify. Latreia (talk) 22:32, 20 November 2017 (UTC)

Samskip

Samskip derives from the Federation of Co-operatives, Samband, which started a shipping company, Samband Line, in 1943. Samband Line, a division of Samband, was changed into a limited company in 1991 called Samskip hf. Samskip employs approximately 1,500 people working in more than 26 countries worldwide as well as agents in other locations. It is a well known company and has a lot of news activity. It should therefore be on Wikipedia, without a commercial text. For example: http://www.tradewindsnews.com/daily/95272/samskip-to-buy-geest-line https://theloadstar.co.uk/coolstar/euro-container-line-acquisition-a-cool-move-for-samskip/ http://worldmaritimenews.com/archives/226064/samskip-to-expand-norway-presence-with-nor-lines-takeover/MitchellStrb (talk) 08:18, 22 November 2017 (UTC)

It is worth mentioning that this article has also been deleted under the name Samuel Robinson (actor). It is also suspicious that two distinct versions of the Samuel Abiola Robinson were created by different editors on the same day, so we may be looking at UDP or COI editing.--SamHolt6 (talk) 22:37, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
And deleted earlier under the name Samuel Robinson (Actor) with a capital 'A'. The (actor) and (Actor) pages were created by a single-purpose account (likely the subject himself based on the username and immature comment on the userpage), and that same SPA account contributed to this latest incarnation as well as providing the only 'keep' vote in the last AFD. Probably not UDP but definitely COI. ~Anachronist (talk) 00:26, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

John Hoffmire

The reason that was cited for deletion from the administrator, who goes by the alias of Sandstein, was that my argument for keeping the piece was disregarded because he doesn't like that I argued using upper-case letters. This argument is ridiculous, to say the least, because an article must be deleted only if it fulfills Wikipedia's deletion criteria, not because a user doesn't like the way someone argues. Moreover, the person whom I created a Bio in Wikipedia, John Hoffmire, easily fulfills criteria 5,6 and 7 from Wikipedia's WP:NACADEMIC criteria, which should have been a strong argument in favor of keeping the article. The discussion can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/John_Hoffmire , the administrator response to why the bio I created was deleted can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Sandstein#Deletion_of_Dr._John_Hoffmire_page Finally, I do admit, that arguing with upper-case letters is not the most polite way to do it, yet, there are criteria by which Wikipedia guide discussions and settle arguments, and arguing in upper-case letters does not violate any of Wikipedia's criteria. Moreover, I'm more than willing to modify any the Bio in order to comply with any other issues there may exist in order to keep the article. Best Regards and thank you! —Mario5554 (talk) 06:18, 24 November 2017 (UTC)

Note: The page was deleted as a result of a deletion debate. Admins will not undelete pages that were deleted with discussion here; go to WP:Deletion review or contact the administrator that closed the deletion debate instead. All-caps on the internet is interpreted as screaming, but that wasn't why it was disregarded. It was disregarded because your argument relied on sources that are tied to the subject. It's asinine to think that a subject's alma mater or employer is a third-party source (a third-party source has no connection, direct or indirect, to the subject what-so-ever). —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 06:54, 24 November 2017 (UTC)

Husch Blackwell

As someone who follows the legal industry and likes to improve related articles, I would like to work on the last draft of this article and improve it with third-party content. This firm is well known in the midwestern United States and has appeared in some industry news, e.g. [2] [3] and [4] (just from one source that I regularly follow). —Sekicho (talk) 16:49, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

Not done and will not be done. All you had on there was an advertisement for your YouTube channel, and it was correctly deleted per WP:NOTWEBHOST. That isn't what user pages are for. See Wikipedia:User pages and you're free to create a new page that conforms to Wikipedia policies. ~Anachronist (talk) 05:11, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

@Steve Cullen: I restored this before, but you did nothing to improve the page. What would you intend to do this time? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:05, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
@Graeme Bartlett: Thanks for looking at my submission. No work has been done on the article until now as I have been gathering further data to contribute towards notability. I didn't have the data before, hence why I haven't requested a restoration - the previous restoration was not at my request.I now have some more significant data on the subject that i hope will allow my article to meet the notability requirements. Regards, Steve

Philip Goring

I questioned the deletion of the page but nobody (person who had proposed deletion) returned my correspondence. Philip died on the 9th November this year although we had not had chance to update his page —Ainsley Brown (talk) 15:15, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

Not done - this page was deleted in accordance with criterion for speedy deletion A7. If you believe that this decision was made in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, please contact the administrator who carried out the deletion, user Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk · contribs). If you have already done so, your concerns can be taken to deletion review.
@Ainsley Brown: I don't see where you participated in the AfD discussion. Also, just dying probably isn't enough to make the person notable. However, if it generated a significant amount of in-depth coverage in reliable sources, then we might need to look at whether he now meets WP:GNG. —C.Fred (talk) 16:21, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

Spitshine Records

Spitshine Records, while small, was an important label in the queercore scene. Other small labels from that scene are documented on Wikipedia. See, for instance, Agitprop! Records and Outpunk. It is not clear under what criteria Spitshine should receive differential treatment other than, perhaps, the article being only a stub. —Mackaye (talk) 19:21, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

Valid sources will be added

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elvin Polanco , it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user King of Hearts (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:39, 1 December 2017 (UTC)
