Category talk:Video games with isometric graphics
Images
editObviously, this list should not contain images, even if they are in the category. How is this best solved? --Allefant (talk) 12:59, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Ultima Online
editCould someone edit the list to add Ultima Online? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.88.57.234 (talk) 20:03, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Ultima online is not isometric, it's oblique though and listed in [1]. 2A01:E0A:1A6:9D30:35B6:156F:EDB8:B532 (talk) 23:13, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
Torn World
editIn Bulbapedia, it is said that the Torn World section of the upcoming Pokemon Platinum game is in an isometric view. Should this be added to this list? Yugiohguy1 (talk) 20:56, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Max Payne
editWhy is max payne in this list? Is it referring to another game with the same name? The Max Payne in the listing links to the 3rd person action shooter from rockstar games, which uses perspective 3d projection. - Ævar Kvaran 17:22 19. look here I thought the same and thought of removing it, but had a look around. I noticed it is also a Gameboy advance game and thought that platform probably doesn't use 3D graphics. I searched on Google and found that version does use isometric view. Carlwev (talk) 16:28, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Sub categories
editI am thinking of, and may soon remove the subcategories; or at least reword the description. My reasons are. This is a category that is or should show games not necessarily franchises or series, that use isometric (or dimetric) view in game play but...
- Some subcategories contain soundtracks (Final Fantasy and Civilization)
- Some contain board games and card games (Civilization)
- Some contain old games which use overhead square view and not isometric view at all (SimCity and Civilization)
- Some contain newer games which use 3d graphics or another view, not isometric view at all (SimCity Societies, Civilization Revolution, Civilization IV, Civilization V, which uses 3d graphics and hexagon map, SimCity 4, which uses trimetric projection, Age of Empires III)
- All the games that actually do have Isometric (or dimetric) view are in the category anyway so there is not a real need for the sub categories to be linked from here when some articles in the sub categories, aren't in this category.
I thought I would just ask people's thoughts here before doing so; but if I hear nothing for a while I may go ahead and remove them. Carlwev (talk) 16:18, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
