Before posting, first discuss with the protecting admin at their talk page. Post below only if you receive no reply.
To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
If you want to make spelling corrections or add uncontroversial information to a protected page please add {{Edit fully-protected}} to the article's talk page, along with an explanation of what you want to add to the page. If the talk page is protected please use the section below.
Check the archives if you cannot find your request. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.
Reason: Can we set this subtemplate to match the rest of the Template:Occupation by nationality and century category headerprotections? I'm currently the primary maintainer/developer of this series of templates, but I don't have template editing privileges (nor am I particularly interested in getting them other than to edit this template). Mason (talk) 12:56, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
Done. If you want the template editor right, just ask me, I'll grant it. You've been around long enough, that's for sure. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:03, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
Ideally, requests should be made on the article talk page rather than here.
Unless the talk page itself is protected, you may instead add the appropriate template among {{Edit protected}}, {{Edit template-protected}}, {{Edit extended-protected}}, or {{Edit semi-protected}} to the article's talk page if you would like to make a change rather than requesting it here. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed.
If the discussion page and the article are both protected preventing you from making an edit request, this page is the right place to make that request. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to post requests.
This page is not for continuing or starting discussions regarding content should both an article and its discussion page be protected. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit you wish to make.

"On 1 April, seven aid workers from World Central Kitchen, including a dual US-Canada national, a Palestinian, three British citizens, an Australian, and a Pole, were killed in an Israeli airstrike south of Deir al-Balah" as per [10], [11]. 148.75.59.49 (talk) 23:26, 3 September 2024 (UTC)
Not done. The word "including" followed by a partial list isn't incorrect. Using "including" followed by a complete list makes no sense, and is unnecessary. Using "consisting of" might be better, but the terminology is inconsistent; in addition to "Pole" you may as well say "Brits" and "US-Candadians". ~Anachronist (talk) 17:28, 14 September 2024 (UTC)
I suggest adding to 'War Crimes' a section about the Sde Teiman detention camp. The use of concentration/torture camps is a very notable war crime and an important fact as it pertains to the ceasefire negotiations regarding hostage swaps. It is also relevant as many have been taken from Gaza and are being tortured under pretext of "interrogation." Jdftba (talk) 08:36, 9 September 2024 (UTC)
Not done because the request is too vague. The administrators monitoring this page are not involved with that article. You need to make a specific request, in the form "change X to Y" or "add X after Y" or something similar, with appropriate citations. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:08, 14 September 2024 (UTC)

Not done, revoked, and replaced with +eventcoordinator.@Elli, this right shouldn't be granted to those running events. The eventcoordinator group is much better suited as it excludes some more sensitive rights like override-antispoof and tboverride-account, but also grants the ability to mark users as confirmed if necessary. stwalkerster (talk) 20:46, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

Been on Wikipedia for a few years now. Mainly created BLPs. Requesting for autopatrolled rights to reduce the backlog of new page patrollers. I declare that I've understood verifiability, notability and copyrights. SerChevalerie (talk) 21:21, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
Created 407 articles, and only 2 were deleted—1 was soft deleted earlier in 2022, and the latest one was deleted per WP:A10, which is not a major issue. 99.5% or 405 of his articles are still live. I came across him while patrolling New Pages. I believe he is one of the users for whom this right was created. GrabUp - Talk 17:27, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
Requesting autopatrolled rights to help with the backlog I create when making articles related to major sporting events mainly covering athletics but sometimes also cycling and swimming. The articles I create are/will be individual sports results pages connected to large sports events like the Olympics/Paralympics/Summer University games/World Championships etc. I've had no issues with the articles I have created and they are normally reviewed very quickly however when a competition can have 20-40 events meaning 20-40 pages this small amount of time to review could be saved if I had autopatrolled. Can i please have extended confirmed rights back. I lost it because one day when i had a little less than 500 edits, i made about 45-55 edits in one hour in order to get to 500 edits. Im new to this site and didn't know gaming edits was against the rules. Ever since i lost the extended confirmed thing, I've made hundreds of edits i think are constructive and i stopped vandalism a few times and have a much better understanding of the rules. extended confirmed rights HumansRightsIsCool (talk) 21:59, 3 September 2024 (UTC)

Good day. I previously requested this permission but was declined due to lack of editing time on this account (I worked on an IP previously but have no way to prove this). At the risk of appearing too eager for this permission, I am requesting it again as I now have lengthier editing experience. I have demonstrated experience in AfC, AfD, CSD, draftification, and article creation. I also maintain rollbacker and pending change permissions. I believe I can be help bring down the NPP backlog and have the experience and policy understanding that is necessary to do so accurately. Garsh (talk) 01:31, 7 September 2024 (UTC)

Not done. Thank you for volunteering, but in reviewing your editing history I wasn't able to find sufficient experience with the deletion process to feel comfortable granting you the permission at this point in time. I encourage you to spend some time at WP:AFD and make policy based votes to show that you're comfortable evaluating notability. Alternatively, you can still apply to help out at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation. Hey man im josh (talk) 15:30, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
I want to be able to help out with the next backlog drive, and be able to get into the more maintennance-y tasks of Wikipedia. I have written 340+ articles, and I want to branch out and do something new for once (article creation does get boring after some time). I've participated in several AfDs (for some reason it only shows 6) and initiated multiple AfDs, have used AfC several times (which is also something I want to be able to help with) and have never been known to be uncivil to other editors (I am a host at the Teahouse as well). I also think I'm going to go through the NPP academy, to make sure I use these tools correctly and have more experience from other editors. I'd also rather prefer a trial run, because I want to see what the tool is like and learn how to use it before I go all-in. :) Sir MemeGod :D (talk - contribs - created articles) 15:35, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

Not done I noticed you started actively reverting vandalism a little over a week ago. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I'd like to see you spend more time gaining experience fighting vandalism before assigning you advanced permissions. Keep up the good work, and consider reapplying in a month. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits (I recommend using tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet which makes this extremely easy). Thanks, Fastily 21:15, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
Hello! I recently applied for rollback and withdrew my request after realizing that I was below the required 200 main space edit count. Now, I have 206 main space edits (mostly anti-vandalism work) as well as a month of experience. I would like access to rollback in order to use tools like Huggle and Anti-Vandal to revert vandalism more quickly. During my very first efforts to revert vandalism, I did fail to warn some users as I did not have access to RedWarn or Twinkle and had not yet read the related policies. Shortly after that, I read WP:VANDAL. Now, I believe I have since built a strong track record of warning the user every time I revert their edits and reverting only when appropriate. Thanks!
