Airbus A330
Please have a look at Airbus A330 to see if it now satisfies your comments. Thanks for your valuable time Sp33dyphil (T • C • I love Wikipedia!) 20:35, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Hello, please forgive my impatience during the last five days or so. I was wondering if you're still willing to further participate in the discussions regarding the good article review of the Airbus A330. Almost every point of yours at Talk:Airbus A330/GA1 have been fulfilled, with reasons given to the points that have not been followed. I believe it's well-written, factually accurate, broad in its coverage, neutral and stable. I've been quite critical towards my own edits, to see if the article can be improved, but I couldn't spot any significant area which require attention. I hope you will respond to this request and deliver an ultimatum about the article during the next day or two. Cheers Sp33dyphil (T • C • I love Wikipedia!) 09:04, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

I know that I shouldn't have vented my anger out through the additon of text on your talk page. Getting back to Airbus A330. I very grateful for your time. - Don't worry about it. I was probably in just as bad a mood, as to why I didn't respond as politely as I could. Good luck with the article, I'm sure it's within reach of the FA star. Arsenikk (talk) 09:36, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

March 2011 GAN backlog elimination drive a week away
WikiProject Good Articles will be running a GAN backlog elimination drive for the entire month of March. The goal of this drive is to bring the number of outstanding Good Article nominations down to below 50. This will help editors in restoring confidence to the GAN process as well as actively improving, polishing, and rewarding good content. If you are interested in participating in the drive, please place your name here. Awards will be given out to those who review certain numbers of GANs as well as to those who review the most. Strandholt's books
Hi, do you know whether some or all of these books are available in Norway? I found only this one at the library. Thanks, Eisfbnore talk 21:14, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Sporveismuseet (aka Lokaltrafikkhhistorisk Forening) has a bookstore at the museum at Majorstuen, and some of those may be fore sale. However, a lot of them are unreasonably expensive. The other thing is to ask around there and see if you can borrow the books from someone who has them privately. If you buy the Danish books, remember that you don't have to may value added tax (mva) to get them into Norway, as books are exempt; also, if being sent out of the EU, the Danish bookstore should be subtracting their moms, although the postage will still apply. Arsenikk (talk) 08:15, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
- Lilleakerbanen is available as e-book. Some of the others can be read at Nasjonalbiblioteket, and some at Teknisk Museums library, not sure if any of them are available for home loan. Check at ask.bibsys.no Paaln (talk) 13:07, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Sotra Bridge
The article Sotra Bridge you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Sotra Bridge for eventual comments about the article. Well done! Jezhotwells (talk) 00:01, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
The article Odd Arne Pedersen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- not sufficiently notable, & not even in that position anymore
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Re:Venue lists
I have them in the sandbox ready to be sent out. For some Olympics, biathlon, cross country, ski jumping, and nordic combined have the same locations, but not necessarily in all. I plan on busting this up by sport even though some are combo like bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton, similar to the medalists.
I have not seen the Oslo championships on TV in the US, but have been following them online on FIS's site.
I have been dealing with other matters at home right now. I just got engaged last month and will be married later this year. Chris (talk) 00:15, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Re: Congrats
Thank you! it was a great win for our Canadian team, we finished fourth in that event in Vancouver, and now they are world champs! It is huge win for our nordic program and I hope it raises the profile of the sport here. I am such a huge fan of the sport, I loved the action during the Olympics (and I try too look for video from the world championship, but it is not being televised again). How about Marit Bjørgen, she is on fire 4 gold medals already!!. Intoronto1125 (talk) 02:06, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Re:Venues lists
Sorry for the delay on your message from earlier this month, I have created an article for ice hockey with List of Olympic venues in ice hockey which is more inline with other articles such as List of Olympic medalists in athletics which was my 98th DYK. I think it would be good to redirect your article List of Olympic ice hockey venues into mine even though I could include venue location (indoors, outdoors) into my article. Thoughts? H. E. Heyerdahl statue
Do you think it's legal to take of picture of the Halvor Emil Heyerdahl statue at Majorstuen and upload it to Commons? I had a look commons:Freedom of panorama#Norway, and it says "[Freedom of panorama] does not apply when the work is clearly the main motive and the reproduction is exploited commercially". The first one about main motive is a pity, but the last one about commercial exploitation may perhaps be interpreted in a way that we can use it, since WP is for free? :) I also had a look at oslobilder.no, which had quite a few nice photos of the statue by Wilse & Son, once it was at Skøyen. What do you think? --Eisfbnore talk 19:07, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
- What year was the statue made? There is no problem if it is in the public domain. Arsenikk (talk) 21:00, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
- The NBL entry says that it was erected at Skøyen in 1924 (as does Egil Werner Erichsen in the 50th anniversary book for Holmenkollbanen from 1948) by Gustav Lærum, who died in 1938. --Eisfbnore talk 21:13, 2 April 2011 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) "§ 40. Opphavsretten varer i opphavsmannens levetid og 70 år etter utløpet av hans dødsår." [1] The statue was created in 1924 by G. Lærum. If he died in 31 December 1940 or earlier, the statue is in the public domain. But you have to have evidence of this, you cannot simply assume it. The Uruguay Round Agreements Act does not seem to change any of this. On the other hands, I would not automatically assume the statue is "clarly the main motive", as Wilse has himself created a work that stands independent of the work (I would argue that even without the statue, the image would have a certain value, for instance to illustrate the trams. As my professor in intellectual property management one said: "intellectual property law is a fog of legal doubt". But Commons has chosen to be conservative on such issues, and we must always treat any reasonable doubt against hosting images. However, I would at least not treat [2] as having the statue as "clearly the main motive". Hopes this contributes to confuse you even more. Arsenikk (talk) 21:19, 2 April 2011 (UTC)

Stampesletta
Hi! Are you on a scholarship from Lillehammer's mayor or something? You are doing good work for this quite beautiful city. Would you mind adding some stuff from Stampesletta over at Lillehammer IF? If you do so, I will expand on the sportive successes of the club, making it a decent (if not good...) article. Geschichte (talk) 15:10, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
- Haha, I wish people would pay me to write Wikipedia :p Haven't really been much there either, mostly just to change from train to bus and the like. I was actually thinking of getting Venues of the 1994 Winter Olympics to good topic: with one FL, three GAs, three GA noms and one nearly there, I'm over half-way. Sure, I'll add the stuff to Lillehammer IF, if not immediately, then pretty soon. Arsenikk (talk) 16:05, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

GA mentor
Since you have listed as one, I have a couple of questions for and I hope you can help me with those. Since my English isn't sufficient enough for content creation I've decided to help out with GA reviewing. I've done few reviews already and had no problems with those, because there was nothing really wrong with said set of articles articles. But just now glanced over GA nominee Bolton Wanderers F.C. and I believe it is a along way short of being good enough for GA status. There is not only a lot of to do, but I even can't find a single edit of nominator on given article. So should I even bother to review this article before quick-failing it, when nominator haven't put any work in it? I don't know how to react in this situation. Utinsh (talk) 12:32, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- Just noticed User:Doh5678 has another similiar no-edit GA nomination Isner–Mahut match at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships. Utinsh (talk) 12:35, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- The Wanderers article is clearly short of the GA criteria, first and foremost because it is largely unreferenced. You can go along and quick-fail it for that, but please write a paragraph-or-so explanation (nothing fancy), don't just state it is unreferenced and fail it. The tennis match article also seems to be short of the GA criteria, although it is slightly closer. It needs more information about the match itself, particularly the first day, but otherwise it is fairly close, although it needs full referencing. Here some reviewers would fail, others would place on hold. I would presume the nominations have been in good faith, but the nominator may not have fully understood the criteria. I have often found that new nominators have low presumptions regarding citations that is actually what is practices. Consensus at the GAN talk page has been that the criteria mean that everything not completely self-explanatory would need a reference. You might get away by not referencing that Bolton is in England or that the Wimbledon Championships is a tennis tournament, but anything more than that would need a reference. I would perhaps take up the issue directly with the nominator, explaining why you have quick-failed the article. Hit-and-run nominations are not explicitly prohibited, but they are discouraged, and if there are other active, main contributors, it may be considered impolite. Arsenikk (talk) 14:34, 10 April 2011 (UTC)
- Ok. I'll do as you suggest. Thanks for clearing this up for me. If I'll have any more questions, I'll pop up here again, but I would be glad if you could once in a while check my reviews and if you see that I'm not doing something right, please, point that out for me. I've been lurking around wikipedia for quite some time, but, of course, I'm not familiar with every wiki policy already. Utinsh (talk) 15:19, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

Sources
I just want to pick your brains about an article. I've done some work on the Norwegian article about Siri Skare, and I see the sources in use on the English version. To me, it looks like a blog. They are wrong (she completed her training in -84), and incomplete (she started on Orions before moving to Hercules). These points are easily solved using Aftenposten and a book in Norwegian available on Nationalbiblioteket online, nb.no. (page 68 and page 117), which can be corroborated by articles in Aftenposten on 2 October 1984, 6 Februar 1985 (as well as other books not available online).
This could be just nitpicking, but I just feel it should be done right, or not at all. From what I learned flight training isn't completed until receiving the wing, not just completing initial training. But before editing, I am not sure about this version's use of sources in non-English languages. Paaln (talk) 12:57, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- I know very little about the content issues you bring up, but regarding sourcing, what is important is to use the best quality sources available. For most Norwegian topics, it is nearly impossible to write a decent article without using mostly only Norwegian-language sources, unless the topic has had massive coverage in international press (for which I cannot think of a single topic at the top of my head). In one of my recent articles, Vikingskipet, I used a mix of Norwegian and English sources, because it had been the subject of international coverage. In Sognsvann Line, also a GA, I believe there are no non-Norwegian sources, simply because the issue has not been subject to English-language coverage. To summarize: always use the most reliable sources, and ignore what language they are in. Hope this answers your question, Arsenikk (talk) 13:18, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
- Takktakk. Article now duly tweaked. Paaln (talk) 14:08, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi! This entry mentions a "Schøyens Rutebilcentral". I reckon this is the same as Schøyens Bilcentraler? I tried to find something on SBC's website -- but it looks like the name "Schøyens Bilcentraler" has been discontinued altogether, in favor of "Nobina Norge". Compare with Nobina Sverige. At the same time "Concordia Bus" changed its name to "Nobina", it seems. Geschichte (talk) 18:07, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, Schøyens was bought by Concordia Bus or its predecessor some time ago and eventually changed its name to that. Concordia later changed its name to Nobina. And yes, I would presume "Schøyens Rutebilcentral" is just a spelling mistake; I doubt there were two so similarly-named companies. Arsenikk (talk) 18:19, 13 April 2011 (UTC)
- Perhaps Norsk merkantilt leksikon left out the "er"-ending from "Schøyens Rutebilcentral" to abbreviate? They didn't have as much space as we have here. :) --Eisfbnore ðç 18:22, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

About the BOK Center GA Review
Hello, Arsenikk, I have noticed that you started doing the review on the GA nomination for the BOK Center article. Now, you are mainly a user who resides in and is from Norway and primarily deals with Norway-related subjects, but the BOK Center is in the United States, and you probably don't know much about the U.S. state of Oklahoma or the city of Tulsa. In the comments, you have specified the corrections that need to be made which were put in a list made on 24 April. I have made six of the corrections on 30 April, but neither of us have posted any further comments on the review since then. How about we wait till Saturday to do more work on the BOK Center article sothe nomination can be successful? I have already significantly contributed to and had promoted to GA Status the article Constitution Center (Washington, D.C.). Jim856796 (talk) 03:59, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

The above article's referencing system is perhaps not as innovative and ground-breaking as that of Borgund Stave Church, but it certainly revolutionizes the sequence of citation details. Motto of the day: Why not do it the other way round? --Eisfbnore talk 00:21, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

The article Ane Hansdatter Kismul has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Nnt elected executive, fails criteria at WP:POLITICIAN. Research provides no other reliable sources online, in English or in Norwegian.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:46, 31 May 2011 (UTC)

But that isn't at the top of the list right now, as I have a backlog of library books about other railways on my desk :p Feel free to do any improvements to the article, but please add references if you add anything (I can always format them if you're uncertain about that bit). Easy question for you, do buses count as being a part of the automotive industry? If so, Strømmens Værksted and others should be put into the Category:Automotive industry in Norway. Geschichte (talk) 11:36, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hm, well, I would say that a bus is not an automobile; however I would tend to say that bus manufacturers are part of the automotive industry. Some of those companies also made vans and trucks, so inclusion seems right. Arsenikk (talk) 22:38, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Turkish locomotives
Hello. I noticed that you had created some of the TCDD loco articles .. I found this http://www.mobility.siemens.com/en/data/pdf/ts_lm/ref_del_us_72_aktuell.pdf see p.43 and 44 - locomotives "ME 07" and "DE 1000" - I can't find anything else about them - I don't think the name are the TCDD series numbers either. Also they may not be Siemens' locomotives - probably just Siemens' components in them.
Do you recognise them or know anything about them. (or know who would). Thanks. Imgaril (talk) 16:08, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
- It seems to be TCDD DE11000. More than that, I don't really know. I've been to Turkey once and I took some images and wrote some stub article afterwards; I don't really know much about rail transport in Turkey. Hope that answered your question, though. Arsenikk (talk) 16:53, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
- It does look like DE11000 - I think it probably is - Siemens' "ME 07" does seem to match anything else I could find - I think they may be listing locomotives built by KraussMaffei before they bought the train factory, or something. I got an official list of TCDD lcocs and there's nothing else http://www.tcdd.gov.tr/tcdding/yillik/022.pdf
- Thanks for telling me what they are.Imgaril (talk) 00:38, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Inquiry on AfDs
Hi Arsenikk, I'm interestd in the AfDs process in Wikipedia and notice that you once involved in AfDs. I'm not sure whether you find that some discussers are admins while some are not. I'm just wondering whether you care about the adminships of the participants in deletion discussions. Does the referee's adminship affect your attitude towards the result of AfDs? Thanks. Bluesum (talk) 03:18, 11 July 2011 (UTC)
- I've never closed an AfD, so i wouldn't know. But in general, whether people are admins or not is not important at all; what is important is the validity of the arguments. Of course, admins are more experienced and are better versed in the relevant policies, so they may often have the most valid arguments. Arsenikk (talk) 20:32, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

I hope that motives behind deletion were professional and genuine without any ulterior/malafide intentions.
I hope that deletion was not done based on complaint from private individuals or government authorities.
Quite strangely, Indian Government Authorities have initiated disciplinary proceedings and investigation on alleged financial irregularities committed by one of the person mentioned in the article during his previous assignments

FLC of World Heritage in Danger
Hi! Thanks for the review and good suggestions. I am working at improving the list accordingly. Just a quick question to the non-UNESCO sources. Should I add sources on general issues of the World Heritage in Danger list or sources for each of the listed sites? bamse (talk) 13:04, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Question
Hello, sorry to disturb with a question as this is not something wich has to see with the wiki.en. And very sorry about my english too. I'm sysop on a little wiki and faced with an user who ist cutting article's text to put them on another page just to avoid other noticing his dids and to write them as he wants, destroying like that he page history. Re: Name change for Wictor Esbensen
I was wondering if you could help me fix the page for Wictor Esbensen. The page was originally Viktor Esbensen and was changed to Wictor Esbensen erroneously. The correct spelling of his first name is Viktor as can clearly be seen in his birth records which you can see for yourself. There is a link to them in the References. 1930s jazz standards
Hi Arsenikk, and thanks again for your comments at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of 1930s jazz standards/archive1. That discussion was closed as slightly premature, but I would love to discuss some of the points you raised before taking the article to FLC again. I've just opened a peer review for it, but we can discuss the issues separately here or on the talk page if you prefer.

Good article review mentor
Hi, Arsenikk, Can you look over my shoulder as I try out my first good article nomination review? I saw you listed as a potential mentor. I started a review on Clovis Kamdjo.
My first question is have I made a mistake on how to indicate the article is on hold? Or must I wait more than a few minutes for a bot to update it? I clicked "edit" on your review of Prenton Park and cannot find "hold" in the text. Thanks, Strafpeloton2 (talk) 02:50, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
- Sure I can help out. Regarding the on hold, go to Talk:Clovis Kamdjo (the main talk page, not the review subpage) and edit the nomination template banner (it starts with
{{GA nominee
) and look for|status=
and change it to|status=onhold
. The update bot will then update the GAN page the next time it runs (ever 15 minutes I think). Arsenikk (talk) 09:58, 6 October 2011 (UTC)- I got the hold to work. I left some some comments for the review. Please let me know if any are misguided if you get a chance. Strafpeloton2 (talk) 22:51, 6 October 2011 (UTC)
- Looks like you've managed to pick out the article's shortcomings well. My only comment is that I've seen Soccerbase be used on featured lists without protests, so I think it is reliable. Arsenikk (talk) 08:33, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Oslo tram map
Hi, I wonder if it is possible to update File:Oslo Tramway map.svg. The Oslo tramway's updated schedule from October 2011 made line 11 the main line to Kjelsås, while line 12 is now the secondary line that otherwise terminates at Disen. (In short, the green "11" at "Disen" needs to be replaced with a purple "12".) Best wishes, Sjakkalle (Check!) 20:34, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

BA article
Hey Arsenikk, it's been a long time since I've turned up on your talk page, it is good to see you again. I and several other editors have undertaken a great deal of work to transform the British Airways article. While I haven't thought up a creative way to dispurse the financial information; I have converted most (if not all) sections otherwise pointed out into prose. Could you look over it again and output a new (hopefully shorter) list of things to work on now that some have been substancially re-edited? Thanks. Kyteto (talk) 21:48, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
Table list tech issue
There seems to be some problem with table style destinations lists, atleast in a few, the cities are not lining up in alphabetical order, this happens when you list the countries alphabetically, can you help sort it out? 116.71.12.232 (talk) 11:41, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Do you happen to know anything about the subject, as it could benefit from being double-checked? I originally wanted to just redirect it to Hunderfossen to fill up the new category Lillehammer media (you've worked extensively on Lillehammer subjects), but I realized that it is more of a type of cinema, found in several locations, rather than just the name of Hunderfossen's cinema. Geschichte (talk) 13:30, 10 November 2011 (UTC)
- Hm, I've been to the cinema at Hunderfossen, or was it at Bremuseet, although that must have been in the first half of the 1990s. The no.wp article has some technical explanations, although it seems rather archaic today. I've added a few things to the article. Arsenikk (talk) 14:05, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

Kola Peninsula
Hi there! I don't know if you remember, but you were the one to review my GA nomination of the Kola Peninsula article last January. Some of the things you said I didn't quite agree with, but you also pinpointed many other valid issues that needed to be fixed. So, before I make a fool out of myself again and submit another GA nom, would you be so kind and read the article and then let me know if you see anything that absolutely needs to get fixed/added/addressed before re-nominating? I have added quite a bit of new material since the last nom and any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Also, this is not at all urgent. Help with a GA review?
Hello,
I'm a newly registered editor but I have edited as an IP on and off for some years. I've never reviewed an article for GA. I'm thinking of doing Sanzo Nosaka. I think that overall it is an interesting, well written article. But I'm not sure about the references, how they are formatted and whether they are reliable. I've taken some note on minor prose issues. Also, I think the lede needs reinforcement, as it doesn't cover the article, and I found some Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. There is no Personal life section about Nosaka's marriage, possible children etc. I'm not sure if the article may go into too much detail in a few places.
Would you be willing to supervise me if I do a review on this article?
Thanks, MathewTownsend (talk) 18:13, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, I can help out. I cannot see anything blatantly wrong with the article at a quick overview, but regarding close paraphrasing, if you specify where then I can double-check. The article is written in a more informal style than normal for a political biography, but that is not necessarily a problem. A thorough read-through might discover issues, though. Best of luck, Arsenikk (talk) 19:12, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. I haven't checked all the references, but in the lede (which I think needs rewriting anyway as it doesn't summarize the article), is a close paraphrase. The source says: "People outside the party often commented upon Nosaka's gentle demeanour, good manners and well-dressed conservative style, 'just like British gentleman'." The article lede says: "Outside the Party, Nosaka was generally well-liked for his gentle demeanor, good manners, and conservative sense of style, and was described as being "just like a British gentleman". plus quote needs citation.
- Can you give me an example of the article's informal style you refer to? I didn't notice that but I will look for it now. MathewTownsend (talk) 19:23, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- That sentence was one of the informal ones I was thinking of, particularly "...Nosaka was generally well-liked..." is problematic, similarly "He was ... more comfortable in libraries than at public demonstrations". If your going to give a characterization of a person, one has to use the same wording as the source. In general, close paraphrasing is not as much a problem if it is a single sentence as if it with longer sections; you can always argue that a single sentence cannot be copyrighted, only the combination of sentences. One way to bypass this exact issue is to just state it as a quote, which would be permitted. Arsenikk (talk) 20:55, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- ok, I will start my review at Talk:Sanzo Nosaka/GA1 and you can give me feedback or chime in as needed. Thanks! (I'm a little nervous about doing it.) MathewTownsend (talk) 21:01, 10 December 2011 (UTC)

My GA review
- I copied the template for the checklist from another review (a suggestion from the GAN talkpage), so I guess I'll never figure it out! Anyway I have started the review, the editor has responded, and I have responded back at Talk:Sanzo Nosaka/GA1. What do you think? Is is ok? Thanks, MathewTownsend (talk) 14:52, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'll take a look at the review tomorrow. I'm too tired to do reviewing this evening (I find that copy-editing and reviewing requires not being very drowsy). Arsenikk (talk) 21:04, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- Very much appreciated. Thanks! (I find the article very interesting, although I've never heard of the guy and don't know much about Chinese communism.) MathewTownsend (talk) 21:34, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
- One thing I like about GA reviewing is that I end up reading articles about people/places/things that I would otherwise never have read about. - Thanks, I will. I believe it is on its way to becoming a GA. What do you think? One thing I'm not sure about is the references. Do they all need page numbers, etc. Is the format ok? MathewTownsend (talk) 15:08, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- I find the two-way referencing very tedious to use, as you have to fist find the endnote and then look up the end note in a reference list. The most common way is to list books and longer reports in one list and then endnoting page numbers to those in the reference list, while just entering articles and web sites directly in the ref list. See for instance Hamar Olympic Amphitheatre. At the GA level, as long as the article is referenced properly it should be accepted, but I don't see any advantages with the system in Sanzo Noska, it is just not reader friendly. Page numbers are needed for books and long articles, but not for newspaper entries and articles and reports which are just a few pages long. Arsenikk (talk) 11:22, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm finding it very hard to check and I'm becoming confused, not knowing the subject matter. Is is ok that most of the citations are to relatively informal sources? I looked up Sanzo Nosaka on Google and there is very little free material. Mostly news articles about his death, or really complicated discussions on political philosophy that are beyond the scope of this article, IMHO. What do you think? MathewTownsend (talk) 23:12, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- As far as I can see, the only unreliable source is the one by Lucas. Otherwise they are from published books, newspapers or written by academics. Given the scope of the topic, I'd say the author of the WP article has done a good research job, although I would have preferred a slightly different formatting of the refs. Arsenikk (talk) 23:23, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- Great! Thanks for the info. I was having a case of nerves and doubts! But you are supporting my original feeling when I first read the article. Thanks! MathewTownsend (talk) 23:29, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Insurance
Hi! Could you help me with a question about insurance companies.
- Vital Forsikring does not exist as a brand anymore and the article should be updated. I'd chip in with an update myself, but...
- ...I don't understand everything there; why does Vital have roots back ro 1847, and was it "established" in 1847? How did Vital take over Gjensidige's roots through the 2003 merger? It seems more to me like Vital was created in 1990...
- ...when NKP and Hygea merged. I made an article for Hygea, stating that Hygea was founded in 1883[4] and ended in 1990 with the merger.
Geschichte (talk) 17:16, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Also, should there be two different articles for Vesta and Vesta Group? Geschichte (talk) 17:30, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- Also, does Storebrand really trace its roots back to 1767? It merely incorporated a company that did so. According to this, Storebrand itself traces its roots to 1847. Geschichte (talk) 10:55, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
As a rule of thumb, any stub or short article I wrote about a company prior to about mid 2008 and which lacks references, relies entirely on the company's web site. Insurance companies try selling themselves as reliable and sturdy, and it is often advantageous for them to show century-old roots. Therefor the companies will often claim roots as far back as possible. Arguably, Storebrand is the direct successor of the 1767-established Norges Brannkasse. SNL says Storebrand was established in 1991 after the merger with Uni Forsikring. In the end it becomes a definition question of when a company is established and if a merger creates a new company or if it is a continuation of one of them. Legally (at least in Norway) all mergers have one company taking over the other, with the former paying the latter's shareholders in shares. To propose a solution: we avoid blatantly stating what year companies were established, but explain it more in depth in the article. It is also possible to have multiple established in year categories. Arsenikk (talk) 12:00, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
- For Vital, I think it is safe to say that it was established in 1990. The big confusion is concerning Gjensidige NOR, which merged Gjensidige and Sparebanken Nor, just to four years later spin off part of the company to DNB, with DNB and Vital taking over Gjensidige's life insurance division. I'm uncertain if Vesta should be two articles, although they did tend to do a bit of investments unrelated to insurance, such as Bergen Aviation. Arsenikk (talk) 12:22, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
I've made the changes as suggested at Talk:Benjamin G. Humphreys Bridge/GA1. The original author seems to have used the John A Weeks III website for statistics. Hope that's ok. Best wishes, MathewTownsend (talk) 22:51, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- ok, I've removed that. but unfortunately that is the site for total length also. Do you have any suggestions on how to find better sources? Thanks so much for the review. MathewTownsend (talk) 23:52, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Structurae is a good site, but it doesn't have the details for this bridge. Other typical sites are public documents (typically from DOTs and the like) and newspaper articles. Sometimes information can be found in relevant local history books. Arsenikk (talk) 23:55, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the pass! I originally used Structurae, but it didn't add anything new so I removed it. Glad to know its a good site though! MathewTownsend (talk) 00:02, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
- Although highly reliable, the main problem with Structurae is that they provide little detail, and if you're trying to get a structure article to GA levels, you'll be using other references that will mostly cover it. But for instance in Nordhordland Bridge there was one piece of information which was only available there, despite there being written a book on the bridge. For stubs, Structurae is excellent. MSU Interview
Dear Arsenikk,
My name is Jonathan Obar user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community HERE, were it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
- Interviews will last between 15 and 30 minutes.
- Interviews can be conducted over skype (preferred), IRC or email. (You choose the form of communication based upon your comfort level, time, etc.)
- All interviews will be completely anonymous, meaning that you (real name and/or pseudonym) will never be identified in any of our materials, unless you give the interviewer permission to do so.
- All interviews will be completely voluntary. You are under no obligation to say yes to an interview, and can say no and stop or leave the interview at any time.
- The entire interview process is being overseen by MSU's institutional review board (ethics review). This means that all questions have been approved by the university and all students have been trained how to conduct interviews ethically and properly.
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name HERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) 15:38, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
Need help with Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon GA review
Hi. I'm needing some assistance with a GA review of Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon, a video game. The specific problem is that I found an article that wouldn't pass 1a, then copyedited the article so that it would; I am unsure whether I should now be judging the article, since I've worked on it. Advice and possibly a review if needed, please? Thanks very much! Allens (talk) 00:14, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- The amount of copy-editing you have done to the article is typical for a GA review. A review will almost always need a certain amount of copy-editing (it is a contributing motivation for people to nominate). Had you entirely rewritten the prose you might want a second opinion, but with the amount you've done here you are well on the safe side. Two other issues I spot is that all references need accessdates and it would be nice to include a screenshot (one screenshot is always permissible under fair use). Hope this answers you questions, if not, just ask. Arsenikk (talk) 08:16, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- That helps considerably, thanks! I'll check back with you if I have any other questions - video games aren't my area of expertise, and this is only my second GA review... Allens (talk) 11:14, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Confused on how to renominate for GA status
Hello User:Arsenikk, in January 2010 you delisted Portland International Jetport as a Good Article because of various errors included in the article. Since then, I believe the article has been drastically improved and mechanically reworked, and I would love to see it reassessed for quality or renominated for Good Article Status. However, I am confused as to what I am supposed to do next. Perhaps you can help me figure out what can be done? Thanks Bkissin (talk) 17:36, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
- First of all, make sure the article meets the criteria. I'm just looking quickly through the article now, but things that strike me are that not all the information is referenced, and that many of the references are not properly formatted; that there is very little information on the airport's early history (consider, for instance, looking for relevant local history books at a local library) and see WP:RECENTISM; the "Airlines and destinations" need some sort of prose; I would also like to see a "facilities" or similar section. Take a look at Trondheim Airport, Værnes for one possible way to structure an airport article for an airport of a similar size. Once you are convinced the article meets the criteria, simply nominate it as a good article in regular manner, see instructions at WP:GAN. If you have any questions, just ask, I'll be happy to help out. Arsenikk (talk) 19:34, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

2010s in video gaming
Thank you for taking a look at the 2010s in video gaming article. I am in the process of completely re-structuring the decade articles in video game history as they are in dire need of updates, cleaning up, and general fixes. I did start the 2010s video game page and am trying to avoid the crystal ball problem, but given the fact that the decade is just now starting off in terms of video games, I feel as if some speculation is inevitable. I feel that if the speculation is sourced, then it is note-worthy, correct? Otherwise, we wouldn't have any of Ray Kurzweil's predictions of the robot-zombie Apocalypse... =p I'd hate to say that I nominated the article as a "test" because since you are the one that gave it a thumbs down, that means I write bad articles, right? Perhaps it was just my vanity in thinking that I could write a masterpiece article by myself. Anyway, I am currently in the process of reworking the 1980s in video gaming article. I hope by the time I nominate that one, the weasel word issue is solved. (Tigerghost (talk) 16:25, 12 March 2012 (UTC))
- Writing by-decade articles about video games it a great idea, but starting with the 2010s is the wrong end. Writing about a period not finished is just never going to be stable enough for GA. Writing close predictions about the future is sometimes great, but they need to be clearly stated as such. One way is to make a "future" section. But as one wise man once said: "predicting is difficult, particularly about the future". Writing articles on Wikipedia is an art and it takes some time to learn the tricks of the trade. I am sure you can bring the other decade articles up to GA; there is nothing wrong with the content as it is now, but there has to be more: bring in more detail about each company, each development, new technology, each console, perhaps writing about major titles and those with an impact, rather than just making a list. I'd say the 1990s in video gaming is close to what I would expect in scope. Best wishes on your journey, Arsenikk (talk) 21:55, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Dead link in article 'Skarnes Station'
Thank you for your contributions to the article 'Skarnes Station'. Sadly, a link that you added has died. The article needs your help to repair link rot.
This link has died after you added it in May 2008:
- http://www.jernbaneverket.no/jernbanenettet/stasjonssok/stasjonsoversikt/article.jhtml?articleID=1590229 — I tried to load this link on 11 March, 13 March, 15 March, 30 March and today but it never worked.
I've marked this link with {{Dead link}}, but I'm just a bot, so I don't really know how to fix the problem. Could you please take a look? Thanks!

Valhall Stadion
Hi there. If hope you have heard this before, but the work you have done with Norwegian football-stadiums are terrific, with half of the current Tippeliga-stadiums being GA thanks to you! I looked through all the stadiums in the Template:Norwegian Premier League venues, and I have two question. First, Valhall Stadion, is that supposed to be Vallhall Arena? And second, but less important - you expanded Aspmyra Stadion from a stub to a perfect complete article in December 2011, is that part of you taking it up to GA, you are just waiting to finish the job ? :P Cheers, Mentoz86 (talk) 22:28, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the compliments. Valhall Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Tromsø, and completely different from Vallhall Arena (see for instance here). Yes, I was planning to take both Aspmyra and Briskeby to GA, it just ended at the back of my mind as I got distracted first by railways and then by Svalbard. Both need a copy-edit first though. Arsenikk (talk) 13:53, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ah okei, never heard of that one before. It's only venues from 1963 and onwards listed it that template right? And in the Template:Norwegian Premier League teamlist it's teams from 1963 and onwards? Good to know if I ever find a mistake (don't think I will though) Mentoz86 (talk) 07:58, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, from 1963 onwards. I've been working offline with a proper list, but I never got around to saving it. Needs some more references (for the venues from 2000 onwards), but I can post it and work more with it later. Arsenikk (talk) 08:14, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've posted my draft to List of Norwegian Premier League venues, although it is not really complete. Arsenikk (talk) 09:50, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- Wow - that's a nice list. Will see if I can find some sources for the new venues. Mentoz86 (talk) 16:07, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 15
Hi. When you recently edited Svalbard Satellite Station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scheduling (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Very close to passing, you'll be unsurprised to here. Given the above thread, I'm happy to say I don't see an issue with the article's use of Norwegian-language sources. On 23 April 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Svalbard Satellite Station, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that in 2007 and 2008, two American satellites were hacked using commands sent via the Svalbard Satellite Station? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Svalbard Satellite Station. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Thanks for the GA pass, and yes, I do plan to bring Revolution Software/Broken Sword/Virtual Theatre to a GA-topic. And, since You are a more experienced editor, what should I include in the Virtual Theatre GA-topic, only the game's built in it, or also the programmer, and the concept-drawers (only one has a Wiki-page). I think it should only be the games, but if You think differently, please tell me. :) All the Best, --Khanassassin ☪ 16:45, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Nice to see care being given to the titles of my childhood. There may be other opinions which come in a nomination, but from what I can see at WP:GT and WP:FT, the Broken Sword and Virtual Theatre topics would definitively only consist of the games. A Revolution Software topic might consist of people (per Wikipedia:Featured topics/Thatgamecompany), although the Thatgamecompany people might have been more important than at Revolution. Arsenikk (talk) 21:13, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. Yes, I saw thatgamecompany's GA-topic, and because it consisted of people, I wondered if the series/engine needed them too, so I came to you. Nice to see someone who has played Revolution's titles, since they ar emy favourite developer (Broken Sword's my favourite game ever, and I love "Steel Sky". I actually seriously started playing adventures/Revolution games a few years ago, so they're not really "games of my childhood," but everytime I play them, I still get that "NOSTALGIA" feeling. :) All the Best, --Khanassassin ☪ 08:34, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Should this be "Mågeli Line"? Does the guideline apply to such roads outside of the rail network? Geschichte (talk) 09:03, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
- The main rationale for the "Foo Line" naming is that the National Rail Administration uses Foo Line in its English documents and that "line" is the most accurate translation of "bane". I have extended the use to all railway lines in Norway if nothing else for the sake of consistency. Personally would have preferred Mågeli Line. Arsenikk (talk) 09:11, 8 May 2012 (UTC)
GA review of Ny-Ålesund Airport, Hamnerabben
Hi. I have looked at this article several times, wondering if I could review it, but could not work out how to get at the sources. It appears I need an IP address in Norway to allow me to see the text, so I am afraid I will have to decline. I hope it gets reviewed soon. Bob1960evens (talk) 17:48, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Arsenikk, Thanks for your welcome. I spotted this at GAN and was intending to have a look at it quite soon. It does not like my IP address either. I know I've been to Ålesund, but not the airport and not by plane, so mostly likely by the Hurtigrutan, at least 22 years ago. Pyrotec (talk) 14:44, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
- Ny-Ålesund is on Svalbard, nowhere near Ålesund :P The National Library has this superior service where they make books from the 1990s browsable on the Internet, but only from Norwegian IP-addresses. Depending on how desperate you are, consider using a proxy to "borrow" a Norwegian IP address (I know it can be done, I've never done it and I have no idea how easy it is to do). Arsenikk (talk) 14:49, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
- Woops, I did not spot that, i.e two Ålesund's. I did a couple of part-time Masters degrees in England between 2000 & 2008 and I had university proxy accounts. When I was using the proxy account at home my IP address appeared to be me@some-university.ac.uk rather than me@home.co.uk. Having a proxy account on a Norwegian university would solve the problem, but its not something I can do legally. Pyrotec (talk) 22:19, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Hamarkameratene
Hi there. I recently moved Hamarkameratene to HamKam, as I felt that was an uncontroversial page-move per WP:COMMONNAME (though Ham-Kam might be more apropiate), but I did not move History of Hamarkameratene or adjust the links on Template:Hamarkameratene as I wanted to hear your opinion on this first. Should the history-page be moved according to the club-article name? Mentoz86 (talk) 09:51, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
In your 19 March 2012 edit to the English version of the Lonyearbyen article, you wrote "The congregational hall is 126 km2 (49 sq mi) while the sitting room is 112 km2 (43 sq mi)." Surely it cannot be 126 square kilometers. Did you perhaps mean 126 square meters?
Request for help concerning energy...
Hi,
I noticed you listed yourself as a participant of the Energy WikiProject.
There are 2 new outlines in this area that attempt to consolidate Wikipedia's coverage of their respective subjects, gathering and organizing the articles about them into one place and including descriptions for convenience. The purposes of these outlines are to make it easier for readers to survey or review a whole subject, and to choose from Wikipedia's many articles about it.
The new energy outlines are:
Please take a look at them, and....
- if you spot missing topics, add them in.
- if you can, improve the descriptions.
- add missing descriptions.
- show parent-offspring relationships (with indents).
- fix errors.
For more information about the format and functions of outlines, see Wikipedia:Outlines.
Building outlines of existing material (such as Wikipedia) is called "reverse outlining". Reverse outlines are useful as a revision tool, for identifying gaps in coverage and for spotting poor structuring.
Revising a work with multiple articles (such as Wikipedia) is a little different than revising a paper. But the general principles are the same...
As you develop these outlines, you may notice things about the articles they organize. Like what topics are not adequately covered, better ways to structure and present the material, awkward titles, articles that need splitting, article sections lacking {{Main}} links, etc.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me on my talk page or at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Outlines.
Thank you.
Sincerely, The Transhumanist 00:45, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
P.S.: see also Outline of energy
Sudbury GA review
I have a question about cityscape section that you recommended. I don't think this section suits the place in question. It's not really a traditional urban core with suburbs, but an amalgamation of smaller population centers around 2 loosely connected larger ones. So the section of attractions is more relevant (and found in other FA city articles). Would it be better to change the "communities" section into "cityscape" and mention the downtown, retail, communities, etc? I think that may be a good compromise. Mattximus (talk) 14:19, 2 June 2012 (UTC)
Hello! I saw this article about my city. It was full of wrong information, violating copyright laws by directly copying data from websites and providing information that was not useful. So, I have written it from scratch providing as much relevant information as I can along with citations. Now, the article is complete according to me and I have nominated it for good article and I want you to review it. Please let me know if there is anything missing or anything relevant or anything not following Wikipedia standards so that I can correct it. And if everything is correct, then please review it and approve its nomination. Thanks. Vishal14K Vishal14K 18:43, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi Arsenikk, just wondered if you were going to follow up and complete the other issues raised at the above FLRC? Cheers! The Rambling Man (talk) 17:10, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
I notice you wrote the history section of the above article. Is there any way you could supply a reference for the hill records you mentioned? Gtwfan52 (talk) 23:20, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- I probably just translate the information form the Norwegian and German articles, and back then I wasn't as concerned about adding unreferenced material as I am today. I'm sorry I couldn't help, but I'm glad you're taking an interest in the unique part of history. Arsenikk (talk) 05:37, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
DYK for Norefjell Ski Resort
On 25 June 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Norefjell Ski Resort, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Norwegian IOC member Gerhard Heiberg recommended Oslo to bid with Hafjell and Kvitfjell as Alpine Skiing venues instead of Norefjell, to reduce their chances to host the 2018 Winter Olympics? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Norefjell Ski Resort. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)
Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:
- Link to Survey (should take between 5-10 minutes): http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/N8FQ6MM
It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.
At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).
Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.
If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 17:07, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

your GAN Øvre Pasvik National Park
Hi,
I'll be reviewing your nomination at Talk:Øvre Pasvik National Park/GA1. Looks good! I'll probably have only a few comments.
Best wishes, MathewTownsend (talk) 19:47, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
- I've left some comments for you to review and placed the article on hold . Most of my comments have to do with wording. The article is fundamentally sound and will have no trouble passing the GA criteria. Best, MathewTownsend (talk) 22:26, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- my only problem is in this sentence: "Eventually seven power stations were built which regulated the entire fall height in the river." I don't know what "regulated entire fall height in the river" means. Can you clarify?
- will probably pass it anyway, trusting you will fix! Best wishes, MathewTownsend (talk) 16:36, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- Passed it (please fix above). Very nice article. Congratulations! MathewTownsend (talk) 16:57, 31 August 2012 (UTC)

Can I beg a favor from you over on no.?
I have apparently caused a new editor to get bitten over there and I'm not linguistically competent to help him. User:GrRdPv created BNWAS here, in what I recognized as Norwegian when it got reported at Pages Needing Translation, so I translated it, wikified it, gave it a couple of refs, moved it to the full title Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System, welcomed the editor and added the bilingual template asking them to create Norwegian-language articles on no. not on en. A couple of days later they did just that at no:Brovaktsalarm. Someone eventually figured out which meaning of bro was involved and edited the lede paragraph accordingly, but they also nominated it for deletion. I can't be of any use in that deletion discussion for linguistic reasons - and I also haven't searched for sources in Norwegian, although they presumably exist, it's an international maritime requirement and the editor mentioned a specifically Norwegian ancillary requirement in the article - and the poor new editor hasn't even been welcomed over there. Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help offset this; I feel as if I dumped them in it over there. Yngvadottir (talk) 17:09, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've left my concerns and vote at the AfD. An unfortunate incident which definitively doesn't help keep new editors around. Arsenikk (talk) 18:10, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)
Hello, you are receiving this message because you are currently a participant of WikiProject Good articles. Since the creation of the WikiProject, over 200 user's have joined to help review good article nominations and contribute to other sections of the WikiProject. Over the years, several of these users have stopped reviewing articles and/or have become inactive with the project but are still listed as participates. In order to improve communications with other participants and get newsletters sent out faster (newsletters will begin to be sent out monthly starting in October) all participants that are no longer active with the WikiProject will be removed from the participants list.
If you are still interested in being a participant for this WikiProject, please sign your user name here and please help review some articles so we can reduce the size of the backlog. If you are no longer interested, you do not need to sign your name anywhere and your name will be removed from the participants list after the deadline. Remember that even if you are not interested at this time, you can always re-add your name to the list whenever you want. The deadline to sign your name on the page above will be November 1, 2012. Update for: WikiProject Good articles (Participant Clean-Up)
Sorry for having to send out a second message but a user has brought to my attention that a point mentioned in the first message should be clarified. BNA GA Review
Hey, thanks for taking the time to do a review for Nashville International Airport! I love the fact that you made such detailed notes, pointing out exactly what issues it still had. I was amazed I didn't catch half of those...it's so easy to start overlooking things when you spend a lot of time on an article. I went through and fixed most of the problems noted, and made my own notes in response to a few. Mind taking a second look at it and telling me what you think? Request for advice
Can you tell me where I can find out about the rules for merge proposals? How do I make them? When should the discussion end? And so on. Is there a document somewhere which explains Wikipedia policy on this? MartinCollin (talk) 07:27, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- There is some information at Wikipedia:FAQ/Categorization. Personally I use Twinkle to operate by XfD requests, which is fully automated. As for nomination of Magerøya, it will open for about five days and then an administrator will close the discussion and determine consensus. If there is consensus to move (which there is at the moment), a bot will move all the articles and then an administrator will delete the current [by then empty] category. Neither of us need to take any more action unless other editors start arguing against our rationales. Arsenikk (talk) 15:44, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
