Edit summary
Thanks for your contributions to Javee Mocon. Please avoid typing in all-caps in your edit summaries, it comes off as "shouting" per the internet etiquette (netiquette) guide. Thanks! :) ChavezPH (talk) 05:59, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
NCAA Juniors' template
Hi, I appreciate your contributions in the NCAA Ph/Filipino basketball player pages, please don't nominate the HS templates for deletion, such as the ones in the NCAA Season 92 volleyball tournaments page, as they are used as records for the season's page. Thank you. -Linsanity (talk) 23:12, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Linsanity: "please don't nominate". I have nominated it already. Those wouldn't be deleted if the decision is to keep the templates however. Babymissfortune 15:17, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Babymissfortune: Hello. I know, what I meant was please don't nominate other templates. Also, do you happen to have a back-up of the deleted juniors' standings template in the NCAA Season 92 volleyball tournaments page? I made those templates so it wouldn't be hard-coded like the ones in the UAAP page. -Linsanity (talk) 23:12, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Linsanity: I nominate those templates because HS tournaments are usually omitted here because they are non-notable. That is why I nominated the juniors champ. templates. Also, there is no need to create a template if the table is minor and can be shown on the article itself. Babymissfortune 15:30, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Babymissfortune: This is noted, thanks. The HS tourneys in the UAAP pages seem to be fine though. I only created those templates so as to reduce the characters used in the volleyball page, like what we usually do in basketball pages. Could you please help me retrieve the data that was deleted in the NCAA 92 juniors volleyball tournament? Thanks. -Linsanity (talk)
- @Linsanity: You could request here here then re-nonimate it for deletion once you've retrieved it. Babymissfortune 15:46, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Babymissfortune: Thanks and good night. -Linsanity (talk)

Thank you so much
I seem like you won't accept any apology anymore, so I would like to validate your sockpuppet claim and before I am blocked, I only wish to thank you for noticing and would just like to say, I only wish to produce edits for the benefit of Filipino basketball articles on Wikipedia and would not want to proceed with any harm towards you for creating this claim, as it is legitimate. As I stated when I opened this statement, I would like to ask for your apology and to respond to me directly. I don't ask for anyone to lift this ban or settle this off as only a warning, but to simply ask for your forgiveness and wish you to work together with users and not against for the benefit and future of the Filipino basketball article database here on the English Wikipedia. Thank you very much and I gladly wish for your response. ChavezPH | Luis Licas M C 15:49, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- @ChavezPH: The correct thing you should have done is you should've take time off wiki, then make a request to be unblocked. Creating a new account while your original account is blocked will worsen your situation because that would be considered as block evasion, which would lead you to further being blocked. Also, don't be ballistic next time much like you did on the "Babymissgago" account. Babymissfortune 15:57, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Babymissfortune: I commend you for staying sane throughout all this, and since I will inevitably be blocked soon, you will finally have your needed closure. I deeply apologize for the mess during bmg, and I hope to keep in good terms with you if we may cross paths sometime soon in the near, distant future. Edit warring at Kobe Paras
Your recent editing history at Kobe Paras shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. X4n6 (talk) 06:36, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- @X4n6: Not even close to WP:3RR. Don't be overly sensitive. Other editors also know what they're doing. Trust them sometimes. Babymissfortune 06:43, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- Please read the warning carefully. I also recommend that you review edit-warring policy, not just 3RR. Besides, if you want good faith, you need to be prepared to give it. So you needn't act immune to criticism. I simply need to know where that template came from. Did you create it? Especially for 4th place? Seriously, who cares about 4th place? And where are the templates for 1st through 3rd place? X4n6 (talk) 07:07, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- @X4n6: Where's the edit warring there? I think that's just reverting because I know what I'm doing. About the template, that has been the practice before. There is a template created wherein the team finished 23rd. Seriously, who cares about 23rd place? But of course you'll say, "That's the World Cup, man. Jones Cup is nowhere being a notable", so yeah. If you want, file them for deletion. Babymissfortune 07:25, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- So you think reverting is not edit warring? Then you really don't know what you're doing. I strongly recommend that you read WP:EDITWAR. As for the template, you're correct. Deletion may well be the solution. X4n6 (talk) 07:38, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
- @X4n6: That means you were also warring as well, because you reverted too, if that is your point. There's no problem actually because I provided the source but still reverted for the second time. I have put the info in prose with refs and this might be the closure needed for this. Babymissfortune 07:51, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Pencak silat at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games
Hello Babymissfortune,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pencak silat at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games for deletion because the article appears to be about something that you or someone you know personally invented, coined, or discovered, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important—that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Babymissfortune, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Hi. Thankyou for your participation in the challenge series or/and contests. In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on women during this month for your region or wherever please sign up in the participants section. The articles done may also count towards the ongoing challenge. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Help would also be appreciated in drawing up the lists of missing articles. If you think of any missing articles please add them to the sub lists by continent at Missing articles. Thankyou, and if taking part, good luck!♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:32, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

Changing team standings in All-time Philippine Basketball Association team standings
I change the team standings in All-time Philippine Basketball Association team standings because you put unaccurate number of wins and losses of teams such as San Miguel Beermen, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, Meralco Bolts and GlobalPort Batang Pier in the end of the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup. My source is based on 2015 PBA Hardcourt book then I added the Win-Loss record of every team in 2015–16 PBA season and 2016–17 PBA season and what I edit is accurate. New Page Reviewing
Hello, Babymissfortune.
I've seen you editing recently and you seem knowledgeable about Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. |
I notice that you have the "administrator someday" userbox. Reviewing new pages is one of the best ways to develop experience needed to successfully wield the mop. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 09:36, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Insertcleverphrasehere: Thanks for this invitation! Actually, I had been considering to be a reviewer during the time I was "patrolling" new pages but I was probably afraid to make a request so it didn't push through. But because of your invitation, I feel I should be patrolling new pages again.
- However, you're not an administrator to grant someone that right. At first, I thought you're going to grant me but I realize this is a request for me to be a reviewer. As of now, I don't have any plans to make a request but if ever an admin grant me that right, I would be really grateful. Babymissfortune 12:46, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
- Even If I were an admin, I would still request that you apply at PERM. Because of how PERM is set up it makes it much easier for admins to give the user-right over there. I know that TonyBallioni always requests that users apply at PERM even when they have already messaged him on his talk page about it. I'd review the tutorial before applying though, as there is a ton of great info there (as well as some fantastic tools and user scripts). — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 18:55, 27 November 2017 (UTC)
Full International Football Match
You accuse me of being close minded yet as a matter of fact it's you that's close minded. You're the typical person that just goes around thinking that just because a match is recognized by FIFA it's automatically a full international. Like I said, a match being recognized or not by FIFA as an 'A' match doesn't mean it is or isn't an 'A' match. I'll leave it at that. You can go figure! FilFootyGuy (talk) 14:34, 2 December 2017 (UTC)
- @FilFootyGuy: Read this article. A part says "Phil Younghusband scored the first goal of the match in the 35th minute. James Younghusband provided the assist to his younger brother, who sent it to the bottom corner to "score his 48th international goal for the Philippines." This is the PFF treating the goal as a full international goal. Stop now. Babymissfortune 14:47, 2 December 2017 (UTC)
- It still doesn't make it the full national team now does it?! The PFF also doesn't really keep stats! They don't really differentiate what the full national team is and what isn't. The fact that they seem to consider these matches as 'A' matches just show how clueless they are. Having said that, you're just as clueless! But you're completely free to be that way. That's all on you! Just don't make it seem like you're right or you're more knowledgeable even when you're already being told otherwise! FilFootyGuy (talk) 05:57, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
- One of the articles cited in 2017 CTFA International Tournament states: "the games became official "A" senior matches, with FIFA ranking points implications" quoting PFF General Secretary Ed Gastanes. If not for that, the Younghusbands wouldn't have been there. Jack N. Stock (talk) 16:57, 2 December 2017 (UTC)
- Just because two 'A' team regulars are in the squad doesn't make it the full national team and therefore full international matches. You're another one them that believe that everything FIFA is automatically 'official'. FilFootyGuy (talk) 05:57, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
- As I said elsewhere, you need to find better sources than your own opinion. In this case, it needs to be a reliable source that is at a higher level than both PFF and FIFA. Jack N. Stock (talk) 06:08, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
- Just because two 'A' team regulars are in the squad doesn't make it the full national team and therefore full international matches. You're another one them that believe that everything FIFA is automatically 'official'. FilFootyGuy (talk) 05:57, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
ArbCom 2017 election voter message
Hello, Babymissfortune. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted
Hello Babymissfortune. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group, allowing you to review new pages and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or in some cases, tag them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is a vital function for policing the quality of the encylopedia, if you have not already done so, you must read the new tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the various deletion criteria. If you need more help or wish to discuss the process, please join or start a thread at page reviewer talk.
- URGENT: Please consider helping get the huge backlog down to a manageable number of pages as soon as possible.
- Be nice to new users - they are often not aware of doing anything wrong.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted - be formal and polite in your approach to them too, even if they are not.
- Don't review a page if you are not sure what to do. Just leave it for another reviewer.
- Remember that quality is quintessential to good patrolling. Take your time to patrol each article, there is no rush. Use the message feature and offer basic advice.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In case of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, the right can be revoked at any time by an administrator. TonyBallioni (talk) 19:39, 4 December 2017 (UTC)

AfD NAC - Transformation of culture
Hi Babymissfortune, Apologies for the interruption. I am a little bemused by this close.[1] Given that each of the respondents' !votes was explicitly in favour of merge or redirect, how was it determined that there was no consensus? Recent changes
- URLs that link to sections on Wikimedia wikis with non-Latin scripts have looked like this:
https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Википедия#.D0.98.D1.81.D1.82.D0.BE.D1.80.D0.B8.D1.8F
instead ofhttps://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Википедия#История
. This has now been fixed on all wikis. Old links will still work. [2] - A new tag marks edits where a redirect was created or removed. This still works when the editor writes something else in the edit summary. You can see the tags for example in the recent changes feed, article history, user contributions or on your watchlist. [3]
- If you use Chrome on Android, you can now use the print to PDF button to create a PDF of an article. [4]
- Filter by number of edits or filter by time range have been grouped on a same menu on the recent changes page if you use the new filters. The "View new changes since $1" link is now more prominent. [5]
- Some of the web fonts that were provided by the Universal Language Selector extension are being removed. This is to reduce the load time on pages. The web fonts were added many years ago to help users read text in scripts which did not have fonts or had broken fonts. This is not the case any more. You can check the status page for a list of all web fonts and whether they are currently being used and especially for special requirements. [6]
Changes later this week

New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 12713 pages. Please consider reviewing even just a few pages each day! If everyone helps out, it will really put a dent in the backlog.
- Currently the backlog stretches back to March and some pages in the backlog have passed the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing some of them!
Outreach and Invitations:
- If you know other editors with a good understanding of Wikipedia policy, invite them to join NPP by dropping the invitation template on their talk page with:
{{subst:NPR invite}}
. Adding more qualified reviewers will help with keeping the backlog manageable.
New Year New Page Review Drive
- A backlog drive is planned for the start of the year, beginning on January 1st and running until the end of the month. Unique prizes will be given in tiers for both the total number of reviews made, as well as the longest 'streak' maintained.
- Note: quality reviewing is extremely important, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity.
General project update:
- ACTRIAL has resulted in a significant increase in the quality of new submissions, with noticeably fewer CSD, PROD, and BLPPROD candidates in the new page feed. However, the majority of the backlog still dates back to before ACTRIAL started, so consider reviewing articles from the middle or back of the backlog.
- The NPP Browser can help you quickly find articles with topics that you prefer to review from within the backlog.
- To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.

Bibliographies?
Hi there,
Thanks for your deletion sorting work. I noticed you added a few discussions to the Bibliographies category, but none of them look like bibliographies. Rather, they look to be books? Misclick? (We'd typically have something like Bibliography of the Troubles or Richard Brautigan bibliography in there). — Rhododendrites talk \\ 00:16, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Rhododendrites: Oh yes! It could be a misclick (maybe fatigue?). Should I revert it or let it be? Thanks for noticing! Merry Christmas! Babymissfortune 01:06, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- Just did so. I could've sworn there was a category for books, but apparently not. Only "literature" which really only makes sense for one of these three. Started a section here before creating it. Seems useful. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 17:00, 17 December 2017 (UTC)

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information. For more information about the columns and categories, please consult the documentation and please get in touch on SuggestBot's talk page with any questions you might have.

Gråen
Thanks! The reason I created this article was a red link, and as I know what it's about. (And I hate red links) Would an infobox be an improvement ? There is naturally more to be said about this island. But most important for now, and as I see it, a photo or two. As I live nearby , I will take some shots. But currently the weather is gray, gray and windy and gray + sunrise at 8:15 and sunset before 4pm... But thanks anyways ! Boeing720 (talk) 17:59, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Boeing720: By the looks of it, some editors already improved the page. So the only improvement that I can see is expanding the page, if possible. Also, could you create a plausible redirect? Because if I input "Graen", it redirects to Grän and with that, it seems impossible for readers to go to the page because they need to type the actual spelling. Could Graen (island) be a feasible one? Merry Christmas! Babymissfortune 10:23, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for your inputs. Never heard about "Grän". I must however admit that the technical sides of Wikipedia isn't .. how to put it .. "not really my favorite cup of tea", if you see what i mean ? But nevertheless, I think I have managed to redirect "Gråen" to Graaen, as "Graen" was preoccupied. This is actually not linguistically wrong either, as "AA/Aa/aa" earlier corresponded to the "Å/å" -letter earlier. But naturally Graen (island) is a splendid idea. As making redirects was far easier to do than I expected, I have now added that as well. There's nothing wrong in having two redirects, is there ?
Off-topic, but related - and just if you find this to be of some interest. In Scandinavian languages "Å/å or AA/Aa/aa" sounds like "o" in "port", "sort" or "portal"; the local pronunciation of "Gråen" is "gRon", with "R" as a "French R" or Guttural R, and the "o" pronounced as explained. The following "e" is either pronounced very weakly or not at all.- I wish you a very Merry Christmas as well! Boeing720 (talk) 15:38, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
"Carbon (disambiguation)" addition okay?
Per my notices, you have reviewed my addition of "Carbon", shorthand for radiative forcings which increase global warming, such as greenhouse gases"
to Carbon (disambiguation). Since it unchanged and the notices show past tense, I'll assume it is good. Do I removed the Expert needed Template myself? Thank you. X1\ (talk) 21:09, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
- @X1\: Personally, I cannot judge whether or not you could remove the template. But since you added the template, you might remove it yourself. I am not that sure however. Merry Christmas! Babymissfortune 05:28, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- Merry Christmas! to you too. What about adding carbon cycle, to pull-in the word carbon more? X1\ (talk) 23:29, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- That would be a good addition X1\. You can add to the disambiguation page any article that has a word "carbon" on it. Happy holidays! Babymissfortune 10:24, 19 December 2017 (UTC)

Tech News
- Because of the holidays the next issue of Tech News will be sent out on 8 January 2018.
Problems
- When you import a page from another wiki the usernames of the users who edited the article on the wiki you imported it from are shown in the article history. This should link to the users on the original wiki. A script to fix this caused problems for Wikidata and German Wikipedia. It also created a large number of SUL accounts on wikis where editors had never edited. [7]
- Some bot owners got email about their bots logging in from a new computer. If this is from one or a couple of wikis, you can turn these messages off in your preferences on those wikis until the problem has been solved. If not, you can report more about the problem in Phabricator.
Changes later this week
- There is no new MediaWiki version this week. There will be no new MediaWiki version next week either.
Meetings
- You can join the next meeting with the Editing team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs you think are the most important. The meeting will be on 19 December at 19:30 (UTC). See how to join.
Future changes
- Files on Commons will have structured metadata in the future. The developers are now looking for examples of different kinds of metadata to make sure they are aware of them when they build prototypes for structured data on Commons. You can read more and help by giving examples of interesting media files.
- The Structured Commons team are making sure Commons work with structured data. If you regularly contribute to Commons and Wikidata you can answer a survey that helps the team prioritise the tools that are important for the Commons and Wikidata communities. The survey ends on 22 December. You can read more on Commons. You can also help the team decide on better names for "captions" and "descriptions". This ends on 3 January 2018.
- The 2017 Community Wishlist Survey has now ended. You can see the results. They decide what the Community Tech team will work on next year.

AFDs
I appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to help out at AFD, but you just majorly broke the AFD logs, and your past actions with closing discussions is also problematic. I see no issue with you voting in or otherwise participating in AFDs, but I think it might be best to slow down and make sure you know what you're doing as far as the administration side of things goes. Primefac (talk) 16:04, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
- The next time you see an AfD that does not have a REMOVE THIS TEMPLATE WHEN CLOSING THIS AfD template on it, the way to fix the categorisation issue is to re-add the template, not to manually add the categories that template adds. Iffy★Chat -- 16:27, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
- Enterprisey's Delsort script helps avoid these issues. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk • contribs) 00:05, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
@Iffy: I think this edit is the one you are talking about. That was the first time I manually added the categories (instead of adding the template) and I didn't know that that edit would lead to the bot "being broken". That edit is obviously done in good faith and I didn't want to break the logs and I am sorry to any disturbance my edit has done. @Primefac: I haven't closed/relisted any AFD since I was warned. I have only been delsorting since then and I really think I haven't done anything wrong intentionally. Is it okay to treat this message as a reminder and not as a warning? I mean, could I still help in sorting AFDs? Thanks! Happy holidays! Babymissfortune 08:33, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, just please be careful in the future. Primefac (talk) 12:59, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

I did provide reliable sources for that article. Romanov loyalist (talk) 02:37, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
- @Romanov loyalist: Did I say it was unreliable? I placed a tag that says "the page need additional sources" so if you can provide them then it is better. Happy holidays! Babymissfortune 02:40, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
- The tag says please help by adding reliable sources, as if implying the ones that are there are unreliable. But thanks for clearing that up. Romanov loyalist (talk) 02:43, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

Listing AfDs on WikiProject Canada Deletion talks
Hi there - I see you've applied AfD tags to a number of articles recently, and that you've been dutifully adding the new AfD discussions to Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Canada. When you do, please be careful to not list them under "Canada proposed deletions". The new AfDs are to be listed just above that heading. I've moved the AfD listings to the correct section (including Koby Inc, which was posted last night). If you have any questions about this, please let me know. Happy New Year! PKT(alk) 13:33, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
- @PKT: I personally didn't add them on the "Prodded" section. I think it is the tool I have been using to delsort that does that. Could be some bug or error. Happy holidays! Babymissfortune 13:50, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

New Years new page backlog drive
Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!
We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!
The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.
Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
- The total number of reviews completed for the month.
- The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.
If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. — TonyBallioni (talk) 20:24, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
