To respect your request, I have made some changes, but, since some portions of this film badly clash with my personal belief and ideology, I don't think I'll feel comfortable to edit in this article. The article should be named Chatrak (film), per film poster and film certificate. In Telegraph there are some good content on it! --Tito Dutta ✉ 03:18, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
FAC
Hi Dwaipayan, Sorry, I somehow did not notice your post on my talk page, buried as it quickly became by other posts. Glad to hear the article is at FAC. Will take a look at it and provide feedback. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 12:31, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi there, I did take a look at the article. There are two issues with it. Its scope is not clearly delineated, and it is too short for an FA.
- I feel that the "Independence day" article should mainly be about the day, about the history of the day (i.e. how the day came to be picked), about how the day is celebrated in different parts of the country, and about customs around those celebrations that have taken root during the last 60 years, not about the history of the independence movement. Please see Independence Day (United States). The "background" section there is chiefly about how July 4 came to be picked for the declaration.
- The article is too short for an FA. It needs to be developed more. That will take time. In any case, if the goal was for it to become an FA by August 15, that is unlikely to happen, as the FAC process for successful FAs is usually long drawn out. If you'd like I can say these things on the FAC page itself, but I thought I'd leave my two cents here first. Regards, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 11:14, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
Requested move
I have been preparing a "requested move". (ya, it sounds funny, but, sometimes I need lots of preparation before requesting a move.) I have not posted it still, please give me initial comments
- Requested move Pather Panchali → Pather Panchali (film)
This is one of the most sensitive requested move I have ever done (read disclaimer below). And I think some people will discard the request at once. But, still I request to read my rationales below at least:
- Both the novel and the film have same title. The novel was published in 1929 and the film released in 1955.
- There have been lots of debates over the question– which is more valuable as an art work– the film or the novel! Bangladeshi author and scholar Humayun Azad told–[α]
“ | if Satyajit Ray (film director) is regarded as pride of India Bharat Ratna, then Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay (novelist) is definitely pride of world, pride of civilisation, but unfortunately no one knows superior Bibhutibhushan, but everyone knows inferior Ray. In comparison to the standard of the novel, the film is miserable.... | ” |
Since this is a sensitive comment, I'll quote the original Bengali lines too–
I can present few more comments where scholars and critics have felt the novel is greater than the film.
- Suggestion: The only thing I want to highlight– both the novel and the film are considered as classics, so, I suggest to make this title Pather Panchali a disambiguation page with link to 1) Pather Panchali (film) 2) Pather Panchali (novel).
Disclaimer: I can understand this may start a controversy which I'll try my best to avoid. Personally I do not have any opinion about this comment of Azad or any negative comment made on Ray's film.
In search of perfection,
--Tito Dutta ✉ 18:58, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

Did you know–
- Benefits
- Those files are being saved in your Google Drive account automatically. You can group in folders in your Google drive account.
- You can share those files directly from your Google Drive account, you don’t need to re-upload files to share with others. (but don't share the link in public places like Facebook, Google Plus)
- There is no advertisement, trap ads, pop-up ads, misleading/confusing download links there.
- There is no limit or restriction of download count or parallel download.
- People can choose their own file type and convert the file before downloading.
- The book can be read online too.
- Problem
- There is no clear download link in the file sometimes, the best way is to tell someone that click on File→ Download! --Tito Dutta ✉ 17:31, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Independence Day FAC
Hi. Since the issue about images has been resolved at commons and the images are back in the article, is it fine to ping the ones who started off commenting on the FAC page? Considering our goal, I think we should approach them to resume the review. BPositive (talk) 15:26, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Hi! In any case, getting the article to FA status within 15 August is 99% impossible. I think we better wait and watch for other reviewers coming spontaneously, at least for now. We have our new goal now: to get it featured on the main page on 15 august 2013 :) Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 17:24, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

On 9 August 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Mushrooms (film), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the Bengali film Mushrooms, shown in the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes, caused controversy in India when its sexually explicit scene was leaked on the internet? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mushrooms (film). You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

I have made changes to the prose as per your suggestions. It looks like you've reviewed the article up to the overview of chapters. If possible, please continue your review from there, whenever you find the time for it. Regards. CorrectKnowledge (talk) 16:46, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Can I suggest a few changes to your recent edits:
- essence of oneself → essence of self (as it represents individual consciousness not the Self or Atman)
- In "Bhagavad Gita also emphasises", you removed "also". It is necessary because the Gita upholds both Upanishadic monism and dualism/theism.
- The citation is not needed as the next citation (Fowler|2012|page=xliii-iv) covers all the previous sentences in the section.
- I can go ahead and make the changes if you agree. CorrectKnowledge (talk) 15:24, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Could you please complete the synopsis here? I am dying with headache with 13–14 new articles in last 3 days. Still my hand is full with.. to be created... - That is not a huge deal, it can be done bu changing first word of the lead's format or by adding {{Italic title}}. Could you please help to take Nabanna to DYK by expanding (I can totally help in expanding). This is a great play depicting Bengali famine of 1943 of which 2 million died of starvation. In our school syllabus there was a portion of this play "Anna chai, Pran Chai"!
If you are DYK fan, you can try out my articles, I never try DYK, for example–
- Rabindranath Tagore directed Natir Puja in New Empire Cinema (Kolkata)
- Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose came to Roxy Cinema (Kolkata) to watch Ashok Kumar-starre Kismat etc
If you want I can expand the articles you need (though it is very difficult to expand Calcutta Cinema Halls article)

speedy deletion of Agroturystyka dom z bali
Just letting you know have deleted the page, but not for the reason you specified. It was not " patent nonsense," it was written in Polish. Material not in English is specifically exempted from from speedy deletion under the criterion you used, as is noted right in the template you used to nominate it. If you see material that is not in English, websites such as What language is this? and Google translate can help you sort out what is really going on. As it turns out in this case it was a thinly veiled advertisement for a tourist attraction of dubious notability, so I have deleted it for those reasons, but if it was a proper article on an encyclopedic subject it should be listed at pages needing translation as opposed to being speedy deleted. Thanks for your time. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:38, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for the delay in replying. Here are my thoughts about the entire Security section:
- "In anticipation of terrorist attacks...": the section starts with a general claim, i.e. not specific to any particular year or event. Hence, the source(s) we use must also support such a broad claim.
- However, I think you haven't found such a source; your present ones are mainly news reports that talk about specific incidents relevant to that year's i-day alone. For eg, this 2002 source talks of fundamentalists concerns and hence "12,000 people are now deployed". IMO, this source, even in conjuction with similar sources from 2005, 09 and 12 etc, and cannot be used to support the general claim of the first sentence.
- Instead, I suggest you rewrite the section by starting with an uncited general sentence and then follow up with specific incidents. For eg: "In 1950, Nagas threatened to boycott i-day", "In 1991, ULFA caused trouble", "In 2002, 12,000 troops were deployed"... Hopefully you can give a broad idea of the security concerns by pointing specific examples.
- This will also address my worry that the section is currently a little vague—to a non-Indian reader who lacks context, it could appear as though the likes of LeT and ULFA having been terrorising us ever since Independence. :)
Another thing, I think the article needs a bit about the Swarna Jayanti (golden jubilee) in 1997 (or 1996? Not sure how to count—does it mean the 50th i-day or the 50th anniversary of i-day?). I think the govt announced a bunch of schemes etc. Maybe a sub-section of Celebration?—indopug (talk) 13:04, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- "which and how many years to mention" and "inclusion criteria": there doesn't need to be an objective, hard-and-fast rule. I guess we try to give an example or two from the various decades and the relevant groups (Islamists, NE separatists and Maoists)? Yeah, the decades idea is a good one.—indopug (talk) 14:01, 29 August 2012 (UTC)

Hey...!
Thanks for all the important help of copy editing on 59th National Film Awards. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 18:46, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker)I appreciate your edits on the article. After generating so much heat, do you think going for PR2 would be an appropriate step? or shall we continue with this and re-nominate for GOCE and then apply for FL again in some time? - Vivvt • (Talk) 19:23, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- Nomination is now added to "Failed log". I have restored GOCE request which Animesh had withdrawn couple of days back. I'm not sure about how to deal with the copy-vio issue. Official catalogue is already part of references from where everything is referenced. As per FLC comments, 100% copy-paste not allowed, so even if we reference each of them, it wouldn't answer the basic concern of copy-paste. Do we have any copy-vio expert in WP:INCINE? - Vivvt • (Talk) 02:57, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- Spaceman deals with a lot of copyvio issues. Have asked him. §§AnimeshKulkarni (talk) 04:38, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, he could be a good adviser.--Dwaipayan (talk) 04:41, 30 August 2012 (UTC)

- Please keep Mushrooms (film) in watchlist. Most probably you can remember, I wished not to participate in that article, now I am topmost primary contributor there. Keep an eye on that 122.163 IP address edits! I'll slow down reverting else I may get a warning for edit warring! --Tito Dutta ✉ 03:44, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
