On 11 August 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Grigorije Durić, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Serbian Orthodox Church denounced Bishop Grigorije Durić for suggesting that the Serbian government should fund hospitals rather than churches during the COVID-19 pandemic in the country? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Grigorije Durić. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Grigorije Durić), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Coalition for Peace moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Coalition for Peace, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. You keep putting back information that are incorrect. You are using tabloids as source. Please use relevant official sources. For example, Boris Maric was not Minister for labor after Mr. Boskovic. (further to the above: you need not use only official sources; in fact in most cases primary/official sources should not be used as they are not independent of the subject. What needs be used are reliable secondary sources. Tabloids are usually seriously discouraged, yes, but for anything other than simple factual statements we (for instance) want to source from what is being said about an official, not what the official themself says, whenever possible. - The Bushranger One ping only 19:23, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dejan Žujović moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Dejan Žujović, is not suitable as written to remain published. Candidates for political office are not considered notable by Wikipedia, the subject of this article may be notable for other reasons but this will need to be demonstrated by additional sources. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed. Tabloids

edit

Regarding this [2] could you please add a source that isn't a tabloid? Thanks. Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 20:58, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Amanuensis Balkanicus: Hello Amanuensis, I searched for a RS, however, I was not able to find other source covering this recording other than tabloids. In my opinion, these sources can be considered reliable as there is a recording of Đinđić speaking as well which I think it's the most important thing here. I will try to look for a better source though and add it in the article if I find it. Cheers! Elserbio00 (talk) 22:45, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Bosnian Serb guy

edit

Hey Elserbio00! I really don't understand that Zlatno krilo person, they are just continually putting Serb as a nationality and not ethnicity. A Bosnian Serb is closest to a nationality of Serbs in Bosnia than anything else, without putting their Serb ethnicity. Every Serb person in Bosnia that doesn't identify themselves as Bosnian, go with Bosnian Serb, and every person like that is identifed on wikipedia as a Bosnian Serb. Same with, for example, Draško Stanivuković. I belive that you maybe even know that better than me :). I don't know what to do with them. They are almost vandalising by doing those edit. Any ideas? My kind regards! Bakir123 (talk) 19:16, 1 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Hello @Bakir123:, thank you for reaching out to me! I am aware of Zlatno krilo's unconstructive editing. I agree with you, Serb is an ethnicity, not a nationality and I think the confusion is caused by the fact that in our language we use the term nacionalnost to describe someone's ethnicity. We usually use Bosnian Serb on Wiki to describe Serb politicians from Republika Srpska and just Bosnian to describe people like, for example, Bogić Bogićević, whose identity is not very important in regards to their activities, and we also never use just Serb to describe someone's nationality, even for people from Serbia nationality is Serbian, not Serb. You are completely right on this matter and to cap it off I think we should either use Bosnian Serb or Bosnian and Herzegovinian to describe the nationality of Bosnian Serbs. Regarding the user, let's wait for a few days to see what will happen and then decide what to do about his unconstrucive editing. Best regards! Elserbio00 (talk) 19:28, 1 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Elserbio00 Thanks for the speedy answer! I am glad you agree with me. There are people, mostly politicians from Republika Srpska, who identify themselves as Bosnian Serbs, but then also there are those who identify themselves as Bosnian (Tifa, Branko Đurić, Zdravko Čolić, Saša Lošić, Bogić Bogićević etc.). However, for Bosnian Serbs who don't see themselves as Bosnians, I would stick with the Bosnian Serb identification. Bosnian and Herzegovinian, for me personally, is too complex in a way and I believe not needed. I think that everyone who is Bosnian and Herzegovinian is really Bosnian (Serbs like Tifa, Đurić, Čolić, and even Croats like Željko and Ivo Komšić, Blaž Slišković etc.). Regards and thank you! Hi Elserbio00. I see that twice you reinstated a new edit by a blocked IP avoiding bans who is hurling insults to those against such censorship such as “ustashe scum”. Here. Why exactly? Why remove “fascist” or “puppet state” to replace with arbitrary “axis”? This occurs twice. Despite it being documented that it was a fascist puppet sate installed by Nazi Germany.... RfC?

Do you think there should be an RfC regarding this? [3] Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 16:18, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello AB, I was planning on starting an RfC regarding the infobox change since I think his diplomatic career is fairly important part of his life which should be included in the infobox. I was thinking that we could possibly add an infobox like we have for Clint Eastwood as this way his writing career would be prioritized over his diplomatic career. What are your thoughts? Elserbio00 (talk) 16:29, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
I don't have any preferences one way or the other. I just know that a slow-burning edit war isn't the way to go (especially on an article I lifted to GA). If not the RfC, you and SerVasi should at least discuss this on the talk page. Amanuensis Balkanicus (talk) 16:32, 13 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Pogragjë renaming

edit

Hello, you have renamed Pogragjë to the Serbain spelling this is incorrect - please see other cities in Kosovo i.e. Pristina is not Priština so Pogragjë is not Pograde. Furthermore, there is no reference for the Princess of Serbia donating this village at Mount Athos in 1395. Please stop enforcing your nationlistic POV, it is clear by your profile you do not respect Kosovo's right to self-determination and freedom to use it's own lagnuage.

@Uphamresearcher: Serbian spelling is not incorrect. Serbian is an official language in Kosovo besides Albanian, a fact which you simply choose to ignore. Other places in Kosovo also have Serbian names on Wikipedia, for example Mališevo, Orahovac or Dragaš. All controversial name changes should only be done after a discussion on the article's talk page like here so please start a discussion. Elserbio00 (talk) 11:15, 16 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your edits on "List of regions of Serbia"

edit

Good evening Elserbio00,

I understood your first revision of my first edit on the Article. So I was looking for a compromise and added the regions inside Kosovo in a seperate section. I also added a note with it that tells the viewer about the status of Kosovo.

The names shown in that list were the same names shown on their own respective articles.

By your edit, changing all of them to the serbo-croatian variant, it seems like a POV.

I ask you to not do that.

Best Regards,

Help with resolution in regards to a talk page discussion.

edit

Hello ,

I have noticed by your previous edits that you are interested in articles related to Serbia, and would therefore kindly direct you to a talk page discussion with another user about a proposed edit. I am opposed to the edit for various reasons, and would like to hear any input you may have regarding a possible resolution. I feel as though consensus will not be reached through discussion on the article talk page and may need a third-party presence or arbitration. I am a relative beginner here on Wikipedia, and am not familiar with the dispute resolution process. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will post a link to the discussion in question.

Kosovo Serbs

edit

I reverted your edit based on WP:EXCEPTIONAL - strong claims need strong sourcing. Furthermore, Serbian and Albanian newspapers should be very carefully used in such issues of the Kosovo-Serbia conflict. They in large parts misinterpret the news, and in some cases even create them. The same problem appeared on the Church of Christ the Saviour, Pristina, where you made problematic additions using the same newspaper. You need to be more careful in the future. I have installed the app and I see that you have reverted all changes from him as well. There were accurate changes from him that I see but you seemed to have provided context that it was because he was banned. He said you’re a “propagandaš obični” and that I should move on from Wikipedia but I wanted to contact you to see exactly why he had been banned and if you banned him as he said. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 06:36, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Donald Tramp

edit

A tag has been placed on Donald Tramp, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Please only use reliable sources when editing. In the case of Control of cities during the Russo-Ukrainian War, per the talk page, this means that the Russian government and its allies in the conflict may only be used as a source for Russian setbacks. Tomaso Rossini moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Tomaso Rossini, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 14:18, 20 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for creating National Alliance for Local Economic Development.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Notable organisation, but more sources could be referenced from Euractiv and other secondary sources. Also, given that some of sources are foreign-language, would be good to expand them with translated titles for ease of reading.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Shushugah}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Non-attributed translations

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from ru:Нимченко,_Юрий_Петрович to Yury Nimchenko. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 14:44, 11 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Rsk6400 (talk) 17:14, 27 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:46, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
