Tetragonotheca helianthoides moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Tetragonotheca helianthoides, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Campbell College (Mississippi) moved to draftspace
I'm assuming this was supposed to be created in draft space (in-line with your restriction)? There are still what appear to be notes (references to page numbers and the like) still present in the prose. GirthSummit (blether) 15:14, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

- None of us are perfect FloridaArmy, but it's not that hard to tell the difference between draft space and article space, and you've been doing that quite a few times lately. I'm just asking you to be more careful. GirthSummit (blether) 15:44, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- How can you tell if you're working draft space as opposed to mainspace? FloridaArmy (talk) 15:45, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- It depends how you go about creating the draft, of course - I tend to create drafts in userspace, with 'userspace draft' templates attached. If you go through the AfC wizard, they have an AfC template at the top. If you do neither of these, and do it directly, they still say 'Draft' before the article title. I'm not trying to give you a hard time about this, but if I had an editing restriction that required me to go through AfC, I would be careful about trying to abide by it. You seem to have not noticed that you were
editingcreating new articles in mainspace several times in the past week. Either appeal your restrictions, or do your best to abide by them - otherwise you risk giving the impression that you are selectively ignoring them, which is going to get people's backs up. GirthSummit (blether) 15:57, 19 June 2020 (UTC)- I understand. I usually remember to put Draft: before my creations. Sometimes when I'm creating an entry, earching for the name, trying to keep track of alternate spellings, and trying to remember key details, I mess up. When I ultimately go to submit it shows up as improper which is when I've caught it. Yes, there are those who would crucify me now matter how careful I am because inevitsbly I'm going to make mistakes. I'm only human. On the occasions I left a creation in mainspace I've moved it back to draftspace when I notice it or when it's pointed out to me. I'm doing my best. FloridaArmy (talk) 16:07, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- FloridaArmy, I don't want to crucify you. I don't want to do anything to you. But every time you break the restriction, you strengthen the argument of the people you're talking about. Why not change the way you create drafts to avoid this risk?
- Whenever I start a page, I type the subject titles I want to use in the search bar. When it draws a blank, it gives me the option to create the page. Then, when it starts the page, it gives me the option
You can also start your new article at Special:Mypage/...
. I click on that, and create a user space draft. I work it up, add my refs, and then when I'm happy I publish it in mainspace. You could do the same thing, but send to AfC when you're ready. - I think that if you followed that process, you would have just one extra mouse click, and it would completely negate the risk of violation your topic ban. Better that, surely, than risk sanctions because you're just making too many mistakes? Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 16:14, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

- Thanks for the suggestion. I don't recall seeing the special/mypage bit but I will keep an eye out for it. Someone did a search and there was only one article.in mainspace I created. I moved it to draftspace. So I don't think it's a huge problem. But it does sometimes happen and usually I am the one to catch it. If someone else does they either move it or point it oit to me and I fix it. I prefer articlespace as drsftspace makes things quite a bit more complicated but at least in draftspace anyone can work on something. I tend to avoid workong on userspace drsfts because outsiders aren't always welcome. Hopefully I will remember to insert the draft: during the process at least during this super scrutiny where some editors, not you, are trying to punish me for struglling under a restriction imposed on me that makes things much more difficult, time consuming, and complicated for me. FloridaArmy (talk) 16:23, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- I'm happy to leave this here for now, but can I offer you a different perspective on the whole 'punish you' thing? I do quite a bit of work in NPP, where we are rather struggling under the weight of a 10,000-article backlog. Adding half-finished drafts to that queue just adds to that burden, and takes up editors' time to filter them out. I know you're not doing it on purpose, but it's not like your mistakes don't have any consequences for other people. You say you find them yourself usually - but I found two of them myself today, and I know there have been others mentioned at that ANI thread. Please just, you know, be more careful.
- As an aside, I don't think that working in userspace would be less convenient for you than working in draft space. I don't really know what you mean about outsiders not being welcome, but you could put links to all of your active drafts on your userpage, with an invitation to other editors to help improve them. What could be more welcoming? Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 16:40, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

You are now subject to an editing restriction
Hi FloridaArmy, I hope you're well despite the circumstances. I have closed the ANI discussion having found consensus to limit you to 20 AfC submissions at a time. You'll find the specific wording there, but it's not clear how your existing submissions will be handled. You will want to stop submitting new drafts until the implementation is figured out however. I couldn't find any formal requirement that you be notified or a template for the purpose, so I hope you don't mind the personal note. Though it's not fun to be the subject of an editing restriction or ANI discussion, having read through the discussion I got the sense that the community does genuinely appreciate your work. I look forward to seeing more interesting articles from you, and hopefully the community can revisit this in a few months. Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help at all.
