Hi,
I have posted an article for review and some one made comments that the article is an Orphan although I have inserted huge wikipedia linked pages in the article. Please suggest me.

Rebecca Lindsey, Singer/Songwriter/Philanthropist
To Whom it May Concern:
I have tried several times to up load this article about Rebecca Lindsey. I have included legitimate references (including Wikipedia article about Charlie Craig which even mentions Rebecca) proving everything in the article is accurate, notable and true as well several times. If you would, please let me know as soon as possible what is lacking whereas I have been trying to up load this since JUNE. I also finally got approval after showing Rebecca owns the pictures submitted and now the pictures cannot be up loaded even when I renamed them. All the pictures previously up loaded still need to be un-deleted as Luke from Wikipedia suggested 6/17/2013 (and has still not been done).
Please see below and email me at info@rebeccalindsey.net.
Thank you,
Samantha

- Hello there. First of all, the aforementioned copyright matter needs to be resolved through the appropriate channels, which I'm not familiar with and I recommend you continue your communication with Johan, etc.
- As for the article, sources need to be: independent, reliable, and extensive. I cannot help you unless you read those policies, as they will be of great use and are paramount to Wikipedia. Notability is objective. A rule of thumb: include EXTENSIVE references (not just passing mentions, i.e. the article needs to be entirely about the artist) in newspapers, books, magazines or other edited works about the person. If the article has won national or international awards (e.g. not a state fair talent competition) then please include the appropriate citations. Which sources are not considered reliable? Primary sources, such as press releases; the artist's own publications; amazon, facebook, twitter; any source related to the artist or her industry (e.g. her publisher, manager, etc.). It might well be the case that the artist is non-notable according to Wikipedia's standards and policies, in which case I recommend you wait some time until (and if) she is. Your edits are appreciated; be aware that this isn't chastising, but a way of setting the bar for Wikipedia as a whole.
- It might be useful to read this policy too. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 19:31, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

draft entry for Her Benny (novel)
Hi there, I'm the writer of this draft page. I supplied it because at the moment it is actually a missing page, with 'red links' to it on other pages, e.g. the ones for Hocking, the film of Her Benny, and the city of Liverpool. If it is eventually decided that the subject is 'non-notable', as you suggest, those should be cleaned up. Meanwhile I've already supplied references to the novel from the Oxford Companion to English Literature and the Oxford DNB, but can't think of any others suggesting its 'notability' - a huge best-seller at the time, much reprinted since, also adapted for film and stage, but not the kind of work that attracts much literary criticism! Best wishes Sun-in-splendour (talk) 10:43, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you for your contributions! In order to establish the notability of the subject, extensive coverage in independent and reliable sources is needed. If the novel is a well-known one, it won't be hard to come by some news articles, reviews, etc. about it. If you need any further assistance, let me know. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 19:50, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
Articles for creation/2 Sides Of The Story (Album)

- Hello there! WP:NALBUMS is a very useful resource. Keep in mind that having collaborated with certain people is not a notability criterion per se. You need to provide extensive coverage in independent and reliable sources, e.g. reviews in newspapers, magazines, books, etc. The articles need to be entirely or substantially about the album, and not be associated with the artist in any way. You might also be interested in reading this. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 12:42, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

- Done. A few comments: 1) I wouldn't use Oprah's show as a reference, and some references should be changed to more reliable ones in general. 2) "has met with influential politicians" doesn't mean anything unless he's done stuff with them; perhaps rephrasing that sentence is appropriate. 3) I don't see why "Other songs focus on the theme of childhood vs. maturity, such as "Into the Heart", "Twilight" and "Stories for Boys"" is relevant for his biographical section. 4) The NBC Nightly News "honour" doesn't seem relevant to me. Hope this helps. Good luck! FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 01:33, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

Sources for entry on Bruce Ellis Benson (Professor)
Hello FoCuSandLeArN! Thank you for your efforts in reviewing my wikipedia contribution on bruce ellis benson. Right now I am baffled as to why you consider the sources I have provided for his page as neither reliable nor independent, considering that all but his personal page are independent and all are reliable. I have more thorough support than his colleagues (see James K A Smith, for example). Thanks again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by JAGXIVII (talk • contribs) 01:38, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
- Notability's established usually by coverage in media, books or any other edited sources. You must establish what significant contribution he's made for the field with independent and reliable referencing. Make sure you review those policies because they are unique to Wikipedia and might not be what you expect. Hope this helps, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 03:08, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Vredestein brand page
Hello,
Thank you very much for your message and for reading my article on the Vredestein brand. I agree with you that the Apollo Vredestein B.V. page is quite close to being the same. But actually it is a company page while de Vredestein page I wanted to make is a page about the brand. It's like Apollo Tyres and Apollo Vredestein B.V.
How can I do this?
Thank you very much for your help,

I am trying to submit an article for the composer Dr. Gregory Jackson. I used source material from articles and published books. What can be done to have him included, eliminate some of the information? Or did I not cite the sources correctly? I believe he is notable because he has 11 books published, recently submitted a piece for the Pulitzer Prize and articles published in international magazines, as well as a professor. Thanks! Hi there - This is my first time submitting and editing a news article.
After your initial review, which rejected the submission, I went back and added external references and links.
just not sure if this re-submission was properly submitted??
No worries if it hasn't been processed yet. I just want to make sure my changes were made in the system.
Please let me know.
Thanks.

- You deleted the templates, so I had to reinstate them. You need to click on the resubmit button in order to do that. However, please be aware of my previous comment. You may want to read those guidelines. Also, to see how to place in-line citations, see WP:REFB. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 14:57, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Dear Wiki,
My article is currently in the queue for submission however a message for me to add citations/ references etc has arisen prior to this please can you assist me to find matching citations for my article? I have attempted finding some myself however would be grateful for your assistance with this as id like to overcome the issue and resubmit my article.
Can you have a look over my article again and see what you think I have edited it to make it more factual rather then biography isit within the correct way now?
My wiki name is amellondon,
Look forward to hearing from you.--Amellondon (talk) 16:35, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
- Do you have any independent and reliable sources, such as media coverage? FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 19:42, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
Hello,
Hope your well. Please can you let me no if my article is back in the queue? I would like to get an experienced editor to have a look at it and if possible put it up for me is this an option?
Also every reference I try putting up will not go up it keeps saying not acceptable. Would a reference from a news paper or bbc meet the criteria and be accepted?
Please let me no
Thanks

- Yes, BBC is an acceptable source. Please provide extensive coverage from source such as that one so that we can assess the subject's notability. FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 19:19, 30 August 2013 (UTC)

Hello I notice that you have said that saying that a school has a "Charism" is a breach of neutrality. It causes me to wonder if you have misunderstood what is meant by the term "Charism" in this context. It is a Catholic term, used about a Catholic school. It means that the School is founded by the Sisters of Mercy and follows their way of approaching Catholic Christianity through a perspective of "Mercy". This is what is meant by charism - the Sisters of Mercy have a "Mercy charism" and Carmel College, founded by the Sisters of Mercy has a Mercy charism also.

- I doubt that's what I meant. But I need to have a look at the article you're referring to. FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 00:45, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
