A second eye

Hello today, FuzzyMagma (I'm yet to know your real name, sorry :-)). I created an article that I would want to nominate for GA status, I want you to give me a second eye on Benin Altar Tusk, to avoid a quick fail. Waiting to hear from you, many thanks for your support on the Benin Moat article. Regards! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 17:50, 21 September 2023 (UTC)

at first glance it looks very good. I will combe through it ASAP FuzzyMagma (talk) 15:46, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
Many thanks! Vanderwaalforces (talk) 16:58, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
Can I now nominate it? Vanderwaalforces (talk) 01:29, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
go for it, it will take months normally for someone to review it, so I will have time to go through it later. Thanks for writing the article and sorry for being bit busy these days. FuzzyMagma (talk) 12:27, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
Okay, thanks! And no problems, we're all busy people. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 16:16, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Mansour Ali Haseeb

The article Mansour Ali Haseeb you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold  . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. Your GA nomination of Mansour Ali Haseeb

The article Mansour Ali Haseeb you nominated as a good article has passed  ; see Talk:Mansour Ali Haseeb for comments about the article, and Talk:Mansour Ali Haseeb/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK.   Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Sudan into Fashion of Sudan. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. On Janjaweed in the Misterei massacre

Hey, I added Janjaweed along with the RSF in the perpetrators section of the Misterei massacre. I read your article, and while it claims that all Janjaweed merged with the RSF, this article from 2023 and the HRW report mention that the Janjaweed refers to Arab tribal perpetrators that are affiliated with the RSF, although not necessarily conscripted by the RSF. Jebiguess (talk) 03:58, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

I will update the Janjaweed article then too, just to be consistent FuzzyMagma (talk) 06:58, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

Mentions of Taiba and September airstrike in Nyala in the campaignbox

Hey, I noticed you removed the mentions of the Taiba bridge massacre and the Nyala airstrike from the campaignbox for the War in Sudan. Personally, I added them because they were significant incidents worthy of a reader's glance, especially given lack of coverage on war crimes throughout the war in Sudan. Was there any particular reason you removed them? Jebiguess (talk) 14:40, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

I am sure they are very important events and the reader can read them when looking into the article main article.
As general rule of thumb, links in template should point to an article or a few missing article (normally none) but not a subsection, see Wikipedia:Navigation template which states Avoid repeating links to the same article within a template. FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:45, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
@Jebiguess btw how about building an article just for that, i.e., War crimes during the war in Sudan (2023)?
couple of articles (Amnesty, AlJazeera, The Guradin, and many more) already warrants the topic being captured in a separate article FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:49, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
On the inter-article links, noted. Regarding the war crimes page, I'm gonna work on a few more articles regarding events in Sudan - Sirba, Kubum, and pages for the two airstrikes along with others in Omdurman and Khartoum - so when the page is created, there's more to work with. Jebiguess (talk) 19:41, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
I think it’s better having a big good article that addresses the topic rather than having smaller articles. For example, Darfur genocide has the details of the killing in different locations. And an article like Draft:War crimes during the war in Sudan (2023) can include massacres around Geneina, Shelling of Mayo and Mandella, RSF looting and raping in Khartoum, etc. FuzzyMagma (talk) 08:18, 30 September 2023 (UTC)

New page reviewer granted

Hi FuzzyMagma. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers" user group. Please check back at the permissions page in case your user right is time-limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page or ask via the NPP Discord. In addition, please remember:

  • Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
  • You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
  • If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
  • Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page, including checking for copyright violations using Earwig's copyright violation detector, checking for duplicate articles, and evaluating sources (both in the article, and if needed, via a Google search) for compliance with the general notability guideline.
  • Please review some of our flowcharts (1, 2) to help ensure you don't forget any steps.
  • Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.

The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. If you can read any languages other than English, please add yourself to the list of new page reviewers with language proficiencies. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 00:51, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

The Source you used for Maba people

I know that Joshua Project is not a reliable source but the source you used for Maba people is also not reliable as they don't have any data on where they get their numbers from. 101 African tribes website is not a reliable source because their information is old and is not updated with recent data or numbers that's why I removed it. Think it was a misunderstanding on your part. Cookiemonster1618 (talk) 18:22, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

find me a better source, then edit. as it stands for now, Joshua project is listed by the community (and not you) as not reliable at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources and mine is not. and I see you are being involved in couple of warring although you keep cleaning up your page. You have been blocked before for similar behaviour, and I hope you have learnt something from that experience FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:26, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
I wasnt blocked before for adding joshua project and adding a source doesnt constitute vandalism. And i revert any edits that are made by users with no sources and those who change numbers. I found a reliable source anyways for Maba and what does being blocked a few months ago for 2 days have to do with this conversation now? And what "behaviour" are you talking about?. Cookiemonster1618 (talk) 18:29, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
it seem like you see nothing wrong with your behaviour, I will get an admin involved. let them solve this FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:30, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

Regarding Bhatheli article

The article should not be speedily deleted because...I have already mentioned in the edit summary of the above mentioned article that i have taken some sentences from another Wikipedia article "Domahi". Additionally, I've added some sentences that I researched myself along with references. My intention was to create an article on the traditions followed in Assam. And, the festival needs an seperate article on wikipedia. I know that copyright infringement is not acceptable at any cost. Saurabh{Talk} 10:33, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

I truly thought about dratify the article but the copyvio was too much. I have no doubts about the significance or the notability of the festival, and I am sorry if the deletion signaled anything like this. It was copyvio issue and I hope you won't be deterred and write a separate article about Bhatheli. Stay safe FuzzyMagma (talk) 17:45, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
Thank you buddy for clarifying the reason for the deletion. I appreciate your understanding, and I'll certainly consider writing a separate article about Bhatheli in the future.

But, Can't we copy some text from another article's section? Mention that in the edit summary, please guide me if I am wrong. Stay safe as well! Saurabh{Talk} 12:09, 11 October 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for understanding. you can try Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion or maybe it is easier to start with the current section at Domahi#Bhatheli and take it from there. You can also translate the equivalent article at Bhatheli (click the small as symbol) FuzzyMagma (talk) 13:06, 11 October 2023 (UTC)

Electron backscatter diffraction FAC query

Hi FM. the query you posed is the most frequently asked question. I have put my boilerplate on how to attract reviewers below, for what it is worth.

Reviewers are more happy to review articles from people whose name they see on other reviews (although I should say there is definitely no quid pro quo system on FAC). Reviewers are a scarce resource at FAC, unfortunately, and the more you put into the process, the more you are likely to get out. Personally, when browsing the list for an article to review, I am more likely to select one by an editor whom I recognise as a frequent reviewer. Critically reviewing other people's work may also have a beneficial impact on your own writing and your understanding of the FAC process.

Sometimes placing a polite neutrally phrased request on the talk pages of a few of the more frequent reviewers helps. Or on the talk pages of relevant Wikiprojects. Or of editors you know are interested in the topic of the nomination. Or who have contributed at PR, or assessed at GAN, or edited the article. Sometimes one struggles to get reviews because potential reviewers have read the article and decided that it requires too much work to get up to FA standard. I am not saying this is the case here - I have not read the article - just noting a frequent issue.

A trip to PR may help. If it is perceived that the article is weak in some respect this may address it, and - if you can attract them - PR reviewers tend to "buy in" and subsequently review at FAC. Gog the Mild (talk) 20:50, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the solid advice. FuzzyMagma (talk) 22:15, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
@Gog the Mild I wonder if there is still time for me to do that or it’s little too late? FuzzyMagma (talk) 22:22, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
The recent nomination has been archived. This is more common than not for first attempts at FA. I would suggest selecting bits of the advice above that appeal, plus anything else which you think may help, with a view to resubmitting with a stronger article and some name recognition for yourself and/or the article. The editors who commented on the nom just closed may well comment at PR if approached. And reviewing a few FACs will help you understand how others approach the whole procedure. I realise that this can feel tedious, but almost everyone finds getting through that first FA learning curve a struggle. Gog the Mild (talk) 22:41, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
Silly question, what is PR? FuzzyMagma (talk) 22:44, 10 October 2023 (UTC)

Ethiopian horses

Hi! I'm somewhat unimpressed by your move-warring at Ethiopian horses. Please, if you've tried moving a page and been reverted, either let it go or start a move discussion – moving a page without discussion is only for moves that are uncontroversial, which of course a move that's already been reverted cannot be. Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 08:56, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

El matammah Genocide

Hi, I've noticed that you have a prolific editorial history regarding wikis about Sudan and it's history and firstly as a Sudani myself I commend you for your work faithfully cataloguing Sudan's history. One topic I've always wanted to see recorded onto Wikipedia however is the Ethnic cleansing that occurred in El ' Matammah that was perpetrated by al Mahdi's and his forces, as a descendant of the victims of that genocide my family has kept the oral tradition of that history alive but are always concerned that one day it will be forgotten, especially as the older generations that had heard first or second hand telling's of the events pass away, as far as I know the only attempt at cataloguing the exact unfolding of events were over a decade ago attempting to tell the story from multiple pov's and compiling them into a book however as I grew up I never got to see or read it. So I was hoping that maybe you could look into making a permeant Wiki into the topic cementing the events in history especially for future generations. I believe El' Matammah's genocide is a pretty significant event in the history of the Gaghali tribe shaping it's current intertribal relationships as well as the broader history of Sudan as a whole and what followed in the countries history from colonization and el' Mahdi's legacy. MAD MAN MO (talk) 08:45, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind words and trusting me with such a big task.
I have come across El Matamma massacre (or “كتلة المتمه") when reading about Abdallah Wd Saad and my intention was for next year is to read about the Mahdist state and make pages about Abdalrhaman al-Njomo and other Mahdi princes and add the Sudanese perspective to these events as they are currently written from a colonial perspective. I also had the intention to write about “1970 Aba and al-Moleed massacre” where Nimri killed al-Ansar. So your request is very interesting
coming back to your request, yes, I will definitely add your request to my next year list. You can help me with providing reliable sources even if they are not available online I can buy some of them. If you have images and videos you can donate them to Wikicommns and I can use them.
I intentionally called the event “massacre” as genocide entails the intent for ethnical/racial/religious cleansing and it’s very hard term to apply without multiple reliable sources as not to commit one of Wikipedia’s most hated violations, i.e., original research.
Another thing that I want to make clear that I can only write and summarise what is already documented that includes analysis. Again to avoid doing an original research.
I appreciate you reaching out and glad I can help FuzzyMagma (talk) 09:24, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

Clarification needed

Hi FuzzyMagma, how are you today? I want to clear on the Benin Altar Tusk that it is in Cleveland Museum of Art, that is why I gave it that section name. Was it not clear? if there's a way to make it clearer, I would appreciate it. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 17:46, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi bro (I hope I am not wrong in assuming your gender), in the lead it says "Today, the Benin Altar Tusk is housed in the British Museum." FuzzyMagma (talk) 17:48, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
Hehe, you are not wrong. In the sentence just before that paragraph, "... eventually finding a home in the British Museum and dispersing among various museums and private collections in Europe."
What do you think? Should the two paragraphs be merged such that there is no need for that "Today, the Benin Altar Tusk is housed in the British Museum."? Or...? Vanderwaalforces (talk) 17:53, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
I think I am confused about whether the Benin Altar Tusk is one thing or many, which parts are in the US and which are in the UK.
these two sentences "Since 1968, the Benin Altar Tusk has been part of the collection at the Cleveland Museum of Art in Cleveland, Ohio" and "Today, the Benin Altar Tusk is housed in the British Museum" cannot be correct at the same time FuzzyMagma (talk) 17:57, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
SO, if you check the talk page, you will find a user who has expressed that same concern. So, I guess I will have to move the page to Benin Altar Tusks and do come other copyediting to comply with the change in the context. Because there is not one, there are so many, Many in several museums around the world, and so many more in present-day Benin City. What do you think? Vanderwaalforces (talk) 18:01, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
yah similar to Egyptian pyramids for example. do not forgot to edit the grammar FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:07, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
that's what I will do, it shouldn't be difficult to do. Thanks, I will let you know when I finish. Also, are you planning on reviewing the GA? :) Vanderwaalforces (talk) 18:10, 20 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi, FuzzyMagma, I hope you are doing well, If you have the time, can you please review that Matrubharti created 15 days ago?, If there are any areas where I can improve, please direct me. Thank you Dcotos (talk) (talk) 16:44, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

@Dcotos : Please do not ask me or other reviewers to do that. Just wait in line, like everyone including myself, and hopefully a reviewer will get to these articles
You may get a faster review process if you nominate your article at Did you know
FuzzyMagma (talk) 16:51, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
@FuzzyMagma : Sure, I will keep that in mind and next time will use article nominate (DYK), Thank you, Cheers . Dcotos (talk) 16:58, 22 October 2023 (UTC)

DYK for Benin Moat

On 29 October 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Benin Moat, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Benin Moat was built by the Edo people over several centuries, starting from around AD 800 and continuing until 1460? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Benin Moat. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Benin Moat), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

November Articles for creation backlog drive

Hello FuzzyMagma:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.

There is a backlog of over 1000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:24, 31 October 2023 (UTC)

Draftification

Hello, FuzzyMagma,

Maybe you are not aware but articles in main space should only be draftified if they are newly created. That typically means that they have been created over the last 3-6 months. Lake Wales Charter Schools is 17 years old and should never have been draftified. Please check the page history before sending an article to Draft space. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:30, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Sorry for that FuzzyMagma (talk) 07:52, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Too much

Sorry, life is not Wikipedia. If you still don't accept that a book needs no page numbers when the whole book is the source, just go ahead and fail the GA. Ldm1954 (talk) 04:45, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Similarly for the lead. Go ahead and fail the article for GA, I am not going to make the lead excessive and incomprehensible. Long is not better. Ldm1954 (talk) 04:54, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
Also I reverted your recent edits as you completely messed up the linking of the Figures. Furthermore there is no rationale to combining the CBED schematic and Nestor's thickness images, they are not sufficiently connected. Please stop making edits to follow your vision of WP:MOS which is not shared. Ldm1954 (talk) 11:12, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
please check MOS:SANDWICH before being hostile, and you do not own the article, I really hope you understand that. I will surely put this edit back in accordance with Wikipedia Manual of Style FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:57, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
MOS:SANDWICH is not relevant. Since my first web page in the 80's I always check with multiple browsers. None of Chrome, Mozilla, IE, Android phone, Android tab show anything remotely similar to that guidance.
If you delete the links again then you will start an edit war. I have added edit visible comments so hopefully you and anyone else will not destroy them again.
Please read the first lines of MOS
It is a generally accepted standard that editors should attempt to follow, though it is best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions may apply.
It is not common sense to combine two Figures with completely different context into one. That is wrong now and nothing will change that. Ldm1954 (talk) 15:32, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
"If you delete the links again then you will start an edit war." you should be more reasonable than to use threats, you should always seek to avoid warring and not threating to have them. You can always seek as a third opinion especially when I linked to my edit to a policy and you justified yours based on a personal experience from the 80s, but you cannot use this kind of language. FuzzyMagma (talk) 11:19, 12 November 2023 (UTC)

Hey man im josh (talk) 15:09, 6 November 2023 (UTC)

Unicode chart translation request

Hello. I maintain multilingual Wikimedia charts showing roadmaps to the various planes of the Unicode Standard.
I'm hoping you will provide Arabic translations for me. (I noticed your user name on the Wikipedia:Translators available list.)

After the charts have been updated they can be added to the Arabic Unicode article.

Techniques for eliminating close paraphrasing

I learned this in school a very, very, very long time ago, but one technique that works well for me is to read the sources, take some notes, and then, starting from memory alone, write out parts of the article as best you can in your own words without looking at any material or notes. It won't be perfect or necessarily accurate, but it allows you to create a framework in your mind, put a working model on the page, and through subsequent revisions and rechecking, develop an article that is free from copyrighted material. It also helps to become fluent with a larger range of synonyms and antonyms to the point where you don't have to check all the time, but if you aren't, there are various books and websites designed for writers that can help you rewrite your material. From another perspective, I personally find it helpful to use limited, conceptual synaesthesia approaches. So instead of thinking of paraphrasing language, I think of it as a kind of music, melody, or song. Perhaps if you have a background in pottery, you might think of it in terms of molding clay; or if you like to garden, in terms of growing, pruning, and training plants. I find that thinking about writing completely outside of what we think it really is, helps me write, rewrite, paraphrase, and compose material. Find whatever works for you and use it. Viriditas (talk) 20:14, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

appreciate the advise and will surely take it on board. I might also take a week or two off just to clear my head. I tried to push through this but I am afraid am at my limit tbh. Take care FuzzyMagma (talk) 21:05, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello, FuzzyMagma. Thank you for your work on 500 Words Magazine. DreamRimmer, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Some of the references given are actually from Search 500 Words Magazine and its owner, Ola Diab—primary sources. The rest are just listings and databases, not the most reliable. The third source looks okay. Please replace others with more reliable sources.

I need you to write about Sudan largest e-learning platform and the most popular one with more Than 900 thousands followers in socials media , it has great impact on the community and it’s also registered as NGO in Sudan you can google Goma8ra to find more information you Can contact me as a founder and ceo to reach more information Mohammed Omer Khalid (talk) 16:48, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

@Mohammed Omer Khalid you can start with “can you please write about …”, “please” is the integral part here as this is a voluntary work, similar to what you do at Goma8ra
Second, to write about any topic on Wikipedia, I need to follow the golden rules, which means writing about a topic that garnered substantial coverage from reliable and non primary sources. If you can provide this, I can try and write something and I - or any other editor - should not contact you for more information as it will be perceived as conflict of interest
Having an article on Wikipedia or not does not take away from the great work you and Goma8ra are doing, but these are the policies that governs this project. hope this helps FuzzyMagma (talk) 17:37, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Please read the MOS

To quote:

As a general rule, images should not be set to a larger fixed width than 220px (the initial base width), and if an exception to this general rule is warranted, the resulting image should usually be no more than 400px wide (300px for lead images) and 500px tall, for comfortable display on the smallest devices "in common use" (though this may still cause viewing difficulties on some unusual displays).

Nowhere does it say they should be 300 px, that is the maximum. You can do what you want with Electron backscatter diffraction, but please leave Electron diffraction alone. Ldm1954 (talk) 01:11, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

It literally says “300px for lead images” and please, no one owns articles here, see WP:OWN FuzzyMagma (talk) 02:03, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
It says specifically should usually be no more than 400px wide (300px for lead images) that does not mean that they must be 300 px, it means that the should be less than 300px. Please read this carefully. Ldm1954 (talk) 02:06, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
If you do not believe that this is the meaning of that sentence, please do a WP:3O. It is not complicated, sorry you are incorrect on this one. Ldm1954 (talk) 02:10, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
N.B., if you wonder why there is a recommended maximum, and why I consider 300 px inferior, please use something like an android phone to view the page. A width of 300px fills the screen, leaving almost no whitespace. The default for that image (and all the others) puts a reasonable margin on both sides which improves readability. Ldm1954 (talk) 02:30, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hello, FuzzyMagma. Thank you for your work on Kereneik. Chaotic Enby, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Notable per WP:NGEO, but it would be great if more information could be added on the town itself outside of its recent involvement in the conflict (e.g. population, etc.)

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Chaotic Enby}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Question about Anonymous Sudan

Great article with Anonymous Sudan, I'm just performing a light copyedit for readability. I had a quick question which I wasn't able to easily parse, and hoped you could clarify!

In the first sentence of the "Targets/Motive" section, the flow is broken up a bit and could mean two very different things. I *suspect* it's meant to say they're targeting self-proclaimed anti-Muslim groups, and they ARE anti-Zionist, but it reads as though they are targeting both anti-Muslim and anti-Zionist groups: which interpretation is correct?

You do a great job at presenting things in WikiVoice appropriately btw, by seamlessly indicating "X source says this" when appropriate. I think as we clean up this sentence we would need to continue that trend, and if the group has in fact been labeled anti-Zionist we should clearly indicate by whom they have been labeled that.

Thanks for your time and your overall contributions here. Feel free to respond on my talk page, here, or the article talk: if the latter two, please ping me by username as I'm still getting the hang of tracking all the conversations I enter into here 😅 Happy editing and feel free to tag me in for help if you ever want copy reviewed, it is my strange "relaxation hobby" to edit grammar and check formatting, lol. Your GA nomination of Bona Malwal

The article Bona Malwal you nominated as a good article has failed  ; see Talk:Bona Malwal for reasons why the nomination failed. If or when these points have been taken care of, you may apply for a new nomination of the article. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Czarking0 -- Czarking0 (talk) 05:03, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

I know it's probably silly, but I want to thank you for your thank you. I have taken a lot of grief over that page, so a thank you for it is especially meaningful to me. Not that there isn't grief associated with religion articles on a regular basis! I am glad to meet another persevering editor. Thank you for your contributions as well! Jenhawk777 (talk) 20:54, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

@Jenhawk777 you wrote a very interesting article. Your style is very different and the topic is well "dumbed down". Don't understand why it did not pass GA! but Amazing stuff! FuzzyMagma (talk) 23:22, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
I think it didn't pass because the people who know sociology don't know anything about the Christianization of the Roman Empire, and the people who know history don't know anything about sociology. They all seemed to find it confusing, so apparently it wasn't dumbed down enough. Glad to make the acquaintance of someone smart enough to follow it! Such is life on Wikipedia. Cheers to you! Jenhawk777 (talk) 04:08, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
You can always renominate it FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:15, 22 February 2024 (UTC)

UK Young Academy

Just for future reference, when you need to back up several edits like you did a few hours ago at UK Young Academy, it isn't actually necessary to manually revert each individual edit one by one — you can just click on the date and time link for the specific version you want to restore, and there will be a "restore this version" link at the top of the page once you're on it. It really simplifies things quite a lot, because it makes the whole process one edit instead of four. Bearcat (talk) 13:31, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

good to know that. I actually ended up doing it manually FuzzyMagma (talk) 16:09, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Restoring Arabic page Rima Bali

Hi FuzzyMagma, I hope you have started the new year in your usual active mode. ;) Today, I want to ask your help in restoring a page on the Arabic WP I published a few days ago about Syrian writer Rima Bali. - For reasons I don't understand, it was completely deleted by an Arabic user. You can find my draft here: https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D9%85%D8%B3%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%AF%D9%85:Munfarid1/%D8%B1%D9%8A%D9%85%D8%A7_%D8%A8%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%8A - If you think, there is no problem with this page, I would be grateful if you could restore it. - Best regards and keep up the great work, Munfarid1 (talk) 07:08, 21 February 2024 (UTC)

I moved your page to the mainspace. Hope this seals it FuzzyMagma (talk) 08:05, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
Great, thanks a lot, and enjoy your day. Cheers Munfarid1 (talk) 08:10, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
it was deleted again for not meeting the notability criteria, without any discussion. Sorry but I stopped editing Ar Wiki because it is just frustrating. Things are deleted, reverted, or you may get blocked without any discussion. FuzzyMagma (talk) 18:00, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
Thanks, mate. What you say is really terrible and an indication of lack of neutrality by such editors. And there are quite a few faulty articles in the Arabic WP. We'll just have to live with it and concentrate on the English WP. Cheers and thanks again Munfarid1 (talk) 18:34, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
@Munfarid1 hi would this be of interest to you
EmpowerHer FuzzyMagma (talk) 11:33, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for thinking of this again, but this is restricted to women in Africa, so not applicable to a Syrian woman writer. I have since asked some Arabic women users to look into the possibility of restoring the Arabic article about Rima Bali. Let's wait and see, if this will happen. Cheers, Munfarid1 (talk) 19:54, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
I was asking in general since you wrote many articles about Sudanese FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:43, 8 March 2024 (UTC)

I am not going to argue against, but the report cites three different articles and all of them have 82% which should tells you that the overlap is in the scientific terms used, like "rolling/sliding", "stress field", etc FuzzyMagma (talk) 23:22, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
