Subcategories

I'm not sure if these "LGBT-related controveries in [country]" categories are useful or not, but I do know that you are not implementing them correctly. A page should not be included in both "LGBT-related controveries" and in a subcategory of that. That's the whole point of subcategories. Also, some of these categories you're adding are pretty questionable. George Michael and "obscenity controversies in music"? What is that even about? No one ever said his music was obscene. Given the number of messages on your Talk page, I'd have to suggest that you slow down a bit. Consider going to relevant projects such as WP:FILM before you create a new film-related article for instance...at this stage of the game, you may be better off asking permission than begging forgiveness, and it will make it more clear to everyone that you're making every effort to edit in good-faith if you can point to interactions with other editors in which they signed off on you making changes. Adding categories that aren't supported by an article though, or adding unsourced material in general, when you've already been talked to multiple times, won't lead down a good path for you. Please do not remove deletion tags from pages you have created, as it states in this notice. If the category is no longer empty, another editor will remove the CSD C1 tag from the page. As the notice above states, "Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself". As far as empty categories go, there are several editors who look at the CSD C1 category daily and will remove any categories that are no longer empty if they contain articles before the 7 day period is up so you don't need to worry about them being deleted if they are no longer empty. Besides, categories that are deleted simply for being empty can easily be recreated with a request to the deleting administrator or by going to WP:REFUND. Thank you. Liz ^{Read!
