Two ongoing Sustainable Energy recordings

edit

Hi! I started my own recording for the Sustainable Energy article some time ago, and it's mostly finished apart from some editing. Progress was slow, but I was coming back to it tonight, and was surprised that my entry had been removed and replaced, even though nobody gave me a reminder first. I think the procedure is usually to send someone a reminder if it looks like they've been inactive, and then to delete the entry from the list if they don't respond for two weeks.

All that said, if your recording is nearly finished, then go ahead and finish it anyway – I'm not going argue that you shouldn't just because of a small slip up. I was definitely gone for a while, and there are plenty of other articles I can do. But if you still have a lot of the work to do, then I'd like to finish mine, so that the work I've done so far doesn't go to waste!

Hopefully we can get this sorted out without either of us wasting too much effort! :) Thrownfootfalls (talk) 19:53, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, I’m really sorry, I didn’t realise the new procedure. I’ve been working on it, but it’s totally fine if you put yours on. Really sorry again. JJLiu112 (talk) 20:11, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
No worries! I've done similar things before. As long as we keep each other notified, we should be able to avoid any wasted work. And if I'm ever silent for two weeks after being reminded, it's fair to assume you can take over!
(Speaking of being unfamiliar with procedures – I've no idea if I should clear this section now that it's resolved, or leave it as a record. I'm happy to leave that up to you!) Thrownfootfalls (talk) 13:47, 10 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'm not entirely sure myself. I've been inactive on the project in nearly two years, and it evidently shows...perhaps you could ask an administrator? Thanks for being so understanding. --JJLiu112 (talk) 04:41, 11 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi

edit

Hi, JJLiu112 👋🏻 🙂

I am Gryllida, a reviewer at English Wikinews.

I am seeing that you have been more active here at English Wikipedia than at English Wikinews, where you last edited in July 2023. It saddens me to see you go -- there is a lot of entertaining stories being worked on, where your help would be greatly appreciated.

(If there was something that disappointed you, specifically, please let me know.)

As a version which is more lightweight on time, I would like to invite you to check one page, where reviewers might be collaborating and asking questions. So instead of doing lengthy exhausting reviews and being frustrated by the effort required to get the author to revise the story quickly, you could contribute by sharing advice in situations that are confusing or controversial, which have already been researched and detailed in a question.

There is a Subscribe button at the top right of the n:Wikinews:Water cooler/assistance page. If Notifications are readable for you, could you please click it? Then you will be notified -- including here at English Wikipedia -- of each new added section at that page. (It would help me a lot, as this is the place where I ask for help with my reviewing.)

Thank you in advance for your time reading me, and for your help. Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 20:11, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello: it is true, that I have not directed yourselves very much attention, and I regret very much that my reason for doing so has not changed: I remain unfortunately quite preoccupied with my academics but look forward to contributing more fully in some months. JJLiu112 (talk) 12:09, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi. Sounds understandable. :-)
If you could maybe check the forum linked above once a fortnight it would help a lot. Questions are ready and prepared with no extensive copyediting required, and your insight would be most appreciated.
Let me know if you might need help at English Wikipedia or an academic subject or manuscript.
Regards, -- Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 12:31, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Will do. Thanks very much for your care and attention you've been giving to the project as late. You are a dedicated and passionate member of our community, for which I ame normously grateful. JJLiu112 (talk) 12:33, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sounds great! And thank you. Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 12:43, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Well, I suggested doing mire exclusive interviews. Seems more fun and easier. Maybe next time you read a news story and think of some engaging questions to ask, I would be happy to help. :-) How does this sound? I can do the writeup amd help with editing questions. -- Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 12:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sir Arthur Wheeler, 1st Baronet, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Portrait Gallery. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
