Speedy deletion nomination of Luka Stojanović

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Luka Stojanović, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 16:26, 9 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Bubacar Djaló

edit

Hello Joaommx,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Bubacar Djaló for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Pandemoniumfromamerica, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Billy Boyd. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Futsal Clube Azeméis

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Futsal Clube Azeméis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Please warn vandals

edit

Hi.

Thanks for recently undoing vandalism on List of Eurovision Song Contest winners. In the future, when you undo vandalism, could you please use the appropriate template to warn the user (IP or registered) to stop their behaviour?

There are many different warning templates available to use. Here are some popular ones. Please see their documentation pages for instructions.

Each time we use these warnings they should be placed under the title "==December 2024==" (updated to the current month and year), on the user's talk page. If previous warnings have been given under that title, add the next level warning beneath the others, within that section. Clearly, individual cases must be dealt with as seems fit. If the user has not been actively vandalizing for a few weeks or months, start a new section.

The value of warning is three fold.

  • Firstly: it may be heeded.
  • Secondly: it allows other editors to quickly see if that user has been vandalizing frequently or recently.
  • Lastly: administrators require that warnings have been given before they can or will act against persistent vandals.

If a vandal is on a spree or has reached a level 4 vandalism warning and is currently active, waste no time in reporting them to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism.

Thanks again for helping to protect articles on Wikipedia. Happy editing!  JochemvanHees (talk) 00:03, 2 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Pedro Antunes moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Pedro Antunes, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. The article Afonso Jesus has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. jlwoodwa (talk) 21:33, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hilário (footballer, born 1939)

edit

Good afternoon, my compatriot,

i feel this change of yours (Mr. Hilário's birth month) may be wrong, 99% of the sources/links (including the one i added to box months ago) say it's March not June (as far as i can see, only his FORADEJOGO profile says June). Not going to revert anything, just leaving it to your consideration.

Regards, continue the good work RevampedEditor (talk) 17:22, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi RevampedEditor, so this is a complicated one.
If you notice, every year Sporting CP wishes a happy birthday to Hilário on June 19th on their social networks, instead of March 19th, which as you said is the birthdate that is found almost everywhere:
https://x.com/SportingCP/status/1803400633883504838
https://x.com/SportingCP/status/1538521985969430528
https://x.com/SportingCP/status/611901822568112128
That's a very odd thing to do on Sporting's part. But they should know when is birthday is, right? After all Hilário is a usual guest for most events at Sporting, they maintain regular contact with him.
About a decade ago, Nuno Barradas of WikiSporting, noticed this oddity and contacted Sporting to figure if WikiSporting should be following FPF and everyone else's lead and register the March 19th date, or if they are onto something and his actual birthdate is June 19th. The people at Sporting contacted Hilário to hear from him directly and he confirmed that they were correct in wishing him a happy birthday every year in June, because that's his actual birthdate and not the March date registered everywhere else. Hilário then asked them to share that info around because every year dozens of people call him in March wishing him a happy birthday.
I have no idea how to source the correct information to a Wikipedia standard, because this information is wrong pretty much everywhere. You can check for yourself Sporting social networks, or if you want I can send you a link to Nuno of WikiSporting explaining the situation himself. But none of these are proper sources. The June 19th date is the correct one, but it can't be sourced. So, yeah, that's where we are at.
Do you have any idea of what could be done?
Regards, Joaommx (talk) 23:42, 13 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Good evening! With that information (Sporting wishing him a happy birthday every year on 19 June, and him confirming that date after the club contacted him), i think the discussion is over (it could be a case of him being BORN in March and registered in JUNE, but i don't think that bit of data will take away anything from the present quality of the article, to which i contributed significantly). I'll leave your version be, if/when anyone reverts you we can redirect them to the same info you just showed me (the Twitter feeds).
Abraços, take care! RevampedEditor (talk) 00:02, 14 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
