can u please improve Military of India's Portal?
hi. can u please improve Military of India wikipedia Portal? Actuly if u compare it with something like US military portal, u realize that the Indian one is too childish. Also it is inaccurate coz Indian Coast Guard is not a part of Indian military in reality (see [1]), but it has been listed so in the portal. I wanted to improve this portal myself, but I'm not familiar with the process.Netstar1 (talk) 00:53, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

MBlaze Lightning But I have added credible sources from books also. See the links [[2]] and [[3]]. The source claim that Afghans fought against them. 85.154.171.202 (talk) 12:45, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- @85.154.171.202: Your sources says about 39 Soviet troops fought against 200+ Mujaheedins and this is well mentioned in the article itself! However, some of the sources mentioned in the article also states that the attackers were reportedly wearing black uniforms with chevrons of black, gold and red on their arms and hence suspiciously they were Black Storks (Commando unit of SSG). MBlaze Lightning (talk) 13:30, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
Not some, I have seen the source and it is only one book. However there are numerous books which can counter the claim. Though even ISIS members wear black uniforms. Does that makes them commandos? 85.154.171.202 (talk) 13:51, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
- @85.154.171.202: Doesn't really matter if there is one book or two, what matter is that the source is reliable or not, And the given source is reliable and says about pakistan's involvement! Beside, If you have reliable sources that you think can be added, please provide, i will be happy to add them. MBlaze Lightning (talk) 13:58, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

Indian Army
How many references can be given ? I have already cited Wikipedia articles along with my references for 1st April. For example :- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Indian_Army . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Command_(India) . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Command_(India) .
You have reverted an important edit and that also made on Indian Army Foundation day. Its not fair play ! My identity is not only with Wikipedia, and my identity is important for the Indian Army. My work on the internet is not only restricted to Wikipedia. But Wikipedia is Important. Mamta Jagdish Dhody (talk) 08:54, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, @Mamta Jagdish Dhody:. Sorry for the trouble I've caused you, But I had to revert you, because you didn't provide a reliable source. Sources you cited were non- WP:RS. SSBCrack and etc are considered unreliable sites. Please cite Reliable references for your claims. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial. Thank you. MBlaze Lightning -talk! 09:12, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
Which link is reliable ? Please post- as an army without its foundation day is odd ! http://www.dnaindia.com/pune/report-southern-command-hq-set-to-archive-army-s-glory-1917575 . http://hiall.in/indian-army-jco-admit-card-2016-joinindianarmy/ . http://indianexpress.com/article/cities/pune/this-vijay-diwas-army-salutes-its-martyrs-with-a-dedicated-war-museum/.
http://www.idsa-india.org/an-jul8-1.html . Quote :- Historically too, integration of the top military echelons within the structure of government, characterised higher defence organisation in India 2,000 years ago. The Mauryans had an Empire stretching from Kabul to Kamrup and Kashmir to Karnataka. "According to Megasthanes, the Greek Ambassador in the court of Chandragupta, the Mauryan War Office (with the Functions of the Army and Navy fully coordinated) had all the attributes of a modern organisation."12 In contrast, the Muslim theocratic military regimes established in medieval India, provided the Emperor absolute and unlimited powers without any institutional advisory mechanisms. As for later periods, the British reorganised the 18th Century Presidency Armies into an Indian Army on April 1, 1895. Decision-making systems were evolved to suit the needs of imperial defence until shortly before our independence, when further changes were made to conform to the needs of the new nation.
Mamta Jagdish Dhody (talk) 09:59, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
- @Mamta Jagdish Dhody: You should have cited reliable sources in your first edit instead of adding blog websites and non-WP:RS sources. if you'd like to add citations and re-add the info, please do so. And Bye. MBlaze Lightning -talk! 10:15, 2 April 2016 (UTC)
You reverted my edit and then saved it as your edit on 2nd of April 2016, which by time is actually 1st April only in other parts of the globe like the USA. But the undeniable fact remains that it was my edit in India for the Indian Army on the 1st of April 2016. Thanks. Mamta Jagdish Dhody (talk) 10:39, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Larkana (Sindh, Pakistan)
Hi, can you keep an eye on "Sheriff" whom you recently warned on 'revert-edit war'? He seems to be following what he wants, that is pursuing his pronvicialist agenda. He has been removing stuff from Larkana and then inserting his mother-tongue 'Punjabi language' without citing any source. He reverts and removes sourced stuff, but somehow pushes ahead his selective material without providing any source.
If you have time then please revert Larkana edit-history to that before his biased reverting to that of Indusengineer (that's me). I even left a message at his talk-page and on Larkana's talk-page but he hasn't responded to my questions, as to what made him revert those edits. Thanks my friend! Your email
Hi MBlaze Lightning. I'm sorry, but I can't help. I don't know how well utrs checks email for header changes but perhaps someone with access to that information can help you. I don't have access to that sort of information. Ask a checkuser perhaps?--regentspark (comment) 15:46, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- The first thing UTRS does, regardless of whether a CU needs to be involved, is to verify the user's e-mail address.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:57, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- MBlaze, re your follow up email. Note that per Bbb23 above, as well as based on my understanding of the utrs system, email addresses are verified as being associated with an account. I assume that throwaway emails won't work unless the sender can tamper with the routing information or some such thing and that's unlikely. Again, if you feel that someone is impersonating you, you'll need to contact someone who has access to technical information relating to the email. --regentspark (comment) 18:10, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- @RegentsPark and Bbb23: That's not quite accurate folks. It verifies that it is an existing email address - but it does not compare to to Wikipedia's information about the account. That's going to be in Version 2 that we're already working on. In any case, @DeltaQuad: is on the case.--v/r - TP 06:19, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- As TParis said, it's not able to verify a users email, that would require handling data i'm not comfortable with storing on UTRS. What we do make sure of is that the email is real, and won't waste admins time. Anyway, i've reviewed this, and the IP used is a Tor IP, and the email looks like a throw away, so it definitely looks like this was an impersonation attempt. I've banned them from filling with UTRS using that information at this point. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 07:37, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the clarifications. Since DeltaQuad has removed the UTRS notice, I guess this works for you MBlaze. --regentspark (comment) 10:55, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Islam & Re-incarnation
Although an overwhelming majority of Muslims and Islamic Schools of thought may not have mention of "re-incarnation" in their teachings, it is still true that some(a very small esoteric faction) do, the current phrasing of the paragraph I changed was to permit leeway by putting in weasel words, such that the small minority of Muslims who may have at least to some degree any belief in re-incarnation of souls due to Islamic teaching rather than a vestigial aspect from Hinduism or Buddhism as stated in the article, do not get branded Non-Muslim, or be labelled Heretics by a neutral encyclopedic website like Wikipedia.
As it is right now the article is heavily biased from a Sunni viewpoint. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 116.75.41.49 (talk) 15:45, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
- Your change was reverted as it introduced words such as "major", "most" which are not supported by cited refs that says:
Islam has rejected completely the suggestion that human souls will or could be reincarnated in different bodies for the purpose of improving their previous records of performance
[7],The body of Islam, however, admits of only one life on this earth and insists on the absolute imperative of that life being lived in faith, obedience, and submission
[8]. You need to cite a reliable source that directly supports your statement. — MBlaze Lightning T 17:16, 28 October 2016 (UTC)
MARCOS edit
Hi MBlaze. Thanks for the correction. There was a slight ambiguity in the last statement which is in bold face,
"Generally, the pre-training selection process is made of two parts. Any Indian Navy personnel who wants to join this outfit must first undergo a three-day long, physical fitness test and aptitude test. Within this process, 80% of the application are screened out. Further screening process is known as 'hell's week'. This is actually a five-week-long process which involves high degree of physical exercises and sleep deprivation."
The problem is, people while making statements regarding the Hell Week are stating it to be a five-week program, whereas it should be a five-day program as has been at the BUD/S. If you can edit this paragraph to let people know the exact facts. [1]
