Deletion of Wesley L. McDonald Distinguished Statesman and Stateswoman of Aviation Award

edit

Hello can you share with me why this category was deleted ? Thank you Nayyn (talk) 13:49, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Nayyn; there was a clear consensus at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2024 June 11#Category:Wesley L. McDonald Distinguished Statesman and Stateswoman of Aviation Award that the category should be deleted. Cheers, Queen of Heartstalk 01:09, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Rollback granted

edit

Hi Queen of Hearts. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! DanCherek (talk) 23:53, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Discord

edit

Hey QoH, I went for a bathroom break to find that I accidentally unjoined the Discord (probably, or was kicked, something). Rejoin link does not work. Are you having any similar issues or is it just me? Bremps... 06:49, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Bremps, just you; all works fine for me. Queen of Heartstalk 07:05, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Could you generate a new invite and send it, please? The public one is broken for me. Thanks. Bremps... 07:13, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Bremps: doesn't look like the server lets people generate new invites. I'm off to bed; WT:Discord is probably a better place to ask for help. Cheers, Queen of Heartstalk 07:31, 29 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

WikiCup 2024 July newsletter

edit

The third round of the 2024 WikiCup ended on 28 June. As with Round 2, this round was competitive: each of the 16 contestants who advanced to Round 4 scored at least 256 points.

The following editors all scored more than 400 points in Round 3:

The full scores for round 3 can be seen here. So far this year, competitors have gotten 28 featured articles, 38 featured lists, 240 good articles, 92 in the news credits, and at least 285 did you know credits. They have conducted 279 featured article reviews, as well as 492 good article reviews and peer reviews, and have added 22 articles to featured topics and good topics.

Remember that any content promoted after 28 June but before the start of Round 4 can be claimed during Round 4, which starts on 1 July at 00:00 (UTC). Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether for a good article, featured content, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed.

If you would like to learn more about rules and scoring for the 2024 WikiCup, please see this page. Further questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
