Scope
editThe project's scope includes all subjects predominantly pertaining to human rights, such as:
- types of human rights in all countries or rights violations
- laws and court decisions pertaining to human rights
- individuals or organizations known for human rights advocacy
- recipients of major human rights prizes
- individuals who are subjects of major advocacy by human rights groups, such as Amnesty International-designated prisoners of conscience
- genocides, pogroms, war crimes, police brutality, censorship, and other events widely discussed in a human rights context
- participants in International Criminal Court proceedings
- works enumerating or discussing human rights
To avoid diffusing the project's focus, articles on countries, governments, political parties, and political leaders are generally excluded unless they meet one of the above categories.

- Can we please get to the bottom of Dorothy Dandridge's involvement in the U.S. Civil Rights Era? A rumor has been circulating that she dipped her toe in the pool at the Hotel Last Frontier in Vegas after she performed there for two weeks, but the veracity of this claim is hard to pin down, especially with Snopes saying it may or may not be true.
