edit- Template:COVID-19 pandemic data/Asturias nursing homes medical cases chart: nominated at TfD; notified Asturkian (talk · contribs) 22:55, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused and hasn't been updated in a year.
- Template:Catnav fires: nominated at TfD; notified Vegaswikian (talk · contribs) 22:59, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused.
- Template:Cbnotalk: nominated at TfD; notified Cyberpower678 (talk · contribs) 23:00, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused; no longer an issue as InternetArchiveBot no longer leaves talkpage messages.
- Template:Cites wikimedia: nominated at TfD; notified LightningComplexFire (talk · contribs) 23:01, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused and overly-specific cleanup template.
- Template:Indirect Citation: nominated at TfD; notified वरुण कुमार सिंह (talk · contribs) 23:29, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused and doesn't seem to identify an actual problem - Wikipedia doesn't do disclaimers, and we want secondary sources over primary ones.
- Template:Media intro: nominated at TfD; notified TreveX (talk · contribs) 23:38, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused; duplicates Help:Media as a template unnecessarily.
- Template:NHCensus: nominated at TfD; notified Maggiecattwo (talk · contribs) 23:42, 23 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused since the relevant articles were redirected for being statdumps in January 2021.
- Rod Ponton: nominated at AfD; notified 141.193.118.3 (talk · contribs) 00:10, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable lawyer; WP:BLP1E for a pretty non-notable event.
- 1.1: nominated at RfD; Target: UCI race classifications (notified); notified Severo (talk · contribs) 07:09, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: The thing that 1.1 refers to more often, in my opinion, is 1.1.1.1 (for example, Google search 1.1). I think disambiguation is appropriate here, but given the decent number of incoming links, I'd like to bring it up for discussion first.
- Wikipedia:Brunei highways and roads infobox template: nominated at MfD; notified Aiman abmajid (talk · contribs) 11:09, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Useless project page - created by a long-indeffed editor, no relevant incoming links, just lists a few templates.
- Template:Namespace detect showall/test1: nominated at TfD; notified Gadget850 (talk · contribs) 09:04, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No need to keep a test like this around as a separate template.
- Broken Arrows (film): nominated at AfD; notified 67.127.220.91 (talk · contribs) 18:02, 29 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This doesn't appear to be notable. It doesn't even show up on Metacritic or Rotton Tomatoes (as far as I can tell), and I can't find reviews on blu-ray.com. Nor can I find any other significant coverage of the film in my WP:BEFORE search.
- File:Bloomberg Inaguration.jpg: (log) nominated at FfD; notified Wv235 (talk · contribs) 11:51, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: The file is simply being used for decoration. It's no longer in Government of New York City - and in Mayor of New York City, it could be replaced with an image of any inauguration - it serves no unique educational purpose there.

edit- Template:COVID-19 editnotice: nominated at TfD; notified Sdkb (talk · contribs) 09:22, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused; and at this point probably won't be used. Also doesn't make sense to have a general edit notice like this - annoys people using VE especially and contributes to banner blindness.
- Template:German federal election, 1949: nominated at TfD; notified Ännu mindre (talk · contribs) 00:41, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused - slightly different version with the same information is directly subst in 1949 West German federal election.
- Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/WeWork: nominated at RfD; Target: WeWork (notified); notified Anne Delong (talk · contribs) 05:15, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unnecessary after histmerge.
- Template:HBO: nominated at TfD; notified Tvtonightokc (talk · contribs) 14:46, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused navigational template - and somewhat redundant to others that exist such as {{WarnerMedia Studios & Networks}} and {{HBONetwork Shows}}. Should either be used or deleted.
- Template:Handball Championship Bosnia and Herzegovina: nominated at TfD; notified HarisM (talk · contribs) 14:56, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused, not clear where this would be useful.
- Template:WikiProject Hentai: nominated at RfD; Target: Template:WikiProject Anime and manga (notified); notified ChrisGualtieri (talk · contribs) 15:09, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused - should either be made a wrapper template (which would automatically add the page to the Hentai task force) or deleted. As of now, this doesn't adequately tag pages. Given that it hasn't been used, I don't think converting it to a wrapper would be particularly beneficial over deletion.
- Template:What ?: nominated at RfD; Target: Template:Clarify (notified); notified Nnemo (talk · contribs) 15:11, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused; unlikely shortcut.
- Template:What does this refer to?: nominated at RfD; Target: Template:Clarify (notified); notified Jarble (talk · contribs) 15:11, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused, not a particularly useful "shortcut" or alternative name.
- Template:Medical condition classification and resources - horizontal test: nominated at RfD; Target: User:Bluerasberry/Medical condition classification and resources - horizontal test-2 (notified); notified Bluerasberry (talk · contribs) 18:58, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Bad XNR from a move; no transclusions.
- Origin of the name " Windy City": nominated at RfD; Target: Windy City (nickname) (notified); notified Burwellian (talk · contribs) 20:37, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unlikely misspelling (a space after a quote).
- Upper Peninsula of Michigan: nominated at RM; New name: Upper Peninsula 02:29, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No disambiguation necessary, most people just call it the "Upper Peninsula" so I think COMMONNAME applies also.
- Calhoun: nominated at RM; New name: Calhoun (disambiguation) 23:52, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: John C. Calhoun is the clear primary topic for "Calhoun" - pretty much every place here is named after him, and it's not like any of them have become that significant in their own right (for what it's worth, Calhoun gets about ten views per day, John C. Calhoun about 1000, and Calhoun, Georgia, the most populous city actually named Calhoun here - only about 100). It's very likely anyone arriving here is looking for information on John C. Calhoun.
- Help:View source: nominated at MfD; notified Andyphan25 (talk · contribs) 22:38, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This help page doesn't make a lot of sense about what it discusses, and what sense it does make tends to just duplicate pages elsewhere. I don't see how this page is beneficial.
- Template:Nations at 2022 Mediterranean Games: nominated at TfD; notified Hichem algerino (talk · contribs) 20:10, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No point to having the template given that all of the links are red and this event hasn't happened yet. Can be recreated once the articles exist.
- Template:Microsoft Windows operating systems: nominated at TfD; notified Specialtomato93 (talk · contribs) 20:17, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Redundant to the broader {{Microsoft Windows family}}.
- Category:Ukraine political party colours templates: nominated at CfDS (C2C); New name: Category:Ukraine political party colour templates 20:20, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Consistency with the rest of Category:Europe political party colour templates.
- Template:Cleanup category: nominated at TfD; notified Happy-melon (talk · contribs) 22:48, 20 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not widely used, most cleanup categories use {{Maintenance category}}, which this should probably be redirected to (and then duplicate transclusions fixed).
- Template:OCD MP: nominated at TfD; notified Benlittlewiki (talk · contribs) 13:18, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unnecessary to have a template to save a couple of words of text. Should be substituted and deleted.
- Template:West Balikpapan: nominated at TfD; notified Hinorisakamachi (talk · contribs) 13:22, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful - articles for the subdistricts do not exist.
- Template:K-Love Fan Awards: nominated at TfD; notified Yard105 (talk · contribs) 13:31, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not currently useful - every link redirects to the same article.
- Template:Infobox 2012 Villaggio Mall fire: nominated at TfD; notified Zsukiman (talk · contribs) 18:03, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No need for a separate template, should be substituted and deleted.
- Template:Text: This Account has been inactive for a long time, the user maybe stoped using the account: nominated at TfD; notified Telare86424-7976 (talk · contribs) 18:11, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful or used. We already have {{Not around}}.
- Angie Zapata: nominated at RM; New name: Murder of Angie Zapata 00:21, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: WP:BIO1E - makes more sense to have an article on the event than the person, as we do in other similar situations (see Murder of Gwen Araujo).
- Template:Culture of Christmas Island: nominated at TfD; notified Poorman king (talk · contribs) 17:38, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful, only links to three pages (with a lot of links to redirects to sections). This implies a full series which sadly does not exist.
- Template:Culture of the Cook Islands: nominated at TfD; notified Poorman king (talk · contribs) 17:39, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful, only links to three pages. This implies a full series which sadly does not exist.
- Template:Culture of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands: nominated at TfD; notified Poorman king (talk · contribs) 17:40, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful, only links to two pages. This implies a full series which sadly does not exist.
- Template:Culture of the Pitcairn Islands: nominated at TfD; notified Poorman king (talk · contribs) 17:41, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful, only links to two pages. This implies a full series which sadly does not exist.
- Template:Culture of the Northern Mariana Islands: nominated at TfD; notified Poorman king (talk · contribs) 17:42, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful, only links to two pages. This implies a full series which sadly does not exist.
- Category:Latvian political party shortname templates: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Latvia political party shortname templates; notified Spiderjerky (talk · contribs) 17:44, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Same topic, overall naming scheme just uses the country, not the demonym.
- Category:Anti-Taliban users: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Ruwaym (talk · contribs) 22:04, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Inappropriate user category. While the Taliban are pretty universally considered bad, this does not improve the editing environment.
- Template:Infobox Pornstar: nominated at TfD; notified ShotInTheDarkMC (talk · contribs) 23:39, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not a working template - and even if it was, it should not exist independently from {{Infobox person}} (note the previous merge of {{Infobox adult biography}} at TfD).
- Template:Infobox streamer: nominated at TfD; notified ShotInTheDarkMC (talk · contribs) 23:41, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Doesn't work; even if it did, not necessary to have a separate template from {{Infobox person}} (for example see Ninja (gamer), where the normal infobox is sufficient).
- Template:Spotify Greenroom: nominated at TfD; notified Anoopspeaks (talk · contribs) 18:09, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No reason for this at basename - {{Latest stable software release/Spotify Greenroom}} is the proper location (which also exists, so this needs to be deleted, not moved). {{Spotify Greenroom}}, if it existed, should be a navigation template for the software, not its latest version.
- Template:Country data New Zealand Cricket Team: nominated at TfD; notified Anudip Ghosh (talk · contribs) 18:42, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Flag is non-free and should therefore not be used simply for decoration. Also this just doesn't make sense - "New Zealand Cricket Team" is not in any way a governmental jurisdiction.
- Template:List of prisons in Rajasthan: nominated at TfD; notified HariSinghw (talk · contribs) 18:43, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not a useful navigation template - basically just duplicates List of prisons in Rajasthan.
- Template:Campaignbox Early Korean Expansions: nominated at TfD; notified 아나코공산주의자 (talk · contribs) 04:45, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No transclusions and every single link in this is red.
- Template:Cities in the United States by population Footer: nominated at TfD; notified Zaheen (talk · contribs) 19:21, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: I don't think this is a useful navigation template - this is an excessive listing of cities that hardly anyone will use to navigate between articles. Most if not all of the articles here would not benefit from having the template added.
- Template:Baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics group tables: nominated at TfD; notified Deancarmeli (talk · contribs) 20:05, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No transclusions or content - see template history. Was created then substituted and blanked by another editor.
July 2021
edit- Template:Moderate-use: nominated at TfD; notified HappyMeal189 (talk · contribs) 01:16, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused (was previously only used at {{High-use/doc}} for some reason). This isn't helpful - {{High-use}} is sufficient.
- Andrew Janz: nominated at RfD; Target: 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in California (notified); notified Muboshgu (talk · contribs) 21:07, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This person also was a major-party candidate in the 2020 Fresno mayoral election - not sure if this should exist as a redirect, or if so, which is a better target.
- Template:Infobox scientist biography: nominated at RfD; Target: Template:Infobox scientist (notified); notified আশরাফুজ্জামান (সুজন) (talk · contribs) 03:10, 4 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Note: I redirected this as it originally transcluded the template with no arguments, so I figured it was an attempt at a redirect.I don't think this is a useful redirect, though. The name would imply an Infobox for books that are biographies of scientists, but that is an overly specific usecase that would never exist - and redirecting to {{Infobox book}} wouldn't make sense. Not used so no reason to keep.
- Template:Infobox artist1: nominated at TfD; notified Abhilasha Will (talk · contribs) 15:21, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused, no reason for a separate infobox from {{infobox artist}}. Testing should go in the template sandbox, not another template entirely.
- Category:Legislative Districts in the Maryland House of Delegates: nominated at CfDS (C2C); New name: Category:Maryland House of Delegates districts 20:50, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Consistency with others in Category:State legislative districts of the United States
- New Hampshire Senate: nominated at RM; New name: New Hampshire State Senate 20:56, 8 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Looks to be officially the "New Hampshire State Senate", for example the term is used on their website.
- Notepad (software): nominated at RfD; Target: Notepad (disambiguation) (notified); notified Cuchullain (talk · contribs) 01:05, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Clear primary topic of "Notepad", referring to software, is Microsoft Notepad. Propose retargeting. Notepad+ and Notepad++ are already, well, named differently. Text editors are only referred to as "notepad" because of Microsoft Notepad, following that, Microsoft Notepad is clearly primary.
- Template:Prithviraj Chavan series: nominated at TfD; notified TerminatorMan2712 (talk · contribs) 20:09, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not a useful "series" templates - most of the links directly related to him are simply to sections in his article.
- Template:Mamata Banerjee series: nominated at TfD; notified TerminatorMan2712 (talk · contribs) 20:09, 9 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not a useful "series" templates - most of the links directly related to him are simply to sections in his article.
- 2021 Western North America heat wave: nominated at RM; New name: 2021 Pacific Northwest heat wave 02:08, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: The region affected was the Pacific Northwest. As previously mentioned on this talkpage, the current title is overly broad. "Pacific Northwest" is clearly used in sources: Washington Post, The New York Times, Associated Press.
- Template:Labour Party (UK)/meta/color/temp: nominated at TfD; notified FlyGonDjinn (talk · contribs) 19:21, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unused and not linked anywhere. No longer appears useful for whatever it was used for.
- 🥺: nominated at RfD; Target: Pleading (notified); notified Koavf (talk · contribs) 23:07, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Given the actual usage of this emoji, while the name is "pleading face", I don't think it makes sense to redirect to the legal concept. Not sure where the best target is, though.
- Draft:Yahoo! (Company): nominated at MfD; notified 122.167.43.56 (talk · contribs) 13:35, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Copied from Yahoo!, no reason for a copy in draftspace. This also isn't a plausible redirect (bad disambiguation), so I think full deletion makes sense.
- List of 2020 Summer Olympics medal winners: nominated at RfD; Target: 2020 Summer Olympics (notified); notified Another Believer (talk · contribs) 17:18, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful as a redirect. This provides no useful information sought based off of the title. Should be deleted to encourage article creation, or at very least to prevent misleading those who might follow a link to this.
- DID: nominated at RM; New name: DID (disambiguation) 06:07, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: See above on this talkpage, Dissociative identity disorder is a clear primary topic for a primary redirect.
August 2021
edit- Twinkle Khanna Filmography: nominated at RfD; Target: Twinkle Khanna (notified); notified Minorax (talk · contribs) 06:32, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unlikely "alternative case" redirect. Doesn't help navigation as this type of title would not be expected to be in title case.
- Jessica Cisneros: nominated at RfD; Target: 2020 United States House of Representatives elections in Texas (notified); notified Muboshgu (talk · contribs) 04:13, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Also running in 2022, so there isn't a clear target for this redirect.
- Template:Infobox biography: nominated at RfD; Target: Template:Infobox person (notified); notified Halibutt (talk · contribs) 04:20, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Inaccurate name for the current target. This is currently used on our articles about people, not our articles about biographies. Propose replacing existing uses and deleting, as this would likely get some accidental use if targeting something like {{Infobox book}}.
- Get Lucky (The Lascivious Biddies album): nominated at AfD; notified Fanficgurl (talk · contribs) 02:54, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Appears non-notable, couldn't find reviews to establish notability.
- I didn't inhale: nominated at RfD; Target: Bill Clinton (notified); notified Kjell Knudde (talk · contribs) 00:58, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not mentioned at target. Probably not useful as a redirect anyway, given that someone searching this up would presumably know it was Bill Clinton who said it - and someone who didn't wouldn't be well-served as currently there is no context as to why this redirects there.
- Draft:Common cattle: nominated at RfD; Target: Cattle (notified); notified Isuzu.tf (talk · contribs) 21:03, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Useless redirect that doesn't serve navigation created by a now-globally locked LTA.
- African girl Abbie Yola: nominated at RfD; Target: Body (Russ Millions and Tion Wayne song) (notified); notified 53zodiac (talk · contribs) 21:11, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not mentioned at target. Maybe a song lyric, but doesn't seem to be a particularly noteworthy one (searching the phrase leads to lots of unrelated things).
- Template:Public high school: nominated at TfD; notified TheGEICOgecko (talk · contribs) 20:00, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Adding these links to an article manually isn't a huge burden on editors, and makes article prose more maintainable than a template. Should be substituted and deleted (or if this is really needed as a shortcut, made subst-only).
- Baltimore Career Academy: nominated at AfD; notified Thx2005 (talk · contribs) 04:48, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No indication of notability. All references are to the school or larger school system's website. WP:BEFORE search fails to turn up significant coverage of the school itself.
- Itak Ekim: nominated at AfD; notified Joe Bassey (talk · contribs) 16:41, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Other than the offline source (which does not have a page number listed for verifiability, nor can it be easily accessed), the citypopulation.de source doesn't list the village at all, and https://townsvillages.com/ng/okobo/ only lists the village's name with no other information. This is not sufficient to pass WP:GEOLAND.
- Template:Citation-attribution: nominated at TfD; notified PBS (talk · contribs) 19:42, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Suboptimal and redundant to two other templates, due to ambiguous usage. Looking through transclusions I've found two types of uses. The first, like at Salton Sea, would be clearer using {{PD-notice}}. The second, like at Order of the Red Banner, is redundant to {{Source-attribution}}. The wording of this template isn't clearer in either context than that of the templates it's redundant to.I propose that transclusions of {{Citation-attribution}} be manually replaced with either {{PD-notice}} or {{Source attribution}} depending on their location in the article, then the template either redirected to {{PD-notice}} or deleted. As there are only around ~450 transclusions, I'd be willing to take on this task, but I'd like to get consensus to do so first.
September 2021
edit- Wikipedia:General disclaimer/sandbox: nominated at MfD; notified JsfasdF252 (talk · contribs) 16:50, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Pointless sandbox for a page that doesn't need any significant edits. Was created by a user who is now topic-banned from project-space and has never been touched by anyone else.
- Template:Infobox struttura militare: nominated at TfD; notified UniRoero (talk · contribs) 03:11, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not sure if this is really necessary to take to TfD, but better safe than sorry. Page was created blank but seemingly meant as a redirect to {{Template:Infobox military installation}}, but it doesn't make sense there as it's from a foreign language not particularly associated with the concept of a military installation (so fails WP:RFOREIGN). Would've taken to RfD if this was actually a redirect, but feels wrong to edit a page only to be able nominate it for deletion via a different venue.
- Template:Hurricane Ida series: nominated at TfD; notified HurricaneEdgar (talk · contribs) 05:27, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Useless navbox. There are only two links to articles here - Hurricane Ida and Hurricane Ida tornado outbreak and only two other relevant links - Category:Hurricane Ida (which isn't really useful as it simply contains the two articles already linked, plus this navbox) and c:Category:Hurricane Ida (2021). This isn't sufficient for the navigational template to be useful to readers.
- Superboy and the Legion: nominated at AfD; notified ABCxyz (talk · contribs) 07:51, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Story arc of a comic book series, no clear real-world notability. The article's "references" are all to comic books - no secondary sourcing. My attempts to find sourcing for this only found sourcing for the similarly-named Legion of Super-Heroes.
- Russell Crossing, Maine: nominated at AfD; notified Spokane Ball yt (talk · contribs) 09:27, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Re-created after October 2020 PROD - per that PROD (not by me): "Road crossing, not community. Notability not established with substantive sources: Results in newspapers.com are about a road crossing landmark, not community".My own WP:BEFORE search echos this, I can't find any info on a populated place named "Russell Crossing" in Maine - I can find some database listings, but without a population. Looking at this on Google maps (with satellite view) doesn't show a community either - just looks like a road crossing. Unless actual coverage can be found, I don't think this passes WP:GEOLAND.
- List of British gallantry awards for the War in Afghanistan List of British gallantry awards for the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021): nominated at RfD; Target: List of British gallantry awards for the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021) (notified); notified Brandmeister (talk · contribs) 04:29, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Implausible typo created by a page move - but as the article was only at this title for about a week, I don't think deletion would be too harmful here.
- Kim Kwang Suk (Singer): nominated at RfD; Target: Kim Kwang Suk (notified); notified Tomukatsusu (talk · contribs) 04:54, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Per WP:COSTLY, no need for a redirect from an uppercase disambiguation qualifier. No article ever existed at this title, so no risk of breaking incoming links.
- Help:To Learn language with Wikipedia: nominated at MfD; notified Dušan Kreheľ (talk · contribs) 16:39, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not comprehensive or useful as a help page.
- Park Street District (Columbus, Ohio): nominated at AfD; notified Jimison.5 (talk · contribs) 02:24, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Procedural nomination per discussion at RfD: "The article [stands] almost entirely as an advertisement for unnotable businesses there, and none of the references define the subject - the 'district' doesn't actually exist as far as I can tell from references and other reading." (per Ɱ). I'm neutral on whether the article should be deleted, but it seems clear a discussion should be held.
- Anna Blue: nominated at AfD; notified Cobaalt (talk · contribs) 07:14, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No third-party sources in article, and a WP:BEFORE search didn't find any either.
- Poser: nominated at RM; New name: Poser (software) 22:33, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not a clear primary topic over Poseur, Posers, and the recently released film Poser (film).
- Draft:2032 United States presidential election: nominated at MfD; notified Justknowthatyourenotinthisthingalong (talk · contribs) 17:26, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unnecessary this early on. previous discussions have considered even 2028 premature, so 2032 is certainly premature.
- Wikipedia:半保護の方針: nominated at RfD; Target: ja:Wikipedia:半保護の方針 (notified); notified RYOUMA1117 (talk · contribs) 23:05, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful. There's no reason to redirect to a jawiki policy, and if we were to retarget this internally it would be to Wikipedia:Protection policy - but we generally don't have redirects in project-space from other languages per WP:RFOREIGN.
- Ikot Okokon: nominated at AfD; notified Joe Bassey (talk · contribs) 23:32, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: De-prodded by Clarityfiend with the reasoning "more than enough official government sources for WP:GEOLAND". However, all the sources are simply database entries that do not even list the place's population. While there is a general presumption of notability in GEOLAND - that presumption can be rebutted. This village and others like it is not notable - we don't have population statistics or any information about the village other than the local government area it is located in (also, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Itak Ekim, a previous AfD I filed for a similar village, leading to its deletion, as these are not notable places).
- Fuck Joe Biden: nominated at AfD; notified Whoisjohngalt (talk · contribs) 05:20, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This is a political protest slogan that isn't notable. Some people said "Fuck Joe Biden" at college football games and that's been of course covered by conservative press, there's no long-term significance here or in-depth coverage of the phrase itself.

- Constance (disambiguation): nominated at RM; New name: Constance 17:49, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

- Ventoura (marketplace): nominated at AfD; notified JIP (talk · contribs) 07:03, 10 October 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable. Background info: this was split from Ventoura which was deleted at AfD (from what I can tell some sort of Frankenstein article?), but I can't find enough significant coverage for this to be considered notable.
- Margaret Adamson: nominated at AfD; notified BostonMensa (talk · contribs) 18:38, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Per the previous deletion discussion, but re-nominating since this contains new sources compared to the article six years ago, making WP:G4 iffy at best. The sources currently in an article are an interview and a biography published by a university, neither of which satisfy "significant coverage in reliable, independent sources".
- Zero tolerance (schools): nominated at RM; New name: Zero tolerance policies in schools 14:58, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

Topic notability for county roads, regional roads (such as Ireland's regional roads), local roads, streets and motorway service areas may vary, and are presumed to be notable if they have been the subject of multiple published secondary sources which contain significant coverage and are reliable and independent of the subject.
While it does appear that this is somewhat of an important road in the area, I can't find sufficient sourcing for it to be considered notable, but as I do not have intimate knowledge of Pakistani sources, I'd like to take this to a broader discussion.

- Battle for Dream Island: nominated at AfD 06:46, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Insufficient significant coverage in reliable, independent sources. None of the sources cited in the article appear to constitute sufficient coverage for notability and I cannot find such sources after doing a search either. Cary Huang might be notable, though I'm not sure, but I doubt that this series is.
- Robert W. Malone: nominated at RM; New name: Robert Malone 05:10, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: A previous discussion (permalink) established that Robert Malone (American football) is not the primary topic for Robert Malone, but didn't establish any consensus to whether the virologist is the primary topic. Given how many pageviews this gets vs the football player, I think it's quite clear that he's the virologist is the primary topic, and disambiguation would be best done with a hatnote on his page (and therefore the disambiguation page currently at Robert Malone would be deleted for the move to be carried out). Also noting that Robert W. Malone is frequently referred to his name as just "Robert Malone", far more often than as "Robert W. Malone", so if it's determined that he isn't the primary topic here, I think the title should still be moved away from using his middle initial as the disambiguator and to something else (such as Robert Malone (virologist)).

edit- Birthing person: nominated at RfD; Target: Mother (notified); notified StAnselm (talk · contribs) 04:00, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Not mentioned at target. This term has generally been used as a more inclusive alternative to "mother", and given its current usage, someone who searches it is likely curious about that initiative and not simply looking for information on mothers. It seems like this might be about a lockdown, but the sources don't seem clear about making this a separate topic from the overall pandemic in the area, which would make the existence of this page not in line with hot it's covered (effectively WP:SYNTH).

- Reason: Promotional article about a non-notable person. While there are many, sources in the article, none of them are in-depth, reliable, independent coverage of the subject (most cover the company he manages, but of those, most appear to be unreliable).
- Theater Ida: nominated at AfD; notified Magaxian (talk · contribs) 18:40, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: No evidence of notability; neither of the cited sources directly relate to or mention the subject and WP:BEFORE didn't turn up sufficient sourcing either.
- Wikipedia’s Wikipedia article: nominated at RfD; Target: Wikipedia (notified); notified Screendeemer (talk · contribs) 10:42, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Not a plausible redirect given the use of a curly quote; no user would actually type this so it's not useful as a potential search term. The previous RfD did not consider the use of a curly quote.
- Attempted assassination of Nancy Pelosi: nominated at RM; New name: Assault of Paul Pelosi 19:52, 28 October 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: We don't have enough details to be sure that this was an attempted assassination of Nancy; most coverage focuses on what actually happens, which was an assault on Paul Pelosi.

edit- Category:Open seats in the 2022 United States Senate elections: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified CmdrDan (talk · contribs) 21:23, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Unnecessary sub-categorization; we don't have this for any previous years.
- Laurel Lee (politician): nominated at RM (technical); New name: Laurel Lee 05:25, 15 November 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Obvious primary topic; disambiguation page that is currently at Laurel Lee needs to be deleted to make way for the move.
- Joe O'Dea: nominated at AfD; notified N2e (talk · contribs) 00:27, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Only notable for being a failed candidate in the 2022 United States Senate election in Colorado; there is no significant coverage of him outside of the context of that election.
- 2022 Wisconsin Treasurer elections: nominated at RfD; Target: 2022 Wisconsin elections (notified); notified SecretName101 (talk · contribs) 08:58, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Only one state treasurer election held in Wisconsin this year, so the plural is inaccurate and not a useful redirect to keep around.
January 2023
edit- Ron Johnson (Wisconsin politician): nominated at RM; New name: Ron Johnson 03:01, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: While there are many people named Ron Johnson listed on the disambiguation page, the Wisconsin politician is a clear primary topic. 90% of clicks from the disambiguation go to his article and he easily gets more pageviews than all other people with the name. There also isn't a strong argument for anyone else preventing him from being the primary topic due to long-term significance. The Wisconsin politician is a three-term member of the U.S. Senate; no one else listed on the disambiguation page has done anything nearly as prominent.
- Category:Mississippi state consititutional officer elections: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified SecretName101 (talk · contribs) 01:12, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Misspelling; correctly spelled category is Category:Mississippi state constitutional officer elections (all pages have been moved to the correct spelling).
February 2023
edit- Adam Frisch: nominated at AfD; notified Greshthegreat (talk · contribs) 00:22, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Only notability is as an unsuccessful candidate for office (and that is what all the media coverage of him focuses on); should be redirected to 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in Colorado#District 3 (I did this and got reverted by Stopasianhate, so I am taking this to AfD).
- Stephanie Trussell: nominated at AfD; notified DailyJew (talk · contribs) 21:14, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Almost all coverage is in the context of their failed run for Illinois lieutenant governor; not notable outside of that so should be redirected to 2022 Illinois gubernatorial election with any relevant details merged.
- Texas Primary: nominated at AfD; notified Kencf0618 (talk · contribs) 06:45, 25 February 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This is not a useful disambiguation page, nor is there a useful article for this to redirect to.Some states (such as New Hampshire) have notable presidential primaries referred to as "STATE primary", while some others (such as California and Louisiana) have unique primary systems for state elections referred to as "STATE primary". Neither of those apply here. While Texas has held plenty of presidential primaries, people don't really talk about "the Texas primary" as its own thing. Texas also uses a normal system for statewide primaries that is not unique, so we don't have much coverage of that on Wikipedia either. Therefore, there's no real primary topic for this term, and no useful articles to disambiguate between, so this page should be deleted.
March 2023
edit- Victoria (Australia): nominated at RM; New name: Victoria (state) 09:09, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This RM requires a bit of background. This page has long been titled "Victoria (Australia)" and has gone through eight RMs, most recently with an attempt to rename to "Victoria, Australia" in 2021. That RM was closed without consensus, but with the note that there might be "Victoria (state)" might be able to gain consensus as a title."Victoria (state)" is a better title title for this article compared to the current "Victoria (Australia)". This lines up with how we treat other states of other countries, such as states in the US (e.g. Washington (state)). There are no other states with the name Victoria, so the proposed title is both unambiguous and clearer to readers as to the topic of the article.
April 2023
edit- Brandon Johnson (politician): nominated at RM; New name: Brandon Johnson 09:38, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: No one else listed at the disambiguation page Brandon Johnson is anywhere near the pageviews or long-term notability as the (soon to be) mayor of the U.S.'s second-largest city.
August 2023
edit- Prosecution of Donald Trump in New York: nominated at RM; New name: New York prosecution of Donald Trump 21:27, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: More concise and consistent with Federal prosecution of Donald Trump. Using two different naming formats for these articles doesn't make sense. Would also support a move to People v. Trump, but it appears that would not get consensus here.
- Spring Creek (Harris County, Texas): nominated at RM 01:44, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This isn't entirely in Harris County, Texas. It serves as the border between Harris and Montgomery, so Montgomery has similar claim to the creek. The start of the creek is also in Waller County. Not sure what to title this, though, as there is another Spring Creek in Texas.
- Hobbs, New Mexico party shooting: nominated at AfD; notified Cyanidethistles (talk · contribs) 21:46, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Only WP:ROUTINE coverage of this crime; nothing particularly notable about this shooting.
- 2021 Colorado Springs shooting: nominated at AfD; notified Fixer88 (talk · contribs) 00:10, 30 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable shooting: while there was a large amount of coverage at the time, there is basically nothing to meet WP:SUSTAINED. No lasting WP:EFFECT; unfortunately, shootings of this nature are not particularly rare or notable in the United States.
September 2023
edit- 2021 Muskogee shooting: nominated at AfD; notified Nirvanaoreilly (talk · contribs) 01:10, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable shooting; got a burst of coverage at the time but the only sources since are routine coverage of the court proceedings that do not meet WP:SUSTAINED. No lasting WP:EFFECTs.
October 2023
edit- Diego García-Borreguero: nominated at AfD; notified Drefdry (talk · contribs) 09:06, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Procedural nomination; this was blanked by Xapagado with an edit summary implying the subject wants this deleted.
- McNamara: nominated at RfD; Target: MacNamara (notified); notified Rí Lughaid (talk · contribs) 03:40, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: I doubt the family is really the primary topic for this surname, given the numerous other people who share it. Would prefer a disambiguation page.
- 2006 Norfolk County municipal election: nominated at AfD; notified GVnayR (talk · contribs) 04:12, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This is a non-notable local election in a municipality with under 100k people. Since the previous AfD in 2006, our notability standards around this sort of topic have gotten much stricter.
- Beverly Miles: nominated at AfD; notified Mpfeiffer4 (talk · contribs) 21:36, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This is a WP:BLP1E and should be redirected to 2022 Illinois gubernatorial election; a previous BLAR by Onel5969 was reverted. No apparent notability and coverage outside of her unsuccessful candidacy in the Democratic primary.
November 2023
edit- 2023 Middle East wars: nominated at AfD; notified Mindthem (talk · contribs) 17:24, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This article duplicates the content and scope of 2023 Israel–Hamas war. The vast majority of the content here relates solely to that attack, and American military bases getting attacked does not qualify as a "war". Sources do not generally treat these as one broader concept, either, so this arguably violates WP:SYNTH by implying a relationship not supported by sources.
- 2023 American–Middle East conflict: nominated at RM; New name: 2023 Al-Asad air base attack 17:26, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This article only covers the air base attack and the United States's response to it, so naming it in a much broader way is unhelpful to our readers. If this does escalate into a broader conflict, then we should have articles on both the air base attack and the broader conflict (but as this has not happened yet, we should move this article in the meantime).
- John J. Burzichelli: nominated at RM; New name: John Burzichelli 21:41, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
January 2024
edit- Purges in Turkey (2016–present): nominated at RM; New name: Purges in Turkey following the 2016 Turkish coup attempt 19:35, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Unlikely to ever get a definitive "end" to these purges; renaming at least clarifies the scope. Would also be fine with something like "Purges in Turkey of the Gülen movement".
- Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip: nominated at RfD; Target: 2023 Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip (notified); notified ElijahPepe (talk · contribs) 15:21, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Israel also invaded the Gaza Strip as part of the Six-Day War, the Gaza War (2008–2009), and the 2014 Gaza War. Should be disambiguated.
February 2024
edit- Sandy Grigsby: nominated at AfD; notified Ufoshowlloao (talk · contribs) 19:40, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Sources here don't establish notability. Most sources present aren't reliable or independent, and those that are do not provide significant coverage:* LA Times only features one of her photos, no coverage on her* The Mercury News is just an interview and more about a website she launched than her* The Citizen is just a passing mention* The Guardian is also just a passing mention
March 2024
edit- Category:2018–2023 Haitian crisis: nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:Haitian crisis (2018–present) 05:16, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Crisis remains ongoing.
- Don Carter Lanes shooting: nominated at AfD; notified Leaky.Solar (talk · contribs) 05:44, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable crime. After the immediate burst of coverage following the event, there has not been WP:SUSTAINED coverage sufficient for notability (only a few local sources, mostly about the trial; this is typical for most crimes and does not indicate notability).
April 2024
edit- 2023 Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip: nominated at RM; New name: Blockade of the Gaza Strip during the Israel–Hamas war 16:17, 11 April 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This isn't a separate blockade from the general Blockade of the Gaza Strip, nor is it limited to 2023. This article covers the blockade during the war (and particularly, its escalation); the title should reflect that.
- Alec "Smartalec" Baldwin: nominated at RfD; Target: Alec Baldwin (notified); notified Winnebaggo (talk · contribs) 02:08, 12 April 2024 (UTC)
- Helicopter dick: nominated at RfD; Target: Helicopter deck (notified); notified Jax 0677 (talk · contribs) 23:39, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Not sure this is a plausible typo (or what people would expect when searching this term, so it's worse than having nothing). Previously was discussed (and deleted) at RfD and no one suggested this target.
- First Gulf War: nominated at RfD; Target: Gulf War (notified); notified Conversion script (talk · contribs) 17:32, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This term is potentially ambiguous; both the Iran–Iraq War and the Gulf War are sometimes known by the term "First Gulf War".
May 2024
edit- Boston Incident: nominated at RfD; Target: Boston Massacre (notified); notified Rmhermen (talk · contribs) 02:43, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This isn't commonly referred to as "Boston incident"; searching the term finds little about the massacre compared to other incidents (such as the 2007 Boston Mooninite panic). In the cases where the massacre is referred to with this term, it's only in a descriptive fashion and not as an actual name. Redirect was created by a quickly-reverted WP:POINTy page move in 2006.
July 2024
edit- 2024 Yemeni drone attack on Israel: nominated at RM; New name: 2024 Houthi drone attack on Israel 14:47, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Not accurate to call this a "Yemeni drone attack" when it wasn't conducted by Yemen's internationally-recognized government. We don't treat other attacks in such a manner; for example, we don't call Hezbollah's missiles "Lebanese attacks". This doesn't need to be consistent with 2024 Israeli strikes on Yemen, because those strikes were conducted on Yemen's internationally-recognized territory (even though said territory is currently under Houthi control).
October 2024
edit- 2022 Chicago school shooting: nominated at AfD; notified Albanianrapper (talk · contribs) 21:05, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable school shooting. Only follow-up coverage is WP:ROUTINE coverage of the trial (e.g. [6]) which is insufficient to demonstrate lasting notability.
- Category:Geography of the Republic of Hawaii: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Geapply (talk · contribs) 16:44, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: Not useful for navigation, and its current entries don't actually belong in the category, since they're about the current state of Hawaii. If we had articles particularly focusing on the Republic of Hawaii's geography (such as its administrative subdivisions) this might be useful... but we don't.
