Use of DISPLAYTITLE
Hello. Please note that the use of DISPLAYTITLE can only be used to make minor changes to the way a page title is displayed at the top of its page, such as changing an initial letter to lower case, adding initial colons, changing spaces to underscores, adding a space after a namespace prefix, and adding formatting (italics, bolding, superscripts, subscripts, etc.). It cannot be used to display something that is longer than the current page title. In other words, your additions of {{DISPLAYTITLE:ABC World News Tonight with David Muir}}
to the ABC World News Tonight article has no effect.
Please see Wikipedia:Page name#Changing the displayed title for more information. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (talk) 05:40, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- And in case you are wondering, the article title is using the shorter, concise "ABC World News Tonight", primarily because the page also includes information on the weekend editions. Muir does not anchor the program on Saturdays and Sundays anymore, nor is the "with David Muir" phrase used on those days. Likewise, articles here are titled CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News, not "CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley" and "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams". Thanks. Speedy deletion nomination of Rogue Valley Manor
Hello CookieMonster755,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rogue Valley Manor for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Trivialist (talk) 04:11, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
@Trivialist: Thank you for your message! CookieMonster755 (talk) 04:21, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
Hatnotes
Hi Cookie Monster! I wanted to let you know that I undid your addition of a hatnote to the World Trade Center article. We usually use hatnotes to help out readers who may have accidentally reached the wrong article via a search or if there are confusing article titles; in this case, a search for "twin towers" will lead to the Twin Towers page so adding another note to the World Trade Center article isn't necessary. You can read more about when to use hatnotes here. Crunch crunch, Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 00:47, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:TheWomanTheDragonAndTheEagleBookCover.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:TheWomanTheDragonAndTheEagleBookCover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:16, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
@Stefan2: the article that the image belonged in was deleted because it was not notably enough. I think the image should be deleted, because its not be used anymore. Thank you for your message! CookieMonster755 (Talk) 02:33, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
RfA
I've reverted your change to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Recent: that's not how you transclude an RfA. Please read the instructions in detail, you are usually expected to do this without help. Furthermore, please read WP:NOTNOW, it may save you some grief. WP:TOONEW and WP:RFAADVICE are also worth a look. As recently as October you were posting wholesale copyright violations and threatening lawsuits while claiming to be an FBI agent. You've come a long way since then (you seem to have gotten a fair grasp of image policy, thank you for making the effort), but you've got a long way to go before you can make a credible candidacy to be an administrator, at least 3000 (and preferably 10,000) edits, a clean or easily explainable block record, an understanding of notability and deletion policy (you've got some issues there), solid and substantial content contributions, preferably in featured or GA content, and a record of mature judgment for at least a year, preferably two or three. Be patient, you appear to be able and willing to learn, and have made a good recovery from a bad start. Acroterion (talk) 04:19, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
- Dear @Acroterion: -- Thank you for your advise. I never claimed I was a Federal Agent. Regardless, thank you for your advise, and I think you are right, I am not ready for amidship. I did reed the pages, but its frustrating how this thing works. Is there anyway to revert this? I think you are right, I am probably not ready. So please undo this nomination for me. And sorry for uploading copyrighted images, that's a thing of the past. I am willing to learn. Best Regards, Cookie Monster. CookieMonster755 (talk) 04:31, 5 January 2015 (UTC)CookieMonster755
- It was more of an implication via username but it looks bad, so recently, together with the legal threats. I do want to compliment you on the effort yo've made so far, you've done well, and I suggest that you concentrate on serious, substantial content. Nothing about being an admin makes it any more possible to do the things you mentioned in the RfA, in fact, I can assure you that admin stuff is a distraction from making the encyclopedia's content better. If it's OK with you I'll delete the RfA. Happy editing, and best wishes. Acroterion (talk) 05:17, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Nomination of Hannah Thomas-Garner for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Hannah Thomas-Garner is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hannah Thomas-Garner until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. MelanieN (talk) 22:18, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- The Hannah Thomas-Garner image is quite clearly copyrighted. I've marked it for deletion. Since it's uploaded on Commons, I will not impose a sanction, but please consider this a warning: I thought you understood image policy. Perhaps I am wrong? Acroterion (talk) 23:10, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Acroterion: -- Thanks for the warning, I don't want to be blocked again, but I do understand if I upload another copyrighted image, I will be blocked. I honestly thought it was in the public domain. I guess I don't understand the United States "public domain" polices. I need to learn more about the law. I will not be uploading anymore images that I am unsure of, unless they are from Flickr and have a free licence. Know any websites that could fill me in about copyright/public domain/fair use? I do appreciate your message. CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:54, 6 January 2015 (UTC)CookieMonster755
- It's simple: if the page claims copyright, it's copyrighted. In this case there was a clearly visible copyright statement at the bottom of the page. If there is no apparent copyright notice, the law assumes it's copyrighted. Only if it's clearly and unmistakably stated to be CC-by-SA or "public domain" can it be used on Wikipedia. Merely publishing something in print or on the Internet does not release something into the public domain, and in practice, only works by the U.S. Government and its (verified) employees are likely to be PD. If you don't know for sure, it's not usable. Acroterion (talk) 00:07, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- I did not see the copyrighted text on the website! I will be VERY aware if when uploading a Image to Wikipedia. I am thankful for you not blocking me this time. That's why I like Flickr, you can find free photos to upload to Wikipedia. And thanks for the 101 about copyrights. I am going to do some more research into that. Well Happy Editing and keep up the good administator work! CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:11, 7 January 2015 (UTC)CookieMonster755

One other comment, while we are talking about this article: I see that you are interested in becoming an administrator someday. One thing you will have to learn, if you want to be an administrator, is not to SHOUT, as you did at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hannah Thomas-Garner. Wikipedia is based on discussion, but it needs to be calm, policy-based discussion. Just a word to the wise. --MelanieN (talk) 00:18, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- I looked at that AfD and also noted the RfA, and I was going to mention the shouting thing as well. See this guideline for more about civility on Wikipedia. Also, you seem to be having trouble with your signature? If you sign with 4 tildes ~~~~ you do not also need to write your name after that. Take a look at your signatures on this page and ask me if you don't know what I'm talking about. For example, see Melanie's signature above--it has a link to her userpage, a link to her talk page, and a datestamp. Your signature has those things too, plus your name shows up again in plain text. If you like it that way, that's OK, but it's something else to consider if you want to be an administrator. Generally we are looking for people who understand things like signatures, civility, notability, and the AfD process, among many other things. Cheers, Valfontis (talk) 01:23, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Dear @Valfontis: and @MelanieN: -- Thank you for your kind messages. I am sorry for shouting, and it was not appropriate. I would like to be come an admin in the future, yes. I have been having trouble with my signature. I never knew you had to just sign 4 tides, I thought you had to add your username as well. Thank you for telling me!! Happy Editing and God Bless. Thanks for your help and suggestions. CookieMonster755 (talk) 02:01, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
- You're welcome, CookieMonster. I think you show a lot of aptitude and a good attitude, and in a year or two you might well be ready for adminship. If you have questions in the meantime, or things you don't understand, feel free to ask at my talk page. --MelanieN (talk) 19:03, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Hello, CookieMonster755. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Sam & Mickey, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:
- edit the page
- remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- save the page
Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Burklemore1 (talk) 04:55, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- @CookieMonster755: I tried, to look some sources up. But I can't find any good sources exept from their website. If I can't find reliable sources, it must not be notibal enough. Delete it. Sorry Burklemore. CookieMonster755 (talk) 06:45, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- @CookieMonster755: It's fine, don't, apologise. :) My suggestion to you is to find reliable sources before creating an article, and other than that the article you create will have a good chance of staying. I'm slightly new myself but I work in a particular field where sources are delightfully everywhere. Burklemore1 (talk) 06:50, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- I will keep that tip in mind next time I create an article!! :) and welcome to Wikipedia! The free encyclopedia. Everybody's work and dedication here is very variable. CookieMonster755 (talk) 06:54, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of One West Main
The article One West Main has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Mentions in the local paper notwithstanding, I don't find evidence that this is a notable building.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Largo Plazo (talk) 03:04, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- Speaking architecturally, it's an unremarkable commercial building, and it's not a high-rise, not even really a mid-rise. For a relatively recent building to be eligible for inclusion, it should have received a major award and/or been covered in national media. Please remember also that "costed" is not a word. Acroterion (talk) 04:24, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- I guess I don't know what a high-rise building is, and my grammar is just stupid. I am very embarrassed. I will not be creating new articles, I am sincerely sorry @Acroterion: - I really do try to help Wikipedia, but I am just not that good. I can't believe you have not blocked me for my mistakes :-( I need some more practice I guess. Thank you so much for being patient with me, because I am new here. CookieMonster755 (talk) 05:16, 9 February 2015 (UTC).
- Hi, Cookiemonster. I think you are right to say you will not be creating any more new articles until you get more familiar with our criteria, particularly notability. However, I am puzzled to see that immediately after saying that, you created another draft article Draft:August D. Singler Memorial Plaza. This subject will almost certainly be found not to meet the notability criteria. You might be wise, before you create any more new articles, that you request one of the experienced editors on this talk page to take a look at the subject and advise you whether it is a good subject for Wikipedia or not. It's no fun to have your articles deleted, after you have worked hard on them; better not to write them in the first place if they are not going to be accepted here. I suggest that instead of continually trying to write articles you browse around Wikipedia, read articles about things you are interested in, make small edits, read article talk pages - get a feel for what is and what is not "encyclopedic". If you have specific questions, ask here or at anybody's talk page. Keep trying, I can tell you will be a valuable editor once you learn your way around. --MelanieN (talk) 16:58, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- Ok, let's take another look here. You are not a newbie, you have been here for six months. In that time you have created 36 articles,[1] of which more than half were deleted - mostly via Speedy Deletion which means they were obviously unsuitable. Given this track record, I intend to review the other half. The larger problem: you don't seem to have learned anything from all this experience, and you immediately broke your recent promise to stop creating new articles. You really need to STOP creating problematic articles that take up other people's time to review and if necessary delete. There are other ways to improve Wikipedia besides creating articles, and I strongly suggest you concentrate on some of those other ways. --MelanieN (talk) 18:03, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- I'm not going to block you: I think you mean well and want to improve the encyclopedia, but I suggest that you take MelanieN's advice and concentrate on sourcing and improving existing articles for a while. While it seems less productive to new users, it's valuable. We have 4.7 million articles, and no more than a few tens of thousands are really good articles. You can learn a great deal (and I mean in general, not just about WP) if you work on existing articles that catch your fancy. Acroterion (talk) 19:07, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- Dear @MelanieN: - As much as I really appreciate your comments, please be more kind me. I really am trying my best to improve, but nope, It's making the website a mess. Please be kind and patient with me Melanie, because I really do want to do some good. I did not create a new article, I created a draft of an article, so. YOU really need to be more nice, and I need to be nicer to, by not spamming the Wikipedia. I strongly suggest you work on your attitude. @Acroterion: - You have been SO helpful to me, and you are a great administrator. I really thank you for being patient with me, unlike Melanie. But I do promise both of you, I will not be creating any new articles for awhile, until I KNOW they meet guidelines and criteria. Please be patient with me, and treat me human. There is a human who has emotions behind this computer screen, so please try to be nice, and I am trying my best not to get upset, nor create articles that waste time. I am sincerely sorry, but please remember. I am not a robot. I am a human. Thank you so much for your help, Thank you! CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:59, 9 February 2015 (UTC).
- Yes, I know you are a human being. And I was very patient, for a while, encouraging you and offering to help you. But when I discovered that you have been here for six months and created dozens of articles, my patience kind of wore a little thin. I am going to continue to review your earlier articles. But yes, I will be glad to see you live up to your promises and listen to advice and improve the encyclopedia. I still do think what I said before, that you have the makings of a fine Wikipedian. --MelanieN (talk) 01:16, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- @CookieMonster755 And now my patience is wearing thin: I strongly suggest that you work on your attitude if you're going to play games like this. MelanieN and I are in full agreement: stop treating this as a popularity contest. Acroterion (talk) 03:35, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Acroterion: and @MelanieN: - You want to bully me? Fine. I am trying to help out, but I guess I am causing too much trouble. I am no longer editing Wikipedia, due to the harrasment I am getting. I tried my best, but my best is not enough for any of you! I am sorry for causing trouble, I even asked Jesus Christ for forgiveness. By the way Acroterion, I am not playing games with anyone, so don't falsely accuse me. And I am not treating this as a popularity contest. Again, stop falsly accusing me. I pray that this situation gets better, and I heal from this harrasment. All I wanted to do was help, but you don't seem to like me or want me here. I will pray for both of you, whoever is behind that computer screen. CookieMonster755 (talk) 05:58, 10 February 2015 (UTC).
- I guess I don't know what a high-rise building is, and my grammar is just stupid. I am very embarrassed. I will not be creating new articles, I am sincerely sorry @Acroterion: - I really do try to help Wikipedia, but I am just not that good. CookieMonster755 (talk) 05:16, 9 February 2015 (UTC).
<outdent>Nobody's bullying or harassing you, you are being asked (nicely) to learn from experience and to conform a little better to the norms and expectations of other contributors to this encyclopedia. Put another way, we'd appreciate it if you were more professional about your contributions, assimilating constructive criticism instead of redirecting it as a personal perception of persecution. Most of the contributors to Wikipedia are substantially older than you are and have expectations of mature conduct. I personally appreciate your interest in architecture and the visual arts, uncommon on WP, and encourage you to explore these subjects, but that doesn't make you immune to criticism. Acroterion (talk) 17:54, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
- I am very willing to learn from my mistakes @Acroterion: and will always follow any advise you give me, because your smarter than me, in a good way. And @MelanieN: sure loves to stalk me, oh well. I just need to stop getting mad over Wikipedia. I am not going to edit it no more. But like I said, I am very open to your opinions, as long as you treat me like a human and not a robot! ;) and oh, Acroterion. Since I am not "immune" to "criticism", I will criticize you all I want. I want to make Wikipedia better, but I am not going to edit Wikipedia, due to your complaints. :) CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:48, 10 February 2015 (UTC).
Hello, CookieMonster755. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Wolfgang Halbig, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

Ways to improve Robert Muir Graves
Hi, I'm Fisheriesmgmt. CookieMonster755, thanks for creating Robert Muir Graves!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Great start! This article could use a good copy-editing and additional references, particularly in the "Architecture" section. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Fisheriesmgmt (talk) 06:11, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

Sir. Thanks for reflist in this article. However, what you missed was the in-use tag I had placed. I lost lots of additions due to this and will have to do it all over again. I know you meant good but please watch out for the in-use tag in future. Cheers, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 06:23, 27 February 2015 (UTC)

Oregon Senate Bill 166
Hello CookieMonster755, and thank you for your new article. Unfortunately, I've had to remove the text of the law you added, since Wikipedia generally does not include the full text of primary sources (WP:NPS); summaries are much better. Also, as crazy as it sounds, some states, including Oregon, claim that the text of their law is copyrighted...go figure. It's not something I agree with but we had best err on the side of caution. Altamel (talk) 03:16, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

She can hold me at a higher standard if she wants, because if the offline world, I have been held alot HIGHER standards than Valfontis will ever know, lol. I just need to have peace in my heart while the editing gets hot. At least she no longer communicates with me, I am glad! and thanks for your messages. I just need to remember, that people revert me edits for a good reason, even if I don't understand the reason. I need to trust Wikipedia administrators who have had a lot more expertise than I have. Elementary school story
Hi, CookieMonster! I wanted to let you know that I deleted the story about Lincoln Elementary School from the Grants Pass article. It is a very short lived story (WP:NOTNEWS) and the sources were very poor. Most of the reporting was from tabloids like the Mirror (England) and the Daily News (New York); these are not Reliable Sources because they commonly sensationalize stories and get their facts wrong. For example he wasn't being punished for being one minute late, he was punished for being REPEATEDLY late. Plus I think it is wrong to use the kid's name; he is just a kid and he doesn't need to have his privacy violated in this way. Anyhow I hope you are not unhappy that I deleted this. We can talk about it if you want. --MelanieN (talk) 23:56, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi MelanieN - I trust your judgement on this matter, and I completely understand that Wikipedia is not news. Yes, I should have apologized for using his name. I guess the media does not care about privacy, lol. Thank you for fixing my mistake. Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:28, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- Also, thank you for explaining that Mirror UK and Daily News NY are not reliable, because I had no idea. If you don't mind, could you include the link about reliable references, because I may need a refresh. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:31, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- The link is here: WP:RS. The key sentence is this: "Beware of sources which sound reliable but don't have the reputation for fact-checking and accuracy that WP:RS requires." There no real way for you to know the reputation of a source - for example that the Mirror and the Daily News are regarded as not having a reputation for accuracy and fact-checking; I guess that's just something you learn by experience. But they are known for sensationalizing; take a look at the Daily News current front page for example. None of that is actual "news", it's human interest and sensation and celebrity gossip. They are not as bad as the supermarket tabloids with headlines about aliens and Elvis sightings - but they are still tabloids and are not regarded as reliable sources. But you had no way of knowing that. --MelanieN (talk) 01:35, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- Aye, Thank you very much for your information MelanieN. Next time I am looking for references, I will steer away from websites like that. Feel free to revert any of my future edits if they have any unreliable or biased references (if you notice). Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 02:15, 11 March 2015 (UTC)

You voted support; why closing it as "no consensus"? Why not let someone else determine the outcome? --George Ho (talk) 08:48, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for your help with Robert J. Yock. If you are interested in working on more draft articles for Federal Claims judges, there is a complete list of current drafts at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject United States courts and judges#Drafts for missing Federal Claims judges. Also, further information about many of these judges can often be found in the Congressional directories for the years during which they were active, in the "Judicial" section. October 1, 1982 CFC judges
Note that all of the "October 1, 1982" appointments of CFC judges were technically not appointments by Reagan, but were by operation of law, following enactment of the Federal Courts Improvement Act (basically, the Act turned the old Federal Claims trial judges into short-term CFC judges, some of whom were then appointed to full terms by Reagan). Cheers! bd2412 T 04:22, 18 March 2015 (UTC)*

Moves
Hi I noticed you moved Sia (musician) but you had already !voted on the talkpageso thus you're not supposed to move,
Sorry to be the pain but I'd rather an uninvolved admin put it to rest as no doubt someone would re-request saying it was biased seeing as you !voted,
In the long run I'm making our lives easier ..... I think
Anyway thanks and happy editing :) –Davey2010Talk 01:08, 24 March 2015 (UTC)
- You're not a pain Davey, and thanks for the heads up. The reason why I closed it was because its been more than a week, and 6 people supported the move while 3 did not, so I though it was approperite to move, and get it done with, but you probably know whats best. Cheers! ;) CookieMonster755 (talk) 01:14, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

- Obviously I never would but I have a feeling someone would either re-request or move so yeah I completely understand you want to hurry the process but a move like this shouldn't really be done - Had it been like 3 supports then yeah no one cares but something like this we can't really let slide, It's cool you acted in Good faith so no worries no harm done :), Thanks and happy editing –Davey2010Talk 01:22, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Talk page formatting
I just came around to see how you're doing, and a nice, small image you put on the top of your talk page seems to be overlapping the other content. Emily Selke listed at Redirects for discussion
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Emily Selke. Since you had some involvement with the Emily Selke redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. - TheChampionMan1234 00:00, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
"Person not mentioned at target"
I'm just writing as I don't know if you are genuinely confused about this, it is a bit of shorthand I suppose or jargon used at WP:RFD quite a lot.
As shorthand, we tend to say "Not at target" (whether it's a person or a bag of beans) because we then think that the redirect is unsuitable, because someone searching for something won't find what they are looking for. In this case, anyone searching for the flight will search by the flight. Anyone searching for the particular person will find a flight. But she is not the only person ever to have that name, so this is WP:RFD#D2 confusing.
We have to be a bit clairvoyant in guessing what people will search for. As Wikipedia is such an enormously popular site to search for, most of our work over at RfD is to kinda un-knit things that have been thrown in unnecessarily. It's an interesting job to do so, at least for me.
But like with most fora, the regulars tends to get into the habit of using a kinda slang or jargon, private language, that only they know. Sorry about that. I've mentioned not long ago that it makes the place look like some gentleman's club to do so, but in practice it is very difficult to avoid. Si Trew (talk) 07:38, 27 March 2015 (UTC)

- No, thank you: Things often can seem very patronising etc when written so I am very glad you did not take it that way. I'm minded to make some cookies myself now but I just cleaned the kitchen and it always ends up a bit like the Swedish Chef whenever I cook anything, I dunno, I have flour and sugar and salt and stuff but not a lot of small fruit to put in them and the missus ate the last of the chocolate. I think I may have some sultanas somewhere. Making Shepherd's Pie tonight so got that prepared, doddle to make that, and the first crop of new potatoes I think will be a treat with that. Interestingly, or not, did you know that Lizst is just the Hungarian word for flour? Si Trew (talk) 13:09, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- By the way, you did not waste anyone's time and there was no need to apologise. You did the right thing to bring it to the attention of other editors. I would do the same had I found it, and I don't watch "New Articles" etc, others do, and together we make this collaborative effort of an encylopaedia better. Just, sometimes, it's better by excluding things, not for the respect of the family as such, that's their problem, but because people can't find what they're looking for. Let's hope, Requiescat in pace, there's not another 149 out there that people have created. The pilot, as a redirect, probably is a useful redirect because people will be searching for it. But we can't, surely, have a list of every passenger who ever died on an aircraft, however tragic the circumstances. And I think it is right that it is not how their family would want her to be remembered anyway, as a redirect on Wikipedia. May she rest in peace. I hope very much you will continue to contribute to WP:RfD. We're a strange bunch of regulars there, all a bit eccentric in our own way, because we have to think in unusual ways, what are people trying to find? So if you kinda throw out odd suggestions, they might be laughed at or disagreed with, but won't ever be dismissed or feel the need to apologise. It is kinda our job over there to do that. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Andreas Lubitz.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Andreas Lubitz.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 12:31, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Psychonaut: -- I have updated the rational for File:Andreas Lubitz.jpg. Please check out the rational, and make sure it complies with Wikipedia "fair-use" guidelines. If the image has an 'appropriate' rationale please append |image has rationale=yes as a parameter to the license template. If the photo still does not have a good rational, please reply here, and please explain how I could improve the rational, so I can stay on Wikipedia. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 17:30, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for updating the rationale. Did you try writing to any copyright holders of the non-free images you found to see if they would be willing to licence their works under a free content licence? (I've had very good success rates with this myself.) It may be too early to write to the subject's family, though not to unrelated photographers. —Psychonaut (talk) 17:39, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- Wow, you are official one of the smartest Wikipedians! I ever thought of that @Psychonaut:! I will see what I can whip up. I will try to contact any copyright holders, and see if they would release a photograph of him under a free licence like you suggested. Any tips? (I don't want to sound rude when asking them for the photo, because he died recently). Thanks! CookieMonster755 (talk) 17:45, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- Ha! I'm hardly smart—lots of people do this. You can see example permission request letters at Wikipedia:Example requests for permission. I think there's a similar page on Commons but I can't seem to locate it at the moment. —Psychonaut (talk) 18:13, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Psychonaut: I found an email address for the photographer of the photo of Andreas Lubitz. I emailed him with a template, asking if he would like to let Wikipedia use his photo under CC by 3.0, and explained what that means, and how his work will be free, but he will still have rights to the photograph. Hopefully the photographer says yes. We will see with several days. Thank you. CookieMonster755 (talk) 19:08, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Psychonaut: Update 1 -- The photographer declined for Wikipedia to use the photograph. Should we delete it off Wikipedia, since he declined to release the photograph under CC by 3.0? It guess its a copyright violation now.. What do you think? CookieMonster755 (talk) 21:02, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Psychonaut: Update 2 -- I will try search for some other photographs of Andreas Lubitz, and see if their photographer would be willing to release their photo of him under CC by 3.0. I will keep trying. But please refer to my comment above about the current photograph (which is copyrighted). Since the author did not give us premission (which he said to me in an email), should we remove it from Wikipedia, and just wait until I can get a free image of him? Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 21:33, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- Writing to a copyright holder to request a licence after you're already using their work without one puts you (and Wikipedia in general) in a pretty awkward position. This is one of the reasons why it's a good idea to diligently search/ask for a freely licensed image before appropriating one for "fair use". Whether or not a photographer gives permission to use an image doesn't affect our rights to use it under fair use, though in this case I'm still not convinced that we have any grounds to invoke fair use. Is this the only photo of Lubitz out there, other than ones that he or his family may have published? If so, then I think we've exhausted all reasonable avenues of procuring a free image, and we could retain the current one (albeit at the risk of annoying the photographer). If not, then I don't think the speedy deletion tag should have been removed from the image in the first place. —Psychonaut (talk) 21:59, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Psychonaut: — First off I want to apologize for removing the deletion tag. You had good reason to remove this image from Wikipedia. I am asking you to restore the deletion tag. Secondly, yes, its awkward to have an image on Wikipedia then the photographer said he declined rights for us to use it (after it was published on Wikipedia). I will always listen to your advise and think about it before uploading an image. You're right, I should look harder for a free image before going to the "fair-use" route. I will try to find a free image of Andreas Lubitz somewhere on the internet, and I will continue to ask photographers if they are interested in licensing their photo of Andreas with CC by 3.0. At this point in time, I will not ask the family for a photograph, until its an appropriate time to do so, because right now its too early to ask his family. I want to thank you for teaching me not to upload a non-free image unless I have worked my butt off and can't find (and have been declined by photographers) for a free image of someone or something. You have change my perspective about photographs on Wikipedia, so I sincerely Thank you. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 22:06, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- No need to be so apologetic! There's no requirement to "work your butt off", though in the case of recently deceased people, the community has historically expected editors to make at least some effort to procure a free image before using a non-free one. Whether what you've already done is enough isn't for me alone to decide. If you want to seek more input from the community, or if you're worried about how this looks to the photographer you've contacted, then you are free to restore the deletion tag. I've said as much as I care to on the matter. —Psychonaut (talk) 22:27, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
- Ha! I'm hardly smart—lots of people do this. You can see example permission request letters at Wikipedia:Example requests for permission. I think there's a similar page on Commons but I can't seem to locate it at the moment. —Psychonaut (talk) 18:13, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
Cheers. 06:04:54, 29 March 2015 review of submission by Internegative
Hi CookieMonster755 thanks for your comments. I've gone through and removed any phrases that may not appear neutral. The majority of phrases I could best identify were in the Reception section. I also made a few adjustments in several of the other sections. Related to IMDB, there are three references to the site although I would note that two of them are identical and relate to the release date for the film. This is the only place this information is available. The other IMDB reference is for the director. Is this really too many references to IMDB? Let me know if there are any other issues that you had in mind that I may have missed. I feel that the rest of the article is supported by numerous third party sources. Let me know if there are others you feel should be swapped out.
Internegative (talk) 06:04, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello @Internegative: Thank you for contacting me regarding your draft. You have successfully fixed my suggestion for making it encyclopedic. However, I still don't feel like your article is ready. Here are some suggestions I would like you to make to the draft. The article needs major clean-up. There is red links to Files that do not exist. Those need to be deleted, or filed in with a File already on Wikipedia. If you are going to add those photos later, I would still suggest removing the red links, and than adding the photos after the article has been accepted into the main space. The next step to create a good quality article for the main space is more references, more verifiable references. Your draft seems to have a majority of sources with no editorial control, and no editorial control sources are not reliable for Wikipedia. These include (but are not limited to) books published by vanity presses, self-published 'zines', blogs, web forums, usenet discussions, BBSes, fan sites, vanity websites that permit the creation of self-promotional articles (like iReport), and other similar venues. You need to add more reliable sources from sources like (e.g.) New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and other news websites. You need sources that exercise some form of editorial control and have some reputation for fact checking and accuracy. Print sources (and web-based versions of those sources) tend to be the most reliable, though some web-only sources may also be reliable. Examples might include (but are not limited to) books published by major publishing houses, newspapers, magazines, peer-reviewed scholarly journals, websites of any of the above, and other websites that meet the same requirements as a reputable print-based source. If you fix the reliability of your sources from news sites like New York Times (for example), than your article will be ready to publish into the mainspace. If you have additional questions, comments, concerns, you may always contact me. Thank you for using Wikipedia, and contributing to this encyclopedia. CookieMonster755 (talk) 06:17, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello @CookieMonster755: I've deleted links to the files that cannot currently be uploaded since the article is not in the main space. I will add them back once the article is approved (the images are not in the public domain so I cannot add them to the Commons). Related to verifiable sources I am at a bit of a loss. My assumption is your comments are mainly related to the review section (please let me know if I am incorrect about this). Reviews for a film are requested by the agency handling publicity from a long list of online and traditional contributors. Neither the production company or the publicity firm have control over who decides to review the film. The references I have included are those that the publicity company provided. Certainly the Village Voice had editorial control on its content. I've also added a link to a review from the Los Angeles times which obviously has editorial control. Common Sense Media, though not having as storied a history as the latter publications is the largest non-profit organization for reviewing media for schools and families and has heavy editorial control of it's reviews. Beyond the Reception subhead would you be able to identify any other references that require bolstering? If there are I can make another pass and attempt to find them. Sincere thanks for your help!

Orphaned non-free image File:Andreas Lubitz.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Andreas Lubitz.jpg.
Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:14, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Stefan2: -- I already agreed to speedy delete, because I am trying to find a free photo of him. Please delete it. Also, please see User talk:CookieMonster755#Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Andreas Lubitz.jpg for more information. Thanks. CookieMonster755 (talk) 16:16, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Request on 22:39:56, 29 March 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Feezos
Feezos (talk) 22:39, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Hello,
As you probably saw my comments to the last reviewer, this is my first article and I hope I'm using proper protocol to reply to your comments on my article that was under review.
The first reviewer commented to eliminate "peacock" language and to correct the citations for repeated cites. I fixed the language and the citations and the reviewer approved my sources. The reviewer also said I shoukd resubmit the article with the corrections and there shouldn't be a problem.
However, your remarks then disagree with the last reviewer. So, I'll need some guidance as to how to fix the wording if you can please give me examples of the advertisement aspect. Similarly, can you please give me examples of what sources you feel are written by the entity that I am writing the article on because I don't know which sources you are referring.
Thanks for your help! Feezos (talk) 22:39, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia Feezos! I am so glad you are devolving your first article with our AFC team! — The reason why I rejected your draft was that your article had poor formatting. Also the introduction seemed like an advertisement. If you would like, I can help you fix those changes. After the addressed issues are fixed, I can publish your article into the main space. My comments where different, because the issue the other review addressed got fixed, but new issues popped up. If you would like me to help you work on it, just say so! — Thank you for using Wikipedia! CookieMonster755 (talk) 22:47, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Reducing citation clutter
CookieMonster755
I have removed citations where I had two citations for one point. I have also removed citations from the discography.
I also renamed the page since there are multiple Alan Jones pages for athletes.
This is for the following page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Alan_Jones_(Drummer)
I'm hoping this is sufficient.
Thanks for your help.

- UPDATE — Galaher, I cleaned up your article, however I am not moving it into the main space because it did major editing (cleaning up) to the article, which I think it would be biased. As a good faith guideline, I am going to let another editor review the article, and to decided if it qualifies for main space. Cheers. 02:26, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Article for creation: List of predecessors of sovereign states in Asia
I would like to thank you for your wonderful comment on my draft article. I realize that there is a page that lists countries of Asia at List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia, however, this article was inspired by List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Europe and List of sovereign states and dependent territories in South America and I believe is useful from a historical perspective. However, I understand you wanting a more experienced editor to review my work.
Thanks again. Nick Mitchell 98 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 07:41, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Nick Mitchell 98 - Your article was great! I strongly think it should be in the main space - However, I think getting a second opinion from an editor about publishing it into the main space would be a wise idea. Also: You can contact the editor who originally declined your submission, and ask them what needs to be done to get the article into the main space. If you still have questions, feel free to contact me anytime. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:40, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
hi cookie monster! how are you? i just got your message about the mikey walsh author page i am trying to get up and just wanted to run a couple of questions by you if thats ok? i may kick myself for not knowing this, but could you explain 'peacock terms' for me, just so i know for sure that i won't do it again. also, is the link to the book to film adaptation on imdb enough proof that its in production, or will i need more links, and add them to the reference part.. so sorry to be a bit of a pain.. its my first article and i want to be sure i get it right... I'm just trying to get to grips with 'citing' references too, to make them right.. this is hard work, eh? cheers! mark — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gypsiestrampsandbulldogs (talk • contribs) 09:26, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Gypsietrampsandbulldogs, I will be happy to answer any questions you have!
- What is a peacock term?
- ... legendary, great, acclaimed, visionary, outstanding, leading, celebrated, award-winning, landmark, cutting-edge, extraordinary, brilliant, hit, famous, renowned, remarkable, prestigious, world-class, respected, notable, virtuoso, honorable, awesome ...
Words such as these are often used without attribution to promote the subject of an article, while neither imparting nor plainly summarizing verifiable information. They are known as "peacock terms" by Wikipedia contributors. Instead of making unprovable proclamations about a subject's importance, use facts and attribution to demonstrate that importance.
Peacock example:
- Bob Dylan is the defining figure of the 1960s counterculture and a brilliant songwriter.
Articles suffering from such language should be rewritten to correct language according to Wikipedia:Manual of Style.
- Is a link to the book and film adaptation on IMDb enough proof that its in production?
- No. IMDb is not to be used as references to the production, but as an external link. You need to add secondary sources to your article to establish notability.
Also: Yes, your first time submitting and editing Wikipedia can be frustrating! But don't worry, you will learn the guidelines and how to create good articles on Wikipedia by reading Wikipedia guidelines and by experience. Also, if you need help with making the draft usable for the main space or need help, I will be happy to edit the article with you if you would like me to. Cheers! Your GA nomination of Independence Day (United States)
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Independence Day (United States) you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Yash! -- Yash! (talk) 14:40, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Heyo! While it is not a necessity, generally articles are nominated for GA after a lot of efforts. I just noticed that you haven't edited the article at all. Neither it has been substantially improved by anyone to prepare it for a GAR (that explains the bad shape the article is in). I doubt if the article is near a GA status and it qualifies for a quick fail. Next time you nominate an article for a GAR, first check it against the criteria and fix any issues that you see. Proper grammar and use of WP:RS for ever fact mentioned in the article with the article following WP:MOS is the basic requirement. Also, do check out GAs on the same topic; that will help you a lot (Independence Day (Pakistan), Independence Day (India)). It's nice to see you trying to get the article to GA status. I will list the problems with the article later today. Happy editing! — Yash! [talk] 17:13, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yash - I am very aware of how GA process works. The reason why I event nominated it was to see it fail, but also to see what needs to be done to get it to good status. Your comments are very helpful, and I will be improving the article from day to day, and will re-submit Independence Day for good article nomination within 4-5 weeks. Thank you for helping out! Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:15, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

- Vgrgrr - The reason why your submission was declined is because the references you provided don't establish this organization as notable. Request on 13:30:31, 31 March 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Bundeskulturstiftung
Dear CookieMonster755,
thanks for reviewing the draft article about the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
I would really like to make use of your proposed help in improving the article. How can I do the "clean-up" you mentioned?
Best regards and thanks in advance!
Bundeskulturstiftung (talk) 13:30, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, Bundeskulturstiftung, while I was here posting a comment, I saw your post - and I hope you don't mind if I step in on this. I see that you have received many comments that mention that the article needs work and more sources, and hope that my comments are more of a strategic nature. The page looks to be a copy of material from the foundation's web site, which is not a purpose of an encyclopedia article. (See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, particularly "promotion", "mirror" sections) And, that might be why, then, it's hard to sort out where to get sources for the content.
- An encyclopedia article should have content from independent sources that are reliable and secondary sources. That's a mouthful, but all of these can be met by using established newspapers, magazines and books (except self-published books). As I mentioned on the page, I recommend removing - or greatly limiting - the content from the foundation's website (i.e., remove it or summarize and cite it) and then beginning by finding good sources and writing the article based upon the content of the sources.
- It is more work, that's for sure. The good news, though, is that interested readers can go to the website to get detailed program information, etc.... and writing an article from independent sources often makes for a more interesting article with information that cannot be found on the foundation's website.
- Lastly, you have to be careful about claims like "best", "first", "one of"... those absolutely need to be cited from an independent source. I tagged one instance on the draft. I would be happy to help restructure the article and get you off on a good footing.--CaroleHenson (talk) 16:38, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- CaroleHenson Thank you my Wikipedia mom! I really appreciated you replying to my inquires, it takes a lot of work off my hands. By the way Bundeskulturstiftung, CaroleHenson is my Wikipedia mom.
Something with your archive page
I just wanted to let you know that one of your talk archive pages is a duplicate of the other; specifically, User talk:CookieMonster755/Archives/ is a duplicate of User talk:CookieMonster755/Archives 1. Epic Genius (talk) 16:12, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- Epicgenius — How do I fix this? I don't think the bot is working correctly on my page. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:16, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- @CookieMonster755: Well, I've gone and redirected User talk:CookieMonster755/Archives/ to User talk:CookieMonster755/Archives 1. Kind of the problem is that your configuration invoked dated archives (e.g. User talk:CookieMonster755/Archives/2015) but you have numbered archives instead (e.g. User talk:CookieMonster755/Archives 1). 16:27:43, 1 April 2015 review of submission by 187.189.141.42
Hi, I'm not really sure how I can add reliable sources to my article. I thought the ones I used were ok, but I got declined again. Is there a way you can tell me why each of my sources are not reliable? I have read the guidelines and I think I had followed them right. Also, I had seen this article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HelpArgentina and I really wanted to write something similar to that, Help Argentina there uses their own website as source, so why is that? What can I do to have my article published as Help Argentina?
Thank you!
187.189.141.42 (talk) 16:27, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- 187.189.141.42 — I am happy to tell your sources that are reliable and not reliable. Also: Please don't justify your article being in the main space because another article is. HelpArgentina should be deleted. It cites no references at all. The references you provide still don't support the organizations notability of having a Wikipedia article. I am happy to help, but I can only to an extent. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:19, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

Maria Radner discussion
btw: did you see that Michael Bednarek simply reverted DABKV's edit as "unnecessary & non-MOS-compliant section heading" while we were discussing it on the talk page? women discuss... men make no fuss... I guess. :-)--Wuerzele (talk) 06:04, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wuerzele — Hmm... Interesting. He removed the brackets from "Germany" and "Frace", which is a fine edit, because its only necessary to have the town. I don't know what other edits he did. He should have not changed the title without posting on the talk page, however. I will notify him about it. I am a man by the way, lol. CookieMonster755 (talk) 06:08, 2 April 2015 (UTC)

I try to fly under the genderID radar, because I know discrimination too well; so far so good, everybody thinks I am male. maybe erase this section, so this stays less detectable to my, I hate to say it, 'enemies' ? -now my eyes fall shut, good night.--Wuerzele (talk) 08:03, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Lol, Thanks! My pink username always fools everybody! I should add a userbox that I am male. Thanks for reminding me. I understand what you mean by discrimination, but I think female Wikipedians are awesome! (and can even be better than male Wikipedians!) Have a good day Wuerzele! Cheers my friend. Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to explain your decision to reject the AfC, but the content does reference a range of high-quality independent sources (national TV and newspapers, plus scholarly articles), so it's hard for me to think of how stating the information written there could be rewritten to not "read like an advertisement". Is it really necessary to invent something negative just to give an appearance of objectivity? How would that be objective? I'd appreciate if you gave me a pointer on how you imagine the change.
Full disclosure: this is a translation of an article sl:Zlatarna Celje that I wrote for :slwiki. Originally, the company's PR agency wanted to insert a promo piece which was deleted, so they followed the COI guideline and provided reliable references. I used those (and a few that I've found myself) to create an original text, but received no benefit from either the PR agency or their client. That text was then translated by the agency and posted here for review. I'm writing you because they asked me to help with the AfC process. — Yerpo Eh? 07:10, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yerpo - The company should not be editing the article unless its minor edits and comply with WP:COI. Also: If you have any connection with the company, please don't do major editing like you are doing. It's against Wikipedia polices. Please refer to WP:COI what connected editors can or can't edit. If you still have questions, please feel free to reply to me on my talk page. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:46, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Looks like I wasn't clear: the company didn't provide any content, just the (direct) translation of my work from a sister wiki. I believe this does constitute a minor contribution (in wider perspective, although within this Wikipedia, creating an article is usually not considered minor). Also, like I said, I have no connection with the said company whatsoever. Can we please discuss style now? — Yerpo Eh? 05:47, 31 March 2015 (UTC)
- Yerpo — Thank you for addressing your side of the issue. I will be happy to discus with you how to improve the draft and about style! CookieMonster755 (talk) 06:00, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

- Yerpo — Article looks better! Do you have any other additional references you can add? That would really help it be ready for main space use. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:24, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- I'd say 7 solid sources are quite good for such a short text, but do tell which part you think is insufficiently referenced. The company is one of the more recognized in the country, so it gets regular media coverage, but the coverage mostly consists of news about company activities and trivia (which would make the article sound more promotional) and day-to-day financial details (which are not relevant for a summary of this size). — Yerpo Eh? 05:36, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Your additional input would be welcome here. I'd really like to move this process forward. — Yerpo Eh? 17:24, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

- CaroleHenson — Yerpo has requested that I re-review their article to see if it is ready for main space. I reviewed it, and I think its ready, but I think it still seems promotional, but it could be me. Do you think its ready for main space? CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:18, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yep, a little in some places. I'll take a stab at some minor edits and see what I can do. Some of it reads as if it's copied from somewhere, I'll check around.--CaroleHenson (talk) 05:20, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks Wiki Mom! CookieMonster755 (talk) 05:26, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Sure! I didn't find any copyright issues - and I went ahead and edited the version, because it's likely a translation issue. It would be good if my changes were reviewed, though, to ensure that I didn't misinterpret anything. Hopefully it has more of an encyclopedic tone now. See what you think.

- There's one claim about being a trustworthy trader of the WGC, but the source is a dead link. Since it's a claim, it would be good to have a verifiable source. If there's not another reliable source, it should probably be removed, right?--CaroleHenson (talk) 06:33, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help, CaroleHenson. The homepage of the journal Kapital (otherwise a fairly RS if you ignore their op-eds) seems to be dead, so I'm unable to re-verify the WGC claim. I agree it can be removed for the time being. Otherwise, like I said, it's a translation of my original work for the :slwiki, not a copy-paste. — Yerpo Eh? 06:58, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yep, Yerpo, I tried to find a source, and I couldn't come up with one either. I hadn't read your point about your original work - you seemed to do a good job of paraphrasing the info! I was confused by the infobox having 1844 as the year founded. Is that really when it was founded as Zlatarna Celje?--CaroleHenson (talk) 07:07, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Good point, I didn't really check the date that they have in the logo, but I think it is the year when its predecessor was established. I changed to 1947 when it was established in the current form. — Yerpo Eh? 07:13, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- Great, did we agree that since there's not a reliable source for the Kapital source, that the sentence would be removed? That's all I'm seeing at this point.--CaroleHenson (talk) 08:08, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- That's right, CaroleHenson. In principle, I could refer to WP:AGF (a published news article does say that, even if it isn't available online), but I find it suspicious myself that this claim appears nowhere else. I'll put it back later if I find another reliable source. — Yerpo Eh? 09:24, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
- That sounds good, Yerpo, because it's a claim I think it's good to just verify the info. I couldn't find a source that said that the WGC had a list of trustworthy traders anywhere on their website or in the news - but maybe I wasn't using the right words for the search. You could try checking to see if the page was archived with wayback.--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:26, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

- Hi Operosa! Thank you for contacting me. Please refer to David's comment why your submission was declined:
- Comment: You seem to be getting more and more confused as to how to use in-line citation and footnotes. Please read the links in the feedback box at the top of the page. The reference details go between the <ref>...</ref> tags immediately after the text which the reference is supporting. You then, correctly, have the tag {{reflist}} in the "References" section. It isn't clear what you are attempting to achieve with all the extra stuff, some within <ref>...</ref> tags and others not, which you have included in the Reference section but after the {{reflist}} tag.
Cheers, and please reply if you have any more questions! Also, if you need help fixing your article, and making it ready for main space use, please let me know. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:28, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Draft:Somerset Trust Company
Hello CookieMonster755,
I really do need your help and I would really appreciate any and all guidance, advice, and editing you can help me with! Thank you! I feel like I have been working on this for a while, and I have edited and followed three different editors suggestions to get this passed. The article has been significantly changed numerous times since my first submission of the article. I was wondering what it would take to get this article passed. I don't feel like I can be too far away from the article being okay. I have followed every editor's suggestion to me so far, and every time a new editor has a new problem with the article. Should I take out the community initiatives section completely? Or is it just how the section is written? I have seen various other banks on Wikipedia pages with similar sections on their page. For example [National Bank in Eastern Kentucky] has a donations section. Albeit, much smaller than my article. Should I make the section smaller? I wanted to include more than just the history of the bank, and I thought the connection with 9/11 shows the bank's significance. I am open to any suggestion you have. I would really like to get this passed, especially because it takes so long to review the article after I have submitted it. I have been working on this for months now, and I would really like for my next submission to pass. If you could please help edit it and suggest changes for me to make so that there is no doubt the next time I submit, it will be approved. Thank you for your help!

- Jmorange — Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! In the next couple of days, I will be assessing you draft, making changes and edits to make the article more encyclopedic, and than once again re-review to see if its ready for the main space. You will get a notification from me once I am done assessing your article. After I have made changes, and I strongly feel like its main space ready, you will get a notification that your article has been published. If it's not ready, you will get a notification from me that the submission has been declined, and I will provided further feedback why and what major changes need to be done. I look forward to working with you. However, I will try to assess the article as soon as possible, but I can't do it right away, because I have important tasks and other reviews to do before I can attend yours. But please note that I will do it within the next 7 days. Again, I look forward to working with you on this draft. Good luck, and cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:36, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- CookieMonster755, I can't thank you enough! I've been more than frustrated through this process, and I haven't encountered such a helpful editor. I'm really looking forward to working with you as well, and I cannot express to you how grateful I am for your time devoted to helping me get this published. Thank you for your professionalism, and your quick response. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Jmorange (talk) 13:45, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi CookieMonster755, I just received a notification they rejected the changes you made. They still think it's written too much like an essay, and not like a Wikipedia article. I was just wondering, what other edits do you think we should make to the page? Thank you, Jmorange (talk) 12:19, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Jmorange, nice to see you again! Please see Millermk's comments on Draft:Somerset Trust Company, to see what you need to improve. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 14:57, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- CookieMonster755, thank you for working with me an all your help so far. Is there a way I can work with you to get this article passable through you and have you approve it? It's getting hard when a different editor looks at the draft every time. Is there any sway I can work specifically with you on this article? Thanks again, Jmorange (talk) 19:04, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Jmorange, I don't "own" the draft you're creating, so I can't tell other users (especially my co-workers, AfC members) not to edit your draft. Their feedback and edits are welcome. However, I will be happy to work with you on getting this article into the main space. This will be one of my main things on my 'To-do' list (besides my Vandalism training, and vandalism protocol). I will always give you feedback, and make improvements to your draft. I even may ask other edits for a "Second opinion", to see if what other suggestions need to be applied before moving into the main space. Please note: I am not a bot. I can't be on here 24/7 fixing your article, and some days I may not attend to your article (due to "Real life" inquires and college). However, I can assure you I will be working on it as much as I can. I look forward to discussing the matter further. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:30, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Thank you CookieMonster755,I really appreciate it. I understand you can't work on it all the time, and you have plenty of other matters to attend to. I would never ask you to completely devote yourself to this article. I am just asking for your help because I find it easier to work with one person than with a bunch of different people who all might look at things differently. Again, thank you for your help, I really appreciate it! Jmorange (talk) 14:33, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- Jmorange, I cleaned up the article as much as I could, and made it neutral. I re-submitted the article on behalf of you. The reason why I did not move it into the main space myself is because I wanted to get a second opinion to double check if it's neutral, because it had a lot of promotional context. It will be reviewed in a couple of days, and I will notify you if it's accepted into the mainspace or declined with further comments. Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 01:19, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Congratulations Jmorange! Your brand new article Somerset Trust Company has been accepted into the main space! I am very proud of you for making the necessary changes for the article to be apart of Wikipedia's 6 billion articles! You have made much progress, and I hope we work together on more articles in the future! Good luck, and continue your good communication skills with other Wikipedians! Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:31, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
CookieMonster755, I know I thanked you on Winner's page, but I just want to thank you again. I never imagined I cold actually get this article published, and at some points I was ready to give up. Your help came at just the right time before I felt completely overwhelmed and defeated. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for your magnanimity. Thank you for devoting your time to help me, I know at some point there were over 800 articles on backlog, and the fact you chose me to help out of everyone is really humbling. Thank you. Good luck on your future pursuits, and I hope to work with you in the future on new articles. I am still learning how to do everything on here, and I hope to be of assistance to you someday to return the favor. Pax, Jmorange (talk) 13:50, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

The Barnstar of Diligence | ||
For your outstanding efforts to make Wikipedia a lively and friendly place. From your fellow friend, Wikih101 (talk) 19:26, 31 March 2015 (UTC) |
- Thank you so much my friend Wikih101! It means so much to me to be recognized from an editor like you! Since enjoying Wikipedia in August of 2014, I have come along way, and now I am a pending changes reviewer! I am so proud of the changes I make, and the editors I have became friends with. Thank you for your kind messages to me, and I will have you on my watch page, so I can give you a barnstar for your contributions as well. and make sure to put me on your watch list Cheers my friend! CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:25, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- I have proudly added you to my watch list too, and if you need any help with using your pending changes rights, just ask me at my talk page. I have the reviewer rights for awhile and can help you get started with it. By the way, you might want to consider requesting rollback rights as well, it is useful when fighting vandalism :). Again, if you need any help just ask me. Enjoy your wonderful day on Wikipedia! Wikih101 (talk) 04:37, 1 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wikih101 — I love the pending changes rights I have. I have been reverting vandalism, and referenced content with this tool. I would love to request for Rollback rights, but I feel like I need more expertise at reverting vandalism before I request these features. Is there anyway you could teach me to revert vandalism? I contacted several people at the Vandalism academy, but nobody contacted me back about internship with the program. Hopefully, I will get rollback features once I have more expertise at reverting vandalism. I did install Twinkle, which is great for tagging and reverting articles (and article edits). Cheers my friend! CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:24, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- The easiest way to learn how to become more experienced in reverting vandelism is to read this article: Wikipedia:Vandalism since there is many factors one should be aware of when using rollback. Also, I recommend reading this as well if you have not already: When to use rollback. Although it would be difficult to explain everything here right on the talk page, one very important thing to keep in mind is that to always assume good faith when reverting others:). If you have more questions, feel free to drop a note on my talk page. Cheers, Wikih101 (talk) 21:02, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Draft:TINA (program)
Hello CookieMonster755
Thank you for your comments.
1) As I understand referring to external links is not allowed. I will remove them. Can I still refer to the program's webite (when no other references are available) like at a simular program ORCAD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OrCAD references [1]-[7] ?
2) I am not sure what you mean by "this article needs citation clean-up" and "submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources" All references I cited are well known scientific and industry sources.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Best regards
Tengelic (talk) 17:51, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
- Tengelic — I will help you on your article on Monday. I still noticed that their are still external links in the draft. I will give you more input about what needs to be cleaned up on Monday. Can't wait to collaborate with you than. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:44, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

Request on 11:40:17, 6 April 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Tengelic
Hello CookieMonster755
Regarding Draft:TINA (program)
I did not remove the external links yet because ,if possible, I'd like to turn them into references like in ORCAD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OrCAD references [1]-[7] if this is possible. What do you suggest?
Also I am sorry, it seems to me I added this note at a wrong place, and cannot delete. I thought this would be added to our previous talk.
Tengelic (talk) 11:40, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Tengelic — Yes, external links should be in the "external links" section. Wikipedia can't site itself, so you can't use that as a source. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:12, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
Hello Hello CookieMonster755
Thank you for your clarification. I have removed the external link references from the main text, and added one more article for explanaiton of the TINA name. What do you think now?
Best regards
Tengelic (talk) 18:13, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Tegelic! I will be happy to review your article! However, I am very busy fulfilling other tasks for other users, and I am also in college. However, I will definitely get to your draft as soon as possible. You are 4th in place on my To-do list. You can check the status of your request here: User:CookieMonster755/To-do. I loom forward to working with you than. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 19:02, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
House of Köröskényi
Hi!
Thank You for Your insight about the page I've tried to edit. I am just not quite sure what is the problem. There are many published pages without even written sources. I also have some pictures that can corroborate what I've been writing about, but I am not quite sure how to post them, so I didn't mind yet. I am a member of that family and have no interest to publish any false data. Anyway, I will try to put as much references as I know, so hopefully the page will be published after corrections will be done. Enjoy...
Hexenkind410 (talk) 16:24, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you're here. However, please don't justify that your article is usable for main space because there are articles in the main space without references. Articles in the main space that have no references will be deleted. If you need help with editing the article, please say so. Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:25, 7 April 2015 (UTC)
House of Köröskényi
I really do not understand what do You require from me. The sources are written, much more than on some other pages that are published. Could You please note exact requirements for the page to be published? Thanks Hexenkind410 (talk) 18:03, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
Just seeking some guidance as to the parts of this draft that run afoul of WP:MINREF. I know that there is some unsourced stuff about his charity, but I think that can easily be removed as promotional. (I don't think it's likely to be challenged, like a WP:MINREF issue, though.) This is a pretty notable physician. I didn't review it because I ended up expanding it a little bit, but it was pretty clear to me that this was a notable figure in medicine and I think the sourcing goes a long way toward supporting that. I appreciate your help. EricEnfermero (Talk) 04:30, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Hello CookieMonster755 & EricEnfermero thank you for your help. I totally misunderstood the [citation needed] remarks and I am so sorry. I saw those and went and googled Dr. Snodgrasses "Who's Who" notability and his award fellowship and his online listings for articles for pediatric urology and pediatric surgery...should I remove all of that or were those things you were asking for? I guess I am still kind of confused. The placing of the [citation needed] made me think that the reviewer (I want to say "Ahecht" was the reviewers name) was legitimately wanting a reference to prove that Dr. Snodgrass got that listed fellowship and had published all those articles etc. Can you please clarify? I forgot to sign! oops! WhitneyWells (talk) 14:10, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Thank you & a question re: Draft - Colby Keller
Hello,
I'm relatively new to Wiki Editing, and this is the second time my article has been rejected, so I'm hoping you can help me out.
I've edited my draft quite a few times now based on a few editor suggestions (thank you!) and have compared my citations to those used on other existing bios for people in the same field. I'm not sure I'm clear on how some instances of published articles (for example: a Huffington Post piece) is considered Not A Valid Source, while another wiki page I've looked at cites the person's own website as a source and it is acceptable. Wouldn't that be less of an independent source than a HuffPo piece?
Not trying to be contrary at all, I'm just hoping this can be clarified so my article doesn't get rejected a third time :-)
Thank you! LDBlakeley (talk) 14:22, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- LDBlakely — I am happy to help you! Huffington Post articles are a fine reliable source, because it has editorial control, and fact checking. However, please don't justify that you can use an official website as a source because another article is doing the same thing. That's called the "Other crap exists" argument. Str8UpGayPorn.com is not a reliable source, because it has no editorial control (Also, some people will not click the site, they may be afraid that it's spam). Good luck improving your article! CookieMonster755 (talk) 14:55, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks so much! No, I had no intent to actually cite an official website... was just curious is all. I've removed the reference to the Str8UpGayPorn.com award and, to my untrained eye, think that the rest is valid. Should I simply resubmit or is it possible to have someone advise on the remainder beforehand? Thanks again for your help :-) LDBlakeley (talk) 16:53, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's your choice LDBlakeley. You are welcome to resubmit it so a reviewer can see if it's ready for main space. If it's declined, they most likely will give feedback. If you would like somebody to review it before it's resubmitted, I recommend contacting somebody at the Teahouse. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:37, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for all your help - I'll give it another try.

Re: Abby Martin DYK
FYI... I corrected your submission here. I also think your chosen nomination is controversial, as it highlights a negative aspect of her life that she has received a great deal of criticism about. Viriditas (talk) 02:38, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Viriditas - That's an opinion. I can create an alternate hook if you like. CookieMonster755 (talk) 02:40, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- It's an opinion supported by evidence. As the sources in the article show, she has been attacked by various media outlets for her association with the 9/11 truth movement more than 12 years ago. The media, therefore, uses her association (as a student no less) to attack her journalism work as an adult, even though there is no connection. It's an unduly negative hook that highlights an association that, as the article points out, she "no longer subscribes" to. Viriditas (talk) 03:11, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Okay, fine. I will change the hook, just for you Viriditas. CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:13, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

- You've misunderstood. She no longer supports the 9/11 truth movement. That was 12 years ago when she was a student. She has distanced herself from it. The sources use this past association to attack her work in the present, hence the negative and controversial nature of it. Viriditas (talk) 03:11, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Well Viriditas, you can't really control the media, and Wikipedia is not censored. But I have agreed to change the hook. Any ideas? Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:13, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- I have changed the hook Viriditas. I also want to apologize for being rude to you. That was not civil at all. You are right. DYK guidelines say that a DYK nomination can't be negative about a BLP. Thanks for fixing my mistake. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:17, 13 April 2015 (UTC)

17:24:56, 13 April 2015 review of submission by GABO:mi
Hi CookieMonster755,
thanks for reviewing my article on the "European Sequencing and Genotyping Infrastructure". I am a bit confused though in regards to the reason for rejection. It is stated that the article is not supported by a reliable source. However, this article is strongly supported by the European Union or European Commission, its executive body. I don't understand how this is not reliable as it is a government body (similar to the United Nations or the United States of America).
Could you please clarify? Thanks so much!
Best, Andre
GABO:mi (talk) 17:24, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hi GABO:mi! The issue is that it only uses primary sources; government websites related to the article, official website, etc. You need to introduce secondary sources, from news agencies, books, etc. For more information see: WP:COMPANY. Thank you! CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:09, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Request for review
Hi there. Thank you for your recent contributions to my article. Would you be able to review another music-related article of mine? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Jordan_Laws It was declined, but I'm concerned the editor that did so has little to no experience or expertise in this area. Thank you!

- Sherpacream I will be happy to review your article! Please note: It may take a few days before I can give feedback or move the article into the main space if ready, due to another user request I am attending to (and vandalism training and protocol, and "Real life" college), but I can a sure you I will review your article with in the next few days. Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 14:42, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

- Sherpacream - I cleaned up some references and parts to your draft. I re-submitted the article for you. I did not move it into the main space myself, which I usually do but did not this time, because I wanted a second opinion or feedback. Hopefully your draft is accepted into the main space. You will get a notification within the next several days if your draft has been accepted into the main space or declined. Thank you. If you need anything else, please feel free to contact me. Cheers. Question about decline of Draft:Dave Ruch
On the page Draft:Dave Ruch, you declined the page citing "Needs reliable references. 'google.com' is not a reliable references, it's a search engine." The google.com link was actually a link to the google books copy of "Jam Bands": North America's Hottest Live Groups which includes a short except about the subject. Does this not qualify as a reliable source? The article seems to have enough other reliable sources that discuss the author to merit survival at AfD. I was wondering why you decided to decline the draft in this case?
Side note: The author has since removed the link to the google book and resubmitted the article with no other changes. Winner 42 Talk to me! 15:48, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- Winner 42 - I am sorry for that error! I didn't realize till now that the link was to Google books. Google books is a reliable source if you are sourcing a statement or sentence to a book. I thought it was to the Google search engine because it said "Google.com". I am glad you fixed my mistake! Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 18:56, 14 April 2015 (UTC)

Question about Draft: Jack W. Leslie
Thanks for your help on the draft of Jack W. Leslie, which I am resubmitting. I am hoping I have made a start at addressing your concerns. Can you help me figure out how to remove the W. from the article title? It was a mistake and it is preventing me from linking from other articles (e.g. from the Wikipedia page for Weber Shandwick). The name of the subject is just Jack Leslie. Perhaps it could go to the disambiguation page and say "Jack Leslie (public relations executive)." **Update: When I try to resubmit, it redirects me to a page that seems to be resubmission only of a new section, which is blank. Is this correct? It is asking me for a subject heading for it. Not sure what to do. Help appreciated. Thanks again.
- Hi Hjt1312! I will not remove the "W." from his name, because there is other people also named "Jack Leslie". However, if he is not known by his middle initial, than I could move it to the disambiguation you suggested. Also, I resubmitted the draft for you. Good luck! CookieMonster755 (talk) 14:41, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
If you wouldn't mind moving to disambiguation (or telling me how to) I would really appreciate it. Just about all references to him are just to Jack. It was a mistake on my part. Thanks for being so helpful.
- I will move it for you. Thanks for your reply! CookieMonster755 (talk) 15:31, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

participating in your fascinating opinion essay
It is wonderful to have an unique opportunity to describe my viewpoints in regards to unregistered users. Perhaps I should talk about it here before you decide which ones are perfect for the essay. First of all, I do believe that sometimes the IP addresses are more often judged as being unconstructive on Wikipedia as many users, myself included, frequently see that the "usual" users who seemed to be unconstructive are not registered, still, I have seen auto confirmed users making edit mistakes as well. But I personally believe that all users registered or not, should be treated in the same manner when their edits are being assessed by others. Also, the saying "Always assume good faith" remains a very strong adherence of mine as a responsible roll backer. IP addresses play a major role on the site, as I have seen many articles being drastically improved and created by the IP addresses in the first place. (my analysis to be continued...)Wikih101 (talk) 06:51, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wikih101, thank you so much for your introduction thoughts about the topic! I have a couple more questions if you don't mind me asking. Do you think Wikipedia should continue to allow IP editing or should everybody have to sign up with an account to edit Wikipedia? Also, what is an example of IPs doing good edits, What kind of edits, I would say? I would love for you to share as much as you would like about the topic of IPs, because it will make the essay more rich! Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 15:38, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Draft:Alexander Beridze:
Dear CookieMonster755 - I really appreciate your edit on the the photo of Alexander Beridze to remove the extraneous reference at the bottom of the image. I do not speak Georgian, but I asked Alexander Beridze if the correction you made to his name in Georgian on the photo was correct, since it is different that than characters that are used in the text. Alexander said that the Georgian spelling in the text is correct, but the spelling on the photo is incorrect. He believe that you may have confused him with another pianist from the Republic of Georgia who lives in LA. Since I do not know how to correct the spelling on the photo, would you be able to do this so it matches the spelling in the text? Thank you! AnnRos (talk) 20:16, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- AnnRos, I will be happy to help you in correcting the information! CookieMonster755 (talk) 01:16, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
WikiProject X Newsletter • Issue 3
Greetings! For this month's issue...
We have demos!
After a lengthy research and design process, we decided for WikiProject X to focus on two things:
- A WikiProject workflow that focuses on action items: discussions you can participate in and tasks you can perform to improve the encyclopedia; and
- An automatically updating WikiProject directory that gives you lists of users participating in the WikiProject and editing in that subject area.
We have a live demonstration of the new WikiProject workflow at WikiProject Women in Technology, a brand new WikiProject that was set up as an adjunct to a related edit-a-thon in Washington, DC. The goal is to surface action items for editors, and we intend on doing that through automatically updated working lists. We are looking into using SuggestBot to generate lists of outstanding tasks, and we are looking into additional options for automatic worklist generation. This takes the burden off of WikiProject editors to generate these worklists, though there is also a "requests" section for Wikipedians to make individual requests. (As of writing, these automated lists are not yet live, so you will see a blank space under "edit articles" on the demo WikiProject. Sorry about that!) I invite you to check out the WikiProject and leave feedback on WikiProject X's talk page.
Once the demo is sufficiently developed, we will be working on a limited deployment on our pilot WikiProjects. We have selected five for the first round of testing based on the highest potential for impact and will scale up from there.
While a re-designed WikiProject experience is much needed, that alone isn't enough. A WikiProject isn't any good if people have no way of discovering it. This is why we are also developing an automatically updated WikiProject directory. This directory will surface project-related metrics, including a count of active WikiProject participants and of active editors in that project's subject area. The purpose of these metrics is to highlight how active the WikiProject is at the given point of time, but also to highlight that project's potential for success. The directory is not yet live but there is a demonstration featuring a sampling of WikiProjects.
Each directory entry will link to a WikiProject description page which automatically list the active WikiProject participants and subject-area article editors. This allows Wikipedians to find each other based on the areas they are interested in, and this information can be used to revive a WikiProject, start a new one, or even for some other purpose. These description pages are not online yet, but they will use this template, if you want to get a feel of what they will look like.
We need volunteers!
WikiProject X is a huge undertaking, and we need volunteers to support our efforts, including testers and coders. Check out our volunteer portal and see what you can do to help us!
As an aside...
Wouldn't it be cool if lists of requested articles could not only be integrated directly with WikiProjects, but also shared between WikiProjects? Well, we got the crazy idea of having experimental software feature Flow deployed (on a totally experimental basis) on the new Article Request Workshop, which seeks to be a place where editors can "workshop" article ideas before they get created. It uses Flow because Flow allows, essentially, section-level categorization, and in the future will allow "sections" (known as "topics" within Flow) to be included across different pages. What this means is that you have a recommendation for a new article tagged by multiple WikiProjects, allowing for the recommendation to appear on lists for each WikiProject. This will facilitate inter-WikiProject collaboration and will help to reduce duplicated work. The Article Request Workshop is not entirely ready yet due to some bugs with Flow, but we hope to integrate it into our pilot WikiProjects at some point.

T.L. Williams Wiki Draft Question
Hi CM755,
I'm the author of the draft T.L. Williams wiki page, and received a not from you that it was rejected because of lack of verifiable sources. I wasn't sure what the specific issue was. I had 21 references, but was it that I did not follow the referencing procedure properly, or were the references themselves not germane? I would appreciate your comments. Thank you so much
WmsterryWmsterry (talk) 19:18, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
- Wmsterry, the reason why I declined your draft was because the article and references are not formatted correctly. Please read WP:MOS for more information on how to format your draft correctly. Thanks! CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:10, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

- Winner 42 - Thank you so much! This is such an honor to receive this from someone like you! Thanks for your comments for me. You are just as inspiring yourself, Winner. You took Bold action and published articles like the Somerset Trust Company when I did not (for a second opinion, and it was needed by you!) I can't believe vandals have messed with a user like you. They need stop being so harsh! Have you requested page protection? I have been vandalized and successfully been granted protection. You should look into that. You inspire me too, Winner. Keep up your good work, and you are a great AfC member, and It would not be the same without you. Thanks for all you do to make Wikipedia better! I hope we can work together in the future, and talk more. Cheers to you my friend! CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:45, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: His PhD is in Hypocrisy…And Other Poems about My Crappy Ex-Boyfriend
Hello CookieMonster755. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of His PhD is in Hypocrisy…And Other Poems about My Crappy Ex-Boyfriend, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: WP:CSD#A7 does not apply to books. Consider AfD. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 18:58, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- JohnCD - I though it was a poem, not a book. Sorry for the speedy deletion. I will use AfD instead. Forgive me, my fingers are hard at work and can do actions without thinking first, lol. Thanks! CookieMonster755 (talk) 19:00, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
Hello. Thanks for reviewing Darby Creek. It usually takes a couple months to review an article at GAN. User:Jakec has responded to your comments. The national map can be informative, you just need to do some work when you get to the page. ~EDDY (talk/contribs)~ 12:32, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- Editorofthewiki - The initial reading and result of the GAN does not necessarily have to take a month. It could be much shorter than that. It really depends on the editor or the article. I will reread the article for you in case I missed any important details. Thank you! CookieMonster755 (talk) 17:29, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- Editorofthewiki - Your nomination has passed. See my comments on the article talk page. Thank you! CookieMonster755 (talk) 20:58, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

Precious
peace while editing gets hot
Thank you, male Benutzerin interested in articles relating to architecture and politics, for quality articles on daring projects such as 125 Greenwich Street and historic buildings like Aldborough House, for images, for the courageous GA nomination of Maria Radner, for adding requested infoboxes, for a delicious user page and "Having peace while editing gets hot", - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
- Gerda Arendt — I want to thank you so much for noticing my contributions! That's very swell of you. I wanted my userpage to be a resource and inspiration to other users on Wikipedia, and thanks for complimenting the "peace while editing gets hot" section. That was inspired by Wikipedia's "peace while editing gets hot" page, but I changed it up with my own tips and bible verses. I am glad that you noticed, and I will be expanding that too. I also want to THANK YOU for your hard work here on Wikipedia! We could have gotten Maria Radner's article this great without your DYK nomination! That really spiced up the article quality, and my GA nomination perfectly fell inline with your DYK nomination. It was great timing! This is the power of collaboration! I hope we can work together in the future on articles, and expand Wikipedia's quality in articles. Cheers my new found friend! Keep up the wonderful work you do as well! CookieMonster755 (talk) 17:22, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for your thoughts which are - not surprisingly - similar to some I added to my talk today, and here. Articles on her three voice teachers would be nice. I have a FAC to take care of first, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:42, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- You work miracles ;) - thank you for Zarou! - Instead of links to cities where she performed you may want to find the opera houses, such as Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. Radner is a good model for an infobox. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:54, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Aye, okay Gerda Arendt! I will try to find the opera houses she preformed in :) and you're very welcome. I will try to model Zarou's article from Radner's. I will also try to find an image for her. CookieMonster755 (talk) 19:56, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Just Gerda is fine ;) - and no ping needed. My last contralto was Marga Höffgen, another singer identified with Erda. I try to keep the references in a separate section, see if you like that ;) - Thank you for Frey also! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:12, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

- I also uploaded an image of her :) I will try to explained the article as best as I can. Are you willing to nominate it for DYK? :D —CookieMonster755 (talk) 20:46, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Wow Gerda, you're right on the money with the article I just created. Thank you! ;) Any other tasks you need me to do? CookieMonster755 (talk) 21:50, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- No needs, no deadlines ;) - Use "also" less, check if a link lands on a disambiguation (like Missa solemnis) ;) - Read my FAC article and comment. See if you can reduce the red here, always checking talk and history first. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:09, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Aye, good tip! I will check talk history always before translating an article. I
alsoapoligize for the rough translations, but I am glad I have you to clean up my mess (that's a joke) :P Cheers Gerda! CookieMonster755 (talk) 22:12, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

- Bedtime ... - Schiml: I commented out half a sentence with a double Sawallisch which I don't find in German, - but found the German article confusing, with some extra Salome?? Sometimes I write from my own sources instead of translating, for example de:BWV 6, fitting title "denn es will Abend werden" ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:28, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

That's amazing that you got to see Schiml on stage Gerda! You lucky girl ;P Cool that you created her article too. Thanks for reminding me about Radner. I will post a notice about it on the copy-editors page right now. Glad Schiml is in prep stage. Good work my friend, keep it up! Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 05:55, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

- Done. I don't find a ref for some claims which are on the German Wikipedia without a source, and commented them out (Pelleas etc.) Would you find something? - Radner IPA: didn't you say you would find a position where it is not in the way of people finding out when she lived and what she did? It is not of primary importance. I looked at other singers, such as Elisabeth Schwarzkopf: no IPA. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:49, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Gerda, I will try to find some more references, but it can be like a dessert: few references, no search results, but I will try to find some. About Radner: We had a discussion on the talk page. Two votes for the German IPA, one vote for No IPA, and one vote for "neutral", meaning that they did not care if it was in the article or not. It was 7 days, and more votes for the IPA, so I added it into Radner's article. Hopefully your okay with that, but I am just following the discussion Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:17, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

- I remember very well that you said "We can place it wherever it is appropriate, that's not a problem for me." - Please - IF you think it's a good idea to have it, and are supported by exactly one other person, and IF you believe that forms a consensus - find a position other than the very first position when people arrive at the article - which is problematic for me, as explained several times before and above. Compare where it is placed in a FA. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:32, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- ps: in general, it's not the best idea to close a discussion in which one voted, - an independent person should do that. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:35, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Gerda, I do know that I should not close a discussion I voted in (like RM). However, this was a minor discussion, so I decided to close it. Also, it was 7 days, and it stated that it could be closed after 7 days. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 06:38, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- I will not make a fuss over procedure (as I did in the Moonlight Sonata case) if you find a different position for the IPA, or drop something only two people seem to want. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:56, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- Waiting, I looked at Maria Callas, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:14, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- Gerda, we could fix up Maria Callas and get her to GA status. What do you think? CookieMonster755 (talk) 15:32, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- You could do that, - I have too many plans already. I saw that project opera has not many GAs, Patrice Chéreau is one of them, also improved after his death, -Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:06, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
- Gerda Arendt, I was wondering if you would like to help me improve the article Simon Lepper. He is a pianist who accompanied Maria Radner at the Rosenblatt Recitals in London in 2010. His article needs much more information about him, and needs references. I will add an infobox and try to find a free image of him. I think if we really work on it, you could nominate it for DYK, and I would nominate it as GA. If you are busy, than we could work on his article later. I just though he was a good pianist and his article should have more about him. Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 02:33, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- I am busy (have to add to an article today to meet the DYK deadline), but will read and watch, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:18, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

- A good start. I want two things about a singer: roles and reviews, to give an idea about her kind of voice. I am not interest in prizes. (You asked me. Wikipedia's interests are different ;) ) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:35, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
- Nah, you're totally right Gerda Arendt ;P I will try to find any roles she was in. I did give a review about her from The Times however ;) Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 05:41, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

17:40:08, 6 May 2015 review of submission by 69.193.155.139
Hi, I am not sure why my page keeps getting declined. It says "too much advertising" but there is actually no advertising in the description at all. I tried to make it like any other wiki page but keep getting declined. Is there anything else I should know or keep an eye out for while writing?
69.193.155.139 (talk) 17:40, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for your time to message me 69.193.155.139. You're draft has several issues. Your references do not establish the subject as notable. Reference 9 on your draft links to a user page on Wikipedia. Wikipedia does not cite itself, especially a user subpage. That needs to be removed or replaced with a reliable source. Reference #2 has nothing to do with the subject. I do understand you are trying to cite the event, but the statement says he was involved with the Walking Dead. Please cite a reliable source which states about his connection with the Walking Dead, not just a citation to a reference about the event which does not mention him. Also statements like his works have been featured in segments on Anderson Cooper 360°, The Today Show and Good Morning America needs to be cited correctly. If he has been featured on Anderson Cooper 360, cite a reference from CNN's website which talks about Michael's work. Same with The Today Show and Good Morning America. All information in a BLP (Biography of a living person) needs be cited with reliable sources. For more information, see WP:Reliable. I hope my feedback helps, and if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:21, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Draft: Caves of Faribault
Good evening CookieMonster755
Thank you for your input on draft article -- Caves of Faribault. Can you take another look and provide feedback before I resubmit it for approval?
Best Oldvermontcheese — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oldvermontcheese (talk • contribs) 23:37, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Oldvermontcheese - I will take a look at your draft to see if it's ready to resubmit to AfC. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:40, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for asking for review Oldvermontcheese. However, your article still does not seem ready to submit to AfC. The History of the business section needs clean-up. I personally think it's off topic of the article, talking too much about a different company or former company. I also don't think that the Geology section is that relevant to the company. Start by cleaning those up first, and staying on topic. If you have any other questions or comments, please feel free to message me on my talk page. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 23:49, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
Good morning -- thanks for the feedback. I revised the business section and would appreciate your input. The information about the Geology is essential to understand the history of these caves over 150 years and the most recent changes for the business. Your thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oldvermontcheese (talk • contribs) 12:32, 19 May 2015 (UTC) --Oldvermontcheese (talk) 14:27, 19 May 2015 (UTC)oldvermontcheese
Good morning CookieMonster755 Did you have an opportunity to consider my reply and review most recent revisions? I value your input and what to get this right. Thanks Oldvermontcheese (talk) 16:10, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oldvermontcheese — Your draft is currently submitted to the AfC team. An editor will review your draft to see if your revisions will help it be submitted into the main space or not. If declined, they will provide additional feedback as well as like I did. I hope you continue to work with the AfC process. Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 16:36, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
Good evening CookieMonster755 Thank you for re-submitting the draft for me. I have been traveling and did not see your reply until today. I appreciate the time and consideration. Oldvermontcheese (talk) 23:31, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
- You're welcome Oldvermontcheese. CookieMonster755 (talk) 02:12, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi CookieMonster Again, thanks for re-submitting my draft for review and approval. I have not heard anything since you sent it on May 28. I realize how long the process may take, but wondered if you know the status? Thanks again... I look forward to a positive ending. Oldvermontcheese (talk) 16:43, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oldvermontcheese, your draft is pending in our AfC "hotline", and shall be reviewed within c. 3 weeks, due to the AfC process being highly backlogged. If you have any more questions, please feel free to reply. CookieMonster755 (talk) 19:56, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

The title is self explanatory but I guess the pictures isn't...he is Kevin Love who was "NBA's Most Improved Player" few years back and I like that dude ;) So, you as far as I see, you didn't have one of the best starts here but you have come very far CookieMonster755. I look at you and see some reflection of me in 2012. You have improved many folds in such less time. You are doing a fascinating job and it is always encouraging to see editors improvising and taking active part in various fields of the project. Keep up the nice work and thanks for your contributions to the site! :) — Yash! (Y) 12:34, 25 May 2015 (UTC) |
- @Yash!: I really want to take the time to thank you for recognizing me with my tasty edits. The title is wonderful and is truthful. You're very right: Thanks for looking into my history edits ;) I did not start out well. I had been making disruptive articles and edits, and uploading copyright violations. I got blocked for legal threats. It was not a good start. I realized my behavior was not acceptable, so I decided to change. I have made over 30 tasty Wikipedia articles, I have pending changes and rollback rights, and I am a valued member at Articles for creation. I have been trying to improve my reputation here on Wikipedia, and hope to further do so. I am here to help other community editors, and new editors as well. It's a honor to be awarded from an editor like you; Thank-you I hope we work together some day and talk once again on talk pages. Wikipedia values you and I and every member who makes tasty contributions. Keep up your tasty edits as well. Cheers, and Sincerely Yours, CookieMonster755 (talk) 00:56, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you are trolling or being serious here. Either way, it doesn't reflect well on you. - Sitush (talk) 03:49, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Sitush - What? Trolling? I really do miss him. He was a great friend of mine, a true person in the community that I was inspired by. I am not sure if your trolling or being serious, but it does not reflect good on you either. I don't want to cause any edit wars or uncivil communication, please see my "when editing gets hot" section on my userpage. Please remain calm before judging me. I was really missing a great person on the Wiki community, but assuming a false statement ain't gonna help. Remain civil my fellow Wikipedian ;) Cheers. CookieMonster755 (talk) 04:10, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- I am being entirely civil, so please do not raise that trope. OZ and their other accounts have been incredibly disruptive, especially in their pushing of a Hindutva point of view, and I can guarantee you that not all of their socks have been found - in fact, there is a live account right now that almost certainly is them. How you can wish for the return of someone who has caused so many problems since at least 2008 is beyond comprehension. It stretches AGF way beyond the bounds of credulity. Perhaps your misunderstanding derives from not being terribly involved with matters Indian and Pakistani, where much of the damage has been done. - Sitush (talk) 04:17, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Sitush - I understand your concerns. I will not raise any trope, because I want to avoid any uncivil communication. Yes, OccultZone may have made some mistakes in edit waring, but he is a positive and civil editor, at least to my understanding. I am a Christian, and I can forgive people. I can forgive OccultZone for the mistakes he has made. We are Wiki friends I have made mistakes as well, but I asked the lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness, and guess what? I am a great editor here on Wiki, and a great person off Wiki. I may misunderstand what he may have done, but I know anyone can be forgiven. We need to be civil to editors like my friend OccultZone. I hope he does come back with a solid attitude like before, and a great friend. My response to you may not be the response you were expecting, but lets keep our Wiki communication with civil and calm explanations, shall we? Cheers my Wikipedian! ;) CookieMonster755 (talk) 04:25, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oh, they will be back but not as OccultZone or any of their other past accounts. They will just sock again. There is no way "indefinite" means anything other than "infinite" in the case of that particular siteban. - Sitush (talk) 04:28, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Sitush - Sock again? But I want OccultZone to be OccultZone, but evade bans is not okay. I will be praying for OccultZone that he follows the guidelines of the commission who made the decision to ban him. Just keep me up to date, will ya? Thanks my Wiki fellow. CookieMonster: You may want to look up Wikipedia talk:Arbitration Committee/Noticeboard#OccultZone and sockpuppetry, Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/OccultZone/Archive, and User talk:Jimbo Wales#OccultZone and Sock-puppetry. It turns out that OZ has for years operated an extensive sock-farm of sock-puppets who were engaged in long-term disruption, abuse and POV pushing. By the way: on top of you giving OZ a barnstar, you attempting to contact off-wiki [3] the admin who blocked OZ after the Arbcom case does look like trolling. If you've got something to say regarding Wikipedia matters, say it here, on-wiki. E-mail communications should be reserved for rare occasions where some particularly sensitive information is involved (e.g. some issues regarding privacy, real-world identity of specific users, etc). Nsk92 (talk) 08:20, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- The Definition of trolling: make a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them. - Beg my Pardon o Sir Nsk92, please understand me: I don't want to cause drama at all. I am not trolling and I am not trying to troll. All I am saying is that I am friends with OccultZone for all the good things he has done for the community, and the mistakes he has made can be forgiven if he asks for it. Rschen7754, believe me, I don't want anyone to deceive the community, but I do want to forgive people, because I know my Lord and savoir word forgive. Are you a Christian? :) Anyway everybody, I am trying to be as civil and as polite as I can to you administrators, but I did not mean to contact people through Wikipedia's email system. I thought that was on wiki. Guess not. Thanks for my lesson, I feel stupid now ;P I just thought it was appropriate not to ask why he was blocked on his on talk page. Hopefully we can all work things out and be good Wiki buddies, right? Cheers my fellow Wikipedians. Lets fix the communities trust with the forgiveness of my Lord Jesus Christ, Hallelujah! CookieMonster755 (talk) 22:54, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Just a thought - while I am a Christian (and I do display it on my userpage) I can count on one hand how many times I have brought that up onwiki in the last 10 years. Sadly, I've seen too many "Christians" get blocked for copyvios or edit warring or stuff like that. I prefer to live my faith out in the way I act (and I'll admit that yes, sometimes I overreact or react too strongly). I hope to show integrity in whatever I do on this site–and sometimes that means saying the hard truth that the other person does not want to hear. --Rschen7754 05:32, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
- Rschen7754, Thanks for your message. Well, hopefully the 'Christians' who have been blocked will turn away from breaking rules and come to full forgiveness and to restore their reputation on Wikipedia by healing relationships with Wikipedia admins. Jesus is good all the time, Hallelujah! Let's just fix the trust of the community. Yea Rschen7754, I am a Christian, and as a Christian we all need to follow rules and guidelines. As a user of this site, I need to agree to all terms and guidelines, same with anyone else who uses the website. Saying your Christian is not an excuse for doing bad things I agree, but they can ask for forgiveness if they truly want forgiveness. We don't know if they are truly asking for forgiveness, only the blood of Jesus Christ can tell. We just got to trust on the lord that we can unblock users, or take whatever action is necessary according to Wikipedia guidelines. Keep up the good work, Jesus bless ya, Cheers.

Spencer Capital Holdings Page Comments question
Hi!
I have a few questions about your edits. You said that this page needs an introduction. It is just a basic company page, so what would the introduction entail? There is already a company page "Spencer Re" that this page will be linked to. The subsections are part of the same holdings company.
Let me know your thoughts! Thanks :)
Alimac1026 (talk) 15:13, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Alimac1026! Thank you for posting on my talk page for getting help! However, I need to get some questions cleared up about your draft Spencer Capital Holdings. You have a draft about it here (which I declined), and you also have your Spencer Capital Holdings content on your userpage. I was wondering which one is your main draft? We don't have 2 drafts of the same subject. If you are going to submit a draft for articles for creation, it will be declined because you have another duplicate draft with the same content. Please pick a main draft, and submit the one you don't want for deletion. One draft for the article you want to publish makes it much easier. After we get these comments resolved, I will be happy to continue to work with you. Thank you for your inquire today. Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 16:54, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

RfA Consideration
Hi CookieMonster755. I saw you had listed yourself as those who would consider filing an RFA for someone. As such, I would appreciate your review, comments and if it is merited your RFA for me. Admittedly I'm not much for new content creation, at least on a large scale...mainly because it reminds me too much of research papers in college. I find myself more content with helping new users, fighting vandalism, making smaller article contributions that are significant in their own way, recently helping with creating new user accounts, and processing files for upload. As such, I look forward to what you can offer me and I thank you for your time and consideration! RegistryKey(RegEdit) 01:30, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- RegistryKey, thank you so much for your message! I would love to nominate you for adminship! I have set up a page (User:CookieMonster755/RfA/RegistryKey) to review to see if I want to nominate you for the RfA process. Once the review is complete and I want to nominate you, I will set up a RfA nomination for you. I am excited to see you possibly becoming a future admin! This process will take at least 7 days at the most. Cheers! CookieMonster755 (talk) 01:46, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
- Hello RegistryKey, I am sorry to inform you: your RfA nomination has been Declined. Please see my comments here. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Thanks. CookieMonster755 (talk) 03:07, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

WikiProject X Newsletter • Issue 4
Hello friends! We have been hard at work these past two months. For this report:
For the first time, we are happy to bring you an exhaustive, comprehensive WikiProject Directory. This directory endeavors to list every single WikiProject on the English Wikipedia, including those that don't participate in article assessment. In constructing the broadest possible definition, we have come up with a list of approximately 2,600 WikiProjects. The directory tracks activity statistics on the WikiProject's pages, and, for where it's available, statistics on the number of articles tracked by the WikiProject and the number of editors active on those articles. Complementing the directory are description pages for each project, listing usernames of people active on the WikiProject pages and the articles in the WikiProject's scope. This will help Wikipedians interested in a subject find each other, whether to seek feedback on an article or to revive an old project. (There is an opt-out option.) We have also come up with listings of related WikiProjects, listing the ten most relevant WikiProjects based on what articles they have in common. We would like to promote WikiProjects as interconnected systems, rather than isolated silos.
A tremendous amount of work went into preparing this directory. WikiProjects do not consistently categorize their pages, meaning we had to develop our own index to match WikiProjects with the articles in their scope. We also had to make some adjustments to how WikiProjects were categorized; indeed, I personally have racked up a few hundred edits re-categorizing WikiProjects. There remains more work to be done to make the WikiProject directory truly useful. In the meantime, take a look and feel free to leave feedback at the WikiProject X talk page.
What have we been working on?
- A new design template—This has been in the works for a while, of course. But our goal is to design something that is useful and cleanly presented on all browsers and at all screen resolutions while working within the confines of what MediaWiki has to offer. Additionally, we are working on designs for the sub-components featured on the main project page.
- A new WikiProject talk page banner in Lua—Work has begun on implementing the WikiProject banner in Lua. The goal is to create a banner template that can be usable by any WikiProject in lieu of having its own template. Work has slowed down for now to focus on higher priority items, but we are interested in your thoughts on how we could go about creating a more useful project banner. We have a draft module on Test Wikipedia, with a demonstration.
- New discussion reports—We have over 4.8 million articles on the English Wikipedia, and almost as many talk pages as well. But what happens when someone posts on a talk page? What if no one is watching that talk page? We are currently testing out a system for an automatically-updating new discussions list, like RFC for WikiProjects. We currently have five test pages up for the WikiProjects on cannabis, cognitive science, evolutionary biology, and Ghana.
- SuggestBot for WikiProjects—We have asked the maintainer of SuggestBot to make some minor adjustments to SuggestBot that will allow it to post regular reports to those WikiProjects that ask for them. Stay tuned!
- Semi-automated article assessment—Using the new revision scoring service and another system currently under development, WikiProjects will be getting a new tool to facilitate the article assessment process by providing article quality/importance predictions for articles yet to be assessed. Aside from helping WikiProjects get through their backlogs, the goal is to help WikiProjects with collecting metrics and triaging their work. Semi-automation of this process will help achieve consistent results and keep the process running smoothly, as automation does on other parts of Wikipedia.
Want us to work on any other tools? Interested in volunteering? Leave a note on our talk page.
The database report which lists WikiProjects according to the number of watchers (i.e., people that have the project on their watchlist), is back! The report stopped being updated a year ago, following the deactivation of the Toolserver, but a replacement report has been generated.
Until next time,

Hi, I had some free time today and went about finding more/better references for your article. I removed the New York Times ref because it wasn't about Pearson at all. I was unable to find the names of Pearson's parents, though USA Today did tell me his father's profession. My only question is why you mentioned "a series of YouTube videos"? It seems that only the February video went viral and garnered all that media attention. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 19:22, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yoninah, thanks for your help. The reason why I said series of videos, is because he has had attention for more than one video, but I can fix that sentence if you want me too. CookieMonster755 (talk) 19:52, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- I think you should add a line about the other videos he has posted on his channel (or, without listing them, just mentioning that he has posted other videos). Yoninah (talk) 19:56, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yoninah, I will mention that he has posted other videos as well without listing them. CookieMonster755 (talk) 19:58, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
