Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Hamza Ahmad Wiki Scientist. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Al-Alia International Indian School, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
- instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 07:34, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
August 2017
editHello, I'm AllyD. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Al-Alia International Indian School, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. A Criticism section can be added but only if its content is entirely verifiable in reliable 3rd party sources. Text such as "Many Indians (mostly parents and students) were continously complaining..." and "some parents complain..." and anecdotes are not appropriate content. AllyD (talk) 11:19, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Al-Alia International Indian School, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 11:31, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:AYIS Boys' Section.png
editThanks for uploading File:AYIS Boys' Section.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 13:48, 10 August 2017 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Al-Yasmin International School official logo.png
editThank you for uploading File:Al-Yasmin International School official logo.png. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Whpq (talk) 10:38, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

Unsourced claims again
editOnce more, text such as "But some say that Thomas Chandy is not the founder of the school whereas he purchased it later, however the official website of the school claims that Thomas Chandy founded the school" is not appropriate content. Speedy deletion nomination of Zain Pharma
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Zain Pharma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — InsertCleverPhraseHere (or here) 08:45, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Royal Saudi Navy. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.

Speedy deletion nomination of Manzoor Group of Institutes
editHello Hamza Ahmad Wiki Scientist,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Manzoor Group of Institutes for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

editPlease do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Reis (film). There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. You have been previously notified about MOS:FLAG. Stop adding this clutter to infoboxes. Whpq (talk) 13:49, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
The article Manzoor English Coaching Center has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence provided or found to indicate that this enterprise is of encyclopaedic notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AllyD (talk) 14:30, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

- Regarding Speedy Deletion
- Hello, Hamza Ahmad Wiki Scientist. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but a page you created , FTD Facts, has been deleted as meeting one or more of the Categories for Speedy Deletion. See the message above this one for more information about why this was deleted.
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects of articles must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources providing verifiable information. Someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject.
- Any deficiencies should be remedied before reposting as they can lead to repeated deletions.
- Wikipedia is not a webhost. You may wish to consider alternative outlets.
- If you want to try again, please use the Article Wizard to guide you through the creation process.
- You can make test edits in your sandbox.
- You may find this tool useful for finding sources: Google custom search
- Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.
- Don't feel discouraged. My first attempts at creating articles were deleted too.
Shaykh Makki Al Hijazi moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Shaykh Makki Al Hijazi, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Mduvekot (talk) 20:35, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
The article Shaykh Makki Al Hijazi has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The article Yara International School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No indication of notability per WP:NSCHOOL, WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES or WP:GNG; no significant coverage online in WP:Reliable sources in English or Arabic.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The Mighty Glen (talk) 13:18, 26 February 2018 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of KAV Marketing and Engineering
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on KAV Marketing and Engineering requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. editHi, thanks for message. Please add your messages to the bottom of the talk page, or they may be overlooked. Please give your messages headings if it's a new topic. If you post an article it will be assessed as it stands. If you don't want that to happen, you should write it as a draft. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management. You gave no references of any kind. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
- There is nothing in what you posted to show that the company meets our notability criteria. To show notability you need hard verifiable facts such as the number of employees, turnover or profits, you give us no facts about the company itself at all, just vague claims about who they represent.
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced or self-sourced claims presented as fact include: represents many international companies in India, followed by a supposed list without any independent third-party sources to show it is true. You can't just post your own opinions or WP:OR on Wikipedia.
- If you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. In particular, if you work directly or indirectly for the company, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Hamza A. Durrani. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Hamza A. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above
I note that you rarely or never add references or edit summaries to your edits, although most appear to be innocuous enough. Please see Help:Referencing for beginners if you are not sure how to do them Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:48, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Ali Banat
editHello Hamza Ahmad Wiki Scientist,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ali Banat for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.
As the creator of the page you may not removed a speed deletion tag, see WP:CSD for details. I have reverted your change. You have already contested the deletion on the talk page. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Ali Banat
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Ali Banat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ2wAZc9ABs. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:20, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

RonBot (talk) 17:24, 21 October 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo of MBSC.svg
editThanks for uploading File:Logo of MBSC.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:36, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

. ~Anachronist (talk) 07:23, 27 February 2019 (UTC)The article Abdul Rahman Al Hammad has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references.
--- Coffeeandcrumbs 11:58, 15 March 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Pramod Laddu Bhandar
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pramod Laddu Bhandar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.
SɱαɾƚყPαɳƚʂ22 (Ⓣⓐⓛⓚ) 18:11, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Continental Wrestling Entertainment
editHello, Derivator2017,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Continental Wrestling Entertainment, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

North8000 (talk) 05:38, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
@North8000: Hey North8000, thanks a lot for appreciating my work. It means a lot to me as a beginner on Wikipedia. I have created a similar work, Yara International School, however it has been contested for deletion despite the article meeting the notability criteria. Can you please vote in the deletion discussion page to keep the article else my one month of hardwork would be gone. Thanks a lot! Derivator2017 (talk) 18:42, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Derivator2017:Thanks for the thanks and the ping. Please read what I wrote at the AFD and then also read this section which describes the sourcing GNG: Wikipedia:Notability#General notability guideline. It would take a book to explain all of this but the bottom line here is that you need to find 1-2 sources that are independent of the school that discuss the school in some depth. (or if there are already 1-2 in there, point them out) And then incorporate them into the article. They do not need to be in English. For example, articles about the school (not about something / somebody else and just mentioning the school) from a newspaper, even if not in English. Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 20:20, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
@North8000: I am really sorry. I wasn't even aware if a thing like CANVASS even existed. Didn't want to put a dent on your reputation. Sorry once again. Derivator2017 (talk) 21:58, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
- No problem. It doesn't hurt me at all. It's usually fine to ask somebody to take a look at something and make their own decision. It's not fine to ask them to do a certain thing rather than making their own decision. North8000 (talk) 22:07, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, absolutely. But I just said incase "if you don't mind". Anyways, got it. My apologies and thanks once again. Derivator2017 (talk) 22:34, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
@North8000: Hey North8000, sorry for disturbing you again, but I just want to be enlightened regarding the discussing page. I think the AfD is dry from the past 3 days. So, can you please tell me what will happen if the page doesn't come to a conclusion or if no one discusses anything for long. How can one close the AfD discussion and how shall it be removed? Thanks. Derivator2017 (talk) 16:52, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Nobody knows that answer now. My guess: Assuming nobody else adds anything, it might get closed in a few days or re-listed for an additional 1-2 weeks for additional input. Then someone will close the AFD. If there are no more comments, and it is closed properly, the result will be either "no consensus to delete" in which case nothing happens and the article stays, or to draftify in your user space (without salting the title) for improvement. Of course there are a lot "ifs" in my statement. Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 17:07, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
@North8000: Hey North8000, I hope you're doing great. Thanks for your remarks on my rewriting efforts. It seems like someone has put the page on WP:RELIST, and as far as I have read, it happens only when Wikipedians don't reach to a clear consensus regarding what should be done with the fate of a certain page. But while reading about the WP:RELIST, I couldn't comprehend most of its sentences. Can you please break it down for me? Like what will happen if seven day period exceeds without a consensus or anything you feel I should be knowing regarding the page. Derivator2017 (talk) 17:27, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Happy to. Relist isn't for not having received a consensus. The main reason is for not having received enough participants. Also for a multitude of reasons where it might be good to allow for extra time, which is specifically what I asked for in my first post there. My advice would be for you to choose between one or more of these various possibilities:
- Continue to do general work on the article and maybe indicate at AFD that you intend to continue to improve it. This is not directly to relevant the main question at AFD (WP:Notability) but may still be a factor
- Sit back and relax and let whatever happens happen. It will probably turn out as "Keep" or "No Consensus to delete"....in both cases the article survives in article space.
- Look for or identify 1 or more additional WP:GNG type sources (independent sources with some in-depth coverage of the school) Include in the article and note such at the AFD.
- Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 20:09, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- @North8000: Thanks for your explanation. Alright, I think my work on the article did make a difference when an editor who once thought of drafting it has now changed his mind. And, I think relisted discussions are supposed to be closed after 7 days, i.e., on 3 February (correct me if I am wrong). And lastly, can someone place it on AfD again once the discussion has ended (be it "Keep" or "No Consensus to delete")? Derivator2017 (talk) 07:08, 1 February 2022 (UTC)

editPaid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Hello Vexations. It appears that there was a little misunderstanding about my recent edits. I am an independent editor who serves no one's interests and who just tries to be a genuine contributor. If you think my content doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines, feel free to contest its existence. Regards (User talk:Derivator2017) 13:11, 6 January 2022 (UTC+05:30)
- I think it is possible for a volunteer editor to have a legitimate, honest interest in a company that is based in an entirely different region than where they reside and provides a business service that they have no need for. But it would be unusual, wouldn't it? What did you find so fascinating about Ebix? Vexations (talk) 12:20, 6 January 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as ED Galgotia & Sons Booksellers. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. Onmyway22 talk 16:00, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Riyadh into Old Riyadh. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Also, when copying from one article to another, please be sure to also copy details of the supporting citations and texts. Thank you, — Diannaa (talk) 23:11, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Salam Park Riyadh aerial view.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Salam Park Riyadh aerial view.jpg.
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 23:36, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Yara school aerial view Feb 2013.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Yara school aerial view Feb 2013.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 23:38, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Al Rabwah Riyadh.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Al Rabwah Riyadh.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:05, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
Nomination of Taqwa International School for deletion
editThe article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Taqwa International School until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.
The article Al Salihiyah (Riyadh) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Fails WP:GEOLAND as a neighborhood in outer Jeddah; no real evidence of notability
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ovinus (talk) 02:36, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- Note: I see from your talk page that you've created a lot of articles which have been found to be nonnotable. I know getting your work deleted is very discouraging, so I'd suggest you get confirmation from other editors that a given topic is probably notable before you write an article about it. Thanks! Speedy deletion nomination of File:Hokair Land, 2021.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Hokair Land, 2021.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://twitter.com/ElDHME/status/1386723542297939972/photo/1. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 21:31, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Layali Adan restaurant.jpeg
editThank you for uploading File:Layali Adan restaurant.jpeg.
Vladlen Manilov ✉ / 14:00, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Al Murabba Square moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Al Murabba Square, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 17:41, 16 September 2022 (UTC)
September 2022
editThank you for your work on Draft:Al Murabba Square. Not all topics are notable (suitable for a stand-alone Wikipedia article). The Draft:Al Murabba Square article does not cite sources establishing notability, so it may get deleted. A source shows that the article topic is notable when it:
- contains significant coverage: it addresses the topic directly and in multiple paragraphs of detail. A source with only trivial or off-topic mentions of the subject doesn't count.
- is a reliable source: it has a reliable publication process, or a suitable expert author (look up the reliability of common sources, or discuss). Newspapers and books usually meet this criteria, company and personal websites usually do not.
- is independent of the subject: it isn't produced by the article's subject or someone similarly affiliated with it. For example, these are not independent: the subject's press releases, autobiographies, website, and interviews.
If you can find notability-establishing sources, please add them: more than one is needed unless the applicable subject-specific notability guideline states otherwise. Specific questions can be answered live at the Teahouse help forum. Thank you. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 17:42, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

On the usage of magic words
editHi Derivator2017, you've probably noticed that I've undone a couple of your edits which added the __INDEX__ and __NEWSECTIONLINK__ magic words to the articles Al Murabba (diff) and National Museum Park (diff). This is because __INDEX__ has no effect on pages in the article namespace which are either patrolled or more than 90 days old - there's a helpful table on WP:INDEXING which shows when it is effective. Additionally, __NEWSECTIONLINK__ is intended for use on discussion pages which aren't in the one of the talk namespace, such as the Village Pump, not on articles. stwalkerster (talk) 15:10, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
- Can I ask why you've just restored these again to National Museum Park? stwalkerster (talk) 17:11, 19 September 2022 (UTC)

Your sandbox
editWhen you add new material containing the {{coord}} template to your sandbox, please use the display parameter "inline" rather than "inline,title" in that template. If there is more than one such template set for title display on a page, it results in an error message on the page and adds the page to the maintenance category Category:Pages with malformed coordinate tags. I'm getting rather weary of editing your sandbox so that it doesn't appear in that category, making it more difficult to spot articles that actually need to be fixed. File copyright problem with File:Al Doho signboard, 2023.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Al Doho signboard, 2023.jpg.
This file is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the file description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.
Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. — Ирука13 06:40, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
