editMaryana here. Just dropping by to say that it was awesome meeting you in D.C., and I hope we get another chance to hang out sometime soon. If you ever find yourself in SF for some random reason, you're now legally required to come by the office and say hi ;) Accedietalk to me 23:26, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- Haha, and here I was thinking "crap, who would I need to bribe to at the Foundation to get me into the office for a tour"... So be warned, I'm totally going to take you up on that offer. Similarly, if you ever find yourself in Nashville, consider yourself as having a tour guide.
Also! I'm really happy that I was right in thinking that your screen name started with an A; I was trying to write down everyone's names as I met them, but I'd only gotten a brief glance at your name tag, and I only had your WMF account written down on my list. Hi EVula! It was a pleasure meeting you at Wikimania 2012! Hope to see you again next year!

- You too! Though I have no idea how the hell I'll be able to make it to Hong Kong... EVula // talk // ☯ // 17:14, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- I, too, really enjoyed seeing you! Glad you could make it, running into folks like you made the conference such a blast. I dunno about Hong Kong, either... --David Shankbone 17:26, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- Total agreement! I had a great time finally meeting people that I've known for years. It's always nice to put a face to a name, though you're a lot more recognizable than most. Almost like you know how to work a camera or something... ;) EVula // talk // ☯ // 17:30, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
- BTW, I was barking to Kirill at Wikimania about this sound file I took during the 2007 protest against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaking at Columbia University, which is one of the most favorite things I've ever captured. It is a God-fearing black lady from Harlem arguing with a bald white atheist guy about religion, and it's perhaps the most awesome interaction ever. I think you, in particular, will get a kick out of it. Possibly my favorite lines: Religious lady: "Who do you think made you?!" Atheist guy: "My mother!" Religious lady: "Who made your mother?!" Atheist guy: "My grandmother!" But really, so many great soundbites from it. I listen to it about once every two weeks to make me laugh. --David Shankbone 02:55, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- Ahaha, that photo is awesome. I'll have to check out the sound bite when I'm not on Skype. EVula // talk // ☯ // 05:02, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- Oh my, that soundbite is hilarious, and the photo paints an even funnier picture of the interaction. I'll never understand why folks can't have a civilised discussion about such things. — Huntster (t @ c) 05:37, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

- I'll respond to it when I can; the current show I'm working on has me away from my email (or rather, the one I do Wikipedia stuff thru) during the day, and last night was opening night, so I got home WAY too late to respond to anything. EVula // talk // ☯ // 21:06, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
