RfA reform
editAs one of the major campaigners for RfA reform for several years, I can't understand how I ever missed your RfDA idea, and I only happened on it an hour ago from the link at WT:RfA. Hence you may be interested in leaving your opinion or comments on the talk page of this draft I began working on a few days ago. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 22:46, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- Eh, I didn't really push it terribly hard, so it was easy to miss; I honestly just didn't have the energy or time to try to get it out there like it needs to be. But I still think it's a pretty viable idea... EVula // talk // ☯ // 23:03, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, wrong link. try this one - I would really appreciate your input. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 23:26, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
- Don't take my silence as a lack of interest; I'm just taking my time on this. There are elements I like, and elements I don't; it's certainly a very intriguing approach to handling this, though. EVula // talk // ☯ // 17:43, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

- Do bear in mind however, that it's not a definitive draft, and that it's not directly proposing anything either. It's simply an RfC to test the community's opinions if and when such a solution were to be proposed. I'm not even saying that I'm personally in favour of the solution, but I'm a great believer in not wasting the community's time on heated discussions if there is not going to be anything to discuss ;) ~ Dank bravely tried a series of RfCs on similar lines (garnering opinion) earlier this year, but there were simply far too few respondents to be able to draw any conclusions on RfA reform. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:31, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
- No worries, I completely get that it's just a "testing the waters" sort of thing. My own proposal was very laid back, but honestly, given the current environment, I'm giving serious thought to trying to revive it. I feel like it's got some real potential for alleviating a lot of concerns about adminship's permanency. EVula // talk // ☯ // 06:37, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

Goblin shark
editHi, I don't know if you're still watching goblin shark but as I anticipated, the edit-warring has resumed after the block expired, this time from an IP. I'm not certain what the best course of action is; it's been evident for some time that there is a concerted effort here to subvert Wikipedia procedure and push this specific edit. I'm seeking your advice since you seem to have more experience in these matters. -- Yzx (talk) 17:51, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- I've protected the page again, but honestly, I don't have all that much experience with long-term content disputes like this. It's pretty clear that it's just a single person making all of these edits, but it doesn't seem like something major enough to have a CheckUser weigh in on (though I have a sneaking suspicion that I know who the puppet master is). EVula // talk // ☯ // 22:01, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
- @EVula: please see the comments that I posted on Mr. Stradivarius' talk page relative to your comment above. Thanks! —Grollτech (talk) 21:26, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think it's pretty obvious that Edna is employing some sort of alternate accounts/IPs, if he himself isn't someone else's alternate account (I've got a suspicion, but don't want to post it on-wiki because it's largely unsubstantiated). EVula // talk // ☯ // 14:45, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, about that you were both clearly in the minority on that and raised a lot of eyebrows with your actions. DOCTOREdna — Preceding unsigned comment added by DrEdna (talk • contribs) 17:36, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
Well, looks like Edna and his bunch are at it again. -- Yzx (talk) 17:44, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

For becoming the poster boy of failed RfB noms. But, more importantly, being a good sport about it. Haha FWIW, I think you're an excellent 'cratsop. Signalizing (talk) 02:55, 18 July 2013 (UTC) |
- Hah, thanks. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 03:17, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
(the short response belies genuine gratitude. I just don't have anything particularly smartass-ish to say right now (gimme time, I'll get there))

Orphaned non-free media (File:Mortal Kombat - Kreate A Kombatant.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:Mortal Kombat - Kreate A Kombatant.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. - File restored. No clue why it got removed (though the the person who removed it is someone I blocked back in the day, oddly enough). EVula // talk // ☯ // 05:32, 8 September 2013 (UTC)
