@Xl112233 YOur edits were both reverted. The first used too many buzzwords and was not encyclopedic, and the second was to a predatory journal which you would likely not have known. As these were in good faith efforts, I will give you credit for them. Current with Week 3. FULBERT (talk) 17:43, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

Week 4/ Jiangjiao Fan

The first article I edited was Fast food advertising. This article talks about how fast-food advertising targets young people. And currently, the fast food restrictions are not very effective. I added some data about how much fast-food companies invest each year and some details about what tactics fast-food companies use to attract adolescents. Here is the diff. During this process, I learned more information about how governments are changing and making new policies to reduce fast-food advertisements.

The second article I edited was Added sugar. This article includes where added sugar usually exist and how people are restricting those added sugar. I added some facts about the drawbacks of overeating added sugar. Here is the diff. When I read this article, I knew many food contain added sugar. And people should try to intake less added sugar in order to keep health.

Ef2467 (talk These are not the highest quality of sources, but ok for now. Current with Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 13:00, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Week 5/ Jiangjiao Fan

The first article I edited was Advertising to children. This article mainly talks about how TV advertisements affect children's food choices. Governments are trying to regulate those fast food ads and reduce exposure to those ads for children. I added more details about why children are attracted to fast food ads and used an example of McDonald's Happy Meal. Here is the diff. After reading this article, I know how different countries are making their food marketing policies.

The second article I edited was Flavored milk. This article includes much information about the negative effects of drinking flavored milk, especially for children. I added some facts about food policy toward sugar. The United States has already has the policy about children's sugar intake, like flavored milk. However, there are still many states are providing those non-nutritive and high-sugar milk to children. Here is the diff. After viewing this article, I understand it is unhealthy for people to intake flavored milk. Policy makers should take more actions to reduce chances of drinking high-sugar beverages for children. Jiangjiao Fan (talk) 01:29, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

@Jiangjiao Fan Nice edits. Current with Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 13:00, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Week 4/ SJ4452

I edited the following two articles: Law of attraction (New Thought) and the link to its diff and Affirmations (New Age) and the link to its diff.

In the first article, Law of attraction (New Thought), I added a section that looks into the psychological and financial impacts of manifestation and law of attraction beliefs, in the process addressing the existing research gap regarding the practical outcomes and risks associated with these beliefs.

In the second article, Affirmations (New Age), I added a section that incorporated some recent empirical studies that link mindfulness and self-regulation, therefore addressing the research gap in the psychology behind affirmations.

In this process, I learned how important it is to carefully check and support claims in the field of pseudoscience with empirical evidence and scientific research. Sj4452 (talk) 03:07, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

@Sj4452 (talk) Nice edits. Current with Week 4. FULBERT (talk) 13:00, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Week 5/ SJ4452

I edited the following two articles: Positivity effect and the link to its diff and Pseudoscience and the link to its diff.

In the first article, Positivity effect, I added some empirical research on how self-talk supports the positivity effect and the psychology behind its practice.

In the second article, Pseudoscience, I added empirical research findings about cognitive biases in believers, filling in research gaps about why pseudoscientific beliefs persist and still spread.

In this process, I learned how topics related to pseudoscience and psychology can be very sensitive and should be dealt with carefully to make sure to add only empirical and scientifically backed research.

Sj4452 (talk) 03:45, 14 April 2024 (UTC)

@Sj4452 (talk) YOur second article is one you already edited, but what you added was of high quality so I will give it to you. Current with Week 5. FULBERT (talk) 13:00, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Wikidata weekly summary #622

Week 5/ yL10229

The first article I edited was on LGBT+ media. The diff is [diff]. The second article I edited was on Enterprise resource planning. The diff is [diff]. Exploring topics like LGBT+ media and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) on Wikipedia provided valuable insights. I discovered the depth of subtopics within each subject, highlighting Wikipedia's role as a gateway to diverse information. It's fascinating how a single topic can lead to a journey of learning and discovery. YL10229 (talk) 15:07, 15 April 2024 (UTC)

@YL10229 (talk) Your first edit is fine but your second edit points to a database and not to the actual article. Please fix this to point to the DOI and then I will review it. Do this in a new post on my Talk page and point to this one and I will review. FULBERT (talk) 13:00, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
