Banderas Monumentales
Thanks! I was actually trying to add more information to the image itself, but I ended up screwing up the file. I'm actually glad you reverted it back to how it was because the image shows now. Anyways, it'd be nice if the picture mentioned that it's the largest of all monumental flags. Is that possible? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.218.221.170 (talk) 13:17, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Nystagmus = "dancing eyes"
Hi, I've just noted your revert to 173.21.26.160's edit to nystagmus. A quick Google tuned up the reference http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/QAA401094/Dealing-With-Dancing-Eyes.html which starts with the line 'Nystagmus, sometimes called "dancing eyes, ..."'. It is written by a Harvard educated US doctor so in the absence of any argument I will assume it is reliable. I'll reinstate the edit (with a proper citation) for you and let the IP know that it wasn't vandalism. Regards, Martin of Sheffield (talk) 11:28, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Talk:List of best-selling albums
Hi
You removed a post from Talk:List of best-selling albums, with this edit: [2]. Although the post was badly formatted, it was, in fact, a perfectly valid question, as you will see from the responses made and actions taken by another editor after I replaced the post, and it has resulted in improvements to the list article.
I wasn't actually going to leave you a note about my replacement, but then I noticed the box on your talk page saying "If you feel that I have reverted an edit or issued a warning in error, please click here and let me know", which I think is an admirable thing to ask for.
Reverting vandalism can be a thankless task, and it's obvious you do great work in that area, you have my thanks for that. Without editors such as yourself contributing their time in this area wikipedia would soon deteriorate into an unreliable mess - so keep up the good work. Thanks. Begoon talk 02:45, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
- I am grateful to you Begoon. I am glad that my talk page notice is being taken in note. Thanks for the good wishes. I admit my flaw here. I did not revert him because of his bad formatting, but actually I took the talk page as an "article", and reverted him. My regrets, and sorry for the late reply. Faizan 06:40, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
- I've made far worse errors myself - and I was always grateful to people who pointed them out - it's a wiki, after all, and errors take a couple of clicks to fix. Hijra or Hijrat
About the migration of our Holy Prophet (SW), the wiki article uses Hijra spelling. Recently someone rendered it as Hijrat. I know the latter one is used in Indian subcontinent. But do you know which one is correct, and which one is used in Arabic? The Arabic article uses هجرة which, I suppose pronounces Hijra. Am I right?--AsceticRosé 10:58, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Well actually, the ‘h’ at the end (ة) is an ‘h’ in shape (ه), but has two dots of ت above it. It can be both ‘t’ as well as ‘h’. When a word having ة at the end is pronounced alone, it is an ‘h’, but when in a sentence, it is a ‘t’ most of the time. Following this Arabic convention, in the title, it should be ‘Hijrah’—or to be more exact in the transliteration—‘Hijraḧ’. Concerning the Persian/Urdu usage, it is always ‘Hijrat’ (with the normal ت, no ة). But the Arabic orthography is different here and as the original word is of Arabic origin, rules of Arabic must be followed.—Шαмıq ☪ тαʟκ✍ @ 11:08, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, agreed with Wamiq. We have to follow Arabic rules it will be pronounced as "Hijrah". Rose, it is the same thing like reciting the Holy Quran. It is produced as "Hijrah", if it is the last word of an Yah, otherwise, when it is joined with another word, it will be "Hijat". For example: "Hijrat al-Rasul". Faizan 06:28, 22 June 2013 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion
I'm looking to re-establish my page: EatWith.
What criteria am I lacking? Michelle Mozan93 (talk) 07:34, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Michelle. Are you talking about this company? This hotel does not seems notable to me. Notability should be well-established and it should not be temporary. Your article was tagged with G11, that is, It looked like an advertisement rather than an article, and thus it was speedy deleted. Please try to adress all the concerns, and after that you are welcome to recreate your article. Faizan 10:21, 24 June 2013 (UTC)
Faizan, Firstly, it is not a hotel. It is a platform for underground dining. Travelers can eat in the homes of locals. It is also not temporary. I would closely compare it to Airbnb, and so I modeled the page after theirs. Please re-visit and let me know if this helps clear the problem. Mozan93 (talk) 08:31, 25 June 2013 (UTC) Michelle
- Well Michelle, improve the draft, make it according to the neutral point of view. It should not look like an advertisement. That's all. Faizan 08:56, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi Faizan, I deleted the section of Pakistan Army Headhunting article from the page 'Headhunting' because that seems to be a one sided propagated story.

Edit Taylor Series
Hi Faizan,
I have recently edited the Taylor series of several variables. I have added equivalent expansion which I believe can improve the understanding.
As it was my first edit on Wikipedia, I have saved it couple of times before I found that I can preview the changes without saving. Due to that some of my edits were on the half way to the complete one.
Now my final edit looks to be there as I thought it, even after you mention you undid some of the changes I did.

Karocolens tuberculatus
Sorry to post this in a public domain .I was queried about a page I edited.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karocolens_tuberculatus#Status
This page is wrong.
Karocolens tuberculatus is in the title, which is a totally different species to the one described in the text: Hadramphus tuberculatus
They are not synonyms and one species is extinct and the other is not so its very important that they are not confused!

Speedy Deletion requests
Please stop placing a deletion request on each of the stubs being created. These individuals meet the notability requirements as specified in WP:Politician. The discussions regarding this are long and have all come to the same conclusion, these are valid starting points for these articles. Continued requests will be considered harassment. The Ukulele Guy - Aggie80 (talk) 18:04, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- It certainly fails WP:POLITICIAN. Creating articles with the same two lines? Faizan 18:19, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- There is no significant coverage. Just being a member of a legislature, having no coverage, nothing known, no search results, enough for an article? Faizan 18:20, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Being an elected state level official meets the requirements of WP:Politician. You can check out the discussions on the Wikipedia talk:Notability and Ray W. Hays as well as on my Talk Page. And there are some that are delighted (several on my Talk Page) that the stubs are being created to help fill in the blanks. The presumption is that because they are elected officials, the coverage must exist and it will eventually be filled in. (I happen to agree with what you are saying, but when I questioned a couple of items of similar note, I got 'schooled'. Conservatively there are over 100,000 individuals just in the US that meet the requirements. That's a lot of articles! And there are those that are determined to have all of them exist!) The Ukulele Guy - Aggie80 (talk) 18:43, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- My regrets Aggie. I ought to wait instead of nominating the articles for CSD. You are doing good work, keep it up. But my point should also be made clear. Those articles about the legislature members, when a reader will come across them, most probably he will already know that he was a legislature member, so he will not get any new info. With the same two lines, creation of articles on such a large scale is not appropriate, I think. We should have more info, that will exist, but that should be transcluded now. Wikipedia is not about only creating articles, it is also about improving them, expanding them, etc. Faizan 07:58, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
Technical help needed
In the article Muhammad in Islam, there are many 4th level headings (Orphanhood: a divine plan, for example) which are making the content list very long. It would be better if we keep is short, showing only the second and third headings. The Jesus article similarly have so many 4th level headings (====xxx====) which are not shown in the content list. The same thing I like to use here but unable to do so. Do you know how to do that?--AsceticRosé 06:51, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- 4 level headings are mostly shown in content list, let me examine both the articles. Faizan 07:02, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- Well Ascetic, the article of the Islamic Prophet Jesus does not have any "4-level headings". Actually you are being confused with 3 and 4 level headings, they almost look the same, but the third-one is more larger. So we have many 4-level heading in the article of Islamic Prophet Muhammad in Islam, but none in Islamic Prophet Jesus. May peace and blessings be upon them. I am fixing the concerned article. Change from 4 to 3-level headings may be a solution. Faizan 07:09, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- Fixed Faizan 08:00, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- !! Actually you missed my point! In Islamic Prophet Jesus article, you see there is a 3rd level heading named (=== Final week: betrayal, arrest, trial, and death ===), and under this there are some 4th level headings (sections) like (==== Final entry into Jerusalem ====), (==== Last Supper ====) etc. These 4th level headings (sections) are not shown in the content list. And this same thing I like to do in the proposed article. Will you please check that again?
- Also, the present arrangement of sections may be problematic because subsections "Early years", "Prophethood", "Opposition" were under mother section "Traditional Muslim account of Muhammad" which been omitted. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AsceticRose (talk • contribs)

- Brother, Assalamu Alaikum. The present section arrangement that you made, I fear, is not logical. You see, the sections "Early years", "Prophethood", "Opposition", and "victory" should come under the mother section "Traditional Muslim account of Muhammad". The present "Traditional Account of Muhammad" does not contain any account, hence illogical. Again, veneration and other subsequent sections would fit under "In Islamic thought" section; "sunnah", "as lawgiver" etc can not come under "Veneration". I strongly suggest you self-revert this edit.
- Actually my intention was to shorten the content list, and not to rearrange sections.
- I fear I've already wasted much of your time !!--AsceticRosé 15:57, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello,
I just wanted to know if you know Arabic? Often I get cases where our source is in Arabic, and I dont know any Arabic speaking users yet. So do you speak the language? If so I'll send a request or two your way every now and then :)

Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?

Faizan, the dispute is still unresolved so the tags must not be removed, lets resolve it and then it would be absolutely fine to remove them. Thanks--Zayeem (talk) 08:34, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

While a speedy keep close of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was obviously the right outcome, and I don't want to reopen it, I don't think you should have been the one to close it. The reason is that before closing it you expressed a keep opinion within the AfD. It is not allowed to contribute to an AfD and then close it, even for admins. Please be more careful next time. —David Eppstein (talk) 18:13, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
- My regrets David! I shall take note of it in the future, that's for sure. It seems that the concerned AfD was not a genuine one or it was opened by a user in avenge, after his article of an insignificant scholar apparently, Syed Noor Zaman Naqshbandi Shazli was nominated for deletion, thus in response he nominated Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He gave no reason for the nomination, and at the both AfDs, you know he was active in socking. Having a view of both the AfDs, I came after this inappropriate thinking, and closed the AfD. I shall comply with your advice in future. My regrets again, Thanks. Faizan 12:43, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

I originally completely declined the article as too short and pass the 5 day deadline, but I do see no problem with accepting it if the article is worked on within the next few days. File:Dialects Of Punjabi.jpg
Hello Faizan. I'm slightly puzzled by your edit of Punjab region on 4 July "Commenting out use(s) of file "File:Dialects Of Punjabi.jpg": Low resolution, and Low standard image. Should not be used at such a large scale. Please get it improved for future inclusion."
The resolution (682 × 624 pixels) seems adequate. It's better than the resolution on several of the maps that I've created for Wikipedia, and none of those have been questioned.
The image lettering is quite legible. I'm not qualified to say whether the information shown is correct, but the originator, User:Khalid Mahmood has been an editor for several years and has made a great number of contibutions. I hesitate to "improve" his work, but may try if you let me know exactly what you consider needs doing. I will watch here. Apuldram (talk) 10:21, 9 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hello Apuldram! I have no concerns over Khalid's work, he is really a great contributor, no doubt. You need not to puzzle. That File:Dialects Of Punjabi.jpg needs improvements. I am working on an improved version, and I shall upload it when it is ready very soon. I had no supply of internet, and was missing Wikipedia out. I am back and your concerns shall be addressed. The image will be cleaned up, and will be put again in the concerned articles. Regards. Faizan 17:39, 10 July 2013 (UTC)
I look forward to seeing your improved version. Be careful. A previous attempt at improvement raised a storm of protest and the attempt was nominated for deletion. If you change the content, you will need to cite a verifiable source that supports your changes, for example this. Meanwhile I have restored the original version until the improvement is available. Apuldram (talk) 10:53, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Regards. Thanks for the restoration, I have done it ontother articles too. I fear the improvement will take some time, as I am busy. The reference above is not previewable. Anyway, lets hope for the best, Thanks again Apuldram! As you said that you have also made some maps. So are you going to aid me here? Faizan 00:37, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Secondly, the map was tagged as original research in some articles too. I fear we may not get reliable support for the map. That was one of the reasons for its removal too. Faizan 00:42, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- You have a good point, because Khalid Mahmood didn't cite sources. However, I have now checked that accessible sources exist making it possible to locate all of the dialects shown in Mahmood's file. They are in the reference I gave above, or in the Wikipedia article 'Dialects of the Punjab' or in separate Wikipedia articles. In the event of an original research challenge I would be able to step in and cite sources. Cheers. Apuldram (talk) 11:27, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
