Hello! Your submission of Freedom and Unity Front at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Thai general election, 2014, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page In absentia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

2013–14 Thai political crisis

Subject : your edit on 3 February 2014

Dear Lihaas,

Explanation on why I added "criticised" to the 2007 constitution can be found here 2007 constitution section "Criticism of the drafting process" "Junta campaigning" "Criticisms of the referendum" to mention a few. I omit to give more details as it will overload the article. If you wish to write a full paragraph or can find a "light" way to explain the fact that the 2007 constitution was heavily criticized, go ahead. Note that prior to this editing I mentioned on the main article talk page weeks ago my intention to add "criticised", it reach a consensus.

Please also take note that assertion I made on wikipedia article are always factual and properly referenced.

Best Regards, Fredtham59 (talk) 16:39, 3 February 2014 (UTC)

Election heading

Please, please stop adding this to articles. In the past you have reverted content multiple times on the basis that there is "no consensus" because the matter has never been discussed. As far as I am aware, there is no consensus for the use of the "election" heading, as you seem to be the only one using it, so I ask that you respect your own behavioural guidelines and stop adding it to articles.

Now, it may well be the case that I am the only one using "conduct", but what I will say is that in psephology, "conduct" is the main term for describing how elections are carried out and any incidents relating to them (in trying to write this sentence, it was very difficult to do so without using that word again). It is used in electoral law (see e.g. here, here) and by official governmental bodies (e.g. here, here, here), as well as the media."Alex Salmond Aberdeen by-election conduct cleared", "Woolas defends election conduct at court hearing", "Monitoring groups disagreed over the conduct of the election.", "The election's conduct and outcome..., "The OSCE noted apparent manipulations in the conduct of the election".

In line with the above, conduct seems to me the obvious choice for the heading for the section covering this sort of thing. "Election" is totally inappropriate, as the whole article is about the election, which renders it completely meaningless as a sub-heading. I am not going to continue to change the Salvadoran article, but what I do want is a constructive discussion. So, after considering the above evidence, why do you not consider "conduct" to be an appropriate heading, and what do you propose as a compromise/alternative? Number 57 21:46, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

Proposed merge

Your template links here. However, you are proposing a merge of a disambiguation page. There were two separate storms and there needs to be a distinction between them. I have actually already done what you suggested, but only because I created one article without being aware of the other.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 18:40, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Egyptian Revolution of 2013

Partisan sources? → The New York Times FrontPage Mag Jadaliyya ChicagoNow DW The Guardian Der Spiegel Voice of America Financial Times Time World Al Monitor openDemocracy
Those "partisan sources" call this a revolution, while other sources call the coup d'état a coup d'état. You abandoned the discussion in Talk:2013 Egyptian coup d'état, but i remember you saying that it is "logically impossible" to have a revolution and a coup at the same time.[1] Carnation Revolution, Saur Revolution, Revolución Libertadora, Brazilian Revolution of 1930, Young Turk Revolution and Egyptian Revolution of 1952 were all military coups.
Care to point out/discuss an example of POV in the article? I'll be glad to remove or change it but you can't just say there is a neutrality issue without starting a discussion about it. And i'm trying to improve the article so i would be grateful if you showed me an instance. Fitzcarmalan (talk) 21:08, 26 February 2014 (UTC)

You can also help writing the "Coup d'état and aftermath" section of the article if you're interested. Fitzcarmalan (talk) 23:06, 26 February 2014 (UTC)
It appears Lihaas that you like to neglect discussions and you also fail to specify where is this POV, but you seem to think it's easy to tag an article and leave the editors wondering what could possibly be wrong. If you don't participate in the discussion i will remove this tag because it appears you're the one who's POVishly and flagrantly opposing the word "revolution" without any good reason and with poor arguments. Kiran Sankhla Speedy deletion nomination

I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Kiran Sankhla. To begin with "not-notable, unreferenced" is not a valid speedy deletion criterion. A valid criterion would be no "credible claim of significance or importance". Looking at the article as you tagged it, that would have been a valid tagging of the article. You should always look at the article history and see if something happened to the article. In this case over a year ago the whole "Career & Public Life" section was removed without any explanation. In this section there is a credible claim to significance so A7 would not apply. Please in the future look at the history and see if something has happened to the article to put it into the current state before nominating for speedy deletion. If you feel the article should be deleted please use the WP:AFD process. GB fan 17:53, 13 March 2014 (UTC)

Re: Talk:Sino-Japanese relations Restructuring Jan 2014

I noticed your comment from January about including a section or at least a mention of the spread of Buddhism to Japan. Do you think that would fit better in a historical background section toward the beginning of the article, or a mention right in the lead-in itself up above all the sections? The spread of Buddhism to Japan from China earlier in history already has a short mention here and a more in-depth article here. Zenvalharo (talk) 12:38, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

2014 Afghan Presidential Election

Hi Lihaas. I noticed you removed the table giving the breakdown of the candidates. Whilst I recognise that the candidates are listed elsewhere, the table still provides a means of quickly and clearly summing up each individual "ticket" - stating the various groups supporting the candidates, their running mates, background, and general policy orientation. I'm by no means arguing that it's complete, however given quite a bit of the information isn't mentioned elsewhere (e.g. running mates, or supporting groups), I think keeping it makes sense. If information has to be removed for redundancies sake, I think a better route would be to remove the other, more basic, final listing of the candidates. Many thanks.
