editIt's been a week since my recent request for adminship passed, and since I haven't managed to delete the Main Page or indef-block Jimbo - yet - I figure it's safe to send these out. Thanks a lot for participating in my RfA; I hope to do a good job. If you see me doing something wrong, need help, or just want to have a chat, please don't hesitate to drop by :) – riana_dzasta 07:10, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

RE: C151 photography
editSorry for the late reply. Hmm... Will start going on MRT trains to take this first generation trains before they are all sent for refurbishment. All four plates? What do you mean by that. I've never seen the experimental units, hope to spot them one day. The chances are very slim, it may be even off service these days. I will still see my hard disk for any pics of empty C151s. David Eltis
editYou deleted this page, despite nothing on the page being inaccurate and it was referenced to known websites. The previous Eltis page had been deleted for irrelevance, but this one had nothing on it that could be irrelevant, and Flying Chess is quite well known as a variant. J.StuartClarke
AfD
editSee Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dilbagh Singh. Maybe it doesn't matter now, but I found out that there Cangbush was using a number of sockpuppets to sway AfD consensus. Technically there are only two deletes in the AfD, and should probably be relisted. It probably doesn't matter now, and I understand if you don't want to go back to AfD. User page
editWHY...EXACTLY DID YOU DELETE MY PAGE???? I did not overstep any boundaries and my page was a harmless autobiography for my clients to read upon the suggestion that i would produce something for them. It was a simple producers autobiography, not out of context. Actually, it was quite similar to those of other music producers and acclaimed song writers. There is NO reason you shouldve requested a deletion of my page. Do you even know who I am? I am emailing wikipedia to ask why they listened to such an ill-advised request. I will take this as far as it needs to be taken, or simply repost everything that was there to begin with. This action of yours was unthoughtout, and a bad decision on your part. You have no business doing what you did, and its obvious your are simply out to make people mad. Well, quite frankly, its not going to slide this time. I read all rules in wikipedia before joining and creating my page, and there was NOTHING wrong with it. I even double checked. There was no foul language, and nothing out of line. This utterly disgusts me. Is your whole life Wikipedia? Do you do anything else with your time? Do you have a job? Those are rhetorical questions so please dont answer them, i dont care. I already know most the answers anyway. Please, leave me and my page alone. You have no reason to be meddling in my affairs.
I know MANY people in high places, and if you would like to start a dispute, i would love that also. Hey, lets get some lawyers involved. That'll be fun. Thanks for the wasted time -James.
- User was blocked by another admin for making legal threats (which I struck out). This is one surefire method of not getting your request considered. - Mailer Diablo 10:21, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Deletion
editI'm Somewhat suprised that some one who puts on his page "OK, I'm out of here, too many fuckwits and their egos to be bothered with." (that would be the author of "Delete wrong side of the line. Wile E. Heresiarch 18:41, 17 February 2007 (UTC)") is in the position of voting on a page for deletion (comment on page Cloverdale Community Football Association when marked for deletion).

Poole - Hal 9000
editHallo, I'd like to have reverted
- 14:13, 29 January 2007 Mailer diablo (Talk | contribs) deleted "Poole - HAL 9000" (Proposed deletion expiring after 5 days [23/01/2007] P2).
The chessgame-scene is a central ingredient of the plot. Moreover, it is one of the most famous chessgames in a movie. I recall the article said where the moves are taken from, it displayed what happens in the game, and it explains that it has been interpreted as a first sign of the computer's malfunction, which will turn out to be a major theme of the movie. So I don't see how the article could "P2 - Violate[s] what Wikipedia is not". Perhaps for some people who are more interested in movies and who know less about the history of chess, chess isn't part of what they consider as 'entertainement' or 'culture', or serves for decorative means only?! This should not prevent wikipedia from explaining it. Ironically, the picture of the article on the human player Frank_Poole shows exactly a shot from the chess-scene. Schwalker 19:58, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hallo Mailer-Diablo,
- above I had tried to communicate some objections against a decision to delete the article "Poole - HAL 9000". Now, about four days later, I could not find an answer on my talk-page, nor on this page, nor has the article been restored. So the process seems to pause. Can I do anything else to help to promote it? Schwalker 14:40, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hallo,
- Thank you very much for your reply, and for restoring the article. I hope to be able to improve and support it with reliable sources soon. Schwalker 09:38, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Excuse me, Mailer diablo. Could you please explain why you decided to close the AfD as "delete"? As I see it, the majority of the !votes said "keep", and you didn't give any further explanation, thus I don't understand your point about this one. Regards PeaceNT 04:52, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Could you please undelete Renfield syndrome?
editI found some information on a reputable site that Renfield syndrome is an actual but rare mental illness, and therefore would like to contest the PROD that deleted this article. The site is at http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/weird/vampires/7.html, a site run by Court TV. I think that this site counts as a reliable source, and therefore this article should be undeleted. Jesse Viviano 04:55, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

Reverting Vandalism
editWhen reverting vandalism, please put user warning templates, such as those found at WP:WARN, on the talk pages. An issue came up with the frequent vandalism of the page Big Bird by the IP address 67.76.231.222. To get a user blocked, they have to receive a series of warnings(usually 2-4 within a given period of time) and then after vandalizing past the final warning, they can be blocked without further notice. I recently tagged the with the final warning, but in the past few days, they had vandalized the page 6 times, and could have been blocked sooner. Please tag them, so that they may be blocked sooner, and Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia!--Vox Rationis 14:11, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

editWhy did you delete my article on Lewis Paul within a few minurtes of its creation? I created a very brief article intitially because I have had trouble in the past with losing articles due to being logged out. It was at that time a brief stub. If you did not like what I had done you should have added a stub template to it, not deleted it. If I create my article off line and then copy it in, I am accused of a copyright violation, despite having written it specifically for Wiki. How did I win and make my contribution, when admins like you delete my work before I have had a chance to complete it? When you deleted my article, I was in fact working on expanding it into a short (but decent length) article.
What you did is shear vandalism. Unless I recievie an apology and confirmation that you will leave articles at least 24 hours from creation to deletion, I will have to seek to initiate a complaints procedure against you. I note from ytour user page that you have done exactly the same to other people. As it is I have wated an hour and must start my work again (having not kept a copy of my draft expansion. Re : Skitsoy
editA tag has been placed on Skitsoy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add
{{hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines. For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
"Elephant Men" copy request
editHi,
I just tracked down the deletion of this article. I can't find any discussion, so I assume it was a speedy delete. At the time I posted it, I was unaware of the notability criterion (although in my searches for it I've found some pretty questionable pages - E-Man???). I would like to do some more research and see if I can track down some references that it is a notable organization within a notable community. In any case, I did quite a bit of work on it and it may find a better home on an Ultimate Frisbee-centered wiki. If you can retrieve it, please post it on my talk page.
Thanks- Emanroga 08:01, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
Also, I can't find the AfD discussion on 1/25 thru 2/1 in the archive.

A kind request from WP Films
editHi Mailer Diablo! You closed the AfD for the List of childhood-related films. I would like to ask you to make sure we get a notification in WP Films while film lists AfDs are going on. We had many of our lists nominated lately, with only a notification in our categorization department, since a category that included several of them was also nominated, so I had a chance to notify the project and we particpated and saved several of our lists, which without our say would have been deleted. Thank you. Hoverfish Talk 08:44, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
