Scott Walker for President
Hey Muboshgu,
Scott Walker (Delaware Scott Walker not Wisconsin Scott Walker) announced at least a few weeks ago that he's running for POTUS in 2020, as a Democrat. But he was the Republican nominee for DE's At-Large Congressional District in 2018. You can list him maybe as one of the minor Democratic candidates for President in 2020 on the page regarding the presidential election, as opposed to one of the major candidates. Here's an article backing it up.

Paul LePage
Just FYI he did announce he was moving to Florida at least for part of the year(to avoid paying Maine income tax) which is sourced and in the article, but I don't know if he actually has done it yet, so you were correct to remove that statement. 331dot (talk) 11:04, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

DYK for Steinbrenner family
On 2 February 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Steinbrenner family, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Steinbrenner family hopes to own the New York Yankees for "eternity"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Steinbrenner family. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Steinbrenner family), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Administrators' newsletter – February 2019
News and updates for administrators from the past month (January 2019).
Interface administrator changes
- A request for comment is currently open to reevaluate the activity requirements for administrators.
- Administrators who are blocked have the technical ability to block the administrator who blocked their own account. A recent request for comment has amended the blocking policy to clarify that this ability should only be used in exceptional circumstances, such as account compromises, where there is a clear and immediate need.
- A request for comment closed with a consensus in favor of deprecating The Sun as a permissible reference, and creating an edit filter to warn users who attempt to cite it.
- A discussion regarding an overhaul of the format and appearance of Wikipedia:Requests for page protection is in progress (permalink). The proposed changes will make it easier to create requests for those who are not using Twinkle. The workflow for administrators at this venue will largely be unchanged. Additionally, there are plans to archive requests similar to how it is done at WP:PERM, where historical records are kept so that prior requests can more easily be searched for.
- Voting in the 2019 Steward elections will begin on 08 February 2019, 14:00 (UTC) and end on 28 February 2019, 13:59 (UTC). The confirmation process of current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.
- A new IRC bot is available that allows you to subscribe to notifications when specific filters are tripped. This requires that your IRC handle be identified.

Rashida Tlaib
There's a DS talk notice for A-I on the talk page, do you think that the article should be put under ecp? My argument would be that she's a target for editors with a bias even if they don't edit specifically relevant content, and that of course editors are editing relevant content that don't have the days or edits. The same arguments apply to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez where I see you and User:Cullen328 have been editing. Doug Weller talk 19:26, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- Doug Weller, I don't know that it does? Anyway, the fact that I've been editing these pages is enough reason for me to abstain from acting as an administrator on them per WP:INVOLVED. There's nothing to lose by suggesting ECP on WP:RFPP for an uninvolved admin to consider. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:48, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- I was just looking for an opinion. My only involvement has been enforcing the 30/500 rule. Doug Weller talk 19:55, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- Doug Weller, I haven't directly addressed the BDS thing, but I think it's better that I remain an editor and not an admin in post-1932 U.S. politics. It might benefit from ECP, but looking through a few edits I don't know that anything so bad is being put in to require ECP. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:29, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
- I have been following Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez since her upset primary victory and have made a few edits to that article and several talk page comments. I am too involved there to use adminstrator's tools except for cases of serious and overt BLP issues, vandalism and the like. As for Rashida Tlaib, I have read about her in the news and have glanced at the article but do not recall editing there. I am aware of the escalating criticism of her regarding Israel/Palestine but have little interest in delving deeply into that Wikipedia morass unless necessary. So, I think I am uninvolved - please correct me if I am wrong. So, I will avoid routine editing there, and if either of you (or anyone else) think that I could play a useful tool as an administrator regarding that BLP, please let me know, and I will consider it. If the BDS matter escalates, I would support ECP. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 04:35, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

Request for help with Fradio71
Hi, I am sorry to bother you. I noticed that you recently were involved in a block concerning User:Fradio71. I was wondering if you could help me with his current edit warring, including these three reverts: 1 2 3. He also manually reverted a substantial copyedit by me on another page, including removing reliable sources (here), and is trying to threaten me with a block on my talk page (here) Any assistance, or if you can point me in the right direction on what to do, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. (I just posted this on User talk:DeltaQuad but then noticed that they are having health issues and may be unable to respond, and so I posted this here as well. I hope that is okay.) - Wallyfromdilbert I see what you mean. The user should be more WP:CIVIL. If that persists, you can always raise the issue at WP:AN/I. It'd probably better for an administrator who is WP:UNINVOLVED with that user to make any necessary determinations, as if I did now, some might think it was sour grapes over the past issues on AOC's page. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:03, 6 February 2019 (UTC)
- I appreciate the advice. I requested a third opinion (here, which he attempted to revert), and then reported him on the 3RRNB as you suggested (here) after he reverted additional content on the same article. I hope I went about this properly. Although I try to read as many policies as possible, I am a pretty new user and don't know exactly how to deal with another editor who is acting like that. I am going to refrain from responding to him until an administrator or another editor takes action on one of those two noticeboards. --Wallyfromdilbert (talk) 22:20, 6 February 2019 (UTC)

Do you think it's appropriate to apply a page protection? Wikieditor19920 (talk) 22:18, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
- Wikieditor19920, another editor already applied "pending changes" protection. Semi-protection may also be necessary but it's probably better for an uninvolved admin to do it, as I am fairly involved. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:33, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
Trump claim of executing babies on Northam page
Hello - I saw you removed this content and while I agree with you that it doesn't belong in that article, the reason isn't because it's false - Trump did make that claim. So I just wanted to confirm - is your reason as stated - because it's outlandish? Or is it because it's not relevant? I think the latter and to be clear, the reason for this question is is more for my WP education than anything else - Thanks. airuditious (talk) 19:01, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Aleding, I think it's so outlandish a comment that we shouldn't repeat it. I have no doubt that Trump said that and that the sources verify that he said it, but that alone doesn't mean we should include it. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:04, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Right - so I guess really not relevant. I stress this because I can see other articles where it might be something worthy of inclusion (i.e. a page about Trump and his lying for example). But definitely agreed not on the Northam page. As an aside, I have battling quite a few different fights in regard to that page's content. There is a serious push to slant the abortion piece of that article to one side or the other. Such is WP I suppose - Thanks. airuditious (talk) 19:06, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Aleding, I agree that Trump's lie could go on a page about his lying, or his policy positions, but his lie isn't relevant to Northam's bio. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:06, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Need your opinion re: proper use of footnotes
Hello, would you be willing to take a look at footnote "A" here and let me know if you consider this is a valid use of this tool? Inclusion of that FN's content has been the topic of debate at the article's talk page and this seems to me to be an example of the editor trying to keep their desired content on the article without having to satisfy gaining consensus. I did survey several other articles and have not yet found one with any FNs this long nor this expository. Thanks. airuditious (talk) 19:38, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
- Aleding, yeah, that looks excessive. – Muboshgu (talk) 20:05, 12 February 2019 (UTC)

Brewers Pirates
I want to know why you believe that the Brewers Pirates rivalry should be deleted. I don't believe the saying, just because they play each other each year makes it a rivalry. Of course it is a rivalry!!!!!!! In my opinion, if the end result is semi-close between the two teams, and they are in each other's division, it is a rivalry. I don't know if that is what you believe in, but anyways, I want to know why you don't want such a great idea for a new draft on Wikipedia.
MW36mathfights (talk) 00:41, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
- MW36mathfights, I am not aware of a single reliable source that discussed Brewers/Pirates as a "rivalry". Just because they're in the same division doesn't make it a rivalry. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:47, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

News and updates for administrators from the past month (February 2019).
Interface administrator changes

- The RfC on administrator activity requirements failed to reach consensus for any proposal.
- Following discussions at the Bureaucrats' noticeboard and Wikipedia talk:Administrators, an earlier change to the restoration of adminship policy was reverted. If requested, bureaucrats will not restore administrator permissions removed due to inactivity if there have been five years without a logged administrator action; this "five year rule" does not apply to permissions removed voluntarily.
- A new tool is available to help determine if a given IP is an open proxy/VPN/webhost/compromised host.
- The Arbitration Committee announced two new OTRS queues. Both are meant solely for cases involving private information; other cases will continue to be handled at the appropriate venues (e.g., WP:COIN or WP:SPI).
- paid-en-wp wikipedia.org has been set up to receive private evidence related to abusive paid editing.
- checkuser-en-wp wikipedia.org has been set up to receive private requests for CheckUser. For instance, requests for IP block exemption for anonymous proxy editing should now be sent to this address instead of the functionaries-en list.
- The Arbitration Committee announced two new OTRS queues. Both are meant solely for cases involving private information; other cases will continue to be handled at the appropriate venues (e.g., WP:COIN or WP:SPI).
- Following the 2019 Steward Elections, the following editors have been appointed as stewards: Base, Einsbor, Jon Kolbert, Schniggendiller, and Wim b.

I seem to recall that you have an interest in Abraham Lincoln, so I thought you might like to help work up this draft on his former law partner, Samuel C. Parks. Cheers! bd2412 T 04:53, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

Jena Griswold bio
Hello, Colorado SOS Jena Griswold isn't married anymore. Her personal bio in the Denver Post candidate questionnaire doesn't list a spouse. There's no news story to cite, but she lives with her partner, Mario Cañedo. He stood beside her at her swearing in ceremony, pictured here. Rathmones (talk) 15:55, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- Rathmones, I don't doubt that. But, Wikipedia policy is Wikipedia:Verifiability, and more specifically, "verifiability, not truth". There is a news story to cite about her marrying Mohamed Enab in 2014. We don't delete that just because they're divorced. We need to have a citation that verifies that they are no longer married. That Villager Publishing source isn't enough. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:04, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
US. House of Representatives
Elections
Gonzalez declared his congressional candidacy for the 2016 general election after then Congressman Rubén Hinojosa (D-TX-15) announced he would not seek reelection.[6] In a crowded race, he won the Democratic primary and Democratic party nomination, defeating Juan “Sonny” Palacios in a runoff election.[7][8][9] He defeated Republican Tim Westley in the November 2016 general election, winning 57.3% of the vote to Westley's 37.7%.[10] Gonzalez won his re-election in 2018 with 60% of the vote against Westley for a second time.
Tenure
In the 115th Congress, Gonzalez was appointed to the exclusive House Financial Services Committee. In the 116th Congress, he serves on the Subcommittees on Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship, and Capital Markets; Housing, Community Development, and Insurance; and Diversity and Inclusion. In the 116th Congress, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi granted him a waiver to jointly serve on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Congressman Gonzalez is a member of the Subcommittees on the Western Hemisphere, Civilian Security, and Trade; and Europe, Eurasia, Energy, and the Environment.
[12] Gonzalez is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, the New Democrat Coalition,[13] and the Problem Solvers Caucus.[14] In June 2017, he announced the formation of the Congressional Oil & Gas Caucus[15] and serves as its Chairman. He is also a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, the Congressional Small Business Caucus, and the Congressional Blue Collar Caucus, among others.
During Gonzalez’s first six months in office, he brought then Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi to Texas’ Rio Grande Valley to discuss border security, immigration, and trade on the U.S.-Mexico Border. He was also the first Texas Democrat and first Latino in the U.S. Congress to be invited by President Donald J. Trump to a private dinner at the White House. He has met with President Trump on more than five occasions to discuss issues of mutual interest. [16]
In the 115th Congress, Gonzalez participated in bipartisan and bicameral congressional delegations to a variety of countries around the globe. In Japan, he met with Japanese Prime Minister, H.E. Shinzo Abe, and Japanese First Lady, Akie Abe. He also met with Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taro Kono, as well as U.S. Ambassador to Japan, Bill Hagerty, and other respective government officials. In Guatemala, he met with President Jimmy Morales. In Mexico, he met with the Chief of Staff to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Alfonso Romo; Mexican Undersecretary of Foreign Trade, Juan Carlos Baker; and Former Secretary of the Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal. In China, he met with Vice-Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, Liu He. In South Korea, he met with members of the U.S. Army, stationed at Camp Humphreys, located within the seaport City of Pyeongtaek. In December 2018, he joined the U.S. delegation attending the Inauguration of Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Since taking office, Gonzalez has spent every Thanksgiving with members of the U.S. Armed Forces stationed overseas. He spent the holiday with troops stationed in Afghanistan in 2017, and in Kuwait and Djibouti in 2018.
In January 2019, Gonzalez was one of seven Democratic lawmakers to meet with President Donald Trump and the Administration to put an end to the longest federal government shutdown in U.S. history.
Legislative Issues
Since being elected to the House of Representatives, Gonzalez has championed legislation to provide deported veterans with a path to citizenship and allow them to return to the United States. He has also been an advocate for smart, effective border security solutions; lower prescription drug prices; protection for senior citizens; policies that promote strong free trade agreements, and safeguards for farmers and ranchers.

Ichiro Suzuki
Hope you're doing well. I have a simple question that hopefully you can answer for me. I recently switched the main pictures on Ichiro's page, and noticed you reverted it, citing the picture that I replaced it with as "inferior." My question is this: what about it makes it inferior? I mean no disrespect at all, as I am just seeking some explanation that I can use on future edits. Thanks again. Mannytool (talk) 19:32, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
- Mannytool, no disrespect taken. This is how WP:BRD is supposed to work! The Marlins photo is a better look at his face, for one thing. I suspect the issue of what the main image should be could be contentious, and it would probably be a good idea to seek community consensus on the article's talk page. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:43, 21 March 2019 (UTC)
Why? Ribenderen (talk) 02:48, 22 March 2019 (UTC)

Deletion of Pages
JP Gates, Michael Busch (baseball), and Ashton McGee have all revived significant coverage and should be allowed. Also I had added to Ian Gibaut to give him his own page and I don’t see what is wrong with that too. If there is something missing please tell me what to add and I will.
Thank you, UNC2 UNC2 (talk) 22:37, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
- UNC2, hi. I see that you are new here. We need all the fresh voices we can get, so let me start off by making clear to you that my intent is not to run you off as quickly as you joined. That said, I disagree that those three college players have received "significant coverage". They have received some coverage, but I don't think enough to meet WP:GNG. You can read up on the process of WP:PROD, to see that you are in your rights to remove the template entirely. At that point, I could nominate the articles for deletion at WP:AFD, which would result in a discussion where people will vote to keep or delete the articles. As far as the Rays prospect, the article content should be contained at Ian Gibaut if and when the bio is to be split off, not Ian Gibaut (baseball). But that individual also is lacking the "significant coverage" at this point that would justify a full article. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:50, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
As you can see from the resources all three of these players have revived a lot of coverage from reliable sources and there are more sources I can add if you would like. UNC2 (talk) 23:06, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
- UNC2, that is hardly what I would call "significant coverage". I see profile pages from Perfect Game, 247 Sports, and their pages on their collegiate websites. Every player gets one of those, and therefore they don't contribute to GNG. MLB Pipeline's "2019 Prospect Watch" is also not going to contribute much if at all. McGee's page has zero sources that count towards GNG. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:21, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
I see about the other 2 but Michael Busch has many things written about him and think that he should qualify. UNC2 (talk) 00:01, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
- UNC2, there would have to be more sources than are present in the article, written by secondary publications. As I said, you're free to de-PROD the article if you want to. But then I could nominate it for deletion via AFD. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:05, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
Question about IP talkpages
104.184.194.154 has removed almost all content from that IP's talkpage - all the warnings etc. Is there a pokicy or guideline that says that users can or cannot remove content from "their" talkpages - when they are posting only from an IP address and not under a username? All that slander/libel/nastiness they were spewing about a dead person is particularly heinous - thanks for staying on top of it. Shearonink (talk) 00:01, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
- Shearonink, there is. WP:OWNTALK says that you can remove almost anything from your page, with a few exceptions. Block notices aren't covered, but block appeals are included as something you can't remove. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:14, 25 March 2019 (UTC)
- Ok, yeah I get that, I'll leave it alone. I was just wondering if anons are allowed to edit/delete posts on the talkpage that their IP accesses since it can belong to different users... Shearonink (talk) 01:09, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

Possible IP Sock-Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/JP Gates
I don't want to assume bad faith but given the IP vote's editing history I have a gut feeling it might be a Sock vote by the article author/first keep vote. Any advice on how to approach this?
Best, GPL93 (talk) 17:49, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- GPL93, it's possible you're correct. However, it's inconclusive to me. That was the IPs first edit since the account was created. Let's AfD the other baseball player article and see what happens. If it is a sock, it might become evident. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:03, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- Muboshgu Put it up for AfD. Thanks for the advice. Best, GPL93 (talk) 19:48, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- Another IP keep vote, this time an SPA. The IPs appear to be from two different regions of North Carolina so still not definite. Best, GPL93 (talk) 16:04, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- GPL93, the IP in Gates and the IPv6 in Busch both said "fits criteria". I don't think the account has used that phrase though. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:49, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
2019 Chicago mayoral election ... quick note
Just wanted to provide some info about why I tag pages with bare URLs with a cleanup tag rather than resolving them myself. I don't have the bandwidth currently to spend a lot of time working on individual bare reference, but have sufficient aptitude to tag a page when I notice at least one bare URL so that editors who monitor the cleanup categories for bare URLs cleanup tags can resolve. (In fact, I can name at least three editors who monitor and resolve those categories ... to a point where it constitutes most of their edits.) Steel1943 (talk) 23:09, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- ...And I just caught your undo of my recent edit. Usually, the tags don't get removed prior to all cleanup being resolved (especially since there's no guarantee that the work will get picked up if the editor performing the work gets interrupted or ends up doing something else), but anywho, I'll refrain from touching that article for a bit. Steel1943 (talk) 23:11, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Steel1943, I should've left the template on until I was done. That's my bad. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:16, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Request: Create Discography Guide for Cates, Phoebe
Two songs for the 1983 Private School soundtrack and a 1982 album titled Paradise released via CBS Records, should a discography section for this now-retired 80s actress being created is a yes or no?
Had done this to subject's talk page but didn't receive any replies yet unfortunately. But first look at that query for a few minutes and insert your thoughts.
End of discussion,
67.81.163.178 (talk) 13:12, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
- I have no idea what this is about or why you're messaging me for it. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:59, 6 April 2019 (UTC)
The reason why this has been brung up is from the fact that no one has replied to that improvement in three months on subject's talk page. Main story is one of the 80s most sought after actresses namely that of Cates, Phoebe Belle needs a discography guide on article, although it's too microscopic.
Link to article: en.wikipedia.org/w/Phoebe_Cates. I repeat take a look there and leave commentaries.
Lights out,
67.81.163.178 (talk) 00:52, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
- Still, I don't know why you're messaging me. I have no interest in her aside from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I don't think I ever edited the article, and I didn't know she was a singer until this thread. Since I have no knowledge or interest, I won't be deciding whether or not her article needs a discography. Take the lack of response on the talk page as a "no". – Muboshgu (talk) 01:15, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Austin Barnes Nickname Section
Why did you remove the nickname section I added for Austin Barnes?
I sourced the information appropriately and I think it is interesting information about a great ball player. Drock86 (talk) 21:50, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
- Drock86, there was no source, for one thing. It doesn't deserve it's own section. – Muboshgu (talk) 04:45, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
- This was my first ever wiki edit, so I probably did the citations incorrectly. I gave the nickname its own section because it doesn't really fit in his career section. I think the story is interesting enough to merit mention. Drock86 (talk) 15:20, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
ITN recognition for 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship Game
On 9 April 2019, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship Game, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page.
Trying to build consensus on college/minor league awards in the infobox
There doesn't appear to be a guideline for it currently, so I'm trying to build a consensus on which non-Major League awards should be included. I figured you might like to include your opinion. Best, GPL93 (talk) 17:15, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Discretionary Sanctions Alert
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

- Rusf10, Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars. And you're supposed to check to see if I've already been given this alert before giving it. You obviously didn't. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:35, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
- First, Don't template the regulars doesn't apply to DS alerts since a person can claim that they didn't know simply because they haven't received notification in the past year. Second, I did check, here's your filter log [2], it's been more than 12 months. Get your facts straight.--Rusf10 (talk) 22:39, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
- Rusf10, where do you get the idea that this needs to be re-upped on user talk pages every year? – Muboshgu (talk) 22:46, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
- I do see now from giving the alert that it does say something about "last 12 months". Still, this is entirely disruptive and without any potential benefit. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:59, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
- Rusf10 your approach is completely unhelpful. I recommend you stop it immediately. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:49, 10 April 2019 (UTC)
- I didn't make the rules. If the two of you don't like the fact that these alerts need to be given every 12 month in order to be enforceable, then I suggest you lobby to have it changed at the proper venue. I've gotten these alerts multiple times, I don't see why Muboshgu is immune from them. As for it being disruptive, I don't get that either, the alert doesn't require any type of response.--Rusf10 (talk) 23:04, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

@Rusf10: I think your approach is entirely helpful. Politics is a contentious and highly sensitive realm of discourse, and as such, it is possible for even the most experienced of veteran editors to lose sight of the purpose and function of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is a invaluable resource and an irreplaceable source of information for millions to billions of people around the globe, and it is consequently important that the quality of its content reflects the nobility of that function and the lofty ideal that function represents. Everyone is certainly capable of mistakes, especially considering these tumultuous times, but those members of any community who wield the most influence, respect, and attention have a responsibility to hold themselves to an exemplary standard beyond their personal beliefs. Despite this the duty often falls to the many of those who wield the least influence to patrol and enforce that standard. I believe everyone could use a respectful reminder of this.
Thank you for your contribution, sir. This is what makes Wikipedia great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SK8RBOI (talk • contribs) 03:53, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Response on Admin Noticeboard
I am not sure whether I need to notify you, but I responded to your Admin Board comment. I may have broken the link to my comment, for which I apologize. SIPPINONTECH (talk) 18:34, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- SIPPINONTECH, no, no need to notify me. I needed to notify you though. I'm sure someone else has fixed any formatting errors by now. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:00, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

Peter Alonso
Peter Alonso's Wikipedia page incorrectly states "Alonso was born to Michelle, a native of Bucaramanga, Columbia...". Although I gave birth to Peter, I was not born in Bucaramanga, Columbia nor do I have any Latin American relatives, associations or even visited the country.
I edited Peter's page today to remove the fabrication of "a native of Bucaramanga, Columbia". I'd appreciate it if you would ensure the correction is made in removing the fabrication.
It was disheartening to see Wikipedia would publish such a falsehood on the heels of removing facts I tried to insert on his page in September of 2018.

- Baseballfacteditor, I will continue to keep an eye on the article. I have no idea where that Colombia bit came from. If you are indeed the mother of Pete Alonso, congratulations on your son's success. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:12, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

Can Admins add page protection to a talk page?
Hello Muboshgu,
I'm sure you know the page I'm talking about, Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election talk page. Unregistered users continue to make lambasted and out-of-place comments and I was just curious if it was possible to page protect a talk page. Thank you! Aviartm (talk) 00:26, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Aviartm, an admin can protect a talk page, but generally are hesitant to because discussion needs to take place on subjects like these. I certainly won't protect it since I am WP:INVOLVED. – Muboshgu (talk) 00:57, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- That would make sense. Just curious if it was possible. Thank you! Aviartm (talk) 01:27, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Aviartm, of course. It's generally the worst situations that merit talk page protection. I think Talk:Donald Trump is currently semiprotected. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:39, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Alrighty. One last thing. But how did the page get the Pending Changes status added to it? If you would like not to discuss it here, I made an inquiry about it at the Talk page. Thank you always! Aviartm (talk) 01:42, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Aviartm, it could've been that the admin who applied it stopped by and saw it was needed. Otherwise, someone might've requested page protection at WP:RFPP. – Muboshgu (talk) 01:54, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was requested. I find it excessive really. For a whole year, pending changes? That is super counterproductive. And as the request says, it was IP Users doing the disruptions. WP:SEMI would've done the trick. Aviartm (talk) 02:00, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Aviartm, not sure I agree with it either, but I won't complain. – Muboshgu (talk) 02:18, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Yes but what about users who are not Admins? Users with legitimate edits, with RSs, etc.? Aviartm (talk) 02:22, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- Aviartm, with PC, any edit can be made to the page, but won't show up until/unless it's approved by someone with the appropriate access (doesn't require adminship). – Muboshgu (talk) 02:56, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
- I know and I learned about who can confirm the edits after my comment looking into the different levels of PC there are. It has now been updated for auto-confirmed/confirmed accounts but pends for unregistered users. Aviartm (talk) 03:01, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
