Hi,
You have mentioned this:
(rm claim. The paper does not refer to any particular communities)
and deleted the mention of community names from the below:
A 2007 study revealed that Iyers and Iyengars formed a separate cluster along with the high-ranking non-Brahmin communities of Tamil Nadu such as Ambalakarar (Mukkulathor) and Veerakodi Vellalars [1].
Kindly note the neighbour-joning tree on page 4 of the paper showing affinity with Veerakodi Vellalar, which in turn shows affinity with Amabalakarar. The study was to compare Mukkalathor communities with those of Iyers, Iyengars on one end, and Pallans and Vanniyars on the other end. Also note the gene flow amongst communities in the outliers in the heterozygosity vs distance diagram on page 6. On the same page you can find this mentioned:
The two Brahmins (Iyer and Iyengar) alongwith the high rank non-Brahmin formed a separatecluster.....The highrank non-Brahmin group – Veerakodi Vellalar and low rank non-Brahmin – Ambalakarar are the
outliers of the above cluster...
Since the paper does mention the name of the community specifically as "highrank non-Brahmin group – Veerakodi Vellalar", I am therefore reinstating the mention of the Veerakodi Vellalar in the page. --= No ||| Illusion = (talk) 18:00, 27 January 2010 (UTC)Mayasutra
Check the facts before alleging!
Dear User,
Your changes to page:Bhumihar with allegations on me pushing POV is kiddish given your extensive wiki-experience! Kindly do check history before alleging things. I am highly committed to the cause of maintaining neutrality in all edits I make.
I made a revert to a possible vandalism by a few IP users and allowed a edit which I was not sure at that point in time. While you are free and justified to make roll-backs or changes about topics/facts you have source it in no way makes a case for alleging POV accusations on editors not responsible for changes.
Hope the point is taken positively.
Thanks, Indian (talk) 14:56, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, what would you call this? Have you not removed content you don't like? If it is accidental on your part then I'm sorry about it.-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 15:03, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- I call it "reverting a edit I am not sure about". Pl. see that I had added a note saying that I was undoing an edit by myself from the version that the IP user had done. Hope the note is visible. :)
- Thanks, Indian (talk) 15:25, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Madras 1920.JPG
Thanks for uploading File:Madras 1920.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Kāniyālar
Hi Ravichandran,
This is regarding the removal of information on Kāniyālar There is one more sub-sect of Iyers called Kāniyālar(Tamil: காநியாளர்). Unlike the above Kāniyālar, they are more Saivite . They are actually a branch of Vadamas (Tamil: வடமா) . There is a Shiva temple in Papanasam, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. And it is said that these Kāniyālar's were the family members of Goddess Parvathi who owned a Kāni Nelam (a type of measure like sq.yards used in olden days) and considered them self to be superiors. - - Even today, it can be found that there is a street called Kāniyālar Theru (Kāniyālar Street) in Papanasam. Only few of the original descendants live there and rest have migrated to other cities.
FYI ..
I am myself a Kāniyālar of the above mentioned clan and I used to explain every one and I have found that many people think Kaniyalar means the one described over in the article. Many people have forgotten us, since we branched out of Vadama's.
If you add them or not the fact is a fact. you can still find the street in Papanasm, Thanjavur district.

- Could you please provide reliable published sources for the same. Else please don't add them to the article. Thanks-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 06:22, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Disputed article name at Sivakasi riots of 1899
Hello Ravichandar84. Please participate at Talk:Sivakasi riots of 1899 to determine which name for this article is best. Since the article was moved twice in quick succession, with no apparent discussion, I have protected it against further moves. Of course, you may actually be in agreement with the latest name; let us know. EdJohnston (talk) 05:08, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
- BTW, I've made some changes to the page, merged the demographics section to the background section; cleaned up and expanded the background, and added a where tag for the population - source isn't available online and the population is higher than both Sivakasi and Tinnevely district (point in time). Take a look. cheers. -SpacemanSpiff 06:12, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Elections
Hi Ravi.. I am looking for some help to enter the "runner-ups" in Tamil Nadu election articles. I would greatly appreciate if you can help with that. I know it is boring and laborious. Even if you could help with one election, that will be of great help. --CarTick 18:56, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
