ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Chris Troutman (talk) 11:25, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

@Chris troutman: ? That was not a test edit. I just clicked the wrong button when I added the equals sign, meaning to type a hyphen. DemonDays64 (talk) 14:47, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Bob Dylan

I have undone this edit [[1]] on Bob Dylan article because it turned several Metacritic links into Dead links. I've undone this edit by DemonDays64 Bot twice, for the same reason. Mick gold (talk) 16:05, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

@Mick gold: hmm I shall investigate these errors. Thanks for telling me something isn’t working right! DemonDays64 (talk) 16:49, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
@Mick gold: Ok, I think I've figured it out: Metacritic pages need the www in the URL or they apparently just don't work. I will remove editing of Metacritic.com URLs from the list for now; at a later point, I will get this to both make them secure and stop them from breaking. Thank you so much for telling me! DemonDays64 (talk) 20:13, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
OK, Thanks for figuring it out and reporting back. Mick gold (talk) 23:41, 7 December 2019 (UTC)

DemonDays

Demon Days, what kind of day is that? Beeney xx (talk) 11:38, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

@Beeney xx: as it says on my user page in the about section,

Name is from the Gorillaz album and my favorite number. It seemed like a better name at the time...

It’s just the name of an album, not any deeper than that :P DemonDays64 (talk) 15:03, 25 February 2020 (UTC)

Haha. Alright. Thank you for replying, especially as it's such a random question, so cheers. I'm easily intrigued. I like the same, it's catchy.

Category redirect

Hi, DemonDays64. You recently created Category:Articles with Spanish-language sources as a redirect to itself. I'm sure that was not what you intended to do. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 18:41, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

@R'n'B: oh! I must have been trying to redirect it to Category:Articles with Spanish-language sources (es). I have fixed it. Thanks for noticing, DemonDays64 (talk) 19:15, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Outdated Democracy Index rating template users

A tag has been placed on Category:Outdated Democracy Index rating template users requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
