Since you have previously shared your view in a CfD about the Republic of China, I guess you are interested to share your insight at Talk:Republic of China#Requested Move (February 2012) too. Thanks for your attention. 61.18.170.79 (talk) 11:01, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

WP Football in the Signpost
The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject Football for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. -Mabeenot (talk) 16:01, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 7
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Juninho Cearense, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Savoia (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Pavel Nedvěd
Hi Matthew. I notice you tagged Pavel Nedvěd for additional verification in April 2010 here, now I am wondering if you see fit to remove the tag and also consider the WikiProject rating. Thanks, C679 11:41, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- I often did a short article with 20 citation. For such a long article likes Nedvěd, it should had more citation, however, as La Gazzetta dello Sport became a paid service, the source available may from non-sports specific newspaper such as la Repubblica only. Matthew_hk tc 13:01, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- I don't understand you. What do you mean by "I often did a short article with 20 citation"? I'm sure we can find more stuff in English and Czech if Italian sources are unavailable. Thanks, C679 20:04, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
- I suggest refer to other feature article for the sufficient level. Many fact without source is not sufficient, despite difficult to dig out source. But remember the wikipedia policy is verifiability and fact without citation should be removed in biography article. Matthew_hk tc 14:05, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

- Hi Matthew! It's funny, is the first time I talk together with a foreign user! The news comes from a Corriere della Sera article titled "Io, disoccupato di A: con questa crisi può succedere a tanti" (=Me, unemployed of Serie A: in this crisis can be happen to many"). The article has been written by Paolo Tomaselli, and published on 15 October 2011 on page 65. I just add it at the Italian page. I hope to be helpful, if you have other questions, write to me! --Martellodifiume (talk) 22:11, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Can you specify what exactly has changed since March of last year when this article was deleted? The Soccerway and Transfermarkt profiles still do not show any actual appearances other than the bench and the U20 appearances. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 21:25, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
- check citation of "debut". Soccerway sometimes reliable. I would dig out an article specifically about him to meet GNG. Matthew_hk tc 12:21, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:FC Zestfoni.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:FC Zestfoni.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:09, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

I have reverted your addition as unsourced; you have been here long enough by now to know that you need to introduce a RS whenever you edit, especially with BLPs. GiantSnowman 12:51, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Referencing
Hello Matthew. Please be aware that a Wikipedian cannot be used as a reliable source, adding lines such as these is not appropriate, nor is it necessary to point out the specific person who read the source. In addition if you are actually analysing these sources and adding your conclusions to articles that is original research, and even less ok--Jac16888 Talk 23:33, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- I knew i am touching the boundary. However left in Internet usually transferamrkt (a often unreliable community site) or soccerway (somewhat reliable, but i often e-mail to them to correct error after i read the official Brazil FA match reports) which i sometimes use. More often it just a audit report of the football club with lots of figure, or match reports on newspaper and website without a actual sum of caps and goals of that season (There was Futpedia for individuals Brazilian top division footballers but removed) . Should I post all the analyze to the talk page or open a blog to cite myself (the blog entry still have to list out all the match of the season and which games he did and did not play). Matthew_hk tc 10:36, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- Neither. If a report exists then it is sufficient to cite it, you should not be required as part of the reference--Jac16888 Talk 10:42, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- Sometimes i will cite all 10+ matches. However more chaos was CBF was down and removed the access to actual match reports back to 2005. Archive in archive.org is incomplete. Despite the webpage in Template:CBF profile do provide the official count of stats. by Brazilian FA, it is not accurate for 2005 and 2006 (i don't know the contractor to build the web had the full set of match reports or not). I remember the pattern of url of Brazilian FA match reports, do i rebuild the link and immediately cite it is dead and add a bracket to tell private archive available in Dropbox? (scribd seems did not accept TIFF) Matthew_hk tc 10:49, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
- You've missed my meaning. A citation does not necessarily have to have a link - for example academic journals, so if the FA release an official match report, I see no reason you can't cite it directly. Having a link is of course better, perhaps you could use this, but if a reference relies on you to be useful (for example what if you left Wikipedia tomorrow and shut down your dropbox) that makes it a bad reference--Jac16888 Talk 10:58, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
