"rv POV edit, warned anon IP"
Hello Nihonjoe. I just wanted to remind you that being POV is not a "warnable" offense. ([1]) In fact, it is not an offense. It's definitely not vandalism. -- Миборовский U|T|C|M|E|Chugoku Banzai! 03:23, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- heh, I had to check this out after seeing that message. The warn was totally warranted. Did you check the edit history on that? The anon kept reverting, clearly breaking the 3RR, which alone is an offense. He was making a statement that the issues were facts without verifiability. He was using Wikipedia as a soapbox. But ignoring all that, this guy was clearly just an internet troll. I don't know where you get off trying to scold Nihonjoe. -- Ned Scott 05:50, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- Nihonjoe's edit history: "rv POV edit, warned anon IP". His warning message: "If you continue to vandalize pages..." which is equating "POV edit" to "vandalising pages". I'm not saying he was not wrong to send a warning, only that POV =/= vandalism. Ned Scott, I'd appreciate it if you can have some basic Wikiquette and assume good faith. -- Миборовский U|T|C|M|E|Chugoku Banzai! 18:40, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- A single POV edit is not necessarily considered vandalism, but in this case it was multiple instances from multiple IPs. That is definitely vandalism. Миборовский, I'd appreciate it if you can have some basic Wikiquette and assume good faith in the future (to use your own words). My comments were entirely appropriate given the history of the edits on that page by the two anon IPs. --日本穣 Nihonjoe 22:56, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hello Nihonjoe. Your last response was very gracious, so it's time for me to apologise for being unnecessarily rude to you. BTW, I'll pass on the WikiProject Japan thing. Japanese editors have a knee-jerk reaction towards Chinese editors. -- Миборовский U|T|C|M|E|Chugoku Banzai! 03:53, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Elections
Thanks for supporting me in the Esperanza Advisory Council Elections. Although I wasn't elected to the Advisory Council, I am very happy with the response I received from my fellow Wikipedians. I was shocked at the support, and was touched by it. Hopefully I will re-apply in June and try again for the job. Thanks again, Highway Rainbow Sneakers
barnstar
I hereby award you the Working Mans barnstar for perhaps obvious reasons and not just because of Kikuko Inoue. You have done one HELL of a job. Banzai!
Can you asist with the lates episodes. The official site has a very short kanji summary per week which I'd like to have a translation of on wikipedia. --Cat out 21:05, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
- You have just volunteered to expand the anime list and linked articles :) --Cat out 10:38, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- How so? I haven't even responded to this yet. Right now I don't really have time to do it, but after the end of May I'll have time. I have a bunch of big projects (here and offline) that are taking my time right now. Once those are completed, I'll be happy to help out where I can. --日本穣 Nihonjoe 18:23, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Image:Daylight saving time004006.png
Hi. Thank you for providing the source information of Image:Daylight saving time004006.png but it mentions TWO standard times, not A standard time. The image file is titled as "daylight saving time" but it doesn't say anything about a daylight saving time. --163.139.215.193 11:14, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't upload the file, so I can't vouch for the title. My main contribution was the date and that it was an imperial ordinance. I didn't read much else of it. It's written in older Japanese (1895), so it's hard for me to understand it. (^_^) Maybe you could provide a translation of it? --日本穣 Nihonjoe 15:43, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm checking to see if someone better at early Meiji Japanese can translate the text on the image. We'll see what happens. --日本穣 Nihonjoe 18:21, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Hehehehe.... :-P --Darth Deskana (talk page) 23:33, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- (^_^) I updated the page so no one else should be confused by that in the future. (^_^) --日本穣 Nihonjoe 23:44, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- There are some truly crazy admins going around Wikipedia, aren't there? So far I've managed to restrain myself from going nuts, though I did have one slip today! --Darth Deskana (talk page) 23:45, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
- (^_^) Hehehe... --日本穣 Nihonjoe 00:11, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for correcting English.
Hello, this is Uryah. Thank you for correcting English : Mt.Fuji Jazz Festival -> Mt. Fuji Jazz Festival. Uryah 23:25, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. Always glad to help. (^_^) ˑˑˑ日本穣 Talk to Nihonjoε 23:28, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
Talk page fix
Thanks for the formatting fix on my talk page! I wasn't aware that there were different TOC templates. OhNoitsJamieTalk 05:19, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. I only discovered all of the different templates a few months ago. They aren't always easy to find. (^_^) ˑˑˑ日本穣 Talk to Nihonjoε 06:34, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
I apologise
I apologise, Nihonjoe, for being an utter fool. Your RfA was running unanimously for support and I mucked it up. You have every right to be angry with me, and all I can say is "I'm sorry". Feel free to rant.--Firsfron 09:36, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- Oh, I'm not mad at you, and I can completely understand why you would be frustrated if no one seemed to be paying attention to your request for assistance. That said, I hope you can understand how I was viewing your request, since it appeared to me that you were saying, "If you promise to check this out once you're an admin, I'll give you my support vote. Otherwise, I won't." Can you see how it would appear that you were wanting me to "buy" your vote by promising to do something for you? From your comments, I don't believe that's how you meant your request, but that's how it appeared to me.
- As for whether or not I get unanimous support, I don't really think that matters. If you wish to vote your support for me, I'll accept it. If not, then that's your choice and I won't hold it against you. (^_^) ˑˑˑ日本穣 Talk to Nihonjoε 17:21, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- I really appreciate that you are not angry, Nihonjoe. I do not expect you to "buy" votes; I was just incredibly frustrated at what I felt was a lack of admin response to a situation that was growing worse as time wore on. The matter has finally, finally been resolved, as another admin did eventually notice the vandalism/sockpuppetry/copyvio/spam/other junk and indef blocked the user. I still can't believe it took 3 months, dozens of reverts, 20+ warnings and notices, and complaints on a half-dozen boards before this was finally taken care of. You've got your work cut out for you when you're given your mop! There's a whole lot of Wikipedia, and less than 1,000 active admins.
- Good luck with your final tally. It looks like it will be close to unanimous; I have changed my vote back to support, naturally not because you "bought" my vote, but because of your willingness to consider helping a regular user, which I consider a very important aspect of Adminship. Thanks for your patience with me.--Firsfron 03:08, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Seiyū/Voice Actor RfC framework
I'm in the process of setting up a framework for a potential Seiyū/Voice Actor RfC in my sandbox. The introduction still needs to be written and arguments for Seiyū need expansion along with voice(d) *. Any input or assistance you can provide will be helpful.
Remember, we are not going to begin the discussion on this page yet, but merely setting it up. --TheFarix (Talk) 03:17, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
If you are not busy:
I have a minor issue at hand. Since you were one of those on that page that witnessed said incident, I was wondering if you would give this a look over. Wikipedia:Requests_for_comment/GameJunkieJim He's taken one comment out of context and accused me of making an attack on him. GameJunkieJim 19:53, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your participation in that ordeal. I appreciate it. GameJunkieJim 15:57, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
