Hey. I've learnt that you're not supposed to revert edits to a single article more than three times in 24 hours. So my hasty reverting on the Wolf Children page was out of line. Sorry for being tyrannical. Popcornduff (talk) 03:31, 2 November 2014 (UTC)

Corruption on kickboxing, help
Hello, PRehse, Mdtemp and Papaursa are again destroying the Wikipedia kickboxing (I bet these 3 are also linked). There are no kickboxing records on the internet, all the people are informing from the Wikipedia site. Look what are they doing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Raul_C%C4%83tina%C8%99. The article is well written. Then the people had a discussion regarding this promotion which is currently the second in the world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Martial_arts/Kickboxing_task_force#SUPERKOMBAT_Fighting_Championship. These users are simply ignoring the users based on their personal opinion and hate (SuperKombat should be added on the list, and even if a kickboxer is good to be allowed to be on Wikipedia if he holds first tiers trophies). Basically, PRehse deleted many SuperKombat fighters, now he asked help from his Mdtemp to do it. Before, it was Papaursa who helped him. They kept deleting kickboxers, unbelievable. Can't we have them on Wikipedia if they are notable enough? Remember, these were previously warned to stop deleting K-1 articles, huge events. Dammst (talk) 17:14, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- There's no "corruption" going on as far as I can tell. You seem to be upset because someone nominated someone who doesn't meet the criteria for inclusion (as mentioned in the deletion discussion you linked, above). Just because they don't currently meet the criteria doesn't mean they won't meet them in the future. Please calm down and assume a little good faith on the part of other editors here. We have inclusion criteria for a reason: so we don't get flooded with every person on the planet who wants an article, or get flooded with topics which are not notable per WP:N. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 22:43, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Japanese request
Hi Nihonjoe, I was wondering if you could help a few of us out at Talk:Satellaview. A new editor, Hadsn, has recently started trying to improve the article and we are running into language barriers. I can translate a bit, but it's a very slow process for me and I don't have much time at present. The topic of discussion is pretty tech-heavy and I'm not sure if the new editor is aware of the proper way to use citations. This new editor hasn't even been welcomed to Wikipedia yet and I was wondering if you could kind of act as a liaison here and speak Japanese with him. He seems to be knowledgeable about the subject and I'm worried that without some assistance he'll get irritated by the slow pace and the fact that some of his edits have been reverted. If you are too busy please let me know and I can ask another editor from Wikipedia:Translators available#Japanese-to-English. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. -Thibbs (talk) 04:25, 26 November 2014 (UTC)

Brandon Sanderson
To explain my recent edits on the Brandon Sanderson page: your bibliography of the man is like a love-letter from a fan. I don't see any reason to insert titles of books which are not to be published for ages - The Dark One, The Silence Divine, etc. Those belong on the Coppermind.net wiki, not in a encyclopedia where people can read about them (nothing is known about these stories, so making separate Wiki-pages for them is rather useless). Also, the alfabetical order is horrible, no further reasons are necessary except for the fact that I like the layout more like it is now.
I have also good things to say, however. I like your edits about the nominations and awards, and of course the titles you added to the bio (the usefull ones). I edit most of the Sanderson wiki-pages (Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, Stormlight Archive, Steelheart, Rithmatist, Legion...), and started a lot of them, so you understand that I am a little protective about the articles, which doesn't say I don't want people to help me complete it. Understand that I prefer the bio like it is now, and further edits are only to be added when more solid plans for the books are revealed. If I had to add everything Mr. Sanderson has ever written...
With kind regards, J.A.R. Huygebaert (talk) 17:53, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
- The information regarding upcoming books is because they have been announced. This is common for well-known authors to list them if there is a reliable source as a reference for it. The alphabetical order is not horrible, and only serves to make it easier for people to find the books due to how many different series he is getting. Ease of use is an important factor to consider since not everyone coming to view the article may know as much about Sanderson as you or I man know.
- As for you starting most of the Sanderson articles, that's irrelevant. I know Sanderson personally, but I'm not preventing others from adding information to any of the articles. You do not own the articles, and they will not necessarily remain the way you prefer. You can not prevent others from participating in editing the articles. You can not force or require them to get your approval before making edits. You've been here since 2010, so you should understand these things by now. You need to curb your enthusiasm here and work with other editors instead of pretending that you own the articles and have complete control over them. If you don't, you may find yourself facing various consequences for disruptive editing. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 18:00, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

My rectification about Gamba Osaka
Hello Nihonjoe. I’m Doze44. Nice meeting to you. Thank you for the message on my talk page.
I removed the content from Gamba Osaka because there is no link to the reference. Also, I have searched for the reference written "Asian Football Clubs Ranking" on the internet. Seemingly there are some rankings about it, so I am not sure which one is the ranking. The ranking might be referred from this website called Football Database. Even so the ranking about Gamba Osaka is not same as the latest ranking on Football Database. Moreover, I sometimes read articles about football teams. It is not common to write that kind of ranking table. Thus, I think the ranking table had better be deleted or updated with the reference. I'm afraid my not so good English has made you confused. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doze44 (talk • contribs) 09:47, 5 April 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for closing this AfD. As you and everyone who participated in the discussion noted, the nomination made no sense in the first place and was just a waste of time. I have queried the nominator on his talk page as to what that was all about and he seems to have stated that it was to make a WP:POINT about AfD discussions. I have a number of concerns about that, but I was wondering if you might be interested in reviewing that talk page discussion and perhaps adding something that might reduce the likelihood of another AfD like that in the future. Rock Bankurawase/Minoreba Rock
I don't mind you removing the prod if that is correct, as there are still no references and only your word it reached #33. I shall assume that you will be adding the references in due course. Of course #33 in any chart does not automatically make a song notable, and perhaps an AfD would be another solution. --Richhoncho (talk) 19:25, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- First, look at the entry on Maximum the Hormone discography, where it states it reached 33 on the Oricon charts. Next, read WP:NSONG, where it states a song or single may be notable if it has been ranked "on national or significant music or sales charts". That's a valid reason to dispute the prod. If you disagree, you're welcome to take it to AFD. I don't need to add sources to dispute a PROD, either. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 21:17, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- Also, I spent some time trying to find weekly Oricon ranking charts from 2004, and there are none I was able to find after 15-20 minutes of looking. Even Oricon only goes back to 2005 on their site. It's possible they may add older ranking charts at some point, who knows? ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 21:35, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- You say, "Next, read WP:NSONG, where it states a song or single may be notable if it has been ranked "on national or significant music or sales charts". The optimum word is "may". Good for you for trying to find references and establish notability. --Richhoncho (talk) 21:38, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, and I can read just as well as you. As I said, anyone can dispute a prod for any reason, or no reason. It doesn't matter why it was disputed. In this case, I had a valid reason as it may meet NSONG based on charting. Because it's from so long ago, however, finding online reliable sources is going to be a chore (if any can be found at all). ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 21:42, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Webster Sheffield law firm page
Hi you proposed this page for deletion on 7 April. I only noticed the PROD now, and the page is already deleted. I was the author of the page. Unfortunately I can't see what I wrote so that I can justify its existence.
I believe the page should continue to exist for the following reasons:
1. There is a detailed Wikipedia biography page for the law firm's founder, Bethuel Webster. 2. A link from Bethuel Webster's page to his law firm's page seemed helpful. 3. The former mayor of New York, John Lindsay, another prominent person with a Wikipedia biography, was also a partner of Webster Sheffield 4. It received regular coverage in the New York Times, a prominent newspaper. 5. Numerous defunct law firms are covered by Wikipedia articles. 6. Numerous defunct New York City establishments are covered by Wikipedia articles.
Can you please tell me what I can do to reinstate the page (beside writing it again), or appealing the PROD?
Best regards,

Mount Myōjin
Hi, I had a question about the new Kongō Range article. I changed the red link name of one of the mountains from "Myōjin Mountain" to "Mount Myōjin (Kongō Range)", because I thought that would be more normal English. See Talk:Kongō_Range. But then I looked down at the template, and there are several other mountains in this style, as XX Mountain. So I was wondering if I messed up the system. Was the idea that "Mountain" would come after the name if it is actually what we would call a "hill" in English? This particular Myōjin Mountain is only 273 meters high. If that's the case, I was wondering if I should revert my edit. – Margin1522 (talk) 00:50, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
- That's what they call it. If the named it a hill, it would be likely be xx岳 instead. There are plenty of instances in English where a hill is named as a mountain. The naming convention as in the template is what should be used. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 03:13, 23 April 2015 (UTC)

You asked to be notified here: User_talk:Padenton/adminhighlighter. Amalthea is back and has corrected the bug, so my version of the script and related pages are now deprecated. I'll probably CSD the scripts in about a week or so to give people some time to switch back to the script here: User:Amalthea/userhighlighter.js or here: User:Theopolisme/Scripts/adminhighlighter. ― Padenton|✉ 19:28, 15 May 2015 (UTC)

Dab link
Hey -
Just wanted to apologize for that "needdab" tag that I placed on your DYK entry earlier. At the time that I came across it, it seemed like either article was a possibility. I was tired though, so I might have made it unnecessarily complicated. I hope I didn't upset you too much. EricEnfermero (Talk) 16:16, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
- Nope, just found it amusing that your message stated you didn't know which one it was when the sentence told you which one it was immediately after the link. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 16:18, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
Biographies of filmmakers
Hello! Just a reminder, the Film project does not cover biography articles. Therefore, please do not add the {{WikiProject Film}} banner to articles about actors, directors and filmmakers. Those articles are covered by adding |filmbio-work-group=yes
to {{WikiProject Biography}} instead. This applies to all of the film task forces as well, which means that the Japanese cinema task force does not include articles about Japanese actors, directors and filmmakers, and consequently should not have the |cinema=yes
parameter on the {{WikiProject Japan}} banner. Thanks! Fortdj33 (talk) 18:33, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
