Update

Hi! This is Anna. This text was pasted here by kind and trusted editor Super-Oshwah via Internet Relay Chat request. Sorry I've been away. Wikipedia is blocked now in China. I hope it returns in July. I will check periodically. I do not want to say any goodbyes just yet. I may return.

I will continue to upload images and video and make edits to Commons. That site is not blocked. I will probably ask for a list of uploads and other files to be posted here to my talk page from time to time, so that others can add the media to articles.

Two for now:

I miss everyone and I miss editing. But do not feel bad for me. I have replaced editing with lots of other fun things. I hope you all are well. You are wonderful people!

Talk soon,

Anna Frodesiak (Added by Oshwah per Anna Frodesiak's request on IRC)

If I started a thread on your talk page, I am watching. Please reply there.

Miss you! New tech

edit

We talked in the past about organizing art events where people who draw would create portraits for biographies were otherwise not available.

I just saw this new artificial intelligence-based tool. https://artflow.ai/

The user inputs copyrighted portrait photographs of a person, and the tool outputs an original drawing of that person in a new pose with a Wikimedia compatible Creative Commons license.

If and when you come back to wiki then please message me, let's talk again. Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:28, 28 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Happy holidays!

Happy New Year!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year, Anna!

The other day, I was having a conversation with someone about holiday cards and social media. It occurred to me that, in the years since I left Facebook, the site I use most to communicate with people I like isn't actually a social media site at all. If you're receiving this, it's pretty likely I've talked with you more recently than I have my distant relatives and college friends on FB, at very least, and we may have even collaborated on something useful. So here's a holiday "card", Wikipedia friend. :) Hope the next couple weeks bring some fun and/or rest. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 18:09, 22 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Environment of Hawaii

edit

The article Environment of Hawaii has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Looking back at the article history, I can see there was a point in time where this was a fleshed-out article, but an edit on the 19th of August 2012 "gutted article out to Environmental issues in Hawaii and Energy in Hawaii" and it has remained basically unchanged since. Currently the article is just a glorified redirect to different topics under the umbrella of Environment in Hawaii - all these topics have their own article, so even if all the sections in this article were fleshed out again, all this page could be is a synthesis/summary of a bunch of different pages which is unnecessary.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A beer for you!

Hi Anna, we last interacted about a decade ago when I helped you with WP:RA/I. Yesterday, I started that back up again and thought of you. I notice you're no longer able to participate on Wikipedia, which is a real shame. Wikipedia is a lesser place without you. I hope you're doing well and I hope we can see you back soon. Proposed deletion of Tritonia clavigera

edit

The article Tritonia clavigera has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Possibly this is user error, but this species name isn't mentioned anywhere in the cited source. WoRMS doesn't even have it as a synonymised/invalid name, which to me also points toward this being not a "real" species name and instead some kind of user error. No sources found preceding Wikipedia, so I would prefer to err on the side of caution and not just redirect.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chancay Mega-port, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Volcan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Deletion discussion about Mansur (bear)

edit

Hello Anna Frodesiak, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Mansur (bear), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mansur (bear).

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Bastun}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Hello, "Anna". I was delighted to see that you have been making a few edits in recent months. It's a very small fraction of the rate of editing you used to do, but a great advance on the last few years. I hope I will see you around more. JBW (talk) 17:23, 11 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Good luck!

Nice to see you making a few edits, even if (as you said to another person a few months ago) you've mostly moved on from Wikipedia. The optional RfA candidate poll is still journeying on, even as it's moved away from its numerical score origin into more of a feedback discussion. Good luck! isaacl (talk) 01:54, 7 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
