Proposed deletion of Æon Credit Service

edit

The article Æon Credit Service has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article with more than 15 years of editing but no references. No encyclopedic content. Brochure article. Fail WP:NCORP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. scope_creepTalk 16:02, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Timewasters

edit

Hiya! You may have noticed that I've been expanding Draft:Timewasters which you created last year. I feel that it's pretty good now and would like to move it to the mainspace and nominate it for DYK, to run on the fourth anniversary of its premiere (9 Oct). Please let me know right away if you have any objections. Otherwise, feel free to look it over at your leisure and if you see anything to improve, please do. (I'll add a title card graphic after publishing it, btw.)

Thanks! – Reidgreg (talk) 00:56, 31 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Patrick O'Hara (Canadian politician)

DYK for Timewasters

edit

On 9 October 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Timewasters, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that racially themed time-travel comedy Timewasters was developed under the working title Black to the Future? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Timewasters. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Timewasters), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

How we will see unregistered users

edit

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Hello. It appears your talk page is becoming quite lengthy and is in need of archiving. According to Wikipedia's user talk page guidelines: "Large talk pages are difficult to read and load slowly over slow connections. Reply - No, why do you ask? --Jax 0677 (talk) 00:51, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Jax 0677: Do you not see how your templates were a complete over-reaction? The anthology series was aired on national broadcast television, starring notable actors. It's not non-notable. By marking the article as {{prod}}, you were trying to get rid of it within minutes, as opposed to giving it a trial at AfD, where there'd be time to be proven wrong.
Even with the addition of reference to the article being co-produced for national broadcast television in Canada, you still insisted that it was non-notable.
To top it all off, you placed an archaic, passive aggressive template on my talk page. We no longer live in an era where 275 KBs is a big deal. As evidenced by the top of my talk page, I do know how to archive content. I've just chosen not to.
All this, because I changed you take offense with me getting rid of your redirect.
A redirect that should never have been created, as you should have looked at the WhatLinksHere, and seen that KCET had the article as a redlink. By creating an unnecessary redirect, you were inserting and incorrect link into that article.
This sort of pouncing is a wonderful, wonderful strategy to discourage new users from Wikipedia. -- Zanimum (talk) 01:38, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. Proposed deletion of The Graphic Academy

edit

The article The Graphic Academy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I wasn't able to verify this exists, let alone is notable. Nothing found under "Graphic Academy"+Munich in English, and nothing on de.wiki or on Google searching using "Grafische Akademie" as the German translation since the creator helpfully failed to provide the actual German name.

♠PMC(talk) 23:00, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
