Al Wistert, which is an article you started has now gotten to good article status. Thanks for getting us off to such a good start. Much of what you did to build the article's foundation remains a part of the article. Feel free to come by and either edit or make comments. You may want to post this somewhere:

yeah that really suprises me too about the part of him knowing how to use Wiki--Yankees10 Go Packers! 20:50, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

where does he get the right to change these infoboxes, he needs to be blocked or something, because this is getting ridiculous--Yankees10 Go Packers! 16:29, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Infobox help

I dont know if you know how to do this but, you know how Template:Infobox NFLretired links to pro-football-reference.com, can you do the same thing for Template:Infobox NBAretired, but so that it links to basketball-reference.com, if you know how, thanks--Yankees10 Go Packers! 00:48, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't know how long ago you sent this and I'm not sure if you fixed it yet, but yes I do know how to fix it. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 02:19, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

no I havent done it yet, can you please do it, thats the only thing holding me back from changing a lot of other players infoboxes, thanks--Yankees10 Go Packers! 02:22, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Done, but you have to type the letter in the infobox as you can see for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. If you want to to switch some infoboxes with you I'll be more then glad to help. Feel free to ask any more questions too. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 02:42, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Infobox stats

Can you please add the fields "statweek" and "statseason" to the infoboxes you've added stats too? Without them, there's no new section title, it just blends in with the awards.►Chris NelsonHolla! 01:31, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I do not understand what you are talking about. Can you please let me know. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 02:02, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Look at your edit on Brett Favre (the stats section of the infobox), then look at the most recent version. Notice the "statweek" and "statseason" fields I added. Those fields created the colored bar (which begins "selected NFL statistics..."►Chris NelsonHolla! 02:10, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Ohh..., O.K. I didn't see that before but I glad that I know that there is something like that, yes I will use that for now on thank you for letting me know. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 02:38, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

If you could also add that to the guys you've already added stats for, that'd be good too.►Chris NelsonHolla! 02:45, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Creation of All-Pro Team articles

I wanted to know if you wanted to help me create All-Pro Team articles using pro-football-reference.com, so that we can have links in the infoboxes. I already created the 1979 All-Pro Team article. I also wanted to know if you think the way I did it was good or if there was another way you could think of without using the Tables--Yankees10 22:52, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

I would like to help but not any-time soon but I think the table is a great way. --Phbasketball6 (talk) 23:04, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

thats fine, I'm probably going to bring it to WP:NFL to see if anybody wants to help there.--Yankees10 23:07, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Priest Holmes

I can guarantee you that that Holmes is NOT officially retired yet. Nor are Warren Sapp, Mack Strong, Matt Lepsis, etc. User:Pats1 and I know this because we search the NFLPA active player database, which updates every day or two. You'll notice you'll find each of the players I've mentioned here; you'll also find Jake Plummer. You will NOT find guys like Tarik Glenn or even Mike Alstott, because those players have filed retirement papers with the league. This is a flawless system - we can be assured of the information we find here, trust me.►Chris NelsonHolla! 16:45, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Ok, thank you for sharing with me, I was eager to know how you guys know this, I have reverted Matt Lepsis infobox back to active. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 16:47, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

No problem. That thing is a great tool, it's good for salary info and good for finding out if a guy is actually retired or not.►Chris NelsonHolla! 16:48, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't understand how it works, how can you tell if someone retired they still have Alstott listed a Buccaneers? --Phbasketball6 (talk) 16:50, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

You gotta search under 2008 as the year.►Chris NelsonHolla! 16:57, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Sweet deal, thanks; I also like that your stating into the player article who announced their retired but didn't file the paperwork. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 17:00, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I mean technically they are no more retired than anyone else, but most people don't know that so hopefully that will stop people from making edits until he does.►Chris NelsonHolla! 17:02, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

How do you find out if players that are free agents for the past year or so retired? --Phbasketball6 (talk) 17:09, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Ah, well the database only has guys on teams, so you won't see a guy disappear if he's a free agent; he won't be there to begin with.►Chris NelsonHolla! 17:13, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

All-Pro Team pages

on the All-Pro team pages do you think we should combine the left and right cornerbacks and also combine the linebackers instead of seperating them--Yankees10 23:18, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

I think that the cornerbacks should be together but I think we should leave the outside linebackers and middle linebackers separated. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 23:20, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

yeah not so much about the linebackers, but im confused about wich goes to which, does LLB go to outside or inside, and what about RLB and MLB--Yankees10 23:25, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

LLB and RLB are outside linebackers for 4-3 defenses and ROLB and LOLB are outside linebackers for 3-4 defenses, which overall are outside linebackers

For inside RILB, LILB, and MLB are middle linebackers, MLB is for 4-3 defenses, and LILB and RILB are Middle linebackers for 3-4 defenses. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 23:29, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

ok I think I get it, thanks--Yankees10 23:34, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of retired professional American football quarterbacks and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:59, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

I think we should have the links because most of the articles already have them and it would be a pain to go to them and change them, yeah go ahead and change Eagle Days, thanks--Yankees10 02:25, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

I think you should start putting the links back--Yankees10 02:09, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

K, I will. --Phbasketball6 (talk) 02:30, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

At the WP:NFL discussion page, linked years in infoboxed were voted against. It just seems pointless to have "1992-2007" and have only those two years linked when all the others in between are not. Personally, I remove these links whenever I see them.►Chris NelsonHolla! 03:04, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

K, thank you for letting me know so then I won't add the links anymore. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 03:07, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

the reason I think the links should be there because they are already in the infobox in the years played section. So what is the differnence between having them there and in the years.--Yankees10 03:32, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Well maybe they shouldn't be in either.►Chris NelsonHolla! 03:51, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

what about when you add new infoboxes?--Yankees10 21:27, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

I don't know I'm guessing I'm going to leave them off judging from what Chris Nelson said earlier, but if it gets over ruled then I'll gladly add them. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 22:59, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Receiving stats

Why have you taken receiving stats off some players?►Chris NelsonHolla! 03:23, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

I was going to ask you know but didn't because I though you would be busy with free agency. But anyway, I'm not sure what stats should show for running backs, should every running have their receiving stats or only people like L.T., Westbrook, Edge, and others? Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 03:27, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

I would say it should be done on a case-by-case basis. For a Ron Dayne-type, probably not worth it. But for the guys you mentioned, or someone like Lorenzo Booker (he had as many catches as he had carries in 2007) I'd say it's definitely worthy.►Chris NelsonHolla! 03:29, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

O.K. I'll do it that way. Thanks --Phbasketball6 (talk) 03:31, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

I know I am being a total pain in the ass about such a little subject, but for some reason this is bothering me. I tried bringing it to WP:NFL, but only one person responded and he didnt care either way, heres my view on it I say there is no reason to not have them because the only user that seems to be against them is Chrisjnelson (and probably Pats1). Because all the people that voted against having them before obviousley dont care because they dont remove them.--Yankees10 15:15, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Your not a pain in the ass, and I think its important to decide this earlier then later, but I'm nuetral on this topic, sry --Phbasketball6 (talk) 20:09, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

I wish people would respond, this problem is getting annoying, for some reason there not, I am probably just going to keep adding the links anyway--Yankees10 23:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Sabathia

The trade has not been officially confirmed by the teams involved, nor has it been approved by the league. We don't include details on trades until they have been completed per WP:CRYSTAL. --Madchester (talk) 02:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Chicago Bears seasons at WP:FLRC

I saw your name listed as a participant in the inactive Wikipedia:WikiProject Chicago Bears page. Chicago Bears seasons has been listed at Wikipedia:Featured list removal candidates/Chicago Bears seasons for removal from the set of featured lists under the WP:FLRC procedures. I am not sure who to turn to, but the original WP:FLC nominator, Happyman22 (talk · contribs), has said he is too busy to save the article. I hope you will consider responding to the discussion page issues and save the list.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 01:53, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
