Hi RHaworth, what kind of justifications do we need to prove notability? Kindly revert. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imrandindore (talk • contribs) 13:07, 26 October 2015 (UTC)

Coastal Web Atlas
Hi, i am a new contributor, I have been trying to add a page for coastal web atlas. Yes, i might have added the actual definition that gives copyright issues, but i removed the content was still editing. Anyway, Can i continue to start from scratch and create a new article under the same title? — Namikagona (talk) 11:31, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- You probably have a CoI and therefore should not be writing on this topic. If you have no COI and can actually provide good evidence of notability, then re-create. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:07, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
Freeloading
Hello, A few days ago I was working on a wikipedia page for a class assignment, and the next day in class I tried to open it to notice it was deleted. All i ask for is the information back so I can save it to a word document and use eventually in a different form of media. The link is Republicans (Project for Class). I do not need the page to be saved but I would like to have the information back. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EricFriedman19 (talk • contribs) 19:19, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

You deleted this article at the creator's request back in January. I think I was that creator. I was wondering if you could un-delete it so I could see what it was and why I wanted it gone (assuming I'm the creator). — Srnec (talk) 22:25, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi, you recently deleted this as a test page. It was intended to be a redirect, but I may have made a mistake in making it. Could you tell me what it consisted of? Thanks, -- Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 15:18, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
I appreciate it may have been an implausible redirect and have stopped making redirects like this (this one targeted James Robinson, Jr.). -- Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 15:30, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
You've now deleted another page, without letting me know which one it was or explaining which redirects are and are not acceptable: I also didn't get a chance to see which page it was. Please reply as soon as you get a chance. Thanks, -- Rubbish computer (HALP!: I dropped the bass?) 22:23, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
- The list of people named John Doe is at John Doe or John Doe (disambiguation) we simply do not need list of people called John Doe. Please stop creating such pages. Did you intend to create redirects for all 50,000 articles in category:human name disambiguation pages? Please reply. Request for a user page
Hello this is User:Umer Jubapu. My user page had been deleted yesterday. This is to ask if I can recreate it again as it was just a user information page. I even drafted an article on the same name which was continuously rejected. I modified it and gave it references too. I don't understand as I am new to Wikipedia but I have corrected plenty of celebrity pages. I have read all the tags of rules and regulations too. They say I cannot make an autobiography on myself. Well I have seen countless number of autobiographies in here. I have even mentioned some evidences on my videos and mp3 downloads too. Please help me out. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Umer Jubapu (talk • contribs) 14:09, 30 October 2015
- Umer, Other stuff exists is never an argument. Give me links to some of these "countless number of autobiographies" and I will delete them. Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no CoI thinks you are notable and writes about you here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:50, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
Threat and Error Management
Hi, I am a student editor in Human Factors in Aviation class at UWO. I would like to get some feedback or constructive criticisms as to why my article, Threat and Error Management (links to my sandbox), is deleted. Please leave feedback on my user talk page. — Hseong2 (talk) 23:46, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- Hseong2, I am very disappointed: the purpose of your project appears to be to publish student essays rather than to teach the participants how to edit Wikipedia. If you had been properly instructed, you would know that the convention is to keep a discussion in one place and we use wikilinks not external links to link to other pages. As to your query: don't be ridiculous - you provided a link - you know perfectly well that it has not been deleted. Please read my comment at User_talk:Skearns4. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:50, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
F1 speedy deletions
If I am analysing rightly, you speedy deleted a file[1] by WP:CSD#F1 when it was in use in an article.[2] This led to someone else removing the link from the article.[3] Then someone else again sent the alternate file to FFD as being unused and of no foreseeable use.[4] I can't see if the image you deleted was of lower quality but it was certainly not unused. If the other file was of higher quality it would have been very helpful if you could have inserted it in the article rather than just deleting the version in use. — Thincat (talk) 10:54, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
- OK, sorry, I goofed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:50, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
OK. I was interested in whether you had simply made a mistake or were understanding the slightly ambiguous wording of WP:CSD#F1 differently from me. Thincat (talk) 11:00, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Akram Mahmoud
Hello, Sir, It seems to me that you deleted my page Akram Mahmoud, and its seems to me that I did a big mistake cause I wanted to create my User page not an article, look I am still new here and I am trying to understand the structure of this, I just have a question... Is it possible to make my User page to be named with different other than my username ? and it will be wounder full, if you can guide me how to be apart of that great team thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Akram — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akramasaad (talk • contribs) 09:42, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
- Of course it is not possible for your user page to have a different name. The term "user" is horribly misleading. User pages are only for Wikipedia editors. Come back when you have done 50 useful non-userspace edits and I will consider the question of a user page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:48, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
CRECS
Hi there, I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow retrieve the text in my deleted article. I'm a student creating a page for one of the organizations (an accomplished research centre) on campus as part of a learning experience, and I didn't intend to leave it not properly cited. There was no copyright infringement intended, although I understand the errors made in it. Would it be possible to retrieve that text so I can properly format it and complete it? I apologize if this message or page wasn't properly formatted, and appreciate your understanding. Thank you. Agomez5002 (talk) 14:24, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
- I am worried by your phrase "properly format" - it is not just reformatting that the page needs: it is a complete re-write. Text emailed. Note that a new version should be at Centre for Research on Educational and Community Services with a redirect at CRECS. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:14, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Okay, much appreciated, thank you. Just to confirm though, if I use any text from related sources, will my page be in good standing as long as I cite and reference them properly? — Agomez5002 (talk) 15:43, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- That depends what you mean by "use". Put your sources away and write your piece from scratch entirely in your words. Then get your sources out and add the references. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:43, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
deprod
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from International School of Kabul, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! 2602:30A:2EFE:F050:A51D:74AE:FC51:1E65 (talk) 21:59, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi, why did you delete the redirect I put on this page? Am I missing something, or did you just not notice that I had already serviced the speedy delete request. The subject is a film, so A7 does not apply and in any event the title can sensibly be redirected to the page for the director which does exist and mentions the film. I want to become your deletionist protege. Please tell me how I can apply for the position. That is not meant to be understood as an ironic request. Thank you. KDS4444Talk 18:36, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
- KDS4444, I assume you are asking "how can I start deleting stuff?" The answer is that you must become an admin and to do that you must venture into the treacherous waters of the requests for adminship process. Looking at your superficial qualifications for adminship, you are probably OK. You have been editing for long enough. Some may feel that your edit counts are rather low but that is not an absolute test - I note that Ian.thompson succeeded with a smaller edit count than Thine Antique Pen or Montanabw who were unsuccessful. Your having OTRS rights will probably help. Study a few recent RfA applications closely to see what is needed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:36, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Dealmoon.com Deletion
We believe this or this should remain a Wikipedia page based on the fact it is a company page and about a company, first.
Secondly, Dealmoon.com has made history by being the first to bring Singles Day to the US. Singles Day has 4x surpassed the sales of Cyber Monday specifically because of the Chinese American demographic this company serves. They have made history in this regard and there are several articles from honored outlets like NASDAQ, TIME magazine, Huffington Post and the top trade outlet for the luxury brand industry, Luxury Daily which reports this news.
Like Alibaba, this company is a force in the internet retailing industry and the fact they are opening to the mainstream of America for the first time is news.
Furthermore, just yesterday, which was Singles Day, Dealmoon brought together more than 180 American companies to be part of Singles Day, who until they educated them about this online shopping phenomenon, they knew nothing about.
Also, this company is changing how luxury brands see themselves and how they market to consumers. Historically, they have been extremely protective of their brands and would never want to be seen as a "deal," but the brands themselves are offering these deals -- and because they recognize the swift and huge traffic from Dealmoon.com's Chinese American consumers, they are tripping over themselves to offer discounts to them. Capitalism at it's best -- and ironically enough, the brainchild of Chinese American immigrant entrepreneurs.
We have read all the how to's and do not's for Wikipedia and are completely confused why our post keeps getting deleted. If you could contact us with some feedback on what exactly makes our articles "soapboxing" or "advertising", it would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evelynnabdpr (talk • contribs) 23:50, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- To address your first: Wikipedia is not a trade directory: there are millions of companies but only a small proportion of them are notable enough for an article here. But in any case, kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:00, 13 November 2015 (UTC)

Two improper CSD-G6 deletions
Hello RHaworth, I noted that editor Legacypac closed several AfDs as a non-admin as "delete" and later tagged the relevant articles as CSD-G6 (technical deletions for uncontroversial maintenance). These CSD-G6 requests are obviosly bad on multiple levels (non-admins should not close AfDs as delete per Wikipedia:Non-admin_closure#Appropriate_closures and WP:BADNAC, CSD-G6 is a speedy deletion criterium designed for other uses, and Legacypac also closed as delete an AfD relisted a few hours before and which is actually leaning to keep), I left a message on Legacypac's talk page and they seem to have understood, and also self-reverted many of these closures. Apparently you inadvertently deleted two of these articles, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leona Tuttle and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dwaitham, I suppose it is enough you revert their AfD closures and re-close them, but they need to be deleted following the proper process. My best, Cavarrone. Cavarrone 11:27, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Cavarrone, this "is the greatest treason: to do the right deed for the wrong reason". Why on earth should I restore Leona Tuttle when she has a perfectly valid deletion log entry? The deletion log entry for Dwaitham is, I admit, misleading but is it really worth doing anything about it? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:46, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
Who the hell care about log entries? Noone asked you to restore Leona Tuttle, just to re-close the AfD as delete. Non-admins should not close AfDs as delete, and with respect you should have note that instead of deleting articles based on an inappropriate, not applicable CSD tags. — Cavarrone 23:57, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
- @Cavarrone:, someone brought up Leona Tuttle to DRV (Wikipedia:Deletion_review#Leona_Tuttle). To be fair, I think Cavarrone has a point so a strike out and re-closure at AFD would settle it. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 23:18, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

I'm getting help from someone who works for the PFA next week and have copies of "Baird's Manual of American College Fraternities" as references. — Naraht (talk) 17:57, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

Thank You. What I have from references is better than what you added to my sandbox. I'd have voted to delete as well...Naraht (talk) 18:53, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
Template:Louisiana Radio Markets
I noticed that you deleted Template:Louisiana Radio Markets per wp:t3 as an unused redundant template. This template was still being used, though I was in the process of implementing an alternate navigation method that would have made this template no longer necessary. Template:Acadiana Radio Markets, Template:North Louisiana Radio Markets, Template:Central Louisiana Radio Markets, Template:Ark-La-Tex Radio Markets, and Template:Florida Parishes Radio Markets are all templates that were redundant and were substantial duplications of Template:Louisiana Radio Markets, and should be deleted under wp:t3. Template:Louisiana Radio Markets was far more useful than these templates, which were unused and were created by a blocked sockpuppet. -- Tdl1060 (talk) 21:41, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- Tdl1060, I believe I checked and found that it was not in use. But why write to me? If you think the other templates should be deleted, tag them appropriately. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:40, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
Template:Louisiana Radio Markets was orphaned and tagged by a block evading sockpuppet vandal, who also created the templates that I linked to. They were also trying to get other templates deleted at the time they were blocked, but were unsuccessful. I would tag these templates db-t3, as being substantial duplications of Template:Louisiana Radio Markets, but you deleted that template, and the problem with tagging them db-g5 is that the parent account was not blocked at the time. Would they qualify under G6 or another criteria? I don't know what tag was used to get Template:Louisiana Radio Markets deleted, but the block evading vandal that tagged it, User:WXA53, tagged the other template that they were trying to get deleted with simply "some reason" as the rationale. -- Tdl1060 (talk) 20:06, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
Charlie Skarbek
I see you deleted Charlie Skarbek in July 2015. The article has been created again. — Schwede66 23:25, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
- So what? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:40, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
I do not know, as a non-admin, what the reason was for deletion back then. But you will be able to see the deleted article and can thus assess whether the new article is different and merits inclusion in WP, or the grounds for deletion are again met. Schwede66 22:35, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- "I do not know the reason for deletion". What are you talking? If you know that I deleted it, then you can see the deletion reason in the same log entry. But why do you need to see the previous version? Are you not capable of judging for yourself whether the current version of the article establishes notability? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:31, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
I do not know how or where to find the log entry. I saw that you deleted the talk page of the article when I wanted to tag the article for WikiProject Biography; the deletion notice on that redlinked page does not link to the deletion log. It seems that you are much troubled by my queries, and I do apologise for the grief that I appear to give you. As such, feel free to just forget about this and given that Skarbek isn't within my area of interest either (I simply came across this page as I keep an eye on WPNZ article alerts), I shall forget about it as well. Schwede66 00:02, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
- Schwede, I find it very sad that someone with with 80k edits to their name is not using all the wonderful tools that the MediaWiki software provides. Sure Talk:Charlie Skarbek "does not link to the deletion log". No - what it does is display the deletion log entry for that page. Now the fact that I deleted it is strong circumstantial evidence that I deleted the corresponding article as well but why not get proper evidence? Methods:
- (long winded) Go to the full deletion log and find the deletion entry for the talk page and you will see that 9 seconds before I deleted it, I deleted the article page and the deletion reason is shown.
- (easier) Go to the history of the article page. Immediately below the title you will see a link "view logs for this page". Follow it!
- (The joke is that details of how to see the deleted content have been sitting on this page since Nov 19.) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:27, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
Draft:Christopher Carter
Hello, I would appreciate it greatly were you to see your way to undelete the draft article Draft:Christopher Carter I was creating. I have just recently gotten through a long term illness which caused me to not attend to matters as I ought to have. I wish to work on the article and hopefully resolve its shortcomings and have it accepted. Best wishes Carroll F. Gray (talk) 07:47, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello RHaworth, I need your help on a newly created article. I have created a unified List of ambassadors that encompasses several other lists that I created too, like List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom. This is something that should have been done long time ago, in order to simplify and organize searches in Wikipedia. Now, in order to keep things nice and tight, and to comply with Wikipedia articles' naming, all my lists, start with: "List of ambassadors.."; however, many articles that they link to, are "List of Ambassadors..".
Of course, I can move one article at a time, but that would be quite a burden, and I could not figure out how to request a technical multiple articles move. The way things are standing right now, I need your help (advice) on how to bulk move (rename) all the linked articles that the List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom and the List of ambassadors of Russia are pointing to, to correspond with the newly created lists. P.S: You can visit Talk:List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom for more info. Appreciate it! MarkYabloko 11:42, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
- So why switch to external format for the link to the talk page? Also note that <br> is very rarely needed and certainly not in a message like yours. Sorry, I am not aware of any mechanism for doing bulk moves. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:40, 21 November 2015 (UTC)
Thank you — RHaworth (talk) for the feeback. Best. MarkYabloko 08:44, 22 November 2015 (UTC)
Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep
Hello. I think you just deleted a page I have been writing on Anjunabeats. Please could you undelete it please? It's not a promo page by a company. I am a genuine fan and I think this is an important page for people that are fans of this record label and its music.
This is my first attempt at writing Wikipedia pages, so if I have not followed the correct procedure please let me know and I will adjust accordingly. However, I would very much like to have a page on Anjunabeats. If necessary please contact me to discuss further. Thanks, Phil Carter — Preceding unsigned comment added by Philcarterlondon (talk • contribs) 16:09, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Grand Theft Auto V hoax pages
Hi RHaworth. I wonder whether you should block the author of the GTA V hoax pages you just deleted. The thing is that these were not your routine hoax articles: it seems that they were actually a way to lure readers to a fake download page that tries to convince people to install what I can only assume is malware. (For instance [5] where the hoax evidence includes poor grammar, low-quality images of the company's logo and a video teaser that never mentions an Android version). — Pichpich (talk) 00:20, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
- Theoretically, you can run a (watered down) version of GTA V on a high-end Android device, so that is more or less plausible, but yes, I'm no stranger to those blatantly obvious scams either. It's either a worthless survey made by black-hat affiliate marketing firms where they get paid for every unwitting user who falls for the scheme, or a variation thereof with a fake, malware-laced APK. I'd say you better block the scammer in question, and have the site blacklisted (or better yet, reported to the likes of Scamvoid or MyWOT). — Blake Gripling (talk) 03:23, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
- I have blocked them. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:19, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

How does Draft:"Block "FACT" become a cross-namespace redirect from mainspace? —103.6.159.85 (talk) 10:23, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

New Queens Park
Hello, could I please have the text of a deleted article? I created New Queens Park some time ago, and it was deleted. Since then, it has been recreated, and has not been deleted for a month now. If I remember correctly (and I mightn't) my article was more in-depth and better-sourced. So, it would be appreciated if you could provide the text. Forgive me if I'm missing something, but what did you actually do? My watch list says that you restored 12 revisions, but I can't actually see any difference on the page, it's still the new version. — Jjamesryan (talk) 22:31, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- You are definitely missing something! Despite having been on Wikipedia for more than a year and clocked up 5000 edits, you apparently have not learnt how to read an article's edit history. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:57, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

Need info
I've published Kambhampadu, Pedakurapadu mandal. I got doubt if I'm eligible for publishing drafts? If yes, that was declined for another user who created, I've updated info and published. -- Vin09 (talk) 13:13, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
- There is no need to ping me on this page! I have no idea what your sentence "if yes …" means. Obviously you should not publish a draft that you have created yourself but beyond that, I am not aware of any rules about who may publish. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:48, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
No, another user created, I improved and published. Any ways thanks.--Vin09 (talk) 14:53, 25 November 2015 (UTC)
Why Prowareness page was deleted ?
Hi RHaworth, Why have you deleted the page without checking with the creator. However I assure you that I have gone through all the terms and conditions of Wikipedia.org before doing the same. All the contents in the article are true to best of my knowledge and of neutral point of view. We will not be doing any promotion or advertisement using the Wikipedia.org Also we have just started the article and are in process of updating the article with proper and decent content which might be helpful for the community. Again , It just information which we shared. I request you to help me in retrieving the deleted material please enable the page. Thanks, Sanjiv04 (talk) 11:27, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

Sandbox reset
Hello I have noticed that you recently cleared my sandbox due for the reason that it was a "promotion only" page. However, I oppose this point because I was working on a barebones sketch of what could have eventually become a draft. Since nobody view sandboxes for information purposes anyway, I see absolutely no reason for this edit. I'd like to continue working on drafts in my sandbox as I have no other place to do so over the span of several days rather than one; I have no time to finish a draft in one day. Please excuse this. — AnonymousMusician (talk) 12:53, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

National Centre for Excellence
The article National Centre for Excellence has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not enough content.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Dat GuyWiki (talk) 14:27, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

Gagauzia in the Bala Türkvizyon Song Contest
Hello this is User:KingDriverFC. A week or so ago you deleted the page Gagauzia in the Bala Türkvizyon Song Contest. Can I please ask you if I can re-create this page? Thank you in advance KingDriverFC (talk) 20:27, 26 November 2015 (UTC).
- Please learn the difference between "can", "may" and "should". Of course you can re-create it - the title is not protected. Yes you may re-create it - you are not subject to a topic ban. Whether you should re-create it is the question if it runs the risk of prompt re-tagging for deletion. But I note that all the other "foo in the Bala Türkvizyon Song Contest" articles exist and, at a quick glance, are not significantly better than yours so you just seem to have been unlucky.
- I shall certainly stand back and take no action if you re-create it. But before you do so, I recommend that you contact KDS4444 (talk · contribs) who applied the speedy tag and ask the direct question: "why is this article worse than the twenty articles for the other participants". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:06, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
Page creation
I would like for you to create a page about a musical artist that has tried to be created multiple times by unprofessional editors. What kind of resources do you need exactly to create the page? His page is locked and can only be created by administrators. — Preceding unsigned comment added by jccreateguy (talk • contribs)
- My lord JC, the required resources are the same as for any page. But in this case you should create in draft: space. If the draft is accepted, unprotection of the title in mainspace will be uncontroversial. Telling me the title of your proposed page might well elicit more information. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:28, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
Indeed it was a hoax
The article- 2015 New York poisoned turkey incident, which I nominated for speedy deletion and which you deep sixed it. It's one and only reference, was taken down as seen here[6]. Still I don't think was the best example of fiction writing at Wikipedia. If I had to make a nomination, it would be this[7]. Speedy deletion
You speedy deleted Nicole hamilton as WP:A7 and WP:G12, but it's hard to understand how you decided it fit that criteria. The tiny fragment captured by Google Search indicates the article reported, "Nicole Hamilton is the the head in Hamilton Laboratories and owner of Hamilton C shell. She studied BS and MS from Stanford University and did her MBA from ..." We have an article on Hamilton C shell, which she wrote, and that certainly is at least some indication of importance, not what I think anyone would would expect satisfies WP:A7, "No indication of importance". And in that fragment, there was certainly no obvious WP:G7, "Unambiguous copyright infringment." The article has been requested at WP:Requested articles/Biography/By profession#Computer scientists with evidence she may meet WP:N per WP:CREATIVE and/or WP:ACADEMIC. My take is this should not have speedied and that if there were questions about notability, it should have gone to WP:AFD. I urge you to reconsider. Msnicki (talk) 04:54, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- The lower case h in the title told me that I was dealing with an inexperienced editor. The absence of independent references confirmed that. I have emailed you the text. A properly referenced article might well stick. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:28, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for sending me the text. I agree this looks like the work of an inexperienced editor, possibly one for whom English is not a first language. I see there are a number of problems with the article, in addition to the lower case H. For example, the titles for her previous positions are garbled (translations of translations?) and it's somewhat out-of-date. She has 9 patents, not 7, and the line count is now reported as roughly 250,000, not 160,000. (But that's not this editor's fault; the referenced bio page is out-of-date compared to her CV.) But still, I think a credible assertion of notability has been made by identifying her as the author of a notable product about which we have an article. Our guidelines ask that we keep articles for which there are sources or other evidence (e.g., per WP:CREATIVE) supporting notability even if the sources have not been cited. We don't delete these articles, we fix them. I think this was not a valid A7 speedy deletion and certainly not a valid G12. It should have been moved to a correctly capitalized title and, if you still wanted it deleted, taken to AfD. Msnicki (talk) 15:33, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- I'm trying to square your remark about the lower case H being evidence of a new user with Davidwr's impression [8] that you moved it to that title inside his sandbox and then to userspace, then deleted it. If accurate, that doesn't seem like the best way to treat a new editor, especially coming from an admin. Can you respond, please? Msnicki (talk) 19:45, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
- (In response to a comment that appeared and then disappeared) I would like to clarify that I'm simply confused about the sequence of events and unable to look it up myself. So I truly don't know what happened. But in the end I think this was probably not a valid A7 nor a valid G12 either, no matter what the bot thought. The only thing I'm pretty sure is that this one should have gone to AfD, where I think it would have attracted some rescue efforts and the outcome would have been keep. Msnicki (talk) 20:58, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
